Merlin wakes up and groans only to see nothing around him but complete and total darkness Merlin groans once more and rubbed his head in pain "where am I...where is..." Merlin looked around to see Over-blot Gem standing with her back turned towards him
"Gem" Merlin said as he tried to reach for her only to be sucked into the ground like quick sand Merlin found himself unable to struggle or move from the pit
Merlin caught a glimpse of what Over-blot Gem was looking at and saw Gem when she was just a little girl it made him realize it was the first time she met him
Another memory came up where little Gem was running around like a chicken with her head cut off "what a wild and rambunctious girl" an old woman said in disgust
"That girl doesn't even compare to her well mannered twin sister" another lady said little Gem heard them say this and she bit her bottom lip trying not to cry her eyes out
"it was when I turned 12 years old that I started to realize that people favored my twin sister than normal people would" Over-blot Gem said as Merlin watched from behind her
"Even when I was trying so hard to be nice people would say cruel things about me and always comparing me to my sister Crystal" Over-blot Gem said slumping her shoulders
"That girl...she'll never be as good as her sister Crystal she's trying to act like a princess when she's Nothing more than a jealous pawn" an old man said
"Hey...watch your mouth or you'll regret it" Ari said as she picked up little Gem and carried her as Little Gem cried "people would judge a book by it's cover before it was even read" Over-blot Gem said
Gem and Crystal were playing together "hey Crystal come play with us" some kids said "I'm busy" Crystal said "what about me" Gem said as the other kids looked at her in disgust...
"Ew no way no one wants to play with you...look alike" The kids said making Gem tear up in sadness this angered Crystal and she slammed her book shut startling the other kids
"You disrespectful brats are asking for trouble don't you dare approach me or my sister again or you'll be sorry" Crystal snapped making the kids run away
"Come to think of it Crystal along with my family were the only ones who actually told people off just for my sake...but even then...I still feel inferior to my own twin..." Overblot Gem said sadly
Merlin chose this time to jump out of the hole and hug Gem from behind "you shouldn't have to feel inferior to your own sister...your family loves you, I love you" Merlin said
Gem started shaking Merlin turned Gem around to face him as she had tears streaming down her face "look at me Gem" Merlin said lifting her chin up so he could look her in the eyes
"You are your own person, you shouldn't have to change for anyone not even for me...if anyone says otherwise than ignore them you listen to what you think is true" Merlin said holding her gently
"In my personal opinion..." Merlin said as he leaned in closer to whisper in Over-blot Gem's ear "you are perfect just the way you are...and that's the truth" Merlin said
The darkness dissipates around them...
Merlin wakes up to find Gem still unconscious against his chest "welcome back" Crystal said as Merlin gently caressed Gem's hair but then felt her forehead "she's running a fever" Merlin said "oye this one is always so fragile" Rias said with a sigh
"How would you guys like to find out where we come from" Ashlin said as she held up a transport mirror so they could go back to Twisted Wonderland
