Chapter 5: Can of Worms
It's a bright sunny day in Equestria as a bird landed on the nose of the Destiny's Bounty that sits on top of a mountain. It's been a fine few days since Lloyd has been brought on board. He and Cozy Glow became fast friends after they bonded over how they used to do bad things. Word spread about Cozy and few creatures have been concerned about if she'll take away magic again from Equestria. But Princess Twilight has promised that won't ever happen again and she promised to look after her, as if she's her own daughter.
The sound of Lloyd whistling is heard as Trail had turned on the t.v. and picked up a game controller to start up the game as Lloyd stood in the doorway. "Hey, Trail. Heh. Saw Landrush beat your high score. You should've seen it. It was pretty spectacular." Lloyd told Trail.
"Uh, you must be talking about "Sitar Legend."" Trail said. "This is "Hoof to Face 2." Nopony beats me on my game."
"Huh, could be wrong. See you." Lloyd said as he walked away. When Trail started the game, he found his high score was nowhere to be found and all he sees is Landrush across the leaderboard.
"Huh? Landrush!" Trail shouted. In the kitchen of the ship, Landrush is stirring a pot filled with red soup.
"Mm, mm. Violetberry soup." Landrush said to himself. "My culinary achievement. If the recipe is not followed exactly-" He lift up the spoon to get a taste of it, only for him to grunt in disgust of the taste before he heard Cozy Glow.
"By the way, I saw Gaia spice things up." She said to get his attention. "I told her not to, but she said your cooking could use it. Bye, Landrush." When she left the room, Landrush spat out the soup and coughed.
"Gaia!" He shouted. In a different part of the Bounty, Gaia is found with a paint brush and some paint as she stood in front of a canvas covered by a cloth before she sigh.
"After a long, stressful day of training, I deserve a nice little break and to finally finish this painting of Celestia." Gaia said to herself before she pulled down the cloth and she gasp at what she saw. Her painting had red paint on Celestia's cutie mark so that the sun on it had a goofy grin, her wings had "Big Sun Butt" written on cross them, and two buck teeth have been drawn on her face along with two googly eyes.
"Oh yeah, Flash found your painting and put a little of his own touch to it." Lloyd told her before she looked at him with shrunken pupils. "I warned him it was a bad idea, but he said he wanted to give art a try. Later." Her eye twitched when he left before she broke the brush with her hoof by snapping it in half.
"Flash!" She shouted with rage. In a storage room of the ship, Flash had pulled out a trunk with some cleaning gear.
"I may not be a royal guard anymore, but it's always good to keep my armor nice and tidy just in case." Flash said before he opened the chest. But he found his old armor has dense and is all rusted.
"Oh sorry, Flash." He heard Cozy say as he saw her by the door. "I meant to tell you that Thunder was trying to clean your armor before. I told him not to use the soap that rust the armor. Bye." When she left, Flash picked his helmet and was mas.
"Thunder!" He shouted. On the deck of the ship, Thunder had training armor on as he stood infront of a robo training dummy before he picked up a remote and turned it on. Once it was activated, he put on his helmet and ready his nunchucks.
"Let's ease our way into this. How about level two, shall we?" Thunder asked as he pressed a button on the remote. The sparring butt sparked up a bit before an 9 was on a small screen on it. He heard Lloyd whistling before he turned to see him on the steps.
"Hey, Thunder, I saw Frost trying to repair the sparring bot earlier." He told him. "Isn't that your expertise? Later, bro." Lloyd went up the steps as Thunder was concern about what he said.
"Wait, what?" Thunder asked as he quickly pressed the button on the remote to try and turn it off, but the bot was coming towards him and out of control. "No. No! Frost!" He shouted as he the bot beat him up. On the head of the ship, Frost sat down a laundry basket as Cozy Glow approached him.
"Hello, Cozy." Frost greeted. "What brings you up here this fine morning?"
"Other than Twilight being here about the Serpentine, Trail wanted me to pick up his ninja suit. He said he threw it in with your whites." Cozy said before she opened the basket and pulled out a red ninja suit. "Here it is. Thanks." As she walked away, Frost looked into the basket and find that all his white ninja suits had to turn pink. The six soon came into their barracks just scold one another.
"You couldn't just be happy with the top score? You had to rub it in my face?!" Trail shouted at Landrush.
You know how long it took me to make that? Three days. Three days!" Landrush shouted at Gaia.
"Painting is my zen after a stressful day and you don't mess with my zen!" Gaia shouted at Flash.
"I can get by the rust, but how did you get dents in it?!" Flash shouted at Thunder.
"It's an unsaid law, okay? You don't touch a staillion's robot!" Thunder shouted at Frost.
"How am I supposed to strike fear in this? It's pink!" Frost shouted at Trail as he holds up his ninja gi before Twilight and Spike walked in.
"What's with all the yelling in here?" Twilight asked as she walked up to them.
"And, what's with the pink ninja suit?" Spike asked before the six ninjas started arguing indistinctly as Wu walked in. He shook his head before he slide a door open to show both Lloyd and Cozy Glow laughing at them. Next to them are a hammer, a tool box, a bucket with a sponge next to it, some spices, red paint, and laundry detergent.
The Six Ninja gasped in shock and realization, "You two did this?!" They shouted as they scowled at the two foals.
"Gotcha!" Lloyd and Cozy said before they hoofbumped and laughed again.
"Guys, I get first dibs on Lloyd." Landrush said as he warm up his hooves.
"You can have what's left of Cozy when I'm done with her." Gaia told him as they approached them. Twilight quickly stood infront of Cozy Glow to protect her.
"No dibs." Wu spoke up. "I put them up to this for today's lesson. I wanted to show you the destructive power of rumors and that jumping to conclusions can only lead to trouble. Did you ever think to find out if the accusations were true?"
"Uh, no offense, sensei, but let me jump to this conclusion: Today's lesson is lame." Landrush said.
"Yeah. Why can't you teach us to paralyze your enemy with one hoof? Or find out if a stallion is lying by the twitch of his nose?" Thunder asked.
"Because not all lessons are about fighting." Wu told them. "And I misplaced my lesson book." Spike looked and sees a book with Wu's mark on it tucked in Lloyd's hoodie before he walked over and took it.
"You mean this lesson book?" Spike asked.
"It was the perfect plan, until you had to show up and mess everything up." Lloyd complain as the door was closed on him by Landrush.
"If you're done fooling around, I could use guys on the bridge. We do still have a snake problem to attend to. Over and out." They heard Aqua over the PA.
"It's one thing to let the son of your nemesis live with you, but having my sister here? I mean, come on, I thought this was a ninja headquarters." Trail complained.
"You do know I can hear you. Over and out." Aqua told him over the PA. They soon joined her in the bridge room where she stood infront of the map. "Last we heard of Pythor, he stole the map of dens from Lloyd and is now on his way to open the last two Serpentine tombs."
"Ugh. Don't remind me." Lloyd asked as his ears dropped at the thought.
"Pythor's are most dangerous threat." Wu said. "If he finds those tombs before we do, with his intellect and all four tribes unleashed, there's no telling what he'll do."
"But those tombs could be anywhere." Thunder spoke up. "Without the map, we might as well just throw darts at a map."
"Good idea. Why don't we?" Aqua said as she stood behind them before she threw a couple of darts. Trail ducked as the darts hit two locations on the map. "These are the two locations of the Hypnobrai and the Fangpyre tombs."
"Show off." Trail said as Aqua walked pass them and put to the map to place another dart on the location of Pythor's tomb.
"And this is Pythor's tomb." Aqua said before she turned to them. "After many hours of ruminating on why the tombs were placed in these three precise locations, I discovered a secret pattern." She then channeled her magic to cast a shadow of a snake to overlap the map and cover the three locations she marked. "If you notice, all three are in line with the ancient Equestrian symbol for Serpent."
"So the last two tombs are here, at the Mountain of a Million Steps, the Constrictai Tomb and here, in The Toxic Bogs, the Venomari Tomb." Twilight said as she pointed to two different locations on the map along the snake symbol. "You're a genius, Aqua."
"Ah, was there ever any doubt?" Aqua asked.
"There's little time." Wu spoke up. "Trail, Gaia, and Thunder, you head to the Venomari tomb. Flash, Landrush, and Frost, you three take the Constrictai tomb. And take this." He takes out the sacred flute and gives it to Landrush. "You might need it if you run into Pythor. Good luck, ninja."
"What am I gonna do?" Aqua asked.
"Yeah, what are we gonna do?" Lloyd asked, causing Aqua to glare at him.
"Aqua, I need you and Twilight here to make sure Lloyd doesn't get into any more trouble." Wu answered.
"Yes, sensei." Aquaset said in a annoyed tone.
"Let's go, team. We got some snakes to club." Landrush told them before they each went out to the tombs. When they left, Wu walked up to the map and wonder something.
"Where are you, Pythor? What are you up to?"
Near the base of a tall mountain with a million steps that looks like the head of a snake, Flash, Landrush, and Frost arrived there on their Spinjitzu vehicles. The moment they were close enough, their vehicles vanish in a flash before they land on the ground and did ninja poses with their weapons. Frost however groaned as his ninja suit is now pink. "Well, your vehicles won't traverse the steps. We go the rest of the way on hoof." Flash told Landrush and Frost.
But this is the Mountain of a Million Steps." Frost told Flash. "Aren't we pressed for time?"
"Then we'll take a shortcut." Landrush said. With Frost on his back and Flash using his wings to go up, Landrush began to climb his way up the mountain.
"Am I holding on too tight?" Frost asked.
"You want me to carry him the rest of the way?" Flash asked as he flew close to them.
"Light as a feather, Pinkster." Landrush told Frost before he looked at Flash. "And it's cool, I got him. Almost there." Landrush then leap another feet up tge mountain before they reached the top and into the large snake mountain mouth. Once there, they see the tomb was open and a rope has been tied to a rock all the rest of it was sent down the hole.
"Looks like Pythor was already here." Flash said.
"Perhaps we should investigate." Frost suggested.
"Give me a second. Phew." Landrush took a breath. "You both go on and start without me." Frost then climb down the rope as Flash flew his way down the hole. Frost landed on a rock with a star in the middle of a swirl inside the dark tomb. Frost then took out a torch and lit it to light up the room they're in. They soon spotted some drawings on the walls before Landrush came down the rope as they went over to them.
"Huh. Didn't Mama Snake ever tell him not to draw on the walls?" Landrush joked before he joined Flash and Frost.
"These images describe a legend about one tribe uniting them all." Frost said as he looked at the images.
"Those snakes had been at war with each other for a centuries." Flash said.
"Well, it says here, once they unite, they can find the four Silver Fang Blades that will unleash the Great Devourer, and evil that will consume all of the land, turning day into night." Frost translated.
"You get all that from those little pictures?" Landrush asked, all three of them unaware of something moving underground.
"Landrush, this is serious." Flash told him.
"This gives me deep concern." Frost said. "If Pythor's not here, and unites all the tribes together before Trail, Gaia, and Thunder find him..."
"Relax, guys." Landrush told them. "They're a bunch of dumb snakes who believe in fairy tales. If anything, we got all the- Did you both feel that?" He whispered as he looked down.
"What?" They both asked.
"There's something in the ground." Landrush told them as he looked around. The three stay alert as they looked around. "Don't move." Just then, a large black Constrictai with a long tail, yellow eyes and drak orange scales down his center popped up from the ground and wrapped its tail around Frost.
"I've been waiting for you." The Constrictai general said. "Pythor sends his regards."
"Did you stay behind just to tell us that?" Frost asked. "Pathetic."
"Look who's calling who pathetic, Pinkster." The general told him.
"Only I call him Pinkster." Landrush said as he swings his scythe around before he slammed it into the ground, causing a tremor that made the general to let go of Frost. The Constrictai then borrowed under the ground.
"Quick, go for the rope!" Flash shouted before they ran back to the rope. As Flash and Frost jumped on the rock, Landrush was pulled underground by the general. "Landrush?" Landrush was then thrown out before he crashed on the ground. Rumbling can be heard as the general was moving underground before they saw him head straight at Landrush. Landrush saw it coming, so he quickly stood and took out the sacred flute before playing it.
"No!" The general shouted as burst out of the ground and held his head in pain when he heard the flute. He then quickly wrapped his tail around Landrush and squeezed him tight to make him stop playing.
"Guys. Guys." Landrush spoke as he was getting strangled. As the general squeeze him tighter, Landrush dropped the flute.
"NINJA, GO!" Both Flash and Frost shouted as they did Spinjitzu and spun their way to the flute. Frost quickly picked it up and he lift up his hood to play it before the general quickly grabbed him by the throat. Frost quickly threw the flute over to Flash and after he took a deep breath, the general grabbed him by the throat as well. Even with all three of them getting choked up, Flash lift up his hood and played the flute with the breath he had. As the general choked him tighter, his vision was getting blurry as he was almost out of oxygen. Flash took in one deep breath before playing the last note of the song. After hearing the last note, the general held his head in pain as he screamed and let go of the three.
"Wrap your head around this!" Landrush shouted as he picked up his scythe and swung it to knock the general down and knocked him out.
"Ah. Good one." Frost told him.
"Thanks. But if he was expecting us, I think the others are walking into a trap." Landrush said as he put his scythe away. "Come on. Let's get out of here."
"You both... go on... I'm a little lightheaded..." Flash told them as he was taking a few breaths. Both Landrush and Frost nodded before they climbed up the rope. Flash shook his head before he took a deep breath and walked to the rope. Just when he was about to go, he notice something in the corner of his eye. His curiosity took over and he walked over to two rocks that were placed on top of each other but let the small gap for him to see. Once he moved the two rocks out of the way, his eyes laid upon a big snake egg laying there. "What the...? I know those snakes are bad, but I know they're terrible parents if they just leave an egg here."
Flash thought for a moment before he looked at the unconscious general, then back at the egg. He then laying down a piece of cloth before he picked up the egg carefully and placed it on the cloth. He then wrap the ink up and carefully place it to a side before he flew out of the hole and catch up to Frost and Landrush.
Meanwhile Trail, Gaia, and Thunder rode their Spinjitzu vehicles to the Toxic Bogs where the Venomari tomb is kept.
In a flash of light, their vehicles vanished and they landed on the ground safely. They spotted the tomb across the bog from where they are. "Ew!" Thunder said as he covered his nose through his mask.
"Hey, it's not me. We're in the Toxic Bogs." Trail explained.
"He's right. This stuff will eat through you worse than Landrush's chili." Gaia said as she picked up a stick before placing it in the bog. When she pulled it out, they saw it was burned by it. The three then took to the trees and jumped their way to the tomb. They jumped from branch to branch and swing on a few vines till they reach the tomb. Once there, Thunder walked up to the entrance and opened it. As it open, a yellowish green gas came out and it smelled horrible.
"P-yew!" Thunder said as he, Trail, and Gaia covered their noses from the smell.
"P-yew! P-yew! P-yew!"
They heard Thunder's echo go off in the tomb and cost Thunder to chuckle. Let's just make this quick before Pythor gets here." Trail said as Thunder went in to inspect the tomb before he heard a splash. "What...?" He walked around the big tree the tomb is in to investigate the noise.
This place looks empty. You must've just missed them." Thunder told Trail and Gaia. "Check this out. They say you're the Light Ninja, but I say I am!"
"I am! I am! I am!
"Seriously!?" Gaia asked as she rolled her eyes before she hurt her own echo.
"Seriously!? Seriously!? Seriously!?"
As Thunder chuckled at that, Trail continue to be inspect the place around them. He then quickly took out his sword when he heard a croak, only to find a frog infront of him. "You shouldn't sneak up on ponies like that." He told the frog as it hopped on it a green rock. "Heh, if I wasn't such a well-trained nin-" He stopped when he noticed something odd about the rock the frog is on before said rock rise up from the bog. It was actually a Venomari Serpentine with four deep yellow eyes and venom green scales on its body with the dark green scales. This Serpentine chuckled before its spat venom in Trail's eyes. Trail quickly closed his eyes when the venom landed and when he opened them, his eyes glowed venom green. Not only that, but his vision became all wavy. "Thunder? Gaia!"
"No, I'm the real Thunder!" He shouted into the tomb as his echo sent it back to him. More Venomari Serpentine rise from bog as some Constrictai Serpentine with orange scales down their bodies and grey scales on their faces popped up from the ground and approach Trail. Trail was swinging his sword in fear as they surrounded him and with the venom in his eyes, he either saw them as bunnies or gingerbread stallions.
"Oh, this is not good!" He shouted in fear. "Thunder! Gaia!" They both heard his cry and went to see what's got him so scared. "There are so many!" Trail shouted as he dropped his sword and fell to the ground as he held his head as Thunder and Gaia saw the Serpentine surround him. "Bunnies and gingerbread ponies everywhere!"
"Okay, I don't know what you're seeing, but this is no time to lose yourself." Gaia said as she and Thunder took out their weapons.
"She's right, we need you, partner." Thunder told Trail.
"I've never fought little things before!" Trail told them as he stood up. "We're toast!" Just then, both Landrush and Frost jumped the bog on their vehicles while Flash flew across on his. Their vehicles vanished in a flash of light before they landed to where Thunder, Trail, and Gaia are.
"Anypony order a little kick butt?!" Landrush asked.
"Butt! Butt! Butt!"
Thunder laughed at Landrush's echo when he heard it. "Boo!" Pythor shouted as he appeared out of the tomb and scared Thunder. As Pythor approach them, Flash took out the flute and begin to play it before Pythor snatched it from him with his tail. "No, let's not let music ruin things, hmm?" The ninjas backed up as they are outnumbered. They soon stepped on a large tree log and began to sink and burn in the bog. "I've got a sinking feeling this may be the last I see of you six." Pythor said with an evil grin as he laughed.
The ninjas knows there's no way out of this, with Trail hallucinating, and Flash not able to carry all of them. The bog's toxic water is getting closer as the log was getting smaller. "That's it. I used to hate dragons, but now I officially hate snakes!" Gaia complained.
"Wait, do you see that?" Trail asked. "A magic floating rope. We can climb to safety." He was about to walk off the log before Thunder stopped him.
"Boy, that Venomari venom is some powerful stuff." Thunder said as the log was half way gone and the Serpentine are laughing at their near demise.
"For whatever it is worth, it was an honor to fight beside you all." Frost told his friends.
"Me too." Landrush agreed.
"Same." Gaia said.
"Yeah, ditto." Thunder said.
"Looks like we won't get to see what you'll be when you hatch, little guy or gal." Flash whispered to the egg. Just then, a rope came down from nowhere infront of the ninjas. "Hey, what?"
"The magic rope. Ha." Trail said with hallucination.
"Quick. Everypony, climb over!" Thunder shouted as they quickly jumped on to the rope. Pythor was shocked to see a rope appeared before something big landed. It looked to be a large red Samurai Mech, with a booster on its back, golden claws on its arm, and shoulder cannons. The Serpentine backed up when they saw this before it shot a net from its claw at two Constrictai. The Serpentine scattered as the two Constrictai bored into the ground. They all ran for their lives, leaving just Pythor there with the thing.
"Oh, dear." He said as he backed up a little. The chest of the mech then lower to reveal a samurai stallion with a mask helmet on his face, robotic eyes, and red armor.
"Pythor target confirmed." The samurai said in a robotic voice. "Time to bag and tag." As Pythor turned to leave, the samurai took aim and fire a dart at Pythor's rear end. He yelp in pain when he felt the dart hit him before he slithered away. When they were gone, the ninjas got back on land as the samurai jumped down from his mech.
"Who are you?" Landrush asked the samurai as they approached him.
"How about the coolest thing I've ever seen?!" Thunder shouted with excitement.
"Santa?" Trail asked with wonder as Frost walked up to the samurai.
"Thank you mysterious warrior. I owe you my life for saving- Ugh!" He coughed when the samurai spray him with some sort of gas before he fell asleep.
"Now that wasn't nice." Thunder said before he and the others got sprayed and fell asleep as well. The mech then pulled the samurai in by a grapple before it took off into the sky. As all six ninjas lay on the ground asleep, a light shine down on them as the Destiny's Bounty came overhead.
The ninjas were picked up by Wu, Twilight, her friends, and Aqua later. After they woke up, they all were in the dining room out of their ninja suits as Thunder explained what happened. "So then, just when we were gonna bite it, this huge mechanical robot-"
"Samurai. It was a samurai." Frost corrected.
"A sama what?" Cozy Glow asked.
"Samurai. Highest level of warrior class." Wu explain. "They would protect nobility and serve with honor on the battlefield."
He was a hundred feet high, with weapons coming out every part of him." Trail said as he is still under the effects of the venom. "Look at sensei's beard and Twilight's mane." He whispered to Landrush as he saw Wu's beard and Twilight's mane move around. "They're moving like snakes."
"When is this Venomari spit supposed to wear off?" Aqua asked. "It's starting to get annoying."
"Yeah, it was fun at first. But now..." Rainbow Dash said as Trail put some food on his face.
"I can't believe that those Serpentine would just leave an egg behind." Fluttershy said as she holds the egg Flash brought. "It's just so irresponsible."
"Okay, don't let this mysterious samurai or the egg cloud what's really important: All the Serpentine are out, and if Pythor can unite them, the legend states some Great Devourer is gonna consume the land and-" Landrush said before Applejack spoke up.
"Great Devourer?"
"Whatever it is, it's a can of worms none of us want to see open." Flash said.
"Unh, it's all my fault." Lloyd spoke up. "If I hadn't opened the first hatch, none of this would've happened."
We cannot change the past, but we can affect the future." Wu said. "At least we have the Sacred Flute and our possession, so-"
"Yeah. Ahem. About that..." Thunder sounded nervous.
"Pythor sort of stole it." Frost told Wu.
"The last Sacred Flute, gone?" Wu asked in shock before he sigh. "You six are Equestria's last hope." The alarm then went off at that moment.
"Cold-vision must have caught something." Aqua said when the alarm sound. "That means the Serpentine are near."
"Oh, no! Equestria City?" Landrush asked before they all head to the bridge. There the computer show them multiple Serpentine are gathering.
"How many are there?" Rarity asked.
"Looks like all of them." Rainbow Dash pointed out.
"Pythor must be trying to unite them." Frost theorized.
"Go. We mustn't let the five tribes unite." Wu told the ninjas before they went to suit up.
"NINJA, GO!" All six shouted as they did Spinjitzu in a locker room. All but Trail stopped and are in their ninja suits before Frost looked over his, that are still pink. "Ah. I must get this taken care of." He told himself. Trail, however was getting dizzy from the spinning before his Spinjitzu vanished and he fell to the floor.
"Don't worry. It'll wear off soon." Thunder told Trail. "For now, you're coming with me." He helped Trail. As Trail shook his head, he opened his eyes and they were back to normal. Trail was soon put in his suit before they went top deck and Thunder jumped off with him. Trail screamed as they fell before Flash, Gaia, Frost, and Landrush jumped off after. Thunder then took out his nunchucks and summon his jet to fall faster to the city below.
"Ah! I love the smell of land hurtling towards you in the middle of the night!" Landrush told the others. They soon each took out their weapons and summoned their vehicles as they fall faster towards the city. Gaia, Frost, and Landrush drove down the side of a building as Flash hover above them before Frost and Gaia landed in a ally when Landrush's vehicle landed in the middle of it before their vehicles vanished in a flash of light. Soon both Flash's and Thunder's vehicles came flying down before they vanished in a flash of light and Flash, Trail, and Thunder land on the ground.
They all gasp as they got a good look at the city they're in. "Equestria City. Amazing." Trail said with amazement. "Always heard stories of this place."
"Biggest city in all of Equestria, even Manehattan." Flash said. "Always wanted to come here when I was colt."
"Me too." Thunder said.
"Yeah, I always dreamed of one day being on a billboard here." Landrush told them.
"You too?" Gaia asked.
"Yeah, I did too." Trail said.
"Uh, but may I remind you, where are the snakes?" Frost spoke up. "We should be standing in the middle of a massive Serpentine gathering." They looked around before they noticed an open manhole cover that leans into the sewer as Gaia groan.
"I hate snakes." She complained before they each went down the hole. And one look to be an abandoned subway tunnel, every Serpentine have been gathered there while the generals talk behind some subway carts.
"You'll have to use more than words to bring the Serpentine together." Scales told Pythor.
"All I have to do is show them the way." Pythor said.
"They're ready for you, Pythor." The Venomari general told him.
"Ah. Showtime." Pythor said as he climb on to the top of the cart where all the Serpentine can see him. "Friends, enemies, and enemies who pretend to be friends." They all laughed at that joke just as the ninjas arrived at the top of a railing. "I welcome you."
"That's a lot of snakes." Landrush whispered.
"What are we gonna do?" Thunder asked.
"I have an idea. Follow my lead." Flash told the others before they went into the shadows.
"And what is with the Constrictai and their vice-like grip? Let it go, already." Pythor joked as they all laugh.
"It's funny because it's so true." A Fangpyre told a Hypnobrai.
"Heh, but in all seriousness, the reason why I called this gathering is because the good creatures of Equestria imprisoned us in those insidious tombs, and I want to return them the favor." Pythor told them and they all cheered. As they all cheered, a rope was lowered and Flash came down just above them and where they can't see him.
"That sounds like a great plan, but you know the Hypnobrai well screw it up!" Flash shouted for them to hear.
"Who said that?!" A Hypnobrai shouted as they were offended by that.
"Those buck teeth can bite my rear end." Thunder said behind some Fangpyres.
"I bet they're drinking their own venom." Landrush said.
"All that digging must have given them dirt for brains." Frost said.
"I've seen knives sharper than their fangs." Trail said.
"I think be in that bog for so long melted their brains." Gaia said. Every Serpentine argued amongst each other as they blamed one another for those accusations.
"What's going on? Why am I losing them?" Pythor asked Scales. He shrugged before he saw Landrush run across the railing.
"Ninja! Don't worry, I'll take of it." Scales told him before he went off. Landrush looked down at the great work him and the others had done before he was pulled underground. As Flash, Gaia, and Trail stand behind a wall, something pulled them underground and both Frost and Thunder saw it from a entrance of a tunnel. They saw something move underground and coming towards them. They backed up a bit before they made a run for it. Three Constrictai popped out of the ground and surrounded Thunder before they grabbed him.
Frost turned and sees Thunder get captured. "RUN!" Thunder told Frost. When he was about to help Thunder, more Constrictai popped out of the ground and chased Frost down the tunnel. Frost kept running till he reached a subway stop. He saw that the gates were locked before he saw a poster and quickly stood infront of it. The Constrictai made it to the stop as Frost close his eyes in hopes they don't see him. The Constrictai looked around before they turned around and went back.
Frost opened his eyes and saw they left before he looked at the pink poster and sigh in relieved as that he is glad his suit is pink now. Meanwhile, the four tribes continue to argue amongst each other as they think the other insulted them. "Did you take care of them?" Pythor asked Scales when came back.
"All but one." Scales answered as he pointed to a closet with the ninjas tied up in.
"Search every nook and cranny." Pythor told him. "If he's a ninja, you'll never find him in plain sight."
"Look, a pink ninja!" A Serpentine called out as she pointed to Frost who is swinging on a rope.
"Go, pink ninja, go!" The other ninjas shouted as Frost came around and knocked both Pythor and Scales off the subway cart. He then quickly made his way to his friends and free them with his shuriken.
"Unh. Now let's get out of here." Frost said before they swing over the Serpentine on ropes before they jumped off and run down a tunnel with the Serpentine chasing them. "Let us blow this popsicle stand. NINJA, GO!" Frost shouted as he did Spinjitzu.
"Popsicle stand! Ha ha, I like it!" Thunder said before Frost stopped and took out his shurikens and used their power to freeze the tunnel. He then threw them before run and summoned his bike. Gaia then took out her sais before she run forward and summoned her bike. Trail, Landrush, and Thunder got on the back of Frost's bike as Flash got on Gaia's. Both Frost and Gaia then revved up their bikes and took off as the Serpentine cut up to them.
They managed to get away a lot faster on their bikes as they travel down the tunnel. Thunder managed to slip off Frost's bike but held on to the end. He holds on tight as they continue on down the tunnel. As the Serpentine were still after them, they began to slip on the ice as they ran. Pythor lost his balance and slipped on the ice as well. "You'll have to do better than that to unite the tribes." Scales told Pythor as he helped him up.
"GET YOUR HANDS OFF ME!" Pythor shouted with anger.
The ninjas returned to the Bounty where they all continue to eat dinner together. "You know, whether it was in a lesson book or not, we used the destructive power of rumors to our advantage." Landrush said.
"And now the Serpentine are further away than ever from getting their act together." Trail said.
"I don't think we would've gotten out of there if it hadn't been for Frost." Thunder pointed out.
"Don't thank me, Thank Lloyd and Cozy." Frost said. "If it hadn't been for their "laundry skills," we all would've been found." They all laugh at his joke before Twilight noticed Flash holding the Serpentine egg.
"I'm going out on a limb here and say that you're going to keep the egg, aren't you?" She asked.
"Well, I did found it back at the tomb and I couldn't just leave it there." Flash said.
"You may have found the egg in the Constrictai tomb, but that does not mean it will be a Constrictai." Wu told Flash. "Serpentine eggs hatch when the time is right. And what it may be is a mystery until then."
"Wow. Hey Twilight, think you and Fluttershy could help out with the egg?" Flash asked.
"Uh, sure Flash. I be glad to help out." Twilight said with a small blush.
"Oh, I'd be more than happy to help with this little one." Fluttershy said as she looked at the egg. Both Lloyd and Cozy Glow walked in with a basket full of Frost's ninja suits, that are white again.
"Well, it took us 20 loads, but your suits are no longer pink." Cozy Glow told Frost.
"And to show that I'm sorry, Landrush." Lloyd said. "I got you a can of nuts." He pulled out a can and offered it to him.
"Uh, ha ha, yeah." Landrush chuckled as he walked up to him. "Don't think I don't see what this is. When I open this, a bunch of snakes are gonna pop out, right? Yeah. No, thank you." He then walked over to a fridge and opened it, only for a bunch of rubber snakes to pop out of it and spooking him.
"Gotcha!" Lloyd laughed at the shocked Landrush sat in a pile of snakes. Everypony in the room laugh at how Landrush was outsmarted by Lloyd, and pretty soon he was laughing too.
