"Wait...what!?" Kushina said shocked as she was actually trying to process what she had just heard from Mito.
"Also are you really THE Mito Uzumaki," she asked.
"Huh...how would someone like you know about here. Given where you are from after all even if there been a connection with our villages for a long time now" Minato then wondered
"Of course, I would know about the legendary Mito Uzumaki. What kind of Uzumaki would I be if I did not know about the member of our clan that married into the Senju clan? Would later become the wife of one of the first Kages" she said.
"You did not know which one" Mito asked
"Huh? Why is where I grew up the only thing we were taught was that Mito Uzumaki was the wife and great help to one of the original Kages? A proud member of our clan that symbolized the close tie the Uzumaki and Senju clans for ages" a young Uzumaki girl stated.
"So why was the Land of Whirpool destroyed though," Logan asked interested in this more than why he was not also asked to leave.
"Those that saw them as a threat were keeping tabs on them while Konoha was doing so because of my and my late husband's connection to them" Mito started "However because the Senju clan is not as big as once was within the village itself, we could not offer assistance not even warn them. That was not something current Hokage could do"
"We were supposed to be allies though," Kushina said
"The Senju and Uzumaki clans were allies. Konoha and Uzushiogakure not so much. I learned a bit about the influence the Uzumaki clan and the Uzushiogakure had on Konoha. It's most likely that choice not to help and/or aid them came from us having to worry about the other clans that Konoha is made of and how it would affect the Land of Fire as well" Minato stated.
Kushina then looked to Logan, who then mere sighed.
"He has a point. Your village was allied with two clans that do not seem to have that many members anymore. They seem to retain their status here through legacy rather than numbers" he told her.
"Moving on the Land of Whirlpool has turned on those who have anything unique and varied from the normal," Mito told them "It's unknown who exactly started it but it was stated that those with this unique and/or varied abilities would play a role in the destruction of the Land of Whirlpool"
"I recall sensei once telling me he caught someone trying to do the same in Kohona once," Minato said
"True as it seems they are someone claiming they can help area avoid a certain fate but they were giving visions of the future that self-fulling however," Mito said with a sigh.
Kushina then looked confused at this.
Logan seemed to get what was going on kind of as that is why he warned Kushina never to allow anyone to see how she was able to alter her ability to use her clan's chakra chains she could.
Being a mutant Logan was all aware of what the stares and looks Kushina were getting when she almost slipped up and ousted her new ability that one time though he managed to stop her in time.
Logan himself was getting those looks but he managed to play off his mutant ability as bloodline limit thus accepting it for the moment. Though they turned on him too once Kushina's unique ability was revealed.
Logan himself was not sure what Kushina had or why changed all of sudden. After all, he was not even sure if mutants even existed in where ever he was currently. For all, he knew he was the only mutant here but that was not something he could confirm or not just yet.
He just knew at the moment there were things called bloodline limits in this world and then there were things that Kushina had developed, and whatever that person that controlled her and other minds did.
"Let me then guess while the Land of Whirlpool was trying to wipe those with abilities that were considered abnormal or varied too much from the norm. They were attacked from the outside. Taken out easily because they were too busy fighting themselves to defend against an outside force" Logan asked.
"It's as you said their enemies were waiting for the moment they let their guard down and struck at that time. Those like Kushina and yourself were not the threat but attacking those like yourself is what left them vulnerable enough to be wiped out" Mito said.
"The Land of Whirlpool is not that weak that would fall so easily though," Kushina said not wanting to accept her homeland would fall so quickly.
"Normally that would be the case even if the ties between Land of Fire and Land of Whirlpool were never as close as Konoha and Uzushiogakure once were. They were ganged up on by all the surrounding nations and two of the five great ninja villages at once.
The Uzushiogakure were renowned for their fūinjutsu and with it also known as The Village of Longevity. Those two things worked against us this time as we were seen as a danger because of our sealing techniques and an asset because of how long we can live" Mito said.
"Minato" she called to him
He then went to full attention to listen to what she was about to tell him.
"Kushina will be added to your group to replace the two that are no longer there with you anymore," she told him
Both Kushina and Minato look at her and then at each other with a shocked expressions on their faces.
"That's all as she going to be your teammate I wanted you to be aware of her scenario as there will be more added later on you will be informed of that too" Mito then said
Minato then left the room leaving just Mito, Kushina, and Logan there for the moment.
Mito then performed a justu that closed off the area so that the only ones that would know what happened here would be the three within this room.
"Now Logan I have a feeling you might be able to shed some light on something I have been curious about my whole life as seems that I was lucky to live long enough to meet someone like you before my time came," Mito told him.
"Wait you do not mean" he then said.
"Do not panic over what I am about to do as this would be for the best of Kushina going forward too" Mito told him.
"What would be the best for..." Kushina then said before seemingly frozen in place with her eyes going vacant like that one time from before.
"Seem she developed a much better ability to defend against something like this naturally than before it seems," Mito said rather shocked.
Logan waved his hand in front of Kushina's face as she stood there motionless not moving a muscle.
"There is a legend about the origin of charka in this world do you know of it," Mito asked him
"Bit and pieces of it" Logan replied as he was busier in the present and taking care of Kushina to worry about something that was far in the past of world.
"It's one that most do not accept even more so than the legend of ten tailed beast and the Sage of Six Paths," she told him
Logan was sure that Mito was telling the truth about her wanting to help Kushina as she even informed him not to panic before whatever Mito did to her.
"What does the word mutant mean to you, Logan" Mito asked him
