Snow White put on the red shoes and left the alleyway with Gem they spotted Merlin and Arthur but before Red Shoes could call out to them Gem spotted the guards behind the boys
"We need to find another way to leave" Gem said as they started running but Arthur spotted them "Gem, Red Shoes" Arthur said"that idiot" Gem muttered in irritation as the two bulky guards started chasing after them
Gem and Red Shoes were suddenly rescued by Merlin riding on the giant wooden bunny "when did you!" Merlin held Gem tightly as they got away from Golden Goose Avenue
Long ears dropped on it's back panting in exhaustion "Now we know how fast a bunny can hop in a pinch" Merlin joked as Gem rolled her eyes at him but smiled a bit
"Thank you for helping us Merlin" Red Shoes said as Gem added "I could have handled it" Merlin chuckled "oh I'm sure you would" Merlin said teasing Gem as she pouts
"By the way" Merlin said as he pulled out the wanted poster of Red Shoes "what is this?" Merlin said showing it to both Red Shoes and Gem who looked away
"Gosh it sounds silly, but it's my shoes they're magic" Red Shoes said "I know they're fabulous but why are they after you?" Merlin said as Gem snorts in disdain at Merlin's cluelessness
"No, my shoes they're actually made of magic" Red Shoes said as Arthur cut in "Red Shoes are you a criminal" Arthur said holding up the wanted poster "No, of course not" Red Shoes said
"Oh I knew a girl this pretty couldn't possibly be a criminal" Arthur said which made Gem flinch 'pretty...when was the last time I was called pretty...only when I'm being compared to my sister Crystal' Gem thought to herself 2 more drops of ink fell from Gem
Merlin sensed the inner turmoil inside Gem and decided to say something "by the way I ran into your sister's Minx and Crystal they were worried about you so I told them you were currently staying at Risky Rock with us" Merlin said
Fortunately this seemed to calm Gem down instantly "oh...did they...I'm afraid I didn't see them at Golden Goose Avenue" Gem said "maybe next time" Merlin said as Gem hummed in agreement
"We should head back now, more guards could come at any minute" Red Shoes said Arthur said something about his muscles which Gem and Red Shoes both ignored
"This is going to make it so much harder to find my Dad" Red Shoes said as Merlin looked behind him in the flower field where long ears was playing in the flowers
"I have an idea" Merlin said as he started running through the flower field and made an exact replica of the picture that was on the missing poster "what do you think" Merlin said with some flower petals on him
"That is amazing, thank you" Red Shoes said hugging him then started walking away "you did good Merlin" Gem said with a chuckle "what no kiss" Merlin teased making Gem's ears redden and slowly walked over to him
Gem leaned her face in closer to Merlin making him blush close his eyes and pucker his lips waiting for a kiss only to feel Gem blow on his face "you didn't think it'd be that easy did ya" Gem teased
"Y.you" Merlin was baffled, utterly baffled as Gem chuckled 'oh she's going to regret teasing me I'll get her back somehow' Merlin said with a mischievous smirk on his face as he followed after them
As they were walking Red Shoes leaned in to whisper in Gem's ear "you like Merlin don't you" Red Shoes said as gem's face reddens with blush "what nonsense are you spouting" Gem tried to deny but her face was as red as a tomato
"Oh come on you must have a crush on Merlin...I've seen the way you glance at him secretly" Red Shoes said as she winked making Gem blush harder "stoooop" Gem said covering her face the boys wondered what the girl's were talking about
That night...
Gem had taken off her makeup and was going to get a glass of water only to find Merlin which made both of them jump in surprise "what are you doing not asleep" Gem said
"I should ask you the same thing" Merlin said only to be mesmerized by the natural beauty on her face without the makeup covering it up "I was getting water...why are you looking at me like that" Gem said looking away awkwardly
Then Merlin decided it was time for payback "Hm...I think you look more beautiful without the makeup" Merlin said only for Gem to hide her face and walk away "don't you want a glass of water" Merlin said with a chuckle as Gem swiped it from him before going to bed
The next day...
Merlin was picking carrots out from the garden in his human form he stood up and closed his eyes imagining Gem was in front of him leaning in for a kiss daydreaming
Before Merlin could react a wooden bucket full of carrots was thrown at him "ow hey" Merlin said now in his dwarf form "you sir are sabotaging my relationship with Red Shoes and Gem" Arthur said
"What relationship, Gem was my childhood friend first before I introduced her to you guys and what about Red Shoes" Merlin said "Red Shoes and I share a secret, I would tell you what it is but it's a secret" Arthur said dismissively
"While your busy keeping secrets I'm going to break my curse" Merlin said smugly "your nothing without your spells magic boy" Arthur said crossing his arms
"And your nothing without Excalibur" Merlin said only for a thought to dawn on him "Your not waiting for someone to pull it out for you, are you?" Merlin said
Arthur grabbed Merlin by the shoulders "how did you know" Arthur said "is it true" Merlin said before he could get an answer a rope net was thrown over them
