Chapter 2: The Attack

(A few Hours ago in the root base)

Danzo was inside his laboratory preparing a new range of toxins and medicines while an Anbu was reading him a detailed report of the recent events reported by spies in othe villages and the development of root shinobis. They had reached an impressive strength of 100 skilled A grade Anbus and more in training, this was a very essential part of the ninja division in the village which operated operations in the dark. Danzo was an old man, a war head hailed as the Darkness of a shinobi though his reputation was greatly diminished in the village and in the Bingo book, among the new ninjas in the leaf however his actions greatly affected the leaf, he commanded over one of the strongest divisions of Anbu which had a variety of ninjas with vast skills, some of them were even given enhanced strengths with medicines. He labelled himself as the protector of leaf and did attrocious actions in the name of it. He had killed Uchiha Shishui and implanted his right eye, he also was preparing Shodaime Hokage's cells for gaining wood release, he had great ambitions of becoming the Hokage and to be able to control the nine tails with the power of Sharingan and the Wood release. He even ordered the slaughter of the Uchiha clan for gaining more Sharingans for the use of a forbidden technique, the izanagi. A justsu which could blend illusion and reality with the sacrifice of the Sharingan, he could re-write reality. He knew for completing his ambitions he had to gain power and to do that he was ready to do anything.

After hearing the updates, he went to go back for training his young root ninjas, right then he heard something. He was in a hallway which was underground nearly 40 feet below the surface, only comprising of root ninjas. This was the most secured place in the entire leaf, yet he could hear something unknown, it was a threat just then a masked ninja came running with a chopped hand and a kunai stuck in his neck bleeding, he came near Danzo and fell down and spoke,"2 masked ninja attack... wood.. death..", he slurped blood and died Danzo then saw a leakage above him and saw blood ozzing out of it he rushed towards the attack, as soon as he arrived, he saw a man slaughter with a guy using wood release and a clone of him using Boil release in a very skilfull combination. His wood style was far more potent, organised and powerful than a ninja he had trained. Soon when he arrived his partner attacked him head on with a earth release technique that could harden hands. He then used a technique by which he puked a weird black substance and released 5 masks all of them simultaneously performed 5 different techniques. Katon:Hellfire release Futon:Great breakthrough Raiton:False Darkness Suiton:Great water pump Doton:Earth griller. He saw that he was covered in a closed wall and all the jutsus which were of A ranked coming towards him. A group of his ninjas immediately came to his help and for their deaths. He escaped and attacked them with his futoon blade however their attacks were perfectly synced, his partner attacked Danzo using wood release, right then, he punched Danzo in his gut with enhanced power by Earth release(Doton:Iron hands), he then smashed Danzo's head in the wall, right then his partner used Boiled release: Extreme Cuncushion. This was an S ranked jutsu releasing an extremly dangerous poison in the Air along with an air Acid which was melting down anything it was touching. He used his wood style and captured Danzo who was injected with a very strong poison. Danzo hurridely tried to gain back in his normal consious state and used Futton:Great Breakthrough to escape. His entire base was covered in blood and dead shinobis, all ninjas in this base were dead,he already was poisoned and could feel his chakra drain, he was devising a plan for his escape, however he was surrounded, he knew it was best to face them and escape at any opening. So he attacked them again. Both of them attacked him and used a combination jutsu of Boil release:Extreme Acid Wood release:Cover of Forest Suiton:Great Water Dragon Raiton:Fakse Darkness. This was a special S ranked technique of a Large sacle each jutsu complimented each other and multiplied each other's powers, the forest covered removed any chance of his escape as well as the potent wood release helped in the acid last longer and the water jutsu incresed the power of attack of the previous Boil release and the lightning technique made the water even more dangerous. This jutsu was very quick and Danzo faced it head on, he escaped in a damaged state with burns on all of his body dude to boil release and he could feel the after affects of the poison and lightning techniques. He was out of chakra due to the previous acid attack and this combo drained him. Then he saw the masked shinobi nearing him, he held him by his neck and lifted him. He then gave 8 hard punches on his gut and then smashed him on the floor, Danzo spat blood after clinging to Earth, he then lifted him and dug his hand in his right eye plucking out the hidden Sharingan, he dipped it in a jar and threw Danzo away like a rag. He then summoned his slug and along with his partner disappeared i na poof.

Danzo was barely clinging to his life, he faced a lot of damage where one of his bases was completly destroyed and many of his scientists and root ninjas were killed moreover he lost Shishui's sharingan. Although he could recover back most of his lost assets today, Shishui's Sharingan was one of his secrets for future and losing it was a huge blow on him. His mind was wandering around many thoughts, "Who were those masked Ninjas? Where did they got the knowledge of the root base? Did they knew the power of Sharingan they stole? How would he deal with them in future?

Later when Danzo gained his consciousness he saw his teammate, rival and the hokage of the Leaf staring at him with pity eyes. "Danzo my dear friend, are you feeling alright now ?", Danzo gave a slight nod at this, he quickly told Hiruzen about the attackers and Hiruzen was surprised. "First an attack on the anbus of leaf, stoling our ancient relic and then attack on one of our Anbu divisons and on Danzo. Someone has planned well through all of this, who is he and what does he want"These were the thoughts going through his head.

He went to his office and started to think about it. While he was thinking about it, he saw rookie 7 entered in comprisiong of Hatake Kakashi, their sensei, Uzumaki Naruto, Haruno Sakura and Uchiha Sasuke. "Hey Old Gezzer we demand a C rank mission, for such an awesome ninja as me these household chores are meaningless ".Hiruzen still remained surprised about Naruto even after his lonely past and being the container of nine tails and after he dealt with a lot of hardships he remained the same as always. Beside him stood Uchiha Sasuke, the last member of the Uchiha clan, he felt bad about the child however he hoped the child could get a better future."Hmmm.. Why don't I give you an easy mission of D rank Naruto after all with a little bit more experience, you will be even more stronger " he said then handed over Kakashi a scroll while Naruto was ranting about old gezzers and of being hokage, Sakura was trying to stop him and Sasuke stood emotionlessly.
