It all started with the fall. No, not the fall you're thinking of, although we'll get to that eventually.

No, I mean a literal fall. One second, I was taking a walk to the store, so I could pick up the new Chainsaw Man volume. And then I tripped, and I fell through the floor.

I didn't fall for very long, though, and eventually I landed, miraculously unhurt. After spending a few minutes sitting there, not sure what just happened, I began to take in my surroundings.

I was in a white void, where the floor blended into the background, creating the illusion of standing on nothing, and making me feel slightly uneasy.

Though, all that didn't matter very much, not when I noticed someone standing right in front of me, looking off into the distance..

They looked like both nothing and everything, changing forms every time I blinked. One moment, they were a giant dragon, and the next they were a toy truck.

Though the one thing all these forms had in common, was that they lacked shadows. That gave me a thought, though, and so I took a glance at my own feet.

Just as I had thought, I didn't have any shadows myself, though maybe it was just because of the light coming in from all directions? To test this I covered my eyes with my hands, and to my surprise, I could see every detail on my hand like it wasn't even dark.

I now had even more questions, though, and so I thought it would be a good time to alert the other being in the void to my presence, seeing as how they still hadn't noticed me.

I cleared my throat, and they jumped up in the air, squealing in a rather feminine voice. It was quite funny, especially because they were in the form of a rather rotund seal.

They frantically turned, and once they saw me, their form changed once more, taking on the appearance of what I could only describe as the most generic women I'd ever seen. On a scale of 1-10, she was a solid 6.

No matter how many times I blinked, their form stayed the same.

Once my shock had mostly receded, the being finally spoke up, sounding very irritated.

"You're not supposed to be here, human! I'm supposed to be the one to go down there, and wreak havoc! State who you are, and what your purpose here is, or I'll make you wish you could die!

She slammed her foot on the ground, causing the entire void to shake.

I'd better answer quickly, or I'm toast!

"Um… my name's Clark Bogdanov. I think I tripped and fell here, not that I even know where here is, and I especially don't know who you are."

She looked shocked at that last part, like she'd been personally hurt. That look quickly went away, and was replaced by a look of what I could only call pride.

"Very well then, young Bogdanov, allow me to introduce myself!"

As she spoke, she began posing, changing poses every few seconds.

"I am the trickster goddess, Opilit! And I'm the strongest god this side of the Mophys Multiverse Cluster!"

She stopped posing, and continued.

"As for your other questions, this void is my realm, where I can access the rest of the multiverse from. You say you tripped and fell here, right? Well then you probably just got unlucky and fell through a crack in reality. They're completely rare, and even when one does appear, the odds of someone actually coming across one is almost impossible, what with how much empty space there is in, well, space.

Of course, with how the multiverse is infinite, everything's gonna happen eventually, that's just basic math.

When someone does fall through one, they usually end up somewhere in a random universe, and most often die by suffocating in the cold void of space. You're actually the first faller that's come here, so congrats on that."

I was shocked. The multiverse was real? She was a goddess? I had so many questions, but she was still talking.

"Now, normally, when someone falls into a god's realm, they're either sent back to some random universe, usually one where they can at least live, or they kill them for intruding on their realm.

Lucky for you, I'm neither type. As I said, I'm the goddess of mischief, so I wanna have a little fun."

Fun? What could she mean by that?

"Now then, here's what's gonna happen. You've heard of isekais, right?"

I nodded in affirmation, shocked. I was going to get isekai'd! I hoped it was a good one, and not me being sent to some sort of deathworld to fend for myself.

"Alright, so I'm going to send you to a random universe, however, it will be identical to a fictional universe you at least have some knowledge of. And don't worry, you'll be either aged or de-aged both mentally and physically to whatever the age you need to participate in the main story. It wouldn't be very fun if you just died right when you get there, though, so I'll also give you a random character's powers, skills, and looks. And don't worry, whatever the power system of the universe you get is, you'll be eligible to use it. Also, because of how fate works, unless you actively try to prevent something from happening, it will happen regardless of your actions."

Hell yeah! This was gonna be so cool! I couldn't wait to see what universe I get! I hope it's one I've at least watched before. And I even get a power, too! I hope it's someone strong! Though, they did also say I take on their appearance, so I hope I don't get someone who won't let me fit in wherever I go.

Opilit summoned a giant wheel out of seemingly nowhere, and it was split into hundreds of sections. That made sense, as even if I could only remember a few series, I'd heard a lot of stories in passing. In each section, there was a black box, which I presume would be removed after spinning to reveal where I go.

She then pulled out a second wheel, this one split into even more sections than the last, reaching into the hundreds of thousands. The lines were nearly impossible to make out, and the only reason I knew they were there was because of the enhanced vision this realm seemed to give me.

"Alright," she said, "let's spin the first wheel!"

She spun the wheel and it kept going for nearly 5 minutes. Either the wheel's almost frictionless, or she's just really strong. I'd put my money on the latter, though, seeing as how she is a goddess, after all.

The wheel slowed to a halt, and so Opilit reached for the black box covering the prize.

[RWBY]

The world I'd gotten was RWBY! So, I guess I'd only have to age down a year, right? That's good, I didn't want to have to have my mind regressed to that of a ten year old. Though, will I even be able to go to Beacon? It's not exactly like I have any papers.

"Now then, onto the next wheel!"

She spun this wheel even harder than the first, but eventually it slowed to a stop.

I was confused, how would she even read the name on the section? It's way too small to see.

My question was answered when she waved her hands at the wheel, and the section that had been selected grew until the text was legible.

[REZE]

I'd gotten Reze from Chainsaw Man! On the one hand, she was a girl, and I was a boy, but I was never really that attached to my body like that. Sure, I'd have to deal with all the problems girls have to deal with now, but I'd always wanted to try out what being a girl was like. Of course, she was also really strong, being able to create explosions. And as long as she got some blood, she would heal from anything.

I felt my body change. It was over in a matter of moments, and it was impossible to describe. Afterwards, my clothes changed, turning into a suit, much like the uniforms that the devil hunters wear. I felt memories rush through my mind, not of events, but of skills and knowledge. Knowledge on how to use my abilities, and the skills needed to do them.

The goddess took one last look at me, smiled, and spoke once more.

"I've given you a few bonuses, but you'll have to find them yourself! Have a nice fall!"

And then I fell.

So that was the first chapter of The Power of Foresight and Explosions, my brand new RWBY fic, I hope you liked it!

If you have any questions or comments, feel free to share them!

With all that, goodbye everyone!
