(Installation 04, 2532, March 14th.)

Sergeant Stacker turned from cover in time to see Master Chief and one of the Ultramarines enter the room. The two raised their weapons and opened fire on the covenant.

"Sir?" The marine said as the two slowly advanced, gunning down a pair of elite minors who attempted to stand their ground.

"Clear?" Halius asked as Igaros and Linda entered.

"Marine?" Linda asked as they looked at the group. "Are you and your squad safe?" Linda asked before Stacker nodded.

"Yeah… Been holding them off for half a damn hour… Almost ran out of ammo… Same of the jarheads that ran here are dinged up." Stacker added as Halius looked to the Spartan sniper.

"What are UNSC crewmen doing groundside?" Cortana asked as covenant reinforcements came down the stairs.

"Suppressive fire!" Halius ordered as he looked at the marine. "We can discuss this when they are safe! Take your squad and stay put, they have artillery support outside! Igaros? Create a perimeter!" Halius stated before the sound of footsteps behind them drew his attention.

Halius drew Blind Justice and drew himself around the corner, slicing the elite major in half before he watched a trio of sword-wielding ultra elites emerge along with a zealot.

Chief rounded the corner as the two rushed the group. Halius ducked a swing of the sword, grabbing their hand and knocking another back with a kick which sent him flying…

Chief ducked Halius and drew his knife, stabbing one elite in the throat with a gurgle as he backpedaled from another stab.

Halius grabbed the overzealous elite and tossed him down the ramp before stabbing them as Chief grabbed one elite who missed a stab and twisted their skull to the side with a sickening crack.

"We need extraction…" Cortana added as Halius hummed.

"So do they," Halius stated as the two supersoldiers attacked the flanking covenant.

(In orbit)

"Lieutenant Halius hasn't checked in?" Titus asked as Cutter hummed.

"Last transmission from him? He was busy evacuating UNSC soldiers who crash-landed… Half of Blue Team is with them and right now? They are under attack by a large covenant force." Cutter asked before he looked at the hologram.

"Didn't one of our support ships go down around there?" Forge asked before he frowned.

"No… But we did lose a few ships… And right now? The covenant is desperate to push the rest of us off the ring." Cutter stated before he sighed.

He knew damn well the covenant would throw away as many soldiers as needed… Cutter also knew Thel was not as stupid as the other covenant commanders.

He was not as pious or as zealous and that was a weakness they needed; one he wished the elite had. They were going to need every single little weakness or else they were liable to all get killed before anything vital was done to fix these sorts of things now.

Yes, very vital they fix it all.

(With Halius and Chief)

The last of the elite ultras were thrown out the door and rolled off the cliff as Halius and Chief faced off with the last of the zealots.

Halius was curious as to how he would have done if they had any sort of tactics. It seemed like they were bearing down on them with sheer numbers rather than tactics now.

He simply faced off with the zealot who rushed at them and slashed at them, driving Halius backward with a few furious slashes only for him to grab the Sangheili and slam them into the wall.

He had a lot more to deal with for now… And this battle had taken its toll upon him.

Now? Now he had been distracted even as he slammed the elite once more into the ground, their shields dying out as Halius drew his knife and impaled the elite in the chest as Chief stabbed them in the throat.

The elite gurgled and collapsed to the ground as Halius and Chief cleaned off their knives before sheathing them.

"We are suppressed right now… I do not know how well we can push them back from inside the structure." Halius stated before the sound of engines was heard.

"Sierra? This is Spirit of Fire; we have sent Spartan Red Team to pull some of the heat off you…." They heard before Halius paused to himself.

"How large is this one rescue mission?" Halius questioned as he realized more covenant soldiers were entering the area.

He then realized they were also the only group of supersoldiers in this area… Which was probably why they were fighting tooth and nail to kill them.

Halius cursed before a pair of AV-14 Hornets flew overhead. This had gone from a simple rescue mission to a siege which he believed was one massive battle of a larger war on this ring.

He had a lot more to try and understand what was going on as he shook his head. Halius brought up his bolter and motioned for the group to move toward the structure.

"This turned into a siege fast," Halius stated before he sighed to himself as he slowly backed away, firing his bolter at a wave of grunts who were beginning to swarm them.

He knew that whoever had commanded that ship seemed to be willing to fight to the bitter end rather than cut their losses and retreat for now to fight another day.

He had been distracted enough for them to regroup and continue to shoot at the UNSC/Imperial group.

"We are going to need to take down the cruiser or else they are going to overwhelm us," Halius stated before he sighed.

Every single little idea he had to think of now was going to be done and dusted for now and it was going to come down to it as he paused to think.

Every single idea. He was tired now and for a good reason… He had a lot more to deal with for now.

Halius rushed backward, tired… Too tired to think, to fight… So, he ran on adrenaline.

He could kill… So, he focused entirely on that.

Halius started shooting once more as he and Suriel hosed down the rushing grunts.

"Suppressing fire!" Johnson ordered as the 8 marines started firing.

Halius watched at least 40 new grunts and jackals rush forwards. He slammed the second to last magazine in his bolter and sighed.

he let them charge… He raised his bolter then shot 1, 2… Then 4 then 7 grunts. Each one popped like a zit under the bolts.

He knew damn well that it was growing to be something chaotic for now… An idea like this was going to worry him.

He backpedaled as more came in… Mostly elites, and minors in a sea of green armor.

He knew what was growing on his mind before he relaxed. The idea of it all was going to bother him as he slowly began to fight.

Halius slowly started to think of what was occurring for now. He wanted to fight so he did, emptying his bolter in bursts until there was no ammo left in his weapon, discarding it finally.

He drew his bolter pistol and slowly started to take cover, more eager to fight now as his energy slowly started to get into his body.

"There is more of them… And I am running out of ammo." Halius stated, frowning more.

Halius frowned as more and more did he wish to get to relax. He had no real idea as he paused to try and think.

"They are pushing hard," Halius stated, frowning to himself once more.

He took a deep breath. Then he started to fire, more gunfire from their side as he thought of what was occurring.

Their fight was disturbing him. He pondered how long they would be in the field since he figured he was going to run out of ammo before he relaxed.

He was tired too shocked, too eager to think.

(With Cutter)

Cutter was silent. He looked over the fact that more than 20% of their forces had been set down on the ring and most of their forces.

Most of them? Most of them he had cut through and it was bothersome when it was all said and done, he had been distracted… And right now? He had a lot more left to do.

Such was the life of an officer and one he had yet to deal with… There was a lot more to deal with as he paused to think.

Perhaps the battle below was something else… Their missions were something to deal with… All of it was something to deal with… The idea of a problem like this was a lot different.

They had a lot more left to deal with. He knew better than to think of it all now when it was growing more and more hectic.

He did not know what the covenant wanted but he did know those men down there were going to die for a purpose… Not just because duty dictated so.

(With Halius and Master Chief)

Halius cut down a charging elite major, Blind Justice severing their body from its lower half as he let the more vicious and bloodthirsty covenant soldiers charge him.

Halius did not turn as the tide of covenant slowly began to turn off. They had wasted 30 soldiers and a handful of tanks for nothing, the other soldiers were not so well guarded.

Halius watched a series of explosions up in the air, a pair of Xiphon-Class fighters and a trio of Seraphs slammed into it, the wreckage of one alien craft nailing a hornet and slamming it into the ground.

He said nothing despite being upset… And watching Echo 419 emerge the smoke once more.

A pair of dead marines greeted him as he shook his head… He could curse but it was part of his duty to accept loss.

It did not hurt less, layers of training and gear blocking them out or not.

Rather than speak? He let Master Chief lead them as he questioned how many would die before they gained victory or what they had come to die for.

He did promise himself he would kill Thel for every single life taken.

"Do we have a foothold on this ring?" Halius asked Igaros as he slowly yet surely strode forward.

"The captain and most of the veteran soldiers landed on a plateau…. We are setting up a command outpost." Igaros stated before he turned to Halius. "You are getting tired of this… No?" Igaros stated as Halius frowned.

"I tire of seeing us die to the Xenos… We have lost enough and yet they do not stop throwing themselves at us just to kill one human." Halius stated before they joined the warthog.

Igaros knew that Halius was upset and still angry, Halius never bothered to hide how he felt from the others.

He was not at all thinking in terms of tactics… Not when he saw the covenant did not care much about tactics, only a body count.

Igaros looked over at Linda, the Spartan-II sniper had a similar caring effect on the Ultramarine Lieutenant. He knew Halius cared about Linda very much and it was clear their bond was special.

However? Halius was having his toll taken on him…. He had no desire to battle without the guarantee of victory, the idea these marines would make it.

He decided he would talk to the legion Chaplin. Halius had fought too long without someone trying to help him rather than backward.

He would continue to suffer so long as someone did not talk to him, to pull Halius from the pit the officer had fallen into at the end of the day.

'He needs an anchor.' Igaros stated mentally before he shook his head.

He had a lot more to try and help Halius with when this quest was over. Until then? The Ultramarine Sergeant put all the work into finding the Marines.

"Spartan Red Team here… Second group of marines secure. Lieutenant? The last group is in a rockslide caused by the destruction of the Gemini… Some of the naval personnel are probably with them." Jerome stated as Halius hummed.

"Thank you, Spartan… We still need to dispose of the cruiser." Halius stated, his tone much gruffer than usual.

"Leave that to the navy… We are heading to try and back up the Marines, mind helping us mop up?" Jerome asked in a tone that told Halius the Spartan-II was still going strong.

He tried his best not to let his contempt for the aliens or his dislike of the marines he could not save get in the way.

"They have deployed heavy armor… I would advise destroying it." Halius stated as they rushed forward.

He knew more and more that today was going to bother him more and more as he turned to the Master Chief.

"What is the likelihood of the covenant throwing their entire cruiser and its forces at the downed destroyer?" Halius questioned.

"Considering everything we have dealt with? High… They do not like losing." Cortana responded as Halius tilted his head.

"Then we move in… If they were smart? The covenant would flank the marines and trap them in the rocks while another group picked them off. If the Marines were smart? They would hunker time and pick off those groups." Halius stated as they rushed towards the waypoint.

Halius expected an army of hundreds of covenant soldiers… The cruiser above was still shooting but he could see fires erupt across its hull as missiles and lasgun fire found their mark.

If he had to guess? He expected the death knell of the cruiser to spark their last strike, their master siege work to end things.

He hoped he was wrong and most of the crew went down with the ship. He did not have the ammo to take down that number of warriors.

Halius seemed to be distracted for now. Each thought and each desire he had on his mind was focused on fighting. He would be happy to get back to the base, getting another bolter… He knew they would not grab it; the weapon was too heavy and it was a rocket launcher to others.

Perhaps he would understand what was growing on his mind when he got to base.

There was something else to consider, something heavily bothering him… If each warship had plenty of soldiers like this? Then the entire fleet carried an entire army which he suspected would outnumber them.

The idea they would retreat from such a superior position down here made him question if they had another trick up their sleeve or not.

It bothered him, an unpredictable enemy was the worst when it was all said and done now. The chaos within their tactics was palpable and it was going to confuse him until they made a move he could anticipate.

Halius was silent as he and the others slowly yet surely went into the rocks. He then guessed as to how to deal with things for now and he had been too distracted now inside and out.

He was silent for now, taking in the situation as he thought of what to do now.

The back of the cliff did indeed have one of the Halberd-Class destroyers impaled sideways into the rocks which seemed to have sent dozens of stones down the hill… He could see muzzle flashes from the destroyer… Marines had taken cover there and it seemed to be a good defensive position.

The problem? It seemed most of the covenant present which he could not entirely count. All of them were busy hunting through the stone.

Halius also noticed a squadron of wraiths opening fire, clearly trying to bombard the marines into a kill box and make sure to kill them… Or simply to bomb them to death.

Halius would have countered by taking cover inside the rock formations to force the infantry to hunt them and pick them off while using air support to pick each tank off.

"Spartan Jerome? There is a group of artillery tanks bombarding the marines… Can you neutralize them while we secure the area?" Halius questioned, curious as to how this would have been had they have been the defenders.

"Roger…. I can see most of the marines in the rocks." Halius heard as he hummed.

He was curious, unsure of himself, and uncertain of what he would do when this battle ended.

"I'll be up there," Linda said before starting to climb as Halius frowned.

He said nothing but he remained still even when the others moved past him. He was eager to fight and he supposed that they would fight even if he did not.

Halius raised his blade and charged into battle with the others, knowing that fighting right now mattered and his thoughts could have waited.

He was ready for what came next at least today.

(With Captain Cutter)

Cutter pondered what the battle below would be like. He had allowed Forge to send most of their bases below and to oversee ground battles.

He did not at all know what was to come… He did not wish to think of the campaign when it came down to that line of thinking.

He was a soldier, this campaign needed to be conducted on the merits of his own.

He sighed to himself, sighed once more as he cracked an eyebrow upwards, and then looked to the side, he had a lot more left to deal with as commander of the naval force here.

Part of him questioned what was to come. The covenant had another plan and he knew it, he knew they were put in an odd place when it came down to it all.

Something else needed to be dealt with and dealt with properly in a proper way now.

"We are missing something… He would not have retreated without a game plan." Cutter stated, looking at Forge.

"They came here for a reason; you saw what the last big treasure hunt had?" Forge asked as Serina hummed.

"Last I checked? The covenant did not have a small empire on that planet." Serina stated as Forge waved his hands.

"They have been here long enough to set up shop… They could have their prize and are just pretending to want to fight us." Forge stated as the Admiral turned.

Forge raised his hands in a show of mercy but it was clear the marine officer was trying to make a point and it was one he understood well. They damn well could have had a backup plan… But Cutter wanted to play his cards to his chest.

"Keep an eye on the surface and tell me if anything goes wrong," Cutter stated with a frown.

He was too aware of the fact something was going on but if they were going to commit to this? He would as well. It was the only damn way they could lure the enemy out.

(With Halius and Chief)

Halius slammed an elite major into the stone, cracking it before snapping their neck and turning in time to duck an elite swinging at him, slashing their throat with his knife.

"Midway? We require extraction soon." Halius stated, grabbing Blind Justice from the corpse of an elite ultra.

He turned to see another rushing him and went to strike them before a bullet went through their shields and another bullet brought them down.

Halius turned to see Linda atop the cliff face. He was beginning to believe she could not miss and he was being proven right. He knew that well enough when it came down to it all as of the time.

He was about to ask where the backup was when a series of objects detached from the cruiser and spun toward them. A series of them, 10 at least.

And each pod split open upon hitting the ground, spilling out 7 to 8 covenant soldiers each… Halius cursed before flames lit up the cruiser, lasguns, and missiles having cut through the shields.

The cruiser was dying, and he was aware of their next move, an all-out siege to kill as many soldiers as they could.

"We require orbital support; they're pushing us hard!" Halius ordered, knowing they would be in for a fight soon.

"Cannot spare any, lieutenant…. Hold them off." Halius heard as he cursed, realizing they would be pushing hard in a moment.

He was all for that… But he did know that they would be pushing hard on their position.

He almost wanted to curse, wanted to scream but it would not help, he knew better than to believe that such an idea was going to be helpful… There was a lot of chaos left to deal with, a lot more on the mind now, something which would only come as a response to them.

He knew they would not stop and he knew he would have to fight them one way or another. He wanted nothing more than to deal with this right here and now.

Halius sighed as he pondered more and more soldiers coming to the fight, he knew damn well this would be bothersome for now.

"They are going to overwhelm us if we do not get support," Halius stated before he shook his head and then sighed to himself.

"We are going to die… They will send every single soldier they have." Halius stated before he sighed, knowing that the worst of the fight was coming.

The next wave of covenant set in upon them as a round of mortars… Balls of massive plasma flew towards them.

He urged the marines into the rocks and checked his bolt pistol, his HUD reading 10 rounds.

"He is not wrong, every hanger on that cruiser is lighting up, if you do not take it out soon. They will launch everything they have." Cortana added as Halius sighed and shook his head.

Halius watched as the fighters peeled off to deal with the launching spirit-Class dropships detaching from the cruiser.

Halius drew Blind Justice just in time for a Thunderhawk to fly overhead, releasing a series of smart bombs that vaporized the charging covenant.

"Finally…" Halius stated, sheathing the weapon as the sky and ground shook.

A massive light flew from the nose of the Midway, spearing the cruiser as it slowly yet surely coasted toward the ground, explosions cratering the area.

"We are done?" Halius stated before Igaros gave a nod. "I need to get my bolter then we leave," Halius stated as a pelican slowly coasted towards the ground.

He was not at all stupid to believe this was over. He expected fiercer resistance all over the ring from Thel's army and navy.

The fact he was willing to expend an entire cruiser just to secure one area told him that there was nothing beyond fighting from here on out.

(5 minutes later)

Halius put his bolter on a rack and then cracked his neck… Linda and Chief who had joined them along with a group of marines sat in chairs far too large for all but the Spartans.

A trio of D-96 Albatross dropships was busy evacuating the rest of the crew… And the other ships had departed. Halius looked at the flaming remains of the cruiser and frowned in interest.

"One cruiser for a platoon of marines? What is so important the covenant would devote those resources to this?" Cortana asked as Halius frowned.

"That bothers me," Halius stated, tapping a button to make the holographic emitter emerge. "The covenant controlled the air around the ring and the orbit… To retreat so readily disturbs me. It implies they wanted us to punch through their defenses." Halius stated, frowning to himself before resting his hands upon his side.

He knew better, knew a lot of different details went into trying to understand how this all went back and forth now.

"This entire thing bothers me… If the covenant did not want us here? They would have put up a stronger fight." Halius stated, walking back and forth.

"You think they wanted us to land?" Linda asked as Halius glanced at the sniper.

"I think the coming battles will be far harder than those leading here… We are not the only soldiers on this ring, nor do we know what they want with it… Each fact the covenant knows that we do not is a piece of strategy to worry about." Halius stated with his voice colder.

"We need to talk to Captain Titus," Suriel stated as Halius nodded.

"Correct… Spartan? What do you believe?" Halius asked as he turned.

Chief fell silent before he looked at the Ultramarine. The two exchanged a look, Halius took a deep breath, his armor's respirator filling the air.

"The Spartans have fought the covenant for years… You and the soldiers aboard this craft know more than I do… I value even the smallest tidbit on the covenant. Captain Titus will be more convinced if he hears from soldiers who have fought the covenant longer than we have." Halius stated, his tone softer, more respectful.

Chief looked to Linda who nodded. They had fought the covenant for 7 years, and so had Johnson according to intel.

"Covenant do not retreat without a reason… They want something here and would rather get it than fight us." Linda stated as she glanced at Chief. "Chief? We need intel… Didn't Cortana shoot down one of the covenant cruisers before we left?" Linda questioned; head tilted.

"The Truth and Reconciliation? Yes…. It was one of the few ships I managed to down…" Cortana stated before he sighed to himself.

He had a lot more to deal with… More to do now when it came down to it.

"We can make up a plan. We get back to base, discuss it with the other officers, and then prepare for another move." Halius stated before he sighed to himself, rubbing at his skull.

He knew damn more and more with each second that this was going to be a very damn long plan.

(Lightyears away, planet Reach)

Halsey glanced at Anderson. The man had come barging in with a squadron of ONI security and she? She had locked herself away in her lab.

"Halsey!" Anderson screamed in anger, the man's face as if he had decided to become a chameleon.

Halsey was aware of what the man wanted. Her research, she was not stupid for now and she knew what was occurring for now.

Halsey was not stupid. She knew what came next, she knew what was going to occur, and not once would she beg, plead, or even push slightly toward it all.

Now? Now at the end of the day would she sigh and almost question what ONI wanted from such a bullheaded fool when it came to army plans?

Stanforth… Stanforth knew better, Stanforth was preparing to lead a small group to John and the others.

Anderson would have had to have gone behind his back. There was no way he would have allowed them to raid her lab, not without some telling.

"Kalmiya? Have you already alerted the Admiral?" Halsey asked, continuing to work.

She knew what the man wanted. Only a fool would not and she? She was far from stupid, arrogant, perhaps… But no fool.

"Yes, doctor… But she is busy…. The colonel has waited 6 months more than I suspected to come for Spartan materials and documents." The AI stated, her image flickering as the AI worked.

Halsey snorted. Anderson did not simply want the files on that, she knew that and she knew better than to believe that.

He also wanted the files on the Astartes, the Ultramarines, and Linda. The idea that Halsey had managed to gather knowledge upon the supersoldiers enraged the man and he was not at all eager to let such knowledge out of his grasp.

"Prepare the elevator…. We must continue this in the other lab." Halsey stated, pressing a button.

The door that slammed shut behind her was 200 meters of Titanium-A, designed to keep out almost anything up to a nuclear bomb strike.

It would hold Anderson, by the time he managed to scream his head off? Stanforth will have heard and would take care of the colonel for her.

(With Halius)

The Thunderhawk slowly approached the plateau… And gave Halius an idea of what was growing on the mind.

Trenches were forming, dozens of them… Manned by the Krieg. Gun emplacements and automated turrets were busy being placed within them as Halius also noted the 25 Imperial Fists aiding them.

There were dozens of bodies… Mostly covenant but also Cadian shock troopers and what he believed were ODSTs from the UNSC.

He counted 50 of each human soldier dead in the battle. Halius shook his head and cursed as they approached the top of the area.

Halius spotted tents, buildings shipped from the Spirit of Fire, gun emplacements atop the hill, guardsmen, and hundreds of UNSC marines all working along with 200 Ultramarines milling around.

There was a sea of green and of the Imperium grey, buildings of different shapes and sizes… He could tell they had fortified this area too well.

Perhaps to him? He had no such clue when it came down to it.

Nothing about it all had been surprising that this hill was fortified into something that could hold off an army, there was no shortage of soldiers for their army.

The problem was he also knew this area could be easily besieged and he had no idea as he paused to think of what was growing for now.

He had a lot more to deal with as he cracked his fingers and then thought of what was growing on his mind once more.

There was a lot more to try and deal with for now as he cracked his knuckles and prepared for another mission.

"Igaros? Tell Captain Titus of what we discussed… Master Chief? I wish to speak about this cruiser and what we are dealing with… This cruiser sounds vital." Halius ordered as he stepped down.

He knew what was going on… Knew what to say and do. They had a mission; he would handle it.

"You may tell me yourself." They heard a tent flapping open was heard.

"We found a way to acquire more intelligence on the covenant and their battle plans," Halius stated, turning. "We wish to find this cruiser, board it… And find out what the covenant wants." Halius added, looking to Master Chief.

Both were to deal with for now as he thought of what was growing on his mind before he sighed and then thought of what was growing on his mind.

He was all too much to deal with for now… Halius looked at his friend as did Titus while the clanking of footsteps was heard.

"We cannot allow them to find out whatever they are after. If we leave them to deal with other issues? We risk letting them get closer to their goal while we flounder around, Captain." Suriel stated, gaining a glance from both Halius and Titus.

"We have news the Orks have also landed on the ring… The more ships we shoot down? The more Orks seem to arrive. That and the Banished appear to have made their move as well." Halius heard as he frowned.

"Atriox…" Halius stated before he cursed and shook his head. "I still recommend we pursue this warship, captain… If we cannot reach the warship? We stand little chance and I would prefer we know what we stand against." Halius stated as Titus nodded.

"Do you have a plan?" Titus asked as Halius looked over at Chief.

The Spartan-II nodded as Cortana spoke up.

"We were just finalizing a plan… But the Lieutenant would like to ask your permission before we deploy." Cortana added before Halius frowned.

He was silent at the end of the time being. He knew his plan was bold but he did wish to execute it and sighed all the same.

He was glad for his helmet as it hid his hesitation from Titus. He knew the man was still above him in terms of experience and had no desire to pick a fight.

He was too curious as to it all now. He did have an idea but he did wish to make sure that idea was allowed before carrying it out as he thought of what was growing for now.

He had a lot more to grasp about tactics, however… Something he had to grasp when it came to plans and how to execute them.

He had a lot more to deal with and a lot of different things going on when it came to that sort of ending, knowing damn well what would come and knowing how much he had to try and understand at the end of the day.

Too much had to end now and for good at the time being, all too much.

Halius turned to look at Chief before Titus spoke up, clearing his throat as he paused to think.

"Captain Cato has decided to deal with the Orks and covenant forces to the north, he and I will be sharing leadership of the Imperium forces along with General Leve…" Titus stated as Halius hummed. "I will place 25 of our brothers in your care," Titus stated before the Ultramarine blinked.

"For the mission?" Halius asked himself.

"For the duration of our campaign… You will have my permission and resources…. But I ask you to tell me before you disembark." Titus stated as Halius nodded.

"I had no intention of not," Halius stated as Titus nodded before he went to leave. "You do not wish to hear our plan?" Halius questioned, his voice shocked as if he was struck by lightning.

"I must coordinate and lead most of our company… If you can get that information? Do it. I will wait until then, if not. Then stay here and ensure I still have our full company." Titus stated before he went to leave.

Halius crossed his arms as the Ultramarine Captain left. it seemed unreal to him until he remembered as Lieutenant. He was asked to be the second in command of their company.

That and it seemed the other Lieutenant within their company was also busy.

"Seems we got a job to do." Igaros said as Halius glared at him. "I will go brief the squad. Why did you request ODSTs and Scions?" Igaros stated before he thought of what was growing on his mind.

"Because we are not going in yet… And it is not a small plan. It is why I planned to tell Captain Titus." Halius stated before he turned to Master Chief. "Are you sure we can get close enough to deploy without needing more men?" Halius questioned as Chief nodded.

"I trust her." Master Chief responded before the Ultramarine nodded.

"Then let us see if we can finalize this plan," Halius added, crossing his arms, and then shaking his head. "I begin to question if we will be able to pull this off." Halius put in as they walked.

"It will work," Linda stated as Halius paused.

"It is more getting the forces for the plan in question than the plan itself I lack confidence in," Halius added.

Author Notes

Phew. Another chapter is done! A few things!

I plan for this battle to be one of the biggest of the war.

I plan to reintroduce the Iron Hands and Blood Angels. Changed my mind, wanted to keep them dead but…

This arc will be somewhat following the canon of the game. The next chapter will be 900-6500 words and show the raid on the Truth and Reconciliation. Until the 2-10 months. Lighting Wolf out!
