p style="text-align: left;"Chapter 5: To the City of Stormsbr /br /-o-o-o-br /br /Sasuke has never felt fear like this in his life. Not when the Oni Village was attacked by that greater demon, not when his older brother left their village to serve a demon lord. This aura before them is menacing, oppressive, harsh and powerful. So unlike Naruto that it brought a shiver down to the very recess of his soul. It's beyond and unlike he's ever felt before. It chokes at him down to his very /br /And yet, Naruto was hanging on to… her like it was /br /"Milim-neesama!" Naruto happily hugged and clung to the source of this vile feeling. Wait, what did he say? Neesama? Naruto. Gentle. Carefree. Kind and Generous. An aura that brings the sun to shame, is related to this… catastrophe in the flesh? Sasuke couldn't wrap his head around /br /"Wahahaa… You did your mission splendidly well dear cousin. I expect nothing less. A spar, dear Naru? To celebrate of course!" Cousin? Cousin!? Sasuke's mind reeled. Surely not his gentle and kind /br /"You're on Milim-neesama. I have some cool new tricks of my own." Naruto declared as his aura flared. Sasuke shivered as his sweet and gentle Naruto emitted an aura equally as vile and oppressive. His golden light clashing against his cousin's /br /"This lightning. You truly are a true dragon, Naru-chan. This will be fun."br /br /Sasuke had to shield himself as the clashes of gold and purple reached the skies. Golden lightning electrifies the very air he's breathing. But Sasuke was thankful. The clash doesn't seem to contain any killing intent. Naruto and this creature, Milim-a demon lord as Sasuke would guess- were laughing as their fists met. The air splitting around them, trees uprooted, rocks and hills shaking. And for a moment, Sasuke was worried for his new /br /Naruto doesn't seem that much older than him and yet he's facing a creature of this level. The final clash had hints of killing intent in it, mostly from Milim and Sasuke was increasingly concerned. Thankfully, just as quickly as it started, it stopped, the fighting is over with Naruto grinning sheepishly. Milim was held by threads and more auras /br /"Lady Milim! You promised Lord Rimuru."br /br /"Ahh brother Souei, you don't need to do that. I lost that duel fair and square. I still have ways to go but one day, I'll beat you Milim-neesama." Naruto said. Sasuke frowned as the Kijin now identified as Souei stepped from the shadows. Souka and the others came. These are not Kijin and Majin he knew. But he relaxed, deducing that they are with his new /br /Milim just rolled her eyes and broke free from Souei's thread. Ignoring the Kijin and the others, she grinned and carried Naruto on her shoulders. "You'll get there someday Naru-chan, once you become demon lord we'll fight to our heart's content. Now who might you be?" Milim turned to Sasuke with a wicked smile in her /br /There goes that oppressive aura again and Sasuke was rooted in place as she towered over /br /"This is Sasuke, a new friend." Naruto introduced him as he jumped from Milim's /br /"You named him?" It was Souei who asked, inspecting Sasuke with renewed interest. "You show promise, Kijin. Join my ranks. And I'll train you properly."br /br /"Kijin?" Sasuke asked. "I'm… an ogr—- oh… I must have evolved." He looked at his reflection in the river nearby. He looked more human now. His dark eyes stared at him and he can't help but wonder what new skills he /br /"The Kurayami Intelligence is Lord Rimuru's most trusted intelligence network. I will make sure you grow into a fine and powerful assassin."br /br /At Souei's words, Sasuke was filled with motivation. He saw the clash earlier, saw the destruction of his hometown. If he is to protect Naruto, the one who named him, he need more power, he need to grow and learn to use his power. br /br /"I humbly accept, Lord Souei." Souei /br /"Then you are our latest operative. You will be Lord Naruto's personal guard. You will come to me for training once we reach Tempest."br /br /And just like that, Souei and his team disappeared in flickers of shadows. Sasuke was determined more than ever to learn those skills, to be more useful to Naruto. He wants to protect his first friend, the one last bond he had after everyone in his village was /br /After Souei and the others left, Sasuke, Milim and Naruto were left alone. br /br /Sasuke gave a small yelped as Naruto carried him on his /br /"It will be faster this way. We're going home." Naruto grinned. He and Milim quickly disappeared in flashes of yellow and /br /-o-o-o-br /br /Sasuke couldn't believe this speed, the world just seemed to disappear around him. Gone was his destroyed village. They are now on approach to the jewel of Jura Forest, the fabled Rimuru city that many demons and monsters talk about, could only dream of visiting. br /br /Just as the legends say, it was as glorious, a stuff of dreams. On a hill overlooking the city is a grand and imposing /br /"Beautiful isn't it? The grandest castle in the western realm." Milim spoke. "Rimuru likes to spoil my uncle and went all out. Naru-chan live there. I'm a little envious."br /br /"Aww don't say that Milim-neesama. I'm sure Aunt Frey's castle is more beautiful. Her castle's in the sky! Plus Eurazania is a wonderland! And you own everything in it."br /br /"Heh, I guess you're right. But let's make a stop to the guild hall, alright? Rimuru should be waiting now." br /br /Sasuke watched the interaction with interest, he can't fathom these two powerful beings talking about such mundane topics. Yet here he is, named by and in the service of a demon lord's cousin. He doesn't know whether to count that as lucky or something…. ominous. br /br /They made their way through the opulent streets of Rimuru city. It was bathed in magicules at every turn, very different from even a prosperous nation like Eurazania. He could feel its secure /br /"This is Veldora and Rimuru's blessings. Any being who enters the city will feel welcomed, rested and healed. Truly a stuff a wonders isn't it?" Milim explained proudly. "No other city is quite like it. I love visiting here." Sasuke agreed with her /br /There's something tranquil and yet fierce about the city. Like it's a safe space but a dangerous place at the same time. There's an oppressive aura that protects the city, but also a kind and welcoming one that invites one to rest and lie down. He heard tales of the legendary storm dragon. The oppressive aura must have been from Veldora, the great Storm Dragon who protected this forest for /br /His aura has indeed done wonders in keeping the city safe from stray monsters. Sasuke wished they had this protection. Maybe then his village wouldn't be reduced to rubble. As they progressed into the city, he saw fields of green where food was being cultivated, dragonewts patrol the skies and tended to the fields. br /br /The hobgoblins played and train with tempest wolves. There were even some human children playing and laughing with orcs and goblins, as they fired water guns at each other. It was surreal to see and experience. The more they went into the middle of the city, the more dense it came. Sasuke was briefly reminded of Dwargo and Engrassia. Towering buildings hugged the streets. More concrete and glass made their appearance. But the magicules remain. The feeling of power and magic hung heavily in the /br /They stopped in front of a tall building where a group of Hobgoblins greeted /br /"Young master, Lord Rimuru is waiting for you at Lord Veldora's castle. He said to sign off your mission quickly."br /br /"Ahh thanks for the message Brother Gobta. I'll come home right away after this." Naruto couldn't control his excitement. Papa Riri is waiting for him. It's been quite a while since he bonded with his alpha father. br /br /He turned in his report at the receptionist and he, Sasuke and Milim made their way for the /br /-o-o-o-br /br /The castle is beautiful up close. Way beautiful than anything Sasuke has ever seen before. Gardens and fountains decorated the entrance. But there's also strong towering walls for protection. Black demons patrol the walls. And through Veldora's and Rimuru's strong auras, there's also another stronger presence /br /One that is now standing before them. A butler? He was smiling and gave them a small bow. This butler is dangerous. Every instinct in Sasuke was screaming at him. The aura is oppressive, perhaps even more than Milim, more primal and more /br /"Lady Milim, Young master, dinner is prepped for your return. Young Master Naru, do you want to take a bath first?"br /br /"It's okay, Big bro Diablo. I want to see Papa and Daddy now!"br /br /"Of course, sir. Congratulations on your first mission by the way. Lord Rimuru has prepared a nice feast for your return. Ah this makes me feel so nostalgic. I still remember when I held you in my palm as a hatchling like it was yesterday."br /br /Blush colored Naruto's face, which Sasuke finds /br /"Cut it out Big Bro Diablo. I'm not a kid anymore!"br /br /"Oh but you still are. This way sir." Diablo eyed Sasuke. "You have a companion sir? A Kijin. Interesting."br /br /"Yes, he was the only survivor of the Oni Village. This is Sasuke. My new best friend." Sasuke felt his heart soared at that declaration. He doesn't know why but he felt an undeniable connection to Naruto. And every time their connection is acknowledge it tugs at his /br /"Oi, Diablo. Didn't I tell you you don't have to come here every time you make a report?"br /br /"Of course sir. But I want to. The subjugation of Falmuth is nearly complete. Youm and the others should be making preparations to formally establish ties with our Federation soon."br /br /"Yeah yeah let's talk business later. Now where's my little dragon?" Rimuru said and outstretched his /br /"Papa Riri!' Naruto jumped into Rimuru's arms and buried his face in the alpha's chest, inhaling his father's scent. Rimuru rubbed his cheeks, reinforcing his scent upon his son. br /br /"Welcome home Naru-chan. Your Daddy is waiting inside. Oh and Milim, thank you for not interfering in his mission." Rimuru shot a grateful look to /br /"Of course, I did good right, Rimuru? I always follow through with my words. Wahahaha. Now let's eat. I'm starving!"br /br /"Yeah let's." Diablo opened the giant doors and led them inside. Naruto wasted no time in running to his omega father, Veldora, who scented him with his neck. br /br /"So you named your first lackey, eh?" Veldora eyed Sasuke playfully. "You chose well little dragon, Hahaha. Oi young Kijin, you better care for my little dragon with your very life. No one betrays the Tempest family and gets away with it unharmed. Mountains will crumble with a flick of my fingers! Remember it well, Kijin!" Sasuke shivered as Veldora released a bit of his /br /"He's not my lackey, dad. He's a friend. This is Sasuke, the only survivor from the Oni Village."br /br /"Nice to meet you, my lords. I'll be in your care. Naruto saved my life. I wouldn't dream of betraying him or you." Sasuke respectfully bowed as Diablo ushered him to his seat and the demons in black started serving their meals. Sasuke could feel that despite the grandness and luxury of the hall, there is warmth inside this place- a rarity in their world. The dining hall is clearly a place of fun and moments of happiness and acceptance. Even the alpha who sat beside his omega has an aura of rest and welcome, one that settled his unease despite the tragedy that befell his /br /"We'll see." Veldora said as he sat Naruto on his lap, feeding his hatchling ramen, who moaned in delight at the /br /Sasuke can't help but think the sight was cute and… something else he can't point. The face of Naruto red with happiness as he eat from his father's hand stirred something in his loins, and his soul that's utterly foreign and unfamiliar to him. Foreign yet deliciously welcomed feelings. He can't help but stare only to be stopped by a burst of aura by his /br /He felt Milim's hand tapped a little more forcefully on his /br /"You will not have impure thoughts on my cousin, Kijin. I will crush you." Sasuke gulped as the demon lord whispered to him with a /br /Still, Sasuke was quickly accepted into their little family, and Veldora and Rimuru joked with him. He may have lost his village but this day Sasuke felt he has gained a new family and a new purpose in /br /-o-o-o-br /br /A/N: Another update done. What do you think?
