Chapter 1: Quirks and Destiny
Kaito Takashi's life in Musutafu City was anything but extraordinary. He attended Saichi Middle School like many others. However, Kaito was different. Born with a quirk that set him apart from his peers, he possessed the ability to permanently copy one quirk from any person, and he could swap that copied quirk for another whenever he pleased.
One sunny afternoon, Musutafu City was buzzing with excitement. All Might, the Symbol of Peace and the greatest hero, was holding a fan meeting in the heart of the city. Fans from all over had gathered to catch a glimpse of the hero they admired. Kaito, curious but not particularly enamored by heroes, found himself passing by the crowd.
As he strolled through the sea of fans, Kaito noticed the palpable energy in the air. People cheered, and the atmosphere was electrifying. He decided to join the crowd, hoping to catch a closer look at the legendary hero.
All Might, with his trademark smile and towering presence, addressed the audience. Kaito observed from a distance, watching the hero interact with his fans. The excitement was contagious, and Kaito couldn't help but feel a surge of energy despite his usual disinterest in hero affairs.
However, fate had a different plan for Kaito that day. As the fan meeting continued, a commotion in the crowd caught All Might's attention. A group of villains, taking advantage of the large gathering, attempted to cause chaos. All Might, ever the symbol of peace, sprang into action.
Kaito found himself caught in the middle of the chaos. Panicked, he tried to navigate through the crowd to safety. In the midst of the confusion, All Might, with a powerful punch, swiftly took down the villains. Kaito, caught off guard, stumbled and collided with All Might.
In that brief contact, Kaito's quirk activated. Unbeknownst to him, the quirk selected All Might's power as the one to be permanently copied. Kaito, still dazed from the encounter, didn't immediately realize the magnitude of the change within him.
Two days later, as Kaito went about his routine, he began to sense a peculiar energy coursing through him. His body felt different, and he couldn't quite put a finger on what had changed. Suddenly, the air around him crackled with power, and Kaito felt a surge of strength unlike anything he'd ever experienced.
Confused, he flexed his muscles, only to see the ghostly image of One For All – All Might's quirk – manifest around him. Shocked and bewildered, Kaito couldn't fathom the source of this newfound power. It was as if All Might's quirk had become a part of him, but without the accumulated strength and experience that came with it.
Now armed with the awesome power of the Symbol of Peace, Kaito Takashi stood at the crossroads of destiny, unsure of the path that lay ahead.
