The group all gasped with excitement as they saw the town of Tombstone. "Wyatt, it's so busy and alive!" His sister said in awe, she had never seen anything like it. "I know, you can practically smell the silver!" They ride deeper into town and Wyatt gets the women in the group's attention and points to the Grand Hotel. Bugsy just couldn't wait to explore, barely giving Morgan time to help her down as she leaped off the carriage, getting caught on her dress again and stumbling with a curse. "Hold on now Bug, you'll be able to explore soon, we don't want you wandering off without us." She grumbled under her breath. "Babygirl, you look too pretty and tempting right now to walk in a town you don't know nothing about." Virgil and Allie fret over her and she huffs fondly at them. She didn't understand how putting a dress on changed her looks completely, it was never something she cared about. She looked in the reflection of a storefront and saw a girl with more curves than most wanted hiding behind a light purple gown and brown curls in an updo done by Louise. "Allie, I don't think I'm someone that will attract a herd of men, my way." She complains and Allie sighs and presses a hand to her face, "Dear, you are much prettier than you give yourself credit for." She gives her a loving pat and moves to help the woman unload their things.
She sighs as she moves to help but runs into a man abruptly. "Oh I'm sorry!" She says softly and backs away as the man interrupts, "No ma'am, I should be the one apologizing, running into such a lovely creature." Bugs couldn't help the blush that bloomed on her face but she was more amused by the way he dressed, so fancy and uppity. Wyatt pulled her away from said many and gave him a hard stare. "Newcomers, eh? Names John Behan, I'm Cochise County Sheriff. Just Hit town?" He asks her brother but turns to stare at her once more. "Just this minute. I'm Wyatt Earp, These're my brothers.." The man, Behan, interrupted him, "Wyatt Earp…Dodge City, right?" The tone that Behan used made Bugs hackles rise and she grimaced when he moved back towards her, "And you are ma'am" This time he is interrupted by her brother. "Dorothy Earp is her name and gave all that up. Going into business." Bugs didn't even argue against the use of her given name, this man made her skin crawl.
They continue to talk as Bugs slowly walks away and eyes all the saloons and stores and the movement of people. Her eyes zone in on the men with their pistols in belts along their waists and thighs and sighs in envy. She really wished she could have her trousers and pistols with her now. They were packed away and buried deep in her trunk, her brother wanting her to start looking like a lady and getting used to the idea of marriage, she grumbled at that, she was only 24. An old maid to the eyes of others but she felt young and wanted to live her life free to do what she pleased. She smiled when she saw the cart of women protesting for Women's rights. She never was a protester but she was happy to see others fighting for what she wanted eventually. "Bugsy, we about to have a look around, you coming?" Morgan called, she glanced at the women in their family and though she enjoyed most of their company, she wanted to go exploring with her brothers. "Yes! I'm coming!" She exclaims as the excitement gets to her.
She's entranced with the sights around her, she's ahead of her brothers but they don't mind as long as she stays in sight. She surprisingly sees many men who are captivated by her and she can't help but blush as they greet her or tip their hats at her. "You alone, honey?" A woman dressed in a provocative dress calls and she smiles politely at the small group of women all leaning against the balcony outside of a saloon."Oh no, my brothers are here with me." She responds and her hackles rise as they all surround her and tug at her hair and dress, though they weren't being mean about it. "Shame, you'd make quite a bit with those curves and young face of yours, darling." One states as they give her rump a tap, she startles but laughs. "Well, I know who to come to for a job if it ever comes to that." She gives them a wink as they all cackle and wave goodbye. "Bugsy, get over here." Virgil shouts and she rolls her eyes but makes her way over.
"What you doing talking to them and letting them grope you like that girl, you got any sense? Giving men the wrong idea." He scolds and swats the back of her head. "Last time I checked Virgil, you ain't my daddy and they were nice enough." She snaps back and he grumbles but Wyatt intervenes. "Got us a job, Bugs. May have you help clean up in the saloon sometimes, earn some money." She sighs but nods in agreement, having heard the ruckus he got into. Her eyes widen as a man walks towards them with a shotgun. "Who did you manage to piss off already, Wy?" She asks in amusement despite the danger. "What?" He is interrupted by a voice she'd no anywhere, it pains her to say it sent a shiver down her spine. "Why, Johnny Tyler! You madcap!" The man with the shotgun turned in shock and a little fear. "Doc?" His voice trembled and she smirked. "Where you goin' with that shotgun?" He rumbled out and she felt her heartbeat fasten. "I didn't know you was back in town." The man, Johnny says shakily. He's ignored as Wyatt tsks. "Well, Well." He takes a drag of his cigar. "How the hell are you?" He grins and Doc smirks, "Wyatt, I am rolling." She rolled her eyes, Doc always was too smooth for his own good, she watched as he made his way down the group shaking her brother's hands. Finally, his gaze turned to her and he gave a hum in the back of his throat, she already saw her brothers looking at them in amusement.
"Now who is this exquisite creature in front of me, I know it's not my Bug." Her face turned red, in anger, not bashfulness, she tried to convince herself, but his eyes lit up at the reaction. "I'm not your anything, Doc Holliday, you best remember it." She hissed and her brothers laughed as Doc stepped closer. "Now, we both know that just ain't true, Darlin'" He gave her a once over and smirked at her then looked at her brothers. "I'm sorry to say boys, but I'm going to be marrying your sister." Though he teased they could see the seriousness in his eyes and they all gave each other knowing looks. "Don't be telling them that nonsense Doc, I ain't never gonna agree to that, you'd sooner fall over dead." She snapped and poked him in the chest and he grabbed her hand firmly yet gently and kissed it. "Maybe sooner than you think, Bugsy." Her eyes widened and she felt herself lean into him to study his face better, his eyes had a red rim around them and he was pale and sweaty. "Doc.." She whispers bringing her hand to his face and feeling it, he was burning up, he put his hand over hers and leaned into it and her heart raced. "Earp?" the trembling man utters and the daydream is ruined as she tears herself away from him, he continues to stare at her intensely as he begins talking. "Oh, I forgot you was there, you may go now." He tells the man as he moves his eyes away from her. She glances at her brothers and sees them looking at her, eyebrows raised. Shit, she's in love with Doc Holliday.
