Gem was laying her head on Red Shoes lap as Hans was in the kitchen making some donuts and served it to the girls "mm so good you want some Gem" Red Shoes said
The girls had gotten quite close since discovering each other's secrets "no thanks I'm good I'm not feeling hungry right now" Gem said as she was trying to get some extra beauty sleep as she would say
"Behold carved by the finest jewelers out of all the jewelers I know, which is a lot" Jack said pulling out a diamond ring Gem snorts softly and shakes her head with an eye roll
"Yours in exchange for nothing...maybe a kiss" Jack said Gem heard this and looked at the boys suspiciously "what is up with you two" Gem said looking at them with narrowed eyes
"Testing one..two" a voice called out "Oh god" in annoyance Gem said hearing prince Average outside "attention, hideous dwarfs!" Average said as Jack scoffs
"Ugh it's that loser prince Average" Jack said "heard that, it's Avooraj" Prince Average said "oh please" Hans said with an eye roll "what a bore" Gem said
"Inside your amateurish attempt at a facade of a sham, of a travesty of a veneer of a castle...is a gorgeous wanted criminal" prince Average said "oh please I could probably eat this guy for breakfast" Gem said looking at her nails in disinterest
"I hereby command that you all exit the premises and surrender posthaste" prince Average said making Gem scoff "as if...such an idiot bet he was given everything with a silver spoon in his mouth" Gem said with an eye roll
"Fail to comply, and you will never see these two again" prince Average caught Merlin and Arthur this made Gem angry and she felt her eyebrow twitch in anger
"You have until 3...1...2...I lied charge" prince Average said as the men started to charge only for the door to open to reveal a dark haired girl with purple eyes
"What who are you" prince Average said "I'm your worst nightmare" Gem said making the knights and prince Average laugh "oh dear you make me laugh my dear...I'll take you as well as the gorgeous criminal with me to my birthday ball" prince Average said
"No" Gem said making Average glare "what did you say" Average said "did I stutter...you don't no the meaning of the word...I said No, now let Merlin and Arthur go and buzz off" Gem said
"No the only fate for these two are either release...or death" Average said not noticing the floating Canon behind Average and his troops "your a lot dumber than I thought you'd be" Gem said with a devious smirk on her face
"What nonsense" Average said not noticing that Merlin and Arthur were being untied by Minx and Ashlin while Everett was melting the Canon and Rias was tying up the soldiers
"Whatever this is pointless, charge" Average said only for no one to do so "what is going on back there I said charge are you all deaf" Average said only to get punched in the face by Crystal who looked beyond pissed off
"Get out of our sight" Crystal said with gritted teeth as prince Average and his troop of knights ran away while they were tied up "hah that's amusing to watch" Everett said
"thanks so much for the help you guys" Gem said only for Gem to get a dangerous look from Crystal who stomped towards her "why did you get lost in the forest do you know how worried we all were me especially what the hell were you thinking" Crystal said shaking Gem
Red Shoes walked out with the others cwho are they?" Red Shoes asked "those are Gem's sisters, the one currently scolding Gem is her twin sister Crystal" Merlin said "Your making me dizzy please stop" Gem said as Crystal sighed and hugged her
Later that night...
Gem and Merlin were laughing in the shed about what happened earlier "that was incredibly funny you should have seen the look on Average's face when your sister punched him" Merlin said
Merlin turned towards Gem only to find her not smiling but frowning instead "what's wrong" Merlin said "is that all you care about...looks" Gem said sounding sad
Merlin rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly "I'm...sorry...I didn't mean to make you feel uncomfortable...I should have known...to stop while I was ahead after I knew how self conscious you felt about your looks" Merlin said
Gem sensed no insincerity from Merlin and closed her eyes laying her head on his shoulder while he's in human form "w.what are you doing" Merlin said softly
Gem shushed Merlin "be a good makeshift pillow and let me get some beauty sleep" Gem said making Merlin chuckle and rub her head softly as she fell asleep before Merlin proceeded to carry her inside to go to bed
