Chapter 4: Never Trust a Snake
A flock of birds sit on a tree branch before the falcon that showed Frost Lloyd's Treehouse Fortress and the Destiny's Bounty cries out while it lands on that branch. The other birds flew away as soon as it did. Seems it was just doing nothing at first before it spoke. "Wake up, Frost. I know where you come from." Frost wakes up and hits his head on the bunk as he woke up from a dream. He gets out of bed and finds that he's the only one in the room. He walks over to the window and sees the falcon flying by, causing him to smile. Frost made his way to the bridge where Wu and Aqua are.
"The hunt starts early today." Frost said when saw them work.
"A watchful eye never sleeps." Wu told him when he looked up from a map.
"As long as Lloyd and the Serpentine roam freely, no one in Equestria is safe." Aqua said.
"Where are the others." Frost wondered.
"Training on the upper deck." Wu said. Frost made his way outside and to where the others are. He hears the falcon cry as he looks up and sees him on the top of the ships mast.
"You were in my dream, little friend." Frost told the falcon. "Last time I saw you, you led me to good fortune. What reason have you returned?" The falcon then flys off as Frost runs to the head of the ship to see him go. Frost couldn't help but sense something was wrong as a familiar shadow was shown on the deck and approached him. The shadow belongs to a pitch black stallion unicorn with red glowing eyes, his white rib cage shown on his chest, and wears a helmet with a bone in it. "Lord Garmadon." Frost quickly turned to face Garmadon. "But you were banished."
"Only to return for the weapons of Spinjitzu." Garmadon said before he pulled two swords. "Soon I will have the power to recreate Equestria in my own image!" He charged and swung his swords at Frost, only for him to flip over Garmadon as he took out his two shurikins before he landed. "Give me your Shurikens of Ice!"
"You'll have to take them from me! NINJA, GO!" Frost did Spinjitzu as he approached Garmadon. However, Garmadon stopped him by grabbing him by the throat before he threw him back at a few boxes on deck.
"So be it." Garmadon the cut a rope that hold up a large crate that was above Frost. Frost saw the crate fall and quickly closed his eyes to wait for the impact. But it never came as somepony in a sliver ninja gi lift the heavy crate before throwing it overboard. Frost opened his eyes and saw the pony who saved him.
"The Light Ninja. The legend's true." Frost said in awe at the sight of the ninja who saved him and can see that it is an alicorn. He the look towards Garmadon, who ready the two swords for a flipped over to the Light Ninja. The Light Ninja struck first by throwing a punch at Garmadon's head before he flipped back when Garmadon swung one of the swords. Garmadon try to thrust both swords at the Light Ninja, but the Light Ninja quickly jumped on them. Garmadon the spun around to throw the Light Ninja off, but the Light Ninja quickly grabbed the mast before he/she spun around it and land safely. Garmadon threw his two sorts at the Light Ninja, but he/she quickly spiral jumped to dodge them and they hit the mast. After landing on the ground, the Light Ninja did Spinjitzu around the mast it is bright sliver.
Frost watched in awe when he saw how incredible the Light Ninja is. After a few laps around the mast, Garmadon front flipped over to the Light Ninja before he got punched in the face a few times when he landed infront of the Light Ninja. The Light Ninja blocked an attack from Garmadon before he/she jumped back from a kick. After the Light Ninja spin kicked, Garmadon ducked only to get kicked again when he did. After falling back, Garmadon quickly jumped up before the Light Ninja flipped over him and took out the Bo of Wind and the Nunchucks of Lightning. Garmadon picked up a sword and charged at the Light Ninja, only to get hit by both weapons and knocked overboard.
After Garmadon was defeated, Frost looked at the Light Ninja who had one hoof on fire while the falcon was on the other. "Who are you?" He asked as he got up, but got no response. "Flash, is that you?" Another falcon flew pass them before another did. Frost looked around him to see multiple falcons around them. "What's the meaning of this? Who are you, Light Ninja?" Frost then bumped his head when he woke up in his bed and this time, the others were in the room with him.
"Oh, sleeping in?" Thunder asked sarcastically. "You're going to be late for training."
"Ah. How come no one awaken me?" Frost asked as he got out of bed.
"We didn't think you wanted us to." Gaia said. "You look like you were having some dream."
"How do I know this isn't a dream- Unh!" Frost got hit in the face with a pillow by Landrush.
"Does that feel like a dream?"
"No. Thank you for your help." Frost said as the others laughed. The Destiny's Bounty was in the water as morning came and ninjas were in their gis on.
"Heh-heh. Little slow today, huh?" Flash asked Frost. "What exactly did you dream about?"
"I saw the falcon again."
"Whoa. Frost, every time you see that bird something big happens." Thunder said. "First, it led you to the secret treehouse."
"Then it let you to the Bounty." Landrush said as Wu stood infront of them.
"All right. Stretches." Wu spoke up. "First, the Swooping Crane." He turned before he stood on one while he had his front hooves up and his students copy him.
"This time, it showed me the Light Ninja." Frost whispered to the others.
"The Light Ninja?!" They shouted, causing Wu to turn around and sees Flash and Trail covering their eyes, Gaia and Thunder covering their mouths, and Landrush covering his ears.
"That looks like the Shocked Monkey. Bad form, more focus." He turned back around and they went back to the Swooping Crane.
"You can't just drop a bomb like that. Spill the beans." Thunder whispered to Frost.
"Yeah, what else did you see?" Trail whispers.
"He or she was fighting Lord Garmadon." Frost answered quietly.
"That's what the prophecy said, that the Light Ninja would defeat the Dark Lord." Flash whispered. "But if you said "he or she", does that mean you didn't have a chance to see one of us is it?" The others wondered as well.
"I could not tell. Whoever it was shared attributes each of us possessed." Frost told them.
"Now, Pinching Crab." Wu said as they stood their back hooves while they lowered themselves a little they hold their front hooves up like crab claws.
"Well, tell us everything, and don't spare any details." Trail whispers to Frost. "There has to be a clue that can tell us which one of us is going to be the Light Nin- Ow, ow, ow! Hey!" He complained when Wu pulled on his ear.
"What was so important to ignore my teachings?" Wu asked them.
Uh, well you see- Meph!" Flash started before Gaia quickly covered his mouth.
"Uh, nothing?" Trail said.
"It was nothing, sensei." Thunder quickly said.
"Yeah, we don't talk while you teach." Landrush told him.
"Everypony was paying attention." Frost said.
"We were totally focused." Gaia said before she removed her hoof from Flash's mouth.
"Since you all appear to be lacking in focus, then you all can share in the punishment." Wu told them.
"What?" Trail complained.
"Punishment?" Thunder asked.
"No fair." Gaia complained.
"I try to tell the truth." Flash told him.
"It was all Frost." Landrush told Wu.
"I was merely answering their questions." Frost explained.
"No free time and no video games." Wu told them. "The rest of the day can be used for training. And tomorrow, for that matter."
"Training? For how long?" Trail asked.
"Until you can answer the simple riddle: What is the best way to defeat an enemy?" Wu told them.
"Easy, with a sword." Trail answered.
"Your hooves." Thunder answered.
"Staying fit." Flash answered.
"Keeping balance." Gaia answered.
"Spinjitzu." Landrush answered.
"Tornado of Creation?" Frost asked, in hopes that was the answer.
"Ah. Pace yourselves." Wu told them as he walked up some steps. "You have a lot of training ahead of you. Make sure you sharpen your mind as well as your Spinjitzu." They all looked down as they knew it was going to be a long day.
"Ah. What's the best way to defeat an enemy?" Landrush asked as he picked a bo staff from a box. "It could be anything. Unh." A training wheel popped up from the deck next to Thunder.
"Come on, guys, we're smart. We can figure this out." He said as he flipped through the axes on the wheel. Another one popped up infront of Trail before he punched a punching bag. He then looked to see Wu go into the bridge and out of view before he and the others walked over to Frost.
"Yeah, but let's hear more about this dream." Trail said as they listen to Frost.
"Let me just say, the Light Ninja is awesome." Frost said before he begins to tell them about his dream.
Up on the mountains, the Fangpyres and Lloyd are making their way to the Hypnobrai. "Go, general." Lloyd said as they continue on. Meanwhile at the top, Scales is leading the Hypnobrai down to face the Fangpyres. "The Hypnobrai. Now to teach them a lesson for portraying Lloyd Garmadon!" Thr Fangpyre general looked at LIoyd. "Uh, do your thing, Fangpyre. I let you out of your hole for a reason."
"Attack!" The general ordered as the other Fangpyres cheered while they advance to the top and the Hypnobrai was coming down. Soon both sides stopped in the middle and the Fangpyre General hopped off the reptilian bike to meet with the Hypnobrai when he suddenly recognized the General leading them, his rage quickly subsiding to give way for joy.
"Scales, my old chum!" The Fangpyre general said with joy. "I didn't think I'd be fighting you." Both generals came close and fist-bumped each other. "Hm, moved up in the world, have we?"
"If it isn't the Fangpyre," Scales said with a smile. "Of all the cold-blooded to creep up on us, I'm glad that it is a friend." Lloyd was confused by all of this, however.
"Wait, I thought you were enemies. Not friends," Lloyd pointed out, a little disappointed by this revelation.
"We were at war," the Fangpyre general said. "But seeing that Scales is now leading them... Well, I don't see why we can't be comrades."
"Had you released the Constrictai, the Venomari, or heaven forbid the Anacondrai, then we would've had a tussle," Scales told Lloyd.
"A tussle? A tussle?! But I'm Lloyd Garmadon, bringer of evil!"
"Heh-heh. What should we do with him?" Scales asked the Fangpyre general while they had their backs to Lloyd.
"I could turn him into one of us." Lloyd was not liking where this is going if he stays here.
"Hm, no, the little tyke is pretty useless." Scales told the general.
"What if you hypnotize him and make him think he's a pig?" The general asked as Lloyd decided to sneak away.
"That'd be pretty funny." Both Scales and the general laughed.
"Ha-ha! Can you imagine?" Lloyd hopped off the bike and run for it before the Hypnobrai and the Fangpyre surrounded him. Lloyd quickly jumped on a tail of another snake bike as they were getting close. The bike however growled before it fling its tail to send Lloyd flying off the face of the mountain. He fell to the bottom in a blanket of snow before he mumbled as he struggled to get out.
"With his hoof on fire." Frost finished telling them about his dream, causing them to go whoa.
"So I'm the Light Ninja." Trail thought out loud.
"What are you talking about?" Landrush asked. "He had Incredible strength to lift that cargo and save his life. It's me."
"No, no. Did you miss the part of the story where the guy pulled out nunchucks? I have nunchucks." Thunder said as he pulled his nunchucks.
"The guy also pulled out a bo, and Flash has one but you don't see him thinking it's him." Gaia pointed out. "Besides, you all obviously didn't hear that the Light Ninja is an alicorn! So it's me, because nopony has ever heard of stallion alicorn!"
"I think you're all missing the point of this dream." Frost spoke up. "The point is the falcon flew on his hoof and it was my dream, so naturally it's me."
"I think we can cross Landrush off the list." Thunder said. "I could've lifted-"
"Whoa, cross me off the list?" Landrush asked and interrupted him as Wu walked up behind them. "Anypony can hold nunchucks and a bo."
"Since you are not training, you must have already found the answer to my riddle." Wu assumed. "What is the best way to defeat your enemy?"
"Uh, the best way to defeat your enemy is to train, sensei?" Trail guest.
"Feeble and incorrect." Wu quickly told them. "Maybe more training will help you focus. Remember what happened to your vehicles when you lost focus. A razor sharp weapon is extension of a razor sharp mind." He told them before he went below deck. When he was gone, all six of them groan in frustration.
"How am I supposed to focus when we don't know who the Light Ninja is?" Thunder complained.
"I don't want to be training all day." Landrush said. "Let's work together on this riddle. We can figure it out."
In the desert, Lloyd was following the map to another tomb. ""Had you release the Constrictai, the Venomari, or heaven forbid the Anacondrai, then we would have had a tussle."" Lloyd mocked Scales. "Pfft!" He looked up from the map and he arrived to his destination. The Anacondrai tomb is a giant rock in the shape of a snake fang. "I found it!" He ran over to the tomb and under the rock is the entrance to the tomb. "The Anacondrai. The most feared and powerful Serpentine of them all. And if they're afraid of the Anacondrai, then the Anacondrai is what they're gonna to get." He said with an evil laugh.
Lloyd then opened the tomb before he walked in the dark place. Lloyd had turned on a flashlight to see a few skeletons of the Anacondrai on the ground. It looked like not a single one of them survived. Lloyd continue to look around, completely unaware something was behind him. It was invisible before it's purple eyes, fangs, and a jewel its head was shown. It turned visible when Lloyd turn his head for him to see a dark purple Serpentine with with a little black scales and a long neck and tail. Lloyd screamed and jumped when he saw it before he hit the ground and dropped his flashlight.
The large Serpentine came around a rock near where Lloyd landed and looked at him before he picked up the flashlight. "My sincerest apologies, young colt ." He spoke in a courtly tone before he felt his stomach rumble and raised his long neck while smacking his lips. "Oh, dear, due to my unfortunate appearance, I tend to have an unsettling effect on other creatures. Oh, I believe you dropped this." He gave Lloyd back his flashlight. "Ah, there you are."
"Uh, thank you." Lloyd said nervously. "Uh, what happened to the others?"
"Poor, unfortunate souls." The large Serpentine said as they walked. "All those years, locked away with nothing to eat. Must have slowly starved away until they were just scales and bones." Lloyd continue hear the loud rumbling coming from the large Serpentine's stomach. "And who may you be, my little appetize- Uh, I mean, friend?"
"Lloyd Garmadon." Lloyd introduced himself. "Son of Lord Garmadon and future dark ruler."
"Oh. Ha-ha. How deliciously evil." The large Serpentine praised. "If I had hooves, ooh, I'd be trembling in my boots."
"And, uh, who are you?"
"Humbly, I am Pythor P. Chumsworth." Pythor said with a bow. "And since you freed me, I am eternally in your service."
"Really? You're not gonna trick me?" Lloyd asked suspiciously.
"Oh, why would I trick you?" Pythor asked before he looked around. "I hardly have any friends."
"Whoa. I hardly have any friends too."
"You don't say." Pythor replied.
"Hey, how would you like to be my loyal henchman?" Lloyd asked as he turned his back to Pythor. I've been betrayed by the Hypnobrai and the Fangpyres, and I'm looking to get a little revenge on some ninja too." Pythor looked over Lloyd before his eyes were set on the map of a serpentine tombs in a saddlebag.
"Hm. I love revenge." Pythor said, acting all excited. "Oh, you know, Floyd-"
"It's Lloyd."
"Whatever. I have a feeling this is the start of a beautiful friendship." Pythor said as they walked out of the tomb.
Back on the Destiny's Bounty, the Ninjas we're grunting as they continue to train while also trying to figure out the riddle. Frost was practicing his balance, Thunder was working on some flipping, Landrush was spinning a staff around, Trail was hitting a punching bag, and both Gaia and Flash were sparring together. "Anypony got a solution to sensei's riddle?" Landrush asked.
"It can't be that hard." Thunder said. "What's the best way to defeat an enemy?"
"Frost, you're smart. What is it?" Flash asked as he blocked a kick from Gaia.
"I do not know, but I sense that sensei is going to keep us here if we don't work together and find an answer." Frost said as Thunder flipped pass him.
"That bothers me, because while we're here working, that means the enemy is playing." Landrush said as he slam the bo down.
In a one of the towns, both Lloyd and Pythor are playing, literally. As Lloyd laughed evilly while sitting in the basket of a bicycle while Pythor steered, they knocked over some trash cans of some of the residents as they went by. They soon went to a park and removed a sign that says no "walking on the grass." Once Pythor removed it, Lloyd went out and started to jump or roll around on the grass.
They then soon and stole an ice cream cart as they had stacks of ice cream on one cone. Both Pythor and Lloyd went to another park and through some stones at a couple of toy boats to make a couple fillys cry. They even started to steal candy from some foals and place them in a wheelbarrow full of candy as they mean their way back to pythor's tomb. They lay on the ground of the tomb as they were done eating some candy. "Wow. You're the best henchman a mastermind could ever have." Lloyd told Pythor.
"Lloyd, you're the best mastermind a henchman could ever have. Hm, why is it that you have no friends?"
"Well, I could've had friends back at my Boarding School for Naughty Foals, but I decided to run away and never let them see me again." Lloyd told him before he laughs.
"Really? Uh, why would you run away from making friends?" Pythor asked. "Everycreature needs friends, even tyrants."
"Well, uh, maybe I didn't run away. Maybe I, uh- I got kicked out." Lloyd told the truth.
"From the Boarding School for Naughty Foals?" Pythor asked in shock. "I don't believe it. I hear they are the breeding ground for the truly despicable. And if you ask me, hoho, you are a hoofful." He then licks a lollipop.
"Well, thank you, Pythor, but they told me I wasn't bad enough." Lloyd told him. They said I lack the amoral ambition to be one of tomorrow's masterminds."
"Well, you'll show them." Pythor said as he stood up.
"That's right. I will show them."
"Then why don't we?" Pythor asked.
"Uh, why don't we what?"
"Let's get revenge on the very school that rejected you." Pythor said. "And when the ninja come to the rescue, we'll have a trap laid out for them."
"A double revenge? Lloyd asked.
"A double revenge. Get some rest." Pythor told Lloyd. "Hijacking an ice cream cart is a lot for anypony, and if you're going to rule the world, well, ho-ho-ho, you'll need to get your asleep. Oh, and one more thing."
"Yes?"
"I'll be your friend." Pythor told him before they hugged and Lloyd yawned. Pythor had mischief grin on his face when Lloyd wasn't looking.
"Oh, Pythor, you're the best." Lloyd told him as he lay down on the ground to sleep. As Lloyd fell to sleep, Pythor had his eyes on his target, the map of tombs in Lloyd's saddlebag. He laughed a little before he reached out to take it. But Lloyd turned over to where he can't reach it while he slept, causing Pythor to grunt and growl in frustration.
On the Destiny's Bounty in Sensei Wu's quarters, Princess Twilight sits in front of him while they have a cup of tea. "So Princess Twilight, what seems to be troubling you?" Wu asked after taking a sip of tea.
"Well Wu, it's about Cozy Glow." Twilight told him as she looked down at the memory. "I know what she, Tirek, and Chrysalis had done was wrong and unforgivable. But I saw the look of regret when they got turned into stone. I can't help but feel if I should have done something or at least try harder." She sat her cup down. "Now a part of me is saying free her, but another part of me is saying it's a bad idea and she might get rid of all magic again. What should I do?"
"I believe you should listen to the part of you that tells you to do what's right." Wu told her as he sat down his cup. "You see Twilight, a young one's heart is like a small pond or lake, fresh and clean. It will only change or stay the same by the one who takes care of it. Cozy Glow had only done what she did because she was under the influence of one who carried darkness in his heart."
"Tirek."
"Yes, his influence darken her heart and had corrupted her." He said as he poured more tea. "But a young one is never too late to change. Like a polluted lake, it can be clean and shine once more if one is willing to clean it." The door to his room open before the ninjas poked their heads in. "Oh. You must have found the answer to what is the best way to defeat an enemy?" Wu asked when he saw them.
""The best way to defeat an enemy"?" Twilight asked.
"Long story, Twilight. And we have sensei." Landrush said. "It's... On three, team. One, two..."
"Teamwork!" All six ninjas said together.
"Is this what you all think?" Wu asked before they agreed. "Sadly, you are all wrong." All six groan in disappointment. Twilight and the ninjas then went above and they told about their punishment and the riddle.
"So because of this dream Frost had, you'll have to keep training until you get the answer to the riddle?" Twilight repeated.
"Yep, that pretty much sums it up." Flash said.
"I'm starting to think whoever figures out this riddle can be the Light Ninja for all I care." Gaia complained before the alarm sound.
"What's that?" Thunder asked.
"Who cares? It's something else besides training." Trail said before they rushed to the bridge where Aqua is. "Break it down for us, sis."
"Lloyd and a Serpentine have overtaken Darkley's Boarding School for Naughty Foals." Aqua told them.
"That place is a cesspool for the crooked and the misbehave." Thunder pointed out.
"Doesn't mean they don't need our help. Step on it." Flash said before Frost ran over a push the button. The sails popped open as rotors on the bottom turned on a fire underwater while everypony on board came out.
"NINJA, GO!" The six ninjas shouted before the Destiny's Bounty took flight and flew towards Darkly's Boarding School for Naughty Foals.
Meanwhile at the school that is a tall building, the sound of Lloyd laughing as a door to a science class closed while a bunch of fillies and colts were tied up while two familiar skeletons, Nuckal and Kruncha were also tied up and hanging upside down with tape over their mouths. In the halls, both Lloyd and Pythor were on skateboards as they ride through the halls.
"Heh-heh. Hey, how are the booby traps?" Lloyd asked Pythor.
"Every door, window, and hole into this place are spring loaded." Pythor told him.
"Ah, good. I'm sick and tired of those ninjas sneaking their way into my evil doings." Lloyd complained. Outside and high above the school, the Bounty hovers over it as Flash and Frost looked down at the school.
"Looks quiet down there." Frost said before looked back at the others. "Should we infiltrate using stealth?"
"Nah, we've done that." Flash said. "Lloyd will be prepared for us this time."
"What about using our golden weapons that turn into vehicles?" Trail asked.
"I'm still working out the kinks on that." Landrush said as he had his Spinjitzu vehicle out and was working on it. "Anypony have any other good ideas?"
"He. Well, I have one idea, but you guys gotta trust me." Thunder said.
"Oh. I don't think I like the sound of this." Gaia said. On the rooftop of the school, Lloyd paste around while Pythor stood near a cannon.
"Relax, we've made the perfect trap." Pythor told Lloyd. "We are in broad daylight so there isn't any shadows. But even if they could get in..." Lloyd then something on the ground go by fast.
"What's that!?" Lloyd shouted before he stepped aside and Pythor aim the cannon before firing a net at whatever Lloyd saw. The flew across the air before it landed on a small bunny.
"Oh, good. Yeah, good reflexes." Lloyd acted all cool. "I was just testing you. If I know these ninjas, they're cleverly sneaking their way right past us at this very moment." The ninjas were on the anchor of the ship while they all but Thunder looked extremely nervous.
"Thunder, I don't know about this." Flash said.
"Just hold on tight!" Thunder shouted before he signaled aqua to drop the anchor. Aqua reached over to a button and the anchor dropped down with the ninjas holding on for dear life. Lloyd and Pythor saw them coming down and quickly moved before the anchor crashed through the roof. It the crashed to the next floor, and then the third. The ninjas sigh, thinking it was over before crashing down to the second floor. The ninjas coughed by the amount of dust that was kicked up before getting up.
"Okay, let's agree to never do that again." Landrush said before they noticed that they fell to where the students, Nuckal, and Kruncha are. Landrush walked over to the students before he raised his scythe. The students panic as they thought he was going to do something to them before Landrush swing his scythe and cut them free. "Stay out of school, kids." He told them as they ran out.
"Or at least this one!" Gaia shouted to them before she turned her attention to Nuckal and Kruncha. "Well, well, well. Kruncha and Nuckal. Substitute teachers, eh? It we cut you down, we better not catch you hanging around Equestria again." Both skeletons nodded as they agreed and just want to be let down. "Or else." She said before Landrush cut them down and they fell. They quickly got up and bumped into each before they ran out.
"He's on the top floor! Let's get him!" Trail shouted as he pointed to Lloyd on the rooftop as he was looking down from the hole they made.
"NINJA, GO!" All six shouted as they split up to head to the top. Trail and Frost did Spinjitzu while they went out of the room and some stairs Flash and Landrush cleaned up the chains of the anchor, and both Thunder and Gaia took an elevator up. They both listen to some elevator music as they waited to get to the floor they want to get.
Meanwhile, Pythor is in one of the classrooms with a bucket on top of a door. Soon both Trail and Frost spin their way to that room and kicked open the door. The bucket then tipped over and they got stuck in a tone of slime. "Ugh!" Trail groan in disgust.
"I can't move." Frost said while Pythor and Lloyd laughed before Lloyd saw Flash and Landrush are still coming. Thunder and Gaia were still in the elevator as Thunder was getting a bit sleepy. Gaia noticed this before she bumped him awake. Meanwhile, both Flash and Landrush made to where Pythor is before they leaped off the chains and ready their weapons. Pythor however was holding on to a rope and was ready for them.
"Prepare to eat dust." Landrush told Pythor. Pythor then pulled the rope and trip both Flash and Landrush down as dust was kicked up when they fell. They both coughed by the dust there was as Pythor slithered out and both Thunder and Gaia flipped out of the elevator when it stopped.
"He's got a Serpentine with him! Watch for booby traps!" Flash told them as he pointed at Pythor.
"Ah, that's one big snake." Thunder said with wide eyes when they saw Pythor. Both he and Gaia chased after Pythor as he went up the stairs to the roof.
"They're coming! They're coming! They're coming!" Lloyd panicked as he ran around as Pythor came through the door to the roof and closed it with his tail. Pythor then picked up a large wooden beam and put it over the door. As he backed up, both Thunder and Gaia first through the door with ease and ready their weapons.
"Shocked to see us?" Thunder pond as they took battle stands.
"Do something!" Lloyd ordered Pythor. But Pythor just chuckled as he took the map from Lloyd's saddlebag. Lloyd saw this and turned to Pythor in confusion as the Anacondrai unfurled and looked over the map, "Wha...What are you doing? I thought you were my friend."
"All you wanted was to make the Serpentine your slaves!" Pythor glared at Lloyd as he slithered away. "Well, sorry, my dear boy, I have other plans." He said before he turned invisible. Both Thunder and Gaia looked around when Pythor turned invisible before they turn their attention to Lloyd. Lloyd try to look for a way out when they walked to him as he run. Lloyd ran around the hole as before he looked over the edge and saw it was a long way down. As he backed up, the Bounty came down with Twilight, Aqua, and Wu on deck as the others soon joined them on the roof.
"Lloyd Montgomery Garmadon, you come here right now." Wu demanded.
"I got him." Thunder said as he picked up Lloyd.
"Whoa! Hey, let me go!" Lloyd shouted as Thunder carried him over his shoulder.
"What should we do with him?" Landrush asked. "Wash his mouth out with soap for a year?"
"Ground him indefinitely?" Trail asked.
"Have him sit in a corner for a century?" Frost asked.
"Why not all of the above?" Gaia asked.
"I know exactly what we must do." Wu told them, causing Lloyd to gulp. Later that night as the Destiny's Bounty rests on a mountain top, Lloyd lays on a bed as Wu was finishing telling him a story. "And that is why Jack the rabbit never trust a snake." The end." Wu closed the book and looked at LIoyd with his hood down to so he has a blonde main.
"Oh, if my dad had read me that book, I would never have made that mistake. I'm sorry, uncle." Lloyd said as Wu stood up. The ninjas watched through the doorway with confused looks on their faces.
"Oh, you do not need to apologize." Wu told his nephew. "I'm sure that if your father was still here, it would be the first book he'd read to you. Goodnight, nephew. Sweet dreams."
"Ah. Goodnight, uncle." Lloyd said before he drifted off to sleep. The ninjas soon scattered as Wu turned to leave Lloyd's room. He walked up to the top deck where the ninjas approached him.
"I don't get it, sensei." Trail said.
"Why isn't the little brat getting punished?" Thunder asked.
"Yeah, we had to train all day and he gets read a bedtime story?" Landrush complained. "It's not fair."
"Hm, you're right, I nearly forgot." Wu said as he turned to them. "Why are you not still training? Did you find the answer to the riddle?"
"No, sensei, we still don't know what the best way to defeat your enemy is." Flash said before they turned to go below deck.
"It is to make them your friend." Wu told them, causing them to stop and go oh. They smile before they went below deck to look at LIoyd who is still asleep. They know it's not going to be easy, but they have a feeling that they'll be good friends. Twilight overheard them and thought to herself that Wu is right. She even though that it's time to purify a young heart. She made her way to the stone statues of Cozy Glow, Tirek, and Chrysalis in a large clearing where they've been left.
Twilight then channel her magic on Cozy Glow before she separated her from the other two and set her down on the ground gently. She then concentrate as cracks on Cozy Glow starting to form before the stone spell on her was broken and Cozy Glow gasped. Cozy then looked up to see Twilight infront of her with a small smile on her face. "P-princess Twilight? What's going on?" She asked.
"Cozy Glow, with everything you had done was unforgivable. But I always thought that you never deserve this." Twilight told her. "I know that you were an orphan before Tirek found you. But had always been a bad influence. So before I came here, I went to Ponyville City Hall and fill out some papers." Twilight then reached in her saddlebag and pull out adoption papers. "Cozy Glow, will you take the second chance and being part of the family?" Cozy Glow was speechless when she saw the adoption papers before looking at Twilight and began to cry. Cozy then leap into Twilight's hooves and hug her tight.
"I will! I will! Thank you so much." Cozy cried into Twilight's chest as Twilight hugged her back.
"Come on. Let's head home and get some sleep." Twilight told her as she place Cozy on her back. "And tomorrow I would like to introduce you to a new friend." After putting the papers back in her saddlebag, the two then flew back to Canterlot Castle.
