This is the first of several short stories relating to Luffy and Uta. Here I will post several stories about both of them as a couple or as friends, be it as children, teenagers or adults, although all stories will take place in One Piece. Almost every chapter stands alone and only a few will have anything to do with each other. If a chapter is connected to another, I will mark it as such. Each chapter will also vary in length, from just 1000 words to over 10000 words. Now, enjoy the chapter.
YOUR WHAT?!
It's a sunny day at sea and our favorite pirates are all going about their business on the Thousand Sunny.
Zoro trains, Sanji cooks, Robin reads, Chopper checks the medicine, Franky fixes some loose floorboards, Usopp fishes, Brook plays music, Jinbei relaxes and Nami takes care of her tangerines. Only one of the Straw Guardians can't be found at the moment, or rather he's where no one would expect him.
Monkey D. Luffy, the captain of the Straw Hat Pirates, who has no idea how to navigate, controls the ship.
So far no one has noticed this because they all think that the ship is still on the same course that the Straw Hat Pirates have been following for days and that Luffy is sleeping somewhere, probably up in the lookout.
Now of course everyone would ask themselves why Luffy should navigate the ship when not only Nami or Jinbei are responsible for it, but he himself is actually not allowed to helm. Well, the answer is actually relatively simple, even if no one could ever guess the answer.
But it doesn't take long until someone finally notices that Luffy is at the wheel.
"Luffy! What are you doing behind the wheel?!" Nami shouted, partly surprised but even more angry.
Luffy just stares at Nami and says "Uh, I'm steering the ship of course".
For this, Luffy gets hit right on the head.
"Ouch! Nami, what's this?!" Luffy asked while rubbing his head.
"I should ask you that! You have zero knowledge of navigation, so what do you think you're doing when you take over my task here and, as expected, do it incorrectly!" Nami asked angrily as she tried to take the wheel again, but Luffy didn't let her go that easily.
"Uh, what do you mean, I follow the log pose," he said and points to said log pose.
Before Nami can say anything else, she catches a glimpse of said log pose and not only sees that they are currently actually following the indicated course, but that said log pose looks somehow different than before.
"Luffy, why does the log pose look different?" Nami asked him calmly, although it's best not to be fooled by her calmness.
"Ah, that's because it's a different log pose. And really Nami, I don't know how to navigate, but I can follow a needle too," Luffy said in a completely carefree tone, but Nami just got angry again.
"What do you mean this is a different log pose?! Why are you using a different log pose, and where did you even get it?!" Nami asked while shaking Luffy angrily by the collar.
Meanwhile, some of the other Straw Hats have also noticed Nami's screaming and are looking to see what's going on.
"What are you yelling about again, demon woman?" Zoro asked irritated because his training was interrupted by her screaming.
"Don't call Nami-Swan a demon woman, miserable Marimo!" Sanji shouted angrily at Zoro.
"Shut up, perverted Ero-Cook! I'll call her whatever I want if she disturbs the entire ship!" Zoro shouted angrily at Sanji.
"Now both of you, calm down, Zoro-san, Sanji-san. But I would also like to know what the problem seems to be, Nami-san, and Luffy-san, why are you behind the wheel?" Jinbei said as he is confused at the sight of Luffy behind the wheel, as well as the Rest of the Straw Hats as soon as they see him there.
"This idiot simply changed our course, and apparently uses a completely new and unknown log pose as well," Nami told them and the rest of them both looked at them confused.
"Huh, what a new and unknown log pose. Where would Luffy suddenly get a different log pose?" asked Usopp, confused.
"I would like to know that too, Nami-san, Luffy. Where did you get this log pose and why would you change course?" Robin asked calmly.
"Uh, I got the log pose from her in bird mail and wanted to get going as quickly as possible. After all, she said it will take at least a few days and I don't want to wait that long," Luffy told his crew, only to leave them all more confused than before.
"Her?" Sanji asked.
"Oi, who exactly are you talking about, Luffy?" Zoro also wanted to know.
"Well, she sent the letter a few days ago and it arrived yesterday afternoon. She said she wanted to see me again as soon as possible, so she sent me this log pose and I got us on track," Luffy continued.
"You still haven't said who it's from, Luffy," Usopp said.
"Is it the Pirate Empress Boa Hankock? Don't tell me she's demanding your presence again and wants you to drive half the Grandline back for her," Nami said, both annoyed and still internally confused as to why the supposedly most beautiful woman in the world is so obsessed with her captain .
"Damn rubber captain, why are you so lucky that the most beautiful woman in the world wants you of all people? That should be me!" Sanji said angrily and frustrated to his captain, whom he respects very much but also wants to kick at the same time.
"Calm down Ero-Cook. As if any woman in the world would want a perverted dart brow," Zoro said boredly to Sanji, but before they could get into another argument, Robin spoke up.
"I don't think it's the Pirate Empress. After all, Luffy said that "she" said in the letter that it would only take a few days to achieve the goal. The island of the Kujas would be at least a few weeks away and I doubt the Pirate Empress would just be out here so far wawa from her island," Robin said after thinking about the situation a bit herself.
But before anyone could say anything else, Luffy spoke up again.
"Well, anyway, Nami, now that you're no longer busy, please take the wheel, I'm hungry. "Sanji, food!" said Luffy and behaved as usual as he made his way to the kitchen.
"Hey wait, Luffy!" Nami said.
"Damn it, Luffy, don't eat all our supplies again!" Sanji said as he ran after him.
The others still wondered what it was about and wanted answers from Luffy, but they also knew that he probably wouldn't say anything more about it while he was busy eating. So Nami somewhat reluctantly took over the new course and the rest of the Straw Hats went back to what they were doing before, although they decided to question their captain further later.
(A few days later)
It has now been a few days since Luffy changed their current course, and despite the fact that all crew members, including those who were not present at the original conversation, tried to find out who the letter and the log pose were from, they couldn't get any answers from their rubber captain.
It's not so much that Luffy refuses to answer his crew, however he is quite vague about it and doesn't seem to want to elaborate on the subject, in fact he even seems a little nervous at times or stares off into the distance and seems to be thinking about something. He. Monkey D Luffy. Think about something. Okay, maybe it's a little mean to put it like that, but his crew still finds it strange to see him so distracted.
Nami followed the new course and fortunately there were no major problems on the journey, despite this being the Grand Line. Nevertheless, the Straw Hats realize that they are getting closer and closer to their goal and hope to finally get answers from Luffy about where they are actually sailing and to whom.
But while they were all thinking about how they could try to get answers from Luffy again, Nami spoke up.
"I see an island! I think we're there! Wherever this is," Nami shouted across the ship, getting everyone's attention, but no one was as enthusiastic and excited as Luffy.
"We're finally here?! Woohoo!" Luffy shouted excitedly and made his way to the front of the ship.
The rest of the Straw Hats also went to see what kind of island they had reached. And pretty soon they were all staring at said island, and as expected, no one knows where they are.
"So Luffy, what exactly is this island?" Zoro asked his captain.
"This is Ele-, Ela, Elegega or something! I can't wait to see her again and introduce her to you. We haven't seen each other in person for a long time and I'm really happy!" said Luffy enthusiastically.
"And this "she" is who exactly, Captain-san?" Brook asked him again for who knows how many times, even though all the Straw Hats want to ask this question.
"Shishishi, come with me, I'll lead you to her!" said Luffy excitedly jumped off the boat and set off.
"Oi, wait Luffy!" Usopp shouted.
"Don't run away again Luffy!" said Franky.
"Quickly, we should follow him!" Chopper said in a panic and didn't want to lose sight of Luffy.
Soon all of the Straw Hats made their way off the ship and onto the island, where they all followed their captain and after a few minutes managed to catch up with him again, where he is scolded by Nami again.
"Do you even know where we're going, Luffy?" Nami asked him.
"Shishishi, don't worry, I haven't been here for a long time, but I still remember the way," Luffy reassured them, although the Straw Hats are still unsure.
"Okay Luffy, I think it's time for some answers. Where are we and who exactly are we looking for? "Who is this "she" you were talking about a few days ago and because of whom you changed our course," Sanji said, stopping because, as much as he trusted Luffy, he was starting to want to know what this was about. It's not just about the fact that his captain suddenly behaves so strangely because of a woman they don't know, he also simply can't imagine the woman he's talking about. No one they all know would require such secrecy, not to mention that their captain has never acted so strangely over any woman. Even Boa Hancock, who seems to be constantly proposing to him (and doesn't this still upset Sanji to think about it, even though he knows about their "relationship", or whatever you want to call it, for months now) doesn't let Luffy act so strangely.
It seems like this mysterious woman means a lot to Luffy, but no matter how hard each of them tries, no one can imagine who it is, after all, they all always thought their captain would never show an interest in women .
But before Luffy could answer while everyone was staring at him, an excited scream was heard from a little ways away.
"Ruuffffyyyyyyy!" they all heard a female voice say and in an instant their captain, who was standing in front of them, was knocked down by a white and red figure.
Their captain is lying on the ground and a female figure is lying on top of him, hugging him so tightly as if she never wanted to let him go.
Said female character has long red-white hair, yellow headphones, a white dress without sleeves and white and red boots. Her figure is very well emphasized, her face, at least the little bit that everyone can see since she buries most of it in Luffy's chest, looks beautiful and the voice they just heard from her was just musical.
Their captain just laughed as they all stared and hugged the still unknown woman.
"Uta! I missed you so much. It's good to see you again!" Luffy said enthusiastically.
Both stood up, but did not break their embrace. They held each other so tightly as if they hadn't seen each other in years. Both have a big smile on their faces, but what shocked the Straw Hats, apart from the entire situation, was the slight blush that both of them have. Not only Uta, from who they now know the name, but also their captain, who was never interested in women and who they are almost certain doesn't even know the difference between man and woman.
After a while the two broke apart and looked at each other, still smiling.
"I'm so glad you're finally here! I couldn't wait to finally see you again. We have much to catch up. I hope you're ready to take one beating after another from me," Uta said with a smile.
"As if, I'll be the one to win our next competition. In fact, I already have the next challenge for you," Luffy said challengingly to Uta.
"Oh yeah, even after all these years, I am still the stronger and more skilled of the two of us. You have never had a chance before and will continue to lose even if I were gentle with you, although a little later I will be happy to challenge you with my gentleness," said Uta, at first mockingly, but then with a hoarse voice and a heavy blush.
Both of them are too busy with each other that they don't notice how the other Straw Hats are still staring at them, each shocked by their...unexpected interaction, but some of them were still able to say something.
"R-Luffy-san... who exactly is that?" Jinbei asked him, stuttering, because he's never seen Luffy like, well, like that. Even though he has only been a member of the Straw Hat crew for a short time, he is aware that Luffy is behaving more than a little unusual.
"Oh, sorry guys, I had already forgotten that you were still here. This is Uta," Luffy said, finally remembering that the other Straw Hats are also present.
"Wait.. wait a minute," Nami said, starting to realize something, "you're... Uta, as in, the idol Uta?!" Nami asked in shock as she not only started to notices the name, but also takes a closer look at her appearance and notices how similar their voices sound.
"Oh! A fan? I didn't think anyone in Luffy's crew would be a fan of mine!" said Uta, a little surprised and proud.
"R-Luffy, how do you know a world-famous idol," asked Robin, who had already noticed that Uta was apparently the idol Uta.
"Oh, she's my childhood friend and my fiancée! In fact, we're here because we want to do our wedding preparations together!" Luffy said happily and carefree.
Well, that got everyone out of their torpor.
"YOUR WHAT!" all the Straw Guardians shouted as one.
Luffy just laughs and Uta, albeit a little shocked by the Straw Hats' reaction, smiles too.
This is the first chapter of the fanfiction and there will be another chapter at some point later.
