"Could you help me put this on?" Sophie asked, looking embarrassed. She sat at the foot of their bed, holding out her favorite nightgown. She'd made it out of an old tablecloth she bought at the thrift store in Lebanon. It had little snails printed all over. While she'd picked up Dean's penchant for work shirts and flannels when she started hunting with them again a few years back, Sophie still wore a dress or skirt every day. And since they moved into the bunker and she dug a sewing machine out of some long-forgotten closet, tablecloths, bedsheets, and curtains had become cornerstones of her wardrobe. Solids and stripes got made into skirts, with the whimsical patterns typically reserved for nightwear. She was already wearing a pair of Dean's old sweats, the beginnings of her baby belly emphasized by how low they sat on her hips.

"You okay?" Dean asked, taking the garment and slipping it over her head.

Sophie had worn pajamas almost every night since they'd gotten together years ago. Dean made sure of it. He'd spent years after Hell sleeping in his clothes. Until they moved into the bunker really. But every night they slept under a real roof - heck half the nights they slept in the car or a burned out old house - he made sure she had a chance to change. She deserved that tiny modicum of normalcy.

"Yeah," Sophie winced a little, "But my shoulders are so sore from…everything…that I can't get my arms over my head and therefore I also can't get this on myself. I think the weird sleeping positions are part of it."

"I'm sticking to my guns on that one," Dean insisted, grabbing his own sweats, "If you're asleep I'm not moving you. Tight shoulders I can fix. A grand mal seizure I can't."

"Touche," Sophie replied.

"You gonna stay awake?" Dean asked as he pulled up their movie on his laptop then leaned back and tucked Sophie into his arms.

"Of course," Sophie sounded almost offended.

"You never stay awake," Dean countered.

"Because you or Sam always gets to pick and I fundamentally disagree with your taste," Sophie replied.

"So what is this we're watching?" Dean asked.

"It's called The Big Year and it came out last year and I've wanted to watch it…but since nobody ever asks me what I want to watch…"

"I get it," Dean cut her off, "And I am sorry about that. So what's it about?"

"Birds," Sophie replied.

"I thought you liked clouds not birds?" Dean asked.

"I do. But nerds are nerds," Sophie shrugged, "And Jack Black's in it so I thought you'd like that part."
