"Hi welcome to the BuyMore Nerd Herd, what can I do for you today, Ma'am." asked the Green haired employee as the woman stared at him, the employee was used to this, while he was wearing the company shirt and looked like an employee, there was one issue that kept coming up.

"Aren't you a little young to be working here?" asked the woman.

"I admit I'm still in high school, ma'am, but I assure you I can handle any and all computer problems you have." said the employee.

"Okay," said the woman, a little skeptical. "My phone has just been acting up and-"

"Keeps turning off." said the employee as he took the phone, and unscrewed the back, "Yeah I know this model, it's known for its bad batteries." as he quickly and expertly took the battery out and replaced it with a fresh one. "Here you go it should start working correctly and that new battery will last twice as long as your old one."

The woman held her phone impressed. "Oh wow, thank you...Izuku." as she read his name tag.

"No problem ma'am," said Izuku as he rang her up. "Here is your receipt and there is a survey at the bottom that you can fill out and get a coupon."

"Thanks again," she said as she paid and left.

"Midoriya." Izuku looked over and saw the assistant manager Daisuke. "The webcams need to be restocked."

"Yes sir," said Izuku as he went to the back of the store where he saw one of his co-workers using his extra-long arms to grab boxes from the top shelf while Izuku grabbed the ladder. 'This world is unfair,' He thought as he grabbed the box. 'In this world, over 80 percent of the world population has powers that we call quirks.' Izuku made it back to the store where he saw the news on one of the TVs on the display of a hero saving the day. 'The world of superheroes is now a reality. Heroes and villains alike from the old comic books are now around every corner.' Izuku started to restock the rack. 'Everyone except me, me, I'm just a quirkless nobody.'

"Deku!"

Izuku flinched slightly as he turned to see an old classmate of his, Katsuki Bakugo, only thing different now is that he was wearing a UA uniform. "Bakugo, I can't talk right now, I'm working."

"I can see that you, moron," said Katsuki. "I just couldn't believe my mom when she said that you got a job, or the fact someone would hire your quirkless ass."

Izuku ignored him as he continued to restock, this just pissed Bakugo off even more. "Hey," said one of Izuku's co-workers, Kenta. "Are you ready to check out man?" he asked Bakugo, who was holding a small flash drive case.

"Next time nerd," said Bakugo as he went to pay for his new case.

Izuku breathed a sigh of relief, "Izuku! You got a customer at the help desk." said Daisuke, causing Izuku to groan.

"This is going to be a long day," said Izuku as he returned to work.

(America, Burbank California)

Hisashi Midoriya yawned as he entered the coffee shop, he looked around for a moment before checking his phone seeing no new messages, he was tempted to leave but decided to grab a coffee at the counter. "Thank god for America's 24 hour coffee shops," he muttered as he got his coffee from the Barista, as he turned to the door a man wearing a trench coat and hat entered the store. "Brian?"

The man turned to Hisashi. "Hisashi?" said Brian, his old college friend, then walked up to Hisashi. "Are you alone?" he asked, looking over his shoulder.

"Am I alone?" repeated Hisashi looking at the man in disbelief. "Do you have any idea what time it is? I mean it's good to see you again after so long, but why did you call me at this hour?"

"Because I am in the shits," he said to Hisashi while his head was turning looking around the room. "I'm in some real trouble and you are the only one right now that has a chance at helping me."

Hisashi looked at his old friend. "What are you talking about?"

"My job, the company I work for, was working on something big."

"What?"

"It was too dangerous, too insane. I had to steal it before someone used it."

"Wait, wait, wait. You stole something from your company?" said Hisashi, now very nervous. "Are you crazy you could go to jail."

"They want to turn everyone into mind puppets." said Brian emphasizing the word puppets."

"What?"

"Okay look I don't have much time," said Brian looking over his shoulder. "But there was an old project that turned people into living computers, it eventually kept getting updated turning people into living weapons and this was way before quirks." Brian then dug a flash drive out of his pocket. "My company brought the project back, they figured if they could put information into people's brains then they could put orders into them as well. This is the core of the prototype." as he shoved the flash drive into Hisashi's hand. "On there is the new updated version of the Intersect, they can't make the mind puppet version with that."

Hisashi held the drive in his hand. "What the hell do you want me to do with it?"

"Send it overseas, to Japan," said Brian. "That's why I called you, send it far away so no one can find it, I've already made it so they can't replicate it without having to start all over. The flash drive will self-destruct the second the program is off of it, as long as nobody opens the file directly then it can be used as proof, so get it to somebody, your brother works for the government right, send this to him and tell him not to open it."

As Brian turned to leave before Hisashi grabbed his shoulder. "Wait, what happens if someone opens it?"

Brian thought it over, "Well they would become a living weapon, they would automatically have the skills and abilities of a doctor, hacker, spy, soldier, martial artist, the list goes on and chances are with the update they will have complete control of their quirk."

"Like getting a quirk," said Hisashi as the situation gave him an idea.

"Hey," said Brian snapping his fingers in front of Hisashi. "I don't know what you're thinking but don't you hear me just don't." Brain feared Hisashi was going to use it for himself.

As this was happening a dark pure black van screeched to a halt outside of the coffee shop as the doors opened and several guns started opening fire at the coffee.

Brian was shot several times in the back as Hisashi quickly dived behind the counter with the barista. The bullets continued to fire, shredding the small coffee shop.

The bullets stopped, Hisashi looked at the Barista. "You okay?" the girl nodded. "Is there a back door?" she nodded again.

Breaking glass got his attention as he peeked around the counter to see three men wearing full tactical gear walk into the building with rifles raised. "Eyes on the suspect." said one as he closed in on Brian's body.

Hisashi's body was shaking as he looked at his friend's body as it became clear to him just how real this was.

"Suspect is doing something!" said one of the men as a black ooze-like gas started to leak out of Brian's body.

Brian raised his head slightly towards Hisashi and mouthed one word. 'Fireworks' Hisashi knew what he meant, Brian's quirk allowed him to make a form of gas from his body, they used to make small fireworks together using their quirks, and right now his quirk was so thick you could mistake it for floating ink. Hisashi didn't want to do it, but he knew he had to. He turned to the Barista. "On my signal run to the back." Hisashi didn't wait for a reply as he sucked in a breath of air.

Hisashi jumped out from the counter and before the gunman could fire he let out a fast fireball igniting the gas causing a powerful explosion that engulfed the gunman and sent Hisashi and the Barista flying into the back of the building.

(Japan)

Izuku was walking home from work when his phone started ringing, he looked down and saw it was from his dad. "Hey dad, how's it going?"

"Izuku!" grunted his dad.

"Dad, are you okay?" asked Izuku.

"Oh yeah, I'm doing just fine, you know old age and all. How about you son," said Hisashi as he made it back to his building and started making his way upstairs, ignoring the pain and bleeding from the side of his stomach. 'Shit, that hurt a lot. I think I got shot in the explosion, I can't tell, my entire right side feels in pain. I hope that Barista got out okay.' he thought as his son was talking. "I'm sorry Izuku what was that."

"Oh nothing, just work being work," said Izuku as he walked down the street.

"Yes work, you got that job right," said Hisashi remembering what Inko said. "Why did you get that job son? I mean I know you've taken an interest in computers but why, shouldn't you be doing high schooler stuff?"

Izuku was silent for a moment, "Come on dad, you know I don't have any real friends. I've accepted how things are, I'm quirkless, I can't be a hero, the best thing I can do is start a job early and get some money for college."

Hisashi was silent for a moment as he looked down at the flash drive. "You really wanted to be a hero, huh?"

"Yeah, it was my dream," said Izuku before becoming silent, "Before…"

"All Might," finished his father, "He was wrong."

"Dad…"

"What if...what if you could become a hero, you know get a quirk would you still try to be a hero," said Hisashi as he opened the door to his small apartment.

"Absolutely," said Izuku, thinking it was just a hypothetical. "It's been my dream for the longest time."

'I should just send this to my brother,' thought Hisashi. 'That would be the right thing to do but would it be the right thing to do as a father? I could make his dream a reality.' as he made it to his laptop. "I'm sorry, what was that?"

"I said are you sure you're okay, you sound hurt," said Izuku worried about his father.

"Oh, I just met up with an old friend at a coffee shop that later exploded, but I got to play hero for a bit and save a Barista." as Hisashi started his small computer and plugged the flash drive-in.

Izuku was silent for a moment. "So is that some sort of code that you went to some sort of bar?"

Hisashi laughed "No, son, no. I'm sending you something, an email. It might change your life, I don't know to be honest, but I trust my friend. If you don't want it just send it to my brother or go to the police with it." 'I'm already dead, I don't think I'll see tomorrow. At least Izuku might see a brighter future.'

"What?" asked Izuku who was now super confused.

Hisashi opened the flash drive folder and it immediately asked for an email address to send the files, as he did he heard a helicopter getting closer but maybe he was just paranoid. "I might not be able to see you anytime soon, I'm afraid. Work has been killer around here."

"Don't worry dad, I get it. Mom and I wouldn't have a roof over our heads if you hadn't taken that job," said Izuku.

Hisashi paused for a moment as the sound of the helicopter was getting louder and louder. "Izuku, you are a young man now, you're in high school, almost an adult. I want you to promise me something, I want you to promise me that if anything were to happen to me you would take care of your mother."

"Of course dad," said Izuku, getting worried about where this was going. "Why are you asking me this?"

"I also want you to promise me to live your life the best you can, get the job you want, get the girl you want and give your mother some grandchildren."

Izuku's face turned red, "Dad are you drunk?"

"Nah, if I was drunk I'd be telling you to get a harem, and give us enough grandkids to fill a baseball team." joked Hisashi as he saw light move across his window.

Izuku froze in the middle of the street. "Okay, this is by far the weirdest conversation we have ever had."

Hisashi pressed the send button. "Good, then I hope you remember this for a long time." suddenly the flash drive in the laptop started to create sparks as it suddenly burst into a small flame making a small squeaking noise and a foul smell. "oh that stinks."

"Dad, what was that noise?"

"Oh nothing," said Hisashi as he stepped away from his computer that was now partly smoking. "Just the heater clicking, you know these old American buildings." as he stood up he could see a small dot on the window. "Izuku I'm afraid I might have to go now, but I want you to know I love you son, I know I might not have been the best at showing you it but I love you."

"I love you too dad."

"Thank you, son, and tell your mother I love her and I'm sorry for taking this job and leaving her and you in Japan, can you tell her that for me."

"Of course dad."

Hisashi stood as the red dot made its way to him, "Goodbye Izuku."

"Goodbye dad," said Izuku as the line went dead, Izuku stared at his phone for a few minutes before putting it away and heading upstairs to the apartment.

~o~

As he entered the small apartment he was welcomed by his mom. "Welcome home Izuku, how was work today?"

"Not bad, it was work," he said quietly.

"Is everything alright?" asked Inko.

"Yeah, I just had a weird conversation with dad." as Izuku gave her a brief summary.

Inko laughed. "Yeah he actually did call me early and said he was meeting up with an old friend, I wouldn't be surprised if they hit up a bar, your dad can drink when he wants to, but he is right though I wouldn't mind a grandchild."

Izuku gave a slight smile, "Yeah, I'll get right on that. I'm going to see what dad sent me then go to bed."

"Yeah I'm going to get some sleep as well," said Inko as she made her way to her room.

Izuku went to his room and closed the door. He then sat down with his custom computer, one good thing about his new job was that he was able to make his own computer. He quickly went to his email and opened it. "Okay, dad let's see what you sent me." Izuku was then suddenly bombarded with images as his screen rapidly flashed from image to image, for a moment Izuku wanted to look away but couldn't as he was suddenly in a trance as information after information was absorbed by his brain as his subconscious took over.

~o~

Intersect online, mental rewire incomplete, mental database completed, Intersect combat files download, mental implements unadvisable, mental muscle connection processing, rerouting mental images for mental training. Subject Izuku is ready to go online.

Izuku opened his eyes as he looked around. He was still in his computer chair as he was before but now the morning light was now shining through his window. 'Did I fall asleep in my computer chair?' wondered Izuku as he got up and stretched as he did he started moving his limbs in a different way stretching them out, making them feel far better than usual. 'Huh, where did I learn those stretches?'

Izuku left his room as he made his way to the kitchen where he saw his mom was getting ingredients out ready to cook breakfast. "Morning, Izuku."

"Morning mom," said Izuku as he looked down at the ingredients, his eyes lingering on each one of them.

Inko noticed this, "What do you want to cook today."

"Sure," said Izuku as he stepped forward and grabbed a pan, and started the stovetop.

Inko was so surprised, Izuku helped every now and then but he just jumped right in, she then watched in amazement as he perfectly began to cooking the food, he cut the onions and chives with expert skill, quick and easily, effortlessly cracked the egg and grilled the fish at the same time. In no time at all Izuku perfectly prepared two breakfast plates for the both of them with speed and grace neither of them had seen before. "Izuku, since when could you cook like that?"

Izuku was silent as he looked down at the two picture perfect plates of food he just made. "I have no idea."

~o~

After breakfast, Izuku quickly got dressed and ready for school, he wasn't able to get into any hero school because he was quirkless so he settled for a general study high school that had support and business courses in hopes that he could get into a college that was hero related. Though currently he was just in the general study course but was taking classes from the other courses.

As he walked to school, he started to notice all sorts of things, the cracks on the road, the way people walked and acted, even the way he was walking. He was now walking straighter and taller than before, it felt better to walk now and he could tell it was good for him. 'Something is different with me.'

"Come on guys we got to get to school, guys."

Izuku looked over to see a few grade-schoolers jumping off of a set of swings and running towards their school. Izuku paused for a moment as he stared at the swings, he could see himself jumping up and grabbing the bars and swinging himself over the bars landing on top of them as if a ghost of himself was already doing it.

Izuku looked around and noticed that no one was around. He took a deep breath and ran at the swing at full speed, jumping and grabbing the bar, feeling the rush of air as he let go at the peak of the swing, doing a single backflip before landing perfectly on the bar. Izuku was breathing heavily as he was several feet off the ground and somehow was able to stand on the top of the swing, he even felt his body adjust automatically to keep himself balanced on the bar.

"Hey, you." Izuku turned around on the top of the swing, to see a police officer looking at him. "Get off the swing, kid."

Izuku then leaned back before backflipping off of the swing set and landing perfectly on his feet. "Did you just see that?" he asked the officer as he was still trying to process what just happened.

"Yeah I saw that and you can't be using your quirk like that, kid." said the officer.

"Quirk?" repeated Izuku as the word seemed to echo in his head.

"Yes, your quirk, I know it might not seem much, but you can't just use it to climb playground equipment."

"Right, sorry sir," said Izuku. "I'll just be going to school now." as Izuku began to walk off towards his school. 'HOLY SHIT WHAT WAS THAT!' was his only thought as he quietly walked to school.

As he did his mind raced with possibilities, he ignored everyone around him as other students started walking towards the main building as this was happening several of the morning clubs started to pack up for first period, the soccer club decided to have a little fun as one member kicked the ball one last time at the goal, only to miss widely as it soared towards a group of girls that were walking near Izuku.

One of the girls let out a small scream as she saw it coming, but Izuku didn't even think as his body reacted as he suddenly did a high kick, kicking the ball straight up in the air. "Huh?" as he stared upward at the ball.

Everyone watched in awe as they saw the quirkless kid, kick the ball straight up and as it came back down, but to Izuku it came back down slowly, Izuku then stuck his leg out bouncing the ball, which he then proceeded to juggle in front of the whole school and soccer club better than the club members could, he bounced it from knee to knee, over his head and back again, to top it off after bouncing it off of his chest Izuku kicked the ball perfectly causing it to curve in mid-air, landing right in the goal.

The school was suddenly dead silent as everyone looked at Izuku, who was just as amazed as they were. Izuku turned and saw everyone staring at him as he quietly walked inside the school.

~o~

Soon the whole school was buzzing about Izuku, even in the middle of class whispers could be heard, but Izuku wasn't paying any attention as he was now furiously writing in his notebook. He was making notes of everything that had happened today so far, 'what the hell is happening to me, it's as if my brain and body are going into overdrive. It's like I have another mind inside me, helping me control my actions, or like a computer.' That's what made Izuku realize something. "The e-mail from dad."

"Mr. Midoryia," said the teacher. "I know you have had an eventful day but class is still in session."

"Yes, sensei, sorry," said Izuku as he shut his notebook.

"Well then now that I have your attention, how about you give the equation on the board a try." said the Teacher.

"Equation?" said Izuku as he took a good look at the board.

"Yes, the one I put up at the start of the week," said the Teacher as he saw Izuku staring at the board. "Don't worry I don't actually expect you to actually solve it, I don't expect any of you to solve it, It is advanced college-level math and-"

"Four over pie."

"Wait what?" said the teacher as he turned to Izuku.

"The answer is four over pie," said Izuku leaving the teacher stunned and the class staring at him. "Uh here let me show you." Izuku went to the board and grabbed the chalk as he then wrote out how he solved the equation step by step making it easy for everybody to understand. "..and that is how I got four over pie." The teacher just stared at Izuku, too stunned to move even when the bell rang. "Uh, sir the bell for lunch."

"Uh yes uh class dismissed." said the Teacher as he just stared at the board while the class left.

~o~

Izuku was in the corner of the cafeteria eating his lunch as he used his phone to check his e-mail. 'What the hell, I know that file was sent to my computer, why can't I see it on my phone?' he thought. As he did he felt his brain buzz for a moment. "The files of the intersect can't be accessed without being on the main computer it was opened with." Izuku slapped his hand over his mouth realizing he was the one who said it. 'What the fuck!' he thought for a moment before slowly bringing his hand away from his mouth and taking a deep breath. 'What is the Intersect?' Izuku asked in his head.

Suddenly a flash appeared in his head as he heard a computerized voice of himself in his head. 'The Intersect is a highly advanced computer that was developed years ago at the turn of the twenty-first century by the FBI and the CIA. Its purpose was to integrate information into someone's subconscious.'

Izuku twitched for a second before he blinked and was back in the cafeteria. "What the..."

"HEY!"

Izuku slowly turned to see a tall well-toned upperclassman walking towards him. "Hi."

The guy looked him up and down, "So you're the quirkless brat that humiliated my boys today."

Izuku blinked for a second. "What?"

The guy then bent down and got close to Izuku's face. "Do you have any idea who I am?" Izuku shook his head. "I'm the president of the soccer club."

"Um okay, that's nice," said Izuku as his mind was elsewhere.

The soccer president did not like how calm Izuku was acting, he reached out and grabbed Izuku by the shirt bringing him up to his face. "Do you think this is funny making fun of the soccer club?"

This got everyone's attention in the cafeteria. "Kaida put that boy down now!" ordered a girl, an upperclassman as well.

"Shut it, Miko," said Kaida, causing small sparks of electricity to dance around his head. "This quirkless idiot needs to know his place."

Izuku wasn't scared of the boy but was amazed at what he was seeing all around him, his mind was racing showing him everything he could do to get out, it showed him several moves to hurt or incapacitate him, so Izuku did the least dangerous move that would stop the gave Kaida one last look before he followed his brain and dropped his weight while simultaneously grabbing his wrists and twisting both the wrist and himself, throwing the tallboy over his shoulder like it was nothing. Everyone saw how Kaida went from holding Izuku to Kaida now being thrown over Izuku about to be slammed on the ground.

Right before he would have hit the ground, Izuku quickly reached down and grabbed the back of his school uniform, keeping his head and upper body from hitting the ground, Izuku then gently lowered the boy's head to the ground. As Izuku let go of he looked around and saw that everyone was staring at him with eyes wide and jaws dropped. "Well I think that's good enough for lunch," said Izuku as he grabbed his stuff and ran out of the cafeteria.

~o~

Izuku for the first time skipped class as he hid inside the school library. Izuku hid in the back and made sure the coast was clear as he sat down. "Okay, Intersect what are you doing to me?" he asked.

And again a computerized voice of himself was heard in his head. 'The Intersect is currently modifying your sub-par body so that it might be more utilized in the future.'

"Whoa, whoa, wait what do you mean modify my body, I thought the Intersect was all about information?"

'Those were the older versions of the Intersect,' another flash of images appeared in Izuku's head showing people in front of flashing computers, 'The first versions of the intersect were all about storing an incredibly large sum of information on a person's brain, so they could instantly recall information on the field," The scene changed as Izuku was now watching people fight in a dojo, with one of the men wearing sunglasses, 'The second version of the Intersect,' as a large image of the sunglasses appeared in front of him showing the inside of the lens were actually small screens. 'Was all about teaching others physical movements incredible quick, having them learn martial arts, bomb defusing, or basic training in an instant,' The fighting in the dojo stopped at the man took off the sunglasses, 'Though this showed to be a problem as only a few people could keep and retain all the knowledge.'

The scene changed as Izuku found himself in a lab where he saw a man working on a computer looking at a simulation of a brain.'The third version saw to correct that problem by making it so anyone could retain the information and more, with the third version the creator discovered how to go even further. Not only to make it so anyone can download the intersect but to also have incredible control over one's body.' as the scene changed again as Izuku saw several people, monks, athletes, and what appeared to be a professor being scanned as they did tests. 'Monks with proper training discovered a way to change their body temperature with just a thought, athletes with mental training can push the human limits, detectives, professors, and other scientists can solve several complex puzzles in their head by recreating a thinking space in their head otherwise known as a mind castle, just like you are now.'

"Me?" asked Izuku as a mirror appeared in front of him.

"Yes, you," said Izuku's reflection with the same computer voice.

"Okay that is freaky," said Izuku as he looked at his reflection. "So if I am getting all this straight, my dad sent me some sort of computer program that turned my brain into a living computer and you are my subconscious, my hard drive so to speak."

"Somewhat," said his reflection. "The program told your brain to create me inside your head, technically I am not a computer, but something you created on your own with the intersect guiding your subconscious while it filled your brain with several thousand terabytes of information."

"Wait, stop, you know what the Intersect knows, right, or at least what it has told you. How did my dad get a version of it?"

"I don't know, but I can make a calculated guess," Izuku signaled for his reflection or the Intersect to continue. "This version of the intersect that was downloaded into was just the core base as the full version was being designed for mental manipulation on a mass scale."

"WHAT!"

"The latest version was supposed to also implement subcommands to the people who were forced to download so that when the command was ordered, it must be followed. This of course was a topic that was furiously debated by almost everyone who was involved in the project."

"Wait, was my dad involved in the project?"

"No, he was not, but then again I have no idea who was involved, the information given on the intersect referred to everyone in code names, but I highly doubt he was involved, chances are he knew someone who was and that person wanted to get rid of the intersect, instead of getting rid of it, he chooses to give it to you."

The conversation on the phone echoed in Izuku's head, "I said I wanted to be a hero and he just gave me the power to be one." As Izuku started to piece things together. "I need to talk to him, how do I get out of here?"

"It's your brain." said the reflection. "It's under your control."

"Oh right." as Izuku closed his eyes and then opened them again revealing himself back in the library. He checked his phone showing he was only in his mind for a few minutes, "Huh felt longer than that, then again I guess we were moving at the speed of thought." Izuku then looked around again not seeing anyone in the library, Izuku then quickly dialed his dad's number. "Come on, come on."

The phone buzzed. "I'm sorry but the number you are trying to reach is no longer available."

Izuku hung up, "His work phone." as he dialed his dad's work number and held his breath.

"Hello Naki shipping company, this is Hiashi speaking."

"DAD!"

"Izuku, hey buddy how ya doing?" said his dad's voice over the phone.

Before Izuku could respond he got a warning from the Intersect, "Halt, voice pattern not consistent with previous conversation with Hisashi Midoriya."

'What?' Thought Izuku, as his blood froze.

"The Intersect version 9 has the ability to scan memories of the user to detect patterns. The voice you are speaking with does sound like your father in a general sense but it doesn't match his voice patterns, all signs indicate that you are speaking with someone who is altering their voice to sound like your father."

'I'm not talking to my dad,' Thought Izuku in horror, 'Then who am I speaking with?'

"I do not know." responded the Intersect.

'What do I do here?' Thought Izuku as he began to inwardly panic.

"I do not know, I can give you a few options but I have no power to take any control over your body or actions. So what you do next is your choice. Warning, it has been nearly a full second since the voice asked how you were doing." Warned the Intersect.

"I'm doing great dad," Izuku said to the voice over the phone, making sure to keep his voice calm. "I just wanted to call and double check everything was okay, your call last night was a little weird."

"Oh that was nothing, just met up with an old friend for some drinks, is all." Said the voice before asking, "Hey Izuku, I have a question, has my brother called you guys at all, just a little curious his birthday is next month."

That is when the Intersect chimed in, "Information is correct, according to your memories, your uncle's birthday is next month but your uncle has never once called you or your mom about his birthday."

Izuku then hummed, "I don't think so, I mean he might have called mom, but I haven't heard anything from uncle Hideki in a while, are you planning on coming back for his birthday?"

"Not exactly," spoke the voice, "I'm just kind of setting a reminder, to get him something good, he is about to turn 45 after all."

"That information is true," said the Intersect, "Your uncle is about to turn 45."

'That's not important at the moment,' Thought Izuku before taking a deep breath, "Well okay dad, I just wanted to call and double check on how you were doing."

"Well thanks son, that means a lot." said the voice, "I have to get back to work, kind of running a late night tonight but I'll talk to you later."

"Okay dad," said Izuku as a silent tear went down his cheek, "I'll talk to you later." as the phone line was cut.

Izuku then leaned against the library wall before sliding down the wall. Izuku wanted to cry but when he opened his eyes he was back home with a version of himself looking at him, "I'm sorry but now is not the time to cry."

Izuku ignored this for a moment as he let his tears roll down his face, "Really my dad is dead."

"Most likely, yes."

"Why?"

The Intersect buzzed for a moment before several images appeared in front of Izuku showing his family and his uncle Hideki. "Your uncle Hideki works for the government as the head of the Japanese international hero coordinator, chances are your father was given the Intersect to be given to your Uncle for safety, but someone must have told him the power that the computer program could give a person. He knew it would be the thing to grant you your life long wish, he died to send you to your dream."

"At the cost of his life."

"Yes."

Izuku was silent for a moment, "So what should I do now? How do I tell anyone about this?"

The Intersect thought for a moment, "You shouldn't, whoever killed your father is trying to look for the Intersect that is now in your head, if you do anything out of the ordinary it will put you on their radar."

Izuku stood up and looked around the mental version of his home, he raised his hands, "Clear the area, blank space." The area changed to a blank white void, "Good, okay then, here are the facts." More images popped up showing his dad, "My dad was in California, he gave me the Intersect to make me a hero." An image of Izuku wearing a cape appeared, "But I have been quirkless my whole life, if suddenly I started showing powers right after my dad gave me the Intersect people will know. Not to mention it wasn't for me, whoever gave it to my dad was most likely trying to get it to my uncle who works with big time heroes like All Might." As an Image of All Might appeared.

"But your father gave me to you so you could become a hero." said the Intersect. "Which also has put you and your family in danger. By all logic a foolish choice driven by emotions."

Izuku turned to the mental image of himself, "You really are a computer." Izuku then focused, causing an image of his father to appear. "I know it was stupid and part of me wishes he did something differently and I'm sure my father would have if he could. He most likely knew he was a dead man before sending me the Intersect."

"Most likely, but now you are backed into a corner. You can't use the power you have been given without becoming a target."

"I'm already a target," said Izuku as he gave the INtersect a determined look, "But now I have a target of my own, I will bring them to justice, I don't know if I'll become the hero I dreamed of or the hero my father wanted but I won't let these murders do as they please. I will put a stop to them no matter what."

The Intersect remained unfazed. "Your odds are slim but not impossible, very well sir, shall we get to work."

"Let's get started."

A man wearing a suit adjusted his sunglasses as he looked around the apartment that once belonged to one Hisashi Midoriya. The apartment was being cleaned from head to toe by agents looking for anything, the man turned to someone looking at the remains of Hisashi's computer before he shook his head. "Damn." said the man before pulling out his phone.

"Please tell me you have something." said the voice over the phone.

"I'm afraid not. The guy's computer is fried and it looks like he used his fire breath to turn his phone into ash and burn half of his floor."

"DAMMIT!" roared over the phone as the sound of several objects colliding with what the man guessed was the wall.

"Have we any information on who the last person he contacted was?"

"No idea," said the voice as it became calm. "He made several phone calls after he ran from the coffee shop, he probably knew his time was coming and made a few phone calls saying his goodbyes. Chances are though he was trying to get into contact with his brother who works with heroes."

"I assume I have a plane ticket."

"You leave in an hour. Don't make contact with any of the Midoriya's, just watch them from a distance for now, you'll get back up when more agents are available."

"Understood, I'll head to Japan and monitor Hideki Midoriya."

"Also monitor Hisashi's family as well, I have a feeling if they want to hurt the family they will go for the weakest link at the moment."

"Understood."

A man hung up the phone before putting it on the table. "Well, I do believe we can cross the kid off our list."

A second voice chuckled. "Who's idea was it to check the quirkless kid?"

"I was honestly hoping that it would be the case," said a Third. "It would have been much easier to steal the program back from a child."

"He's right, if the boy got it then it would have made our lives easier. Now it all but confirms that our program is in the hands of a government agent now." said a Fourth.

"We weren't able to recover any of the data from our main computer, not even from the flash drive that was used to take it?" asked the second voice.

"Nope," said the first voice, "Brian destroyed the main computer and deleted all of our back ups. That flash drive he used to steal the core was programmed to fry itself after the data on it was sent. To make things worse that flash drive also ran a second program to bounce the data around like a ping pong ball, we have no idea where it was sent. That asshole crossed his T's and dotted his I's we are officially starting from square one."

"Do you realize how long it takes to make an Intersect," replied the Third in an angry tone. "For the V1 it takes months alone to make, the core we made took years and it wasn't even the final product, starting from square one means it might take decades to get back from where we started."

"Not necessarily," said a Fifth voice getting the room's attention, "We have just a simple set back, we simply just need to find the complete version of the core, we know that it's on a computer in Japan, we simply have to find it first. All the pieces are well within our ring of influence. We will be victorious and this speed pump won't hinder our progress at all."
