"Who wants to read next?" Frank asks holding up the book.

"I'll take it." Hades says.

Frank passes the book around and it makes its way to the god.

WE GET ADVICE FROM A POODLE

"What?" Leo asks.

"Just what it says." Annabeth says.

We were pretty miserable that night.

"Oh, how I wish to go back to nights in the woods." Percy says.

Poseidon frowns.

We camped …fast-food wrappers.

Grover frowned. "I need to go back there."

"You'll get there, G-man." Percy says.

"Yeah!" Katie exclaims. "You'll find the wild spots and you'll save them."

Grover blushed slightly and nodded with a small.

We'd taken some …attract anything else.

"Wish you knew you could dry us." Annabeth teases.

"Me too." Grover mumbles. "At least it was summer."

We decided to sleep in shifts. I volunteered to take first watch.

Percy shot a mock glare at Grover. "Yeah totally."

Grover just shrugged. "You needed sleep."

Will nods. "None of you get proper sleep. Watch out when you get back."

Annabeth curled up on the blankets and was snoring as soon as her head hit the ground.

"I don't snore!" Annabeth exclaims.

The demigods who were on the Argo looked to each other before laughing.

"Sorry to break it to you but you do." Hazel says lightly.

Annabeth's mouth drops open. "You're kidding."

"She's not." Nico confirms.

Annabeth covered her face. "Oh my gods."

Grover fluttered … the night sky.

"Was that comfortable?" Will asked.

"It was actually."

"Go ahead and sleep… on the ground.

"It still does." Grover says. "But at least I can do something about it now."

"What does that mean?" Hermes asks, slightly hopeful.

"It'll be in one of these stories." Grover says.

"And the sky. … time to be a satyr."

Percy, Annabeth, Grover, and Thalia smile sadly thinking about the stars and Zoë who lived on in them

"Oh, yeah. … I'll never find Pan."

"Pam?" Travis asks.

Percy snorted and covered his mouth.

Hades looked ahead and held back a similar snort.

"Pam? Like the cooking spray?"

"No! I think like Percy!" Travis wails.

Katie smacked his shoulder.

"Pan!" he cried … license for?"

"Satyrs should just stay home." Dionysus mutters, actually looking slightly sad. "They never come back."

A strange breeze … I'd never known.

"You felt it back then." Thalia says.

"I did." Grover confirms.

"He was there?" Hermes asks perking up.

"He was." Percy nods.

Hermes smiled and sat back.

No one had the heart to tell him the truth until it came up in the books.

"Tell me about the …making fun.

"I would never." Percy says.

"I know that." Grover says.

"The God of Wild … from his sleep."

"The fauns have never said anything about this." Jason says surprised.

"They're very different from Satyrs." Nico says.

"Tell me about it." Frank says.

"And you want …to return alive."

"The first!?" Hazel exclaims.

"Yup." Grover says.

"But … does that mean you succeed." Hazel asks.

"You'll see." Grover says.

"Hang on-the first?" … seen alive again."

"That's sad." Connor says.

"How many have gone?" Aphrodite asks.

"Thousands." Dionysus answers quietly.

"That's so many." Aphrodite frowns.

"Too many."

"Not once in two ..."None."

Grover looked down. "I think I do now."

Percy reached and put a hand on his shoulder. Grover gave him a small smile.

"But you still … to find Pan?"

"You were." Annabeth whispers to her friend. "You gave him rest."

Grover smiles and nods.

"I have to … against a god?"

"Knowing Prissy?" Clarisse says. "A pretty good one."

"How many gods has he fought?" Thalia asks.

"Ummm…" Percy thinks. "Two I think? I few titans and giants too."

Everyone stared at him. He squirmed in his seat after a minute and Hades took pity and continued reading.

"I don't know… His voice faltered.

"We all forgive you." Thalia says.

"I don't." Zeus mutters.

"Father." Thalia says sharply.

Zeus is too shocked to respond and Hades quickly starts again.

"What do you mean…can't talk about it,"

"You're allowed to tell people about me." Thalia says.

"It was just hard to talk about." Grover says. "It was my biggest failure-"

"It was my choice." Thalia says firmly. "You are not to blame."

Grover nods.

His friends would make him believe this if it was the last thing they did.

Grover said, … isn't what it seems."

"I believe that you are right." Athena says.

"Well, duh. I'm getting blamed for stealing a thunder-bolt that Hades took."

"I would never." Hades interrupted himself. "I don't need a firecracker to cause chaos."

Zeus sputtered. "F-Fire cracker!"

"Yes." Hades says and then continues reading.

"That's not … aggressive to me."

"They were pretty chill." Nico says

"I'm aware." Percy says.

"Just making sure."

Grover shook his head. "They were screeching at us: 'Where is it? Where?'"

"You noticed." Annabeth says.

"I did but I just assumed."

"Like the rest of us." Percy says.

"Asking about me…doesn't make sense."

"Hence why you all assumed." Thalia says.

The three nodded.

"I know. …. have any.

"I agree with those two." Jason says pointing to Hazel and Frank. "How was this your easiest quest."

"You'll find out." Percy says.

"I hate the suspense." Apollo says. Most of the people in the room nodded along.

I thought about … care about him."

Poseidon's face fell slightly.

"It's all in the past dad." Percy said with a smile.

Poseidon nodded giving a smile back.

Grover gazed … brave as you.

Will gasped dramatically. "We don't talk bad about ourselves in this house sir."

Grover snorted. "I can think of two people you need to tell that to."

"Hey!" Percy and Nico exclaimed.

"The fact you knew I was talking about you proves my point."

But I'm … what you'd done."

"I'm sure I will." Poseidon says. "Hopefully before brother dearest."

"Yeah? Well … no way west."

"You definitely have enough now." Will says.

"Fleece." Clarisse says grudgingly.

"Atlas." Annabeth adds.

"Labyrinth." Grover says. "Your brother."

"Manhattan." Will adds quietly.

Percy blushed and looked down.

The gods looked to each other. What was going on in the future, and why had this demigod done so much. He was barely seventeen.

Grover looked at … I was asleep.

Percy slumps against Annabeth, eyes closing.

"Why hasn't he fallen asleep in earlier dreams?" Katie asks.

"I think it's because it said he was asleep this time." Athena theorizes.

"That makes sense."

In my dreams, I stood in a dark cavern before a gaping pit.

Even if it looked like Percy was asleep he could still kind of hear what was being read and react. At the mention of the pit he shook slightly.

Annabeth noticed this and took his hand, for her benefit as much as his.

Gray mist creatures …down made me dizzy.

Percy took in a breath and let it out sharply, eyes crinkling in his faux sleep. Annabeth leaned her head down and whispered in his ear to try and help.

The pit … something huge and evil.

Annabeth closed her own eyes and took a deep breath. A few seats over Nico was doing the same thing.

"You got out." Thalia whispered to Nico, trying to keep Annabeth from hearing. Unfortunately, her and Percy hadn't gotten out yet.

Nico nodded and concentrated on the book.

The little hero, … like sheets of lead.

Percy tensed, muscles tight, teeth clenching. His breath was getting harsh.

"It definitely wasn't like this before." Annabeth mutters. "We didn't even know he was dreaming."

"Might be because of your… current situation." Clarisse says softly.

Annabeth nods quietly.

They have misled … at me, pleading: Go!

"He talked to so many." Thalia says darkly.

"We were lucky with Percy." Connor says. "That early on and he had reason to turn.

"He never talked about much from before our quest." Jason says. "What happened?"

"This quest, could have ended badly." Will says. "And we probably wouldn't be here if it had."

The Romans, Piper, and Leo looked to each other. They didn't know a lot about their Greek friend's pasts, and it didn't seem good.

I tried to cry out, …pit unless I stood firm.

Percy tensed even more, hands clenching. Annabeth grabbed them and tired to keep his nails from digging into his palms. He let out a strained noise.

"Percy, it's okay." She whispered to him. "We're in the throne room."

Percy tried to open his eyes, fighting against the effects. He managed for a second before they were forced closed again. In the second that they were open Annabeth could see that he was scared.

"Oh, seaweed brain." Annabeth mutters, running a hand through his hair.

Help me rise, boy. …No! Wake!

Percy twitched as he fought to wake up.

Will put a hand on his shoulder. "If you fight the effects, you might hurt yourself." He says to him. "You need to try and stay calm."

The half-conscious demigod relaxed slightly under the hand.

"That's it Percy." Annabeth says.

The image of my … and it was daylight.

Percy gasped sitting up straight. He looked around rapidly, eyes darting to corners as if trying to find enemies. His hands shakily pulled out his pen and went to uncap it. Annabeth covered his hands with hers to keep him from taking his sword out.

"Where-" He gasped out.

"You're in the throne room." Will says calmly.

"Monsters, Kelli-"

Will kneeled in front of Percy and forced him to look at him. "Five things you can see."

The demigods watched sadly as Will helped their friend through his panic. Tartarus was truly leaving them scared and scarred. It made them all the more determined to get them out quicker. Grover was comforting Annabeth who was also slightly shaking.

The gods stayed quiet, sensing that if they interfered it would not be welcomed. Poseidon watched his son sadly. He was going through so much, and he didn't even know what was happening because it was the future. That's why they were reading he guessed, to try and keep this from happening.

"I'm fine." Percy croaks out as he finishes what Will told him to do.

"Here." Will says holding a tiny piece of ambrosia. "Just to finish calming you, it's safe."

Percy nodded and nibbled, putting his head on Annabeth's shoulder who held his hand tightly.

Will sat down next to him and motioned to Hades.

Hades hesitated to continue reading before starting.

"Well," Annabeth … long was I asleep?"

Percy took deep breaths and stroked Annabeth's knuckles. Annabeth kissed the top of his head.

"Long enough … pink stuffed animal.

"Let me guess." Leo says. "Wasn't stuffed."

"Nope." Grover says.

No. It wasn't a stuffed animal. It was a pink poodle.

"That poor poodle." Artemis frowns.

Grover nodded. "He didn't appreciate being pink."

The poodle … talking to that thing?"

"Cool." Travis says.

"Satyr powers." Grover says.

"Like Percy but with horses." Leo says.

"Basically."

The poodle growled… Gladiola, Percy."

"What kind of name is Gladiola." Ares sneers.

"Not a good one that's what." Leo says.

I stared at … hello to the poodle."

"You said hello to the poodle didn't you." Thalia laughs.

"Possibly." Percy says giving her a small smile.

Thalia smiles back.

The poodle growled.

I said hello to the poodle.

"Called it!" Thalia announces.

"No one doubted you!" Nico exclaims.

"Fight me ghost boy!"

"That's the plan!"

"Why are the big three children so wild." Demeter mutters.

Grover … said. "Duh."

"Of course." Frank says. "Poodles can read."

"Of course," I said. "Silly me."

"Oh my gods." Frank mutters. "Not again."

"One. Brain. Cell." Percy snickers.

"So we turn … I said warily.

"Have we ever taken another bus?" Percy asks.

"Actually. I don't think so." Annabeth says with a laugh.

"True to your word." Jason chuckles.

"No," …train leaves at noon."

"That's the chapter." Hades says putting the book down.

"Lunch?" Apollo asks.

"Yes. Go." Hera says waving a hand.
