CONSIDERING MY STORY IS A LITTLE DIFFERENT FROM THE BOOKS/MOVIES. I JUST WANTED TO GIVE YOU GUYS AN IDEA OF HOW I ENVISION THE BELLA IN MY STORY. THINK KAI FROM GREY'S ANATOMY SEASON 50 MILLION (19). ONLY BELLA HAS DARK BROWN HAIR AND A LITTLE LONGER THAN KAI'S. EVERYONE ELSE, STILL THE SAME. THIS CHAPTER IS A LITTLE SHORTER BUT DONT WORRY, MORE TO COME.
*POV BELLA*
Alice: I don't know. It was just a mumble.
I wonder if she's lying and when she doesn't smile, I sigh in relief. I don't want her knowing it was her I was dreaming about. At least not yet. She hops up when I finish eating and says she'll see me at school. I hope it's not another day of her ignoring me because of Jasper. I watch her run off before heading upstairs to get my stuff. I truly did not expect her to come over last night. Or even stay for that matter. But glad she did. There's no nightmares when she's around and I'm thankful for that. I grab my jacket because it looks like it's going to rain today. While it doesn't bother me, it'll look weird if I'm just walking around like nothing. I send Jess a text that I'm on my way. I quickly spray myself with Alice's cologne. Maybe she'll talk to me when she smells it. When Jess comes out, she has a batch of cookies that she hands over to me.
Bella: you ARE trying to make me fat huh?
Her laughter fills the car, and she just shakes her head at me.
Jess: no, I just like baking. But hey if you gain a pound or two its ok, I'm sure Alice will still like you. You smell good today.
Bella: hopefully Alice thinks so too. Wait are you saying I don't smell good any other day?
Jess: you can be a little stinky sometimes. *We both laugh* I'm kidding.
I grab a cookie and drive us to school. She hits shuffle on my music and it's a chill ride to school. When we pull into the parking lot, I don't see Alice's car. My wolf whines but I'm sure she's just running late.
Bella: come on, let's get to class.
When we get to class, Rosalie is sitting with the biggest smile on her face. Great, Edward told her already. I take my sit and just wait.
Bella: good morning princess.
Rosalie: why good morning, sexy. You smell very good today.
Bella: put the fangs back ma'am.
Rosalie: ha ha funny. You might like them though.
Not even 5 seconds later she slides me a note. Before I read it, I look at her confused. She snatches it back.
Rosalie: Edward told me. I think you and Jess came up with a great plan, but I think I can help more…. Alice can hear us.
Bella: ahhh. I figured he would. He also said you kind of already knew.
Rosalie: Yes, the moment I saw you walk into class. I was the second person to see her drawing of you when she first came to us. You looked a little different but still you.
Bella: different how?
Rosalie: you had brown eyes. Less tone but still very sexy.
Bella: my eyes and body changed when I phased.
Rosalie: gotcha. Ok so you want to know my plan?
Bella: sure.
Rosalie: I think it'll get to her more if I flirt with you.
Bella: I don't want problems with Emmett. I like him. He's the big brother I never had.
Rosalie: Emmett knows too. And Esme.
Bella: Do any of you know how to keep a secret?
Rosalie: no one knows we're vampires.
Bella: ha ha. A whole pack and my dad know you're vampires. But I'll think about it.
She balls up the paper and tells me to focus on the work. The rest of class is chill. After 2nd period, I see Alice in the hall. But she's with Jasper. When she sees me, she smiles but doesn't come over. My wolf whines again but I just give her a nod and head to class. Edward doesn't speak much besides a hey. When class ends, he ask if I'm sitting with them or Jess. It feels like it's another day of Alice ignoring me for Jasper so I just smile and say Jess. I rather not deal with Jasper. Angela and Eric join us for lunch. And I have to use all my power to not look over at the Cullens' table. Unknowingly my head tilts a little every time I hear Alice's voice. I focus hard on the conversation in front of me. It helps when Jess puts her hand on mine. I think she notices my losing fight. At one point Angela suggest a double date and Jess looks at me for me to answer. I tell them I'm down and suggest this weekend. On my way to 4th period, Alice & Jasper are at the door talking. I see Alice's eyes get dark and in the same second back to their regular color. Jasper notices also but doesn't say anything. At least not in front of me. I take my seat next to Edward and put on my music. When Alice comes in she has the biggest smile on her face. She says hey but I just wave at her and keep my AirPods in.
Alice: since you don't want to talk. Just wanted to say you smell nice.
Bella: so, I've been told. But thank you.
I throw her words back at her. She looks at me irritated. I know it's not fair. We got over that. But her ignoring me all day when he's around hurts just the same if not more. Though a part of me regrets saying it, it's not a lie. Jess and Rosalie, both said it. anything to find reason in my comment.
Alice: did I do something?
Bella: idk did you?
She doesn't reply, she just balls up the paper and opens her book. I catch her looking at me a couple of times. Most times she looks irritated. A couple times she smiles at me. I just give her the nod and continue reading. When class ends, I want to offer to walk her but I spot Jasper at the door. I walk out and go to meet Jess at the locker. She notices my mood and ask if I'm ok. I mention the annoyance of seeing Jasper around. She gives me a sympathetic look. Grabs my hand and pulls me to the parking lot. When we get to my car, she pushes me lightly against the hood. And stands in front of me, leaning into me once more. I take it as my que to wrap my arms around her. We see Angela and Eric coming out and Jess quickly calls them over. I spot Alice and Jasper coming out by the gym. I pull Jess closer to me. My wolf growls at me and I mentally make the deal with him that it's to get Alice. I feel him relax and I tune back in to hear Angela make a comment that we're cute together. I pretend to put kisses on Jess' neck. As Alice gets closer, Jess turns around in my arms and kisses me. Full on kisses me. I fight the urge my wolf feels to push her off. Instead, I pull her closer and deepen the kiss. Jess puts her hand in my hair to keep me there. My wolf shows me Alice and I pull away. I hear Emmett yell out "yeah Bella!". I look over in time to see Rosalie smack him in the head and hear Alice's car door slam which causes me to cringe. Jess clears her throat and I look back at her.
Jess: uh can we go?
Bella: of course.
I open the door for her and we head to her house.
Jess: Bella, what was that?
Bella: what do you mean?
Jess: Kissing me like that might confuse things.
Bella: well, you kissed me first…. Ok you mean the deepening the kiss. I'm so sorry Jess. I got caught in the moment. For the record it was a really good kiss.
Jess: why thank you.
The ride was much like this morning. Chill with just the music playing. When we get to her house, I tell her I'll see her tomorrow and head down to the Res.
*POV ALICE*
All the students in the parking lot were able to catch Bella's and Jess' display of affection. I don't need Edward's gift to know that answers all the rumors on if they're together or not. When I see Bella kiss and pull Jess into her, I feel the anger bursting out of me. I tell Jasper I have to go and jump in my car pulling out the parking lot. He can ride home with the others. I see his confused and irritated look, but I have to get away. I drop my car off at the house and run to my beach.
Edward: just talk to Bella.
Rosalie: Bella's car parts come this weekend. I plan to ask her to come over if you want to hang out with her while I work on her car. Besides you promised to do the painting.
Jasper: care to explain?
I turn off my phone and I just stare off to the beach. I can't be having these feelings for her. She's my best friend and I'm with Jasper. He does deserve better. I have to give him better. I get the urge to look for Bella. Hoping she's home. After what feels like forever, I turn on my phone and see I have 10 miss calls from Jasper, I sigh and just text him that I'll be home soon if he wants to hang out. Send Rose a text letting her know that's fine, Bella still has to watch the second part of Gone With The Wind. And another text to Edward telling him I don't know what to even say to her. When I return home, Emmett and Jasper are playing video games. Rose is reading one of her car magazines. And Edward is at his piano. I debate sitting next to Jasper or playing with Edward. I get the feeling, given everything, I should sit next to Jasper. Edward gives me a disapproving look but quickly goes back to his piano. Jasper smiles as I sit down. Probably happy I don't smell like Bella. I see out the corner of my eye, Edward slightly nod letting me know I'm right. I decide that I'll spend some time with Jasper and go to Bella's later tonight. I see Edward smile and I focus on the video. After 5 minutes I'm bored, I rush upstairs to get one of my art books. When I sit back down, Jasper smiles at me and squeezes my knee before returning back to the game.
