Gradually awakening to the sounds coming from the living room, she extended her hand to brush a strand of hair away from her face and tensed up upon noticing that her wrists weren't handcuffed to the bed.
The brunette proceeded to sit up slowly on the bed, wincing at the pain shooting up her legs, then taking a deep breath before standing up and pulling on her jeans before leaving the room.
"Are you awake, Detective Lindsay?" Yates inquired as Erin entered the living room to find him seated on the couch watching TV. Despite Yates' question, the brunette paid him no attention, her hazel eyes fixated on the television screen.
Erin's throat tightened as she caught sight of her photo on the screen and listened to the news reporter announce, "Last night, Detective Erin Lindsay was kidnapped by a man claiming to be a doctor," while displaying a photo of Yates.
"Little is known about the location where he took the young detective, but the Chicago PD and the Intelligence suspect that Yates is removing her from Chicago," the reporter responded. "If anyone sees this vehicle, please contact the police department immediately," the woman added before Yates turned off the TV.
Erin couldn't help but feel relieved knowing that Voight and the rest of the team were making efforts to find her, despite her discomfort with being in the news.
"They will search tirelessly for us," Yates remarked as he rose from the couch and approached the brunette standing by the door frame. "We should depart, Detective, as we will soon arrive in New York," Yates announced, causing Erin's eyes to widen.
She was uncertain about revealing their destination, but she chose not to voice her concerns to Yates. Once they reached New York, Erin saw an opportunity to escape and find her way to the Special Victims Unit for assistance; she was confident that Amenda Rollins would aid her.
Yates uttered solemnly as he observed Erin with a smile, "You require a makeover, albeit a minor one." Approaching her and trapping her against the wall, he attempted to caress her cheek, prompting Erin to turn her head, resulting in a forceful slap across her face. "You must not avert your gaze from me, Detective," he whispered into her ear.
Feeling the stinging sensation on her cheek, the brunette winced as Yates forcefully guided her back to the bedroom. "Proceed to take a shower, and I shall prepare the appropriate attire for you," he instructed, pushing her into the bathroom.
As Erin clutched the sink to prevent herself from falling onto the tiled floor, she winced from the discomfort caused by her stitches.
"You have ten minutes to freshen up," Yates declared while closing the door, adding, "Failure to adhere to the time limit will result in punishment." He issued the warning before walking away.
Taking a deep breath, the detective began to disrobe, feeling a bit lightheaded from the fading effects of the drugs. Her legs ached, and her stomach was uncomfortable.
With a sigh, Erin removed her shirt, wincing as she unclasped her bra and surveyed the injury on her stomach. Despite her rumbling stomach, she gingerly touched the swollen area where she had been stabbed, quickly shedding her pants to step into the shower.
As she showered, Erin contemplated her escape plan for when they arrived in New York, bracing herself as the water cascaded over her weary body.
Lost in thought, her mind drifted to Antonio, causing a blush to tint her cheeks before she pushed the thought aside. "I know Antonio, Voight, and the others are searching for me," she murmured.
Once Erin had completed her shower, she took an additional five minutes inside to remove the feeling of his hands from her body, before wrapping a towel around her small frame. Upon exiting the bathroom, she encountered Yates standing beside the bed with his arms crossed.
"That took fifteen minutes," Yates stated, observing Erin, who seemed not to hear him. "I instructed you to take ten minutes," he reiterated. Ignoring Yates' comment, Erin proceeded to dry herself off, glancing up at the black dress laid out on the bed, causing her to almost feel nauseous. She began to voice her refusal to wear the dress, but before she could, Yates forcefully pulled her onto the bed and pinned her down, growling, "Don't ignore me," and striking her in the stomach.
As she clenched her teeth in pain from his blow to her swollen side, Yates warned, "Now you will face a punishment ten times worse than what I had planned for you," before pinning her arms above her head and proceeding to remove his pants and boxers.
Erin attempted to resist Yates as he forcefully penetrated her. Before she could speak, Yates interrupted her by covering her mouth and nose with his hand.
"This is the consequence of your disobedience, Detective Lindsay. I had intended to repeat this in New York, as I am operating on a strict timetable," Yates said with a sneer as he thrust forcefully and swiftly inside the Detective, prompting Erin to cry out from the rapid movements.
Despite Erin's efforts to push Yates away, her cries intensified as his thrusts became more aggressive. Yates, releasing her arms, seized Erin's breasts.
Moaning with pleasure, Yates continued to move in and out of Erin, relishing her cries and attempts to resist. "You can try to push me away, Detective, but the more you resist, the more I will intensify," Yates groaned between thrusts.
Erin winced as Yates extracted himself, his heavy breathing filling the room. 'Now, please dress quickly so we can depart, or must I insist?' he inquired firmly, disengaging from her with a rough kiss on her lips.
The brunette shook her head and stammered, 'I... I can dress myself.' She rose slowly from the bed as Yates began rearranging his clothing.
Taking hold of her chin, Yates commanded, 'Good, now be prompt!' as he patted her cheek before leaving to start the car.
Alone in the room, Erin swiftly donned the dress, suppressing a yelp as the stitches in her stomach strained. 'I'll find a way out of this situation once we reach New York,' she resolved. Completing her attire with boots, she joined Yates outside. 'Excellent. Now, enter the vehicle and refrain from any mischief,' he warned.
