Wasn't happy with my previous chapter 13: so here is the rewrite that I am happy with.
An Hour & a Half Later:
Trunks got Lily cleaned, changed into a pullup because the rest of her undies were buried in the van. He explained to her that she and Teddy were going with Aunt Chi-Chi and Vego; they'd be back with him in their new home later.
Lily was confused and just didn't understand. But Trunks promised her, she and Teddy would see him, Knickers, Kishu, and everybody else later on—that same day; so, she didn't fuss or anything.
Before Chi-Chi left with the youngest three, Trunks explained to her that Lily was autistic and everything else she suffered with, so she'd know what was going on.
The first thing Chi-Chi did, was strap the kids in: she already had Vego and Chiulma's car seats in the back of her car. The second thing she did was drive the twenty minutes to her and Goku's home to change into the appropriate outfit for a park. There, she made sandwiches, grabbed granola bars, celery, carrots, apple slices, orange slices, grapes, and some juice boxes for a small picnic for lunch.
After all that was done, Chi-Chi got Vego and Lily in their car seats with Teddy in between them—tightly strapped in so she couldn't move around too much.
Then it was off to the park.
Chi-Chi knew of a park halfway between her home and Trunks's new home: it's about ten minutes by vehicle to each house. She chose this particular park because instead of woodchips, it was surrounded by sand; she hoped Lily would like the texture.
Now:
"Can we go play now?" Teddy asked as soon as they were all out of the car.
"In a minute; we go together. I promised your dad I'd watch you—and watch you, I shall. Besides—I know for a fact you're not allowed to cross a sidewalk on your own, let alone the road. You are just one of the cutest little girls I have ever seen. Oohh—I just love your little ears." Chi-Chi answered and then cooed, picking Lily up along with the picnic basket.
"Now—if you want to play on all the slides and everything: Teddy you take my hand, and Vego, you take Teddy's hand." Chi-Chi instructed, holding her free hand to Teddy while Lily clung to her shoulders so she wouldn't fall.
"Why does your mom talk like Yoda?" Teddy asked Vego in a whisper after taking his hand.
"I don't know. I guess she's just weird like that. The last time we came to visit, Dad showed Grandpa and Grandma something called "Star Wars." It's some weird movie." Vego whispered back.
"Here we go." Chi-Chi stated, setting the basket on a picnic table before setting Lily on her feet.
"Now, can we go play, Grandma?" Vego impatiently asked, looking at Chi-Chi.
"Slow your roll. When I call you over to eat, what do you do?" Chi-Chi asked, looking at Vego and Teddy.
"Come over." Teddy and Vego answered while Lily stood there, fingers in her mouth.
"When? How many times do I have to call you over? Twice? Three times?" Chi-Chi sternly asked, looking at the kids.
"The first time you call." Teddy answered.
"Because otherwise our butts will be on the wall, and we won't be able to come back to the park." Vego added, looking at a very red Chi-Chi.
"Go play." Chi-Chi muttered, holding her head in her hands.
"Come on, Lily; let's go play!" Teddy happily exclaimed, holding her hand out to Lily.
Lily slowly and hesitantly took Teddy's hand and let her drag her to the playground. At the same time, Chi-Chi sat and watched them.
It never crossed Chi-Chi's mind that Lily was too small to play on the playground. If it weren't for Teddy and Vego helping her, they would've had to go somewhere else.
Vego would climb up the steps first, and Teddy would pick Lily up and set her on the steps. Vego went first to make sure Lily didn't fall backward.
Once she was on that first step, Lily could get up the rest of the steps almost all by herself.
And they were off:
Running across the bridges Crawling through tunnels Going down slides—together: Lily in front, Vego in the middle, and Teddy in back Then it was back to the steps to start all over again
Because she knows how Bulma is—but more for Trunks's sake, Chi-Chi made sure to get plenty of pictures.
After about forty-five minutes or so, Chi-Chi started to notice Lily slowing down; she figured it was a good time for lunch.
"Teddy, Vego, Lily; lunch time! Come on over!" Chi-Chi called, watching the kids; they were trying to help Lily up the steps again.
Teddy had just picked Lily up when Chi-Chi called.
"We'd better get over there before Grandma has a cow. Maybe she'll let us play again if we eat good." Vego told the girls, jumping off the steps.
"How's it going?" Bulma asked, walking over, shocking Chi-Chi a little.
"What are you doing here?" Chi-Chi asked, looking at Bulma.
"Oh, you know… Trunks doesn't want my help setting things up. So, I figured I'd come help you. I saw your car when searching the parks." Bulma answered.
"Grandma!" Teddy happily cried, carrying Lily around the stomach.
"What are you doing?" Bulma asked as she and Chi-Chi watched Teddy carry Lily.
"Lily keeps falling over—so, I picked her up. Was that wrong? I'm sorry." Teddy answered and then quickly apologized after asking, concerned.
"No, it's fine. As long as you're not hurting her, you're fine." Bulma informed Teddy with a soft smile.
"I thought you were helping Dad pack things up and move them out." Vego told Bulma.
"I was. And we got everything packed up; the guys are taking everything to where you'll be staying. Come here, Pumpkin." Bulma answered before taking Lily from Teddy.
"I could've taken her the rest of the way; Lily's light enough for me to carry around." Teddy told Bulma, huffing a little.
"I know, Dear. But I need to look at her knees and make sure they're not swollen." Bulma replied with a smile.
Teddy was happy not to be the baby anymore—and everyone knew it. They were more or less shocked that she wanted to help with Lily as much as she did.
"Cause of her arfritis? I thought "S," said it wasn't arfritis; I thought she said it was something else." Teddy innocently asked before telling Bulma what she remembered.
"I suppose this "S" would know—them both being Nekodian and all. But I'd still like to check even if she doesn't have arthritis." Bulma calmly replied.
"You didn't find anything, did you?" Vego asked, looking at Bulma.
"Hmm? What do you mean?" Bulma asked, looking at her grandson.
"About Mom and her new boyfriend. You didn't find anything; she made sure to take anything and everything that mentioned him. She said she'd figure one of you—or either Grandpa Vegeta or Grandpa Goku would go snooping." Vego told Bulma and Chi-Chi.
"When did she say this?" Bulma asked, watching as Chi-Chi helped him onto the picnic table's seat.
"Before she left with Chiulma. I was up, using the bathroom because I really, really had to go. Mom doesn't love me." Vego answered.
"Oh, don't say that…" "Please, don't. I know she hates me; she says it enough when she doesn't think anybody's listening. She said if I were better behaved and well-mannered like Chiulma, maybe she could handle me. However, I only listen to Dad—who Mom thinks doesn't like Chiulma because he never spends any time with her. But the truth about that is that Mom always takes her from him when he tried. Ever since Aunt Tights introduced her to those people, Mom's been different. She likes something called Wine Coolers and for some reason she likes picking weeds. Actually, her new boyfriend got her into picking weeds. Dad was very angry when he found out a few nights ago. I don't know why because they're just weeds, but I don't know. He said he was going to tell Grandma and Grandpa—and then Mom got really angry and started throwing things." Bulma and Chi-Chi started but were interrupted by Vego, shocking them.
"Did your dad ever pick weeds?" Chi-Chi asked, looking at Vego.
"For a little bit. But he said he didn't like how it made him feel, so he stopped." Vego answered as Bulma checked Lily's knees; she was so angry right now that she had to distract herself.
"Gamma, mad?" Lily softly and nervously asked as Bulma felt around her knees.
"Not at you. And it's nothing for you to worry about." Bulma calmly told Lily.
"Ok. Why don't we just eat and then you can go play while Grandma and I talk." Chi-Chi insisted, helping Teddy onto the bench.
"Yeah; I'm starving!" Teddy excitedly exclaimed, ready to talk about something else.
Chi-Chi had a ham sandwich with cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes with a raisin granola bar, some apples, and a soda.
Teddy had two peanut butter and strawberry jelly sandwiches, two chocolate chip granola bars, apple slices, and a juice box.
Vego had a ham sandwich with cheese, a turkey sandwich with cheese, a chicken sandwich with cheese, two chocolate chip granola bars, apple slices, and a juice box.
Lily had half a turkey sandwich with cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes with a peanut butter chip, chocolate chip granola bar, orange slices, and a juice box.
Bulma had the other half of Lily's sandwich, a s'mores granola bar, orange slices, and a soda.
Lily wasn't all that hungry and handed Bulma the other half of her sandwich when Lily saw she didn't have her own. Lily held the sandwich out to Bulma in both hands until Bulma took it.
Half an Hour Later:
"His name is Chip—Mom's boyfriend." Vego told Bulma and Chi-Chi before he and the girls went back to play.
Teddy was all over the diggers. Vego was running all over the play area. Lily seemed content just to sit and draw in the sand.
"Chip, huh? I wonder if Chip has a last name…" Bulma sighed.
"I don't know… I don't think Vego knows either. I can't believe Bulla's doing all this; she was always a good little girl. You really did raise her right. This isn't your fault. Your sister on the other hand…" Chi-Chi started, frustrated.
"Oh, trust me; I hear you. Apparently, her father and I were too strict and controlling…" Bulma sighed.
"Well—you two do like to be in control of certain things, but your kids weren't one of them; they were always so well behaved. As long as they behaved and were polite—especially in public, you didn't care what they did. Vegeta may have been strict with Trunks, but he sure as hell wasn't with Bulla; she had him wrapped her little fingers. You were the same way—but with Trunks. If she wants strict, she should've come to live with me. And before I forget… Please don't be offended, but I've noticed when Vego isn't around Bulla or Chiulma, he behaves a hell of a lot better." Chi-Chi replied and then stated with a conflicted smile.
"Yeah… Yeah, I've noticed that as well; I'm not offended. But anyway… How have Vego and the girls been?" Bulma sighed, replied, and then changed the subject.
"They've been good—very well behaved. Both Teddy and Vego helped Lily up onto the play equipment, and they all ran around. I took pictures; I'll make you and Trunks copies." Chi-Chi answered and then informed Bulma.
"Thanks; that means a lot. You have no idea. And I'm sure Trunks will be thrilled about having pictures; he really doesn't have any—just the ones we took while in North City. How did/is Lily doing?" Bulma replied and then asked.
"She's been good. Quiet—but good. She's a sweet little thing. But you can definitely tell she's been abused. I feel so terrible; I can't imagine how Trunks must feel. But I haven't had any issues with her—or Teddy; they've both been nothing but polite and respectful. She's two?" Chi-Chi answered with a soft smile before asking.
"That's good. Yes, she is. Lily's one of the sweetest little girls I've ever met. I wish I could say she's one of the happiest little girls I've ever met—but unfortunately, I can't. Although, I think she's getting there. No, she's three; she turned three, three days ago. And, oh, God no; I can't even fathom how Trunks feels other than he's beating himself up. But he'll get over it; he has her now—and that's all that matters." Bulma replied with a soft smile.
"Three? No… But she's so tiny." Chi-Chi stated, shocked.
"Yeah, I know. But she's three." "What the hell?!" Bulma answered with a smile; she was going to say something else when she saw some kid push Lily down—and then Teddy and Vego pushed the other kid down.
However, what truly pissed Bulma and Chi-Chi off, was when this kid's mother grabbed and threw Lily over her shoulder. This woman then grabbed Teddy and Vego by the arms and started dragging them around.
Lily was screaming the entire time.
"Will you shut the fuck up already?! If you want to scream and cry, I'll give you something to scream and cry about." The lady snapped at Lily.
"Hey! Just what the hell do you think you're doing?!" Trunks and Goten yelled, showing up out of nowhere before Bulma and Chi-Chi could say anything.
"Trunks Briefs? Goten Son?" The woman asked, shocked, watching Trunks and Goten walk over.
"Yeah. Let go of our kids." Trunks demanded, glaring daggers at the woman.
"You're kids? I thought you only had two sons. Where's Mai? And you? I didn't know you had kids at all." The woman asked, looking at Trunks and Goten.
"Yes, our kids: my daughters and Goten's son. Not that it's any of your business, but Mai's dead: she killed herself. Yes, I also have two sons: they're my daughters' older brothers. Now, let my older daughter and Goten's son go, and carefully set my younger daughter down. Do NOT just throw or drop her." Trunks told the woman before demanding, not bothering with pleasantries.
The woman did what Trunks told her and let Teddy and Vego go before slowly setting Lily on the ground—after roughly yanking and flipping her off her shoulder.
"Daddy!" Lily and Teddy screamed, running over to Trunks while Vego went to Goten.
"Why did you lay your hands on children that aren't yours in the first damn place?" Goten demanded as Trunks lifted Lily into his arms while Teddy stood next to him; she refused to be held.
"They pushed my son down; they needed to be punished. So, as his mother, I did the only right thing to do, defended him, and punished the culprits. Don't either of you remember me? It's Hilly Una. Goten: we went to school together. You introduced me to Trunks; we used to hang out." Hilly answered with a proud smile before explaining, trying to get them to understand.
"Teddy, wait. I don't give a damn about who you are; you don't lay your hands on my, his, or any other people's children. If you have an issue with someone else's child, you go to their parent, guardian, or whoever is watching them at the moment. If another adult laid a single finger on your son, you'd most likely be raising holy hell. Now, Teddy; you may speak." Trunks told Hilly off before looking at Teddy.
"That lady's son was being mean and picking on Lily—mainly her ears and tail. Yes, Vego and I pushed him down, but only because he pushed Lily over and kicked sand in her face first." Teddy answered, explaining what happened and why they did what they did.
"That's a lie; she's lying. My son did no such thing!" Hilly snapped.
"Don't call my daughter a liar. She may be a little troublemaker, but she would never lie about something like that! Not to mention, Lily's face and hair are covered in sand." Trunks snapped, scaring Hilly a little.
"As far as you know; one of them could've done it." Hilly stated, defending her son.
"She's not lying, Mom: I did push the freaky cat-girl down, and all that." The boy admitted.
"Hush! I'm trying to get you out of this." Hilly hissed.
"Well, there you go. You and your son owe our children an apology." Goten stated, looking at Hilly.
"The fuck we do! What happened to you two?! You used to be so cool; I never pictured either of you ever wanting children! If anything, you owe us an apology for creating little monsters! I mean, at least your boys are somewhat normal—aside from being Saiyans or whatever the fuck you are. Wait—half breeds. And you, I can't believe you slept with Bulla—that fucking slut. And you… You're raising a tomboy instead of a little girl—and an alien freak! At least cut her ears and tail off so she can look normal!" Hilly insultingly yelled, pissing Trunks and Goten off; however, Trunks was able to remain calm.
"Ok… Here's the deal: you apologize, or I call the cops for child abuse of three children who do not belong to you." Trunks dangerously warned, dead serious; this scared Hilly—but she wasn't backing down.
"If you think I'm going to that abomination, you're crazier than I thought. She's most likely a mistake that should've been aborted." Hilly retorted, ready for one of them to attack her so she could call the police on them.
"Ok, Ms. Una; that's enough. Come with us." An officer calmly told Hilly, standing next to her.
"Hey! Get away from him! Don't you dare lay your filthy hands off him!" Hilly yelled, becoming belligerent.
"Come with me, Son." The other officer calmly told the boy.
"Hey! Get back here! Where are you taking him?! Hey! Answer me, Pig!" Hilly screamed, kicking the officer.
"Ms. Una—we've warned you multiple times now. This is your eighth report of child abuse—towards children that do not belong to you—and the third with proof. We are taking the boy to his paternal grandparents, who are going for full custody—and will most likely get it. Now, come on. Oh, and we have a brand-new judge. Have a nice day." The officer answered Hilly before bowing to Trunks and the others.
"Damn you all! You damn bitches! How dare you call the police on me?!" Hilly screamed, struggling against the officer.
"We didn't call anyone. But she's lucky and should be thanking whoever did; I would've knocked her ass into next Tuesday." Bulma stated, arms folded across her chest.
"I called." Knickers informed, walking over with Kishu.
"Why you, little bastard?! You're dead!" Hilly yelled, pulling a dagger from her boot after biting the officer; she went for Knickers.
"Knick-Knick." Lily whined, pushing away from Trunks to go to Knickers; she stumbled and fell in front of him.
"Two for the price of one! What a deal?!" Hilly yelled, arm in the air. However, she stopped in shock when a bright purple light appeared around Lily.
"No hurt my Knick-Knick!" Lily screamed, causing the purple light to form into a small energy ball, sending it at Hilly, pushing her backward.
When the dust cleared, the officer, along with another officer, cuffed Hilly, bagged the dagger and took her away. At the same time, a third officer walked over to Trunks.
"This is for you." The third officer told Trunks before quickly leaving.
All the police in the area—and surrounding areas knew the Briefs and Son families; they knew they were good people. However, that was one of the scariest things they've ever seen because it came from a tiny little girl.
"What's going on?!" Vegeta demanded, flying over with Goku, Gohan, Piccolo, and the others.
"What is that?" Goku asked, on guard, watching a shrinking purple barrier until all that was left was Lily, uncontrollably shaking.
"What is that?" Yamcha asked, watching Lily.
"Lily? Lily, Baby?" Trunks asked, slowly walking over to Lily before kneeling next to her.
"That's Lily; she's Trunks's youngest child. She's a half Saiyan and half Nekodian little girl, not a "that." Got it?" Bulma answered, narrowing her eyes; she did not like people calling Lily "that."
"Sorry. I've just never seen a person with cat ears—except Beerus." Yamcha apologized.
"Yes, but Beerus is a male god, not a little non-goddess little girl." Bulma shot back.
"I'm sorry, ok?" Yamcha apologized, throwing his arms in the air.
"Lily?" Trunks gently asked, slowly placing his hand on her shoulder; she jumped a little and nearly fell on her butt.
"Daddy?" Lily softly asked, confused, looking around.
"Come here." Trunks sighed, lifting a very shaky Lily into his arms.
"No hurt my Knick-Knick…" Lily weakly mumbled.
"Nope; that lady didn't hurt Knickers. I think you protected him somehow." Trunks told Lily, rubbing her back, shocking everyone.
"I tect my Knick-Knick?" Lily softly asked, barely awake.
"I think you did." Trunks told Lily with a soft smile as she fell asleep.
"What was that? What do you mean she protected Knickers?" Vegeta demanded, watching Trunks.
"Is she ok?" Bulma asked, concerned.
"Why does she call Knickers her Knick-Knick?" Kishu and Teddy asked, confused.
"She's fine; she's just fell asleep. The rest is unknown." Trunks replied, answering what he could.
"Do you think S would know?" Knickers asked, watching Trunks, who just shrugged.
Lily's Family & Friends,
Does this question have to do with a small but powerful ball of colorful energy?
S.
"What do you know?" Vegeta demanded.
Lily's Family & Friends,
Calm down.
I get enough of that snappy attitude from my Nana.
I don't need it from you or anyone else as well.
I will not respond to that.
S.
"Good going, Dad. S—are you still there? I'm sorry about him; he's kind of set in his ways—and doesn't trust people he doesn't know." Trunks asked and explained.
Lily's Family & Friends,
Yes, I'm still here.
I kind of figured that;
I just get enough of it at home.
& what of you, Mr. Lily's Dad?
You do not know me.
You do not trust me, right?
S.
"If it weren't for Lily and how she reacts to just your name, I don't know if I would trust you whatsoever. However, you've been a great help so far—and she seems to love you. Plus, you kept her safe. I don't mean to be rude or anything, but is there any way we could meet in person? This is a little awkward." Trunks replied before asking, watching words appear.
Mr. Lily's Dad,
That's sweet of you.
Lily is such a sweet little girl.
& I don't know—protecting her…
I guess it's just something I feel I have to do for whatever reason.
Ever since she was born.
It's weird, I know.
But she is just a child;
Her life means far more than mine.
As for meeting in person…
Maybe someday.
For now, I'm not allowed.
Between my Nana & your green slug friend,
Right now, I cannot.
It's amazing I can even leave my house as is.
But anyway,
You want answers.
So, I need answers.
What color was the energy?
How is Lily?
S.
"Lily's sleeping—and shaking—still. Otherwise she's fine. The energy was a bright purple light." Trunks answered.
Mr. Lily's Dad,
Bright purple light?
Are you sure?
It wasn't like a dark blue or something?
S.
"Yes, we're sure. Bright purple light." Trunks replied.
"She was right in front of me; I saw it. It was kind of a lighter purple—almost pink." Knickers added.
Lily's Family & Friends,
Well—that's interesting.
I—will have to look into that.
When I have that figured out, I'll let you know.
Oh, & Lily's older sister & 2nd older brother,
When Lily talks, she doesn't quite grasp the correct ways of saying something.
When she was saying "My Knick-Knick," what she meant was "My brother."
She knows what brother & sister mean, but she, for whatever reason, doesn't say brother or sister.
& when she gets upset because someone hurts someone she loves & cares about, she will freak out & scream what she needs to say.
In this case, it happened to be her oldest brother.
What I can tell you about that blast of energy is that she needs to be careful & not use it unless she absolutely has to.
No, I'm not saying that her using it a little bit ago wasn't necessary.
What I'm saying is that she's still so small—& not that strong yet.
That little blast takes up a lot of energy for someone so small.
If you wish, you can work on it with her.
Yawwwn…
Sorry.
I didn't get much sleep last night.
The color of the blast—that's what I'm confused about.
S.
"Is your name Sakura by any chance?" Bulma asked before anyone could say anything.
Mrs. Lily's Grandma,
No, it's not.
Close, but no.
7 left.
S.
"You lie! Lily calls you "Aunty Sock-Ra." So therefore, your name has to be "Sakura." You swore tell us if we got your name correct! So, fess up, Sakura!" Vegeta snapped.
Mr. Lily's Grandfather,
I resent that—being called a liar.
I promise you; I am not lying to you.
My name is not Sakura.
It is close but not correct.
S.
"Dad, stop before you anger her enough, she stops coming around. Or before she decides not to visit Lily. It's clear she's important to Lily. And Lily's important to her. Now—S: if your name isn't "Sakura," is it "Sakira?" You said Sakura was close, but not it. I don't know many other names close to that, other than Sakurako." Trunks scolded his father before asking S.
Mr. Lily's Dad,
Well—
I certainly didn't expect that.
There are actually a few names close to "Sakura."
Yes, Sakurako is one, but that is not my name.
Sakiya is another.
Shakira.
Umm…
Hahaha.
Sorry.
Yes, my name is Sakira.
I suppose if I didn't want you to guess correctly, I shouldn't have said if it was close or not.
Knock. Knock. Knock. Knock.
Yeah?!
What are you doing in there?!
Nothing much, Nana.
Just talking—to myself—like normal!
Well, knock that off!
Why is your door locked?
Do you have a boy in there?
What?
Wahh!
Ow…
No, Nana, I don't have a boy in here!
I'm the only one in here!
You know—if I didn't know you better, I'd have to ask if you were lying.
Which is why I've arranged for you to meet someone.
Nana…
No, I will not go out & talk to some random, strange guy!
You don't know what kind of creeps are out there!
Of course, I know.
That's why he'll be here at 8:00 sharp.
NANNA!
Stop your bellyaching.
You need to get laid & produce some kids.
What is the problem?
Never mind.
We're not going to have this discussion again.
We have a bigger issue.
Oh, & what is that?
Didn't you feel that?
Feel what?
Never mind.
Come on; I have a new dress & makeup for you.
Nooo…
Now, knock it off.
You'd better be down here in 5 minutes.
Or what?
You'll send your slug friend?
Excuse me?!
Nothing, Nana.
Kill me now…
Shit!
Why do I always forget that's on?
Damnit!
Ahh! My freaking toe!
Bye. Talk later…
S.
"She's an interesting character." Bulma stated.
"How the hell can someone be so damn absentminded?" Vegeta asked in disbelief.
"Have you met," "Goku?" "my husband?" "my father?" Everyone asked, looking at Vegeta.
"With Sakira, it's partially forgetfulness and partially because I think she's lonely. The only time she's allowed to leave her yard is to go grocery shopping or something along those lines. Her grandmother doesn't want her having friends for some reason. And as you just read, her grandmother really wants her with a guy—and not just any guy; she wants her with someone she chooses for her. Nani is the type that has to be in control—and is worse than Bulma and Chi-Chi combined. Well—I suppose I should head out." Piccolo explained before saying.
"Where are you going?" Yamcha and Tien asked, confused.
"I have to keep an eye on my charge to make sure she's safe—and whoever that guy is doesn't overstep any boundaries. See ya." Piccolo answered before leaving.
"Now what? Did you finish getting everything set up?" Bulma asked, watching Trunks and Goten.
"Pretty much; we have everything set up so that when everything needs to be placed in their proper places, the kids won't be under foot. We also made a discovery out back—in between the second and third acre. Because of that, I was able to get an extra acre." Trunks answered.
"And what is that?" Bulma asked, watching her son.
"A smaller, three-bedroom house with a living room, kitchen/dining room, full bathroom, basement, crawlspace attic, and a garage. The people who sold me the land said they put it in the information, however, the bank tried keeping that from us, so instead of suing them, I got an extra acre. The only reason we found out was because one of the previous owner stopped by to grab something they forgot in the attic: it was a chest of stuffed animals. But they told us about the other house and that all it needed was dusting, new coat of paint—and maybe the floors needed to be checked because nobody lived there in years. It's actually the house they purchased when they first moved to the land. There's nothing wrong with the floors or anything. So, being the amazing friend I am—and Goten being stubborn like he is: he will be moving into that house for as long as he needs. Until he gets back onto his feet and gets a job, they'll live there rent-free. Once he figures things out, we'll figure out rent. This way, he'll have his own space. And—it's five minutes closer to his parents'." Trunks answered, getting squeals of happiness from Chi-Chi.
"However, I have a favor to ask." Trunks started, looking at Bulma.
"Same here: it's actually the same favor as Trunks." Goten spoke up, looking at Chi-Chi.
"What is it?" Bulma and Chi-Chi asked, beaming with stars in their eyes.
"Well, with everything that happened recently—mainly being stuck in the hospital in North City—and not even knowing about the extra house... I never had any chance to paint any of the rooms. I also have to go out and buy the paints. But, if it's ok with you and Dad, the kids and I are going to need—and would like to stay the night a few more nights at the house. I still have to take Lily shopping for clothes, toys, and some other things—and paint. If I get lucky, I'll be able to start painting tonight and finish sometime tomorrow. Then hopefully, the day after tomorrow, everything will be dry, and everything can be put into place. Is that a possibility?" Trunks explained and then asked, looking at his mother.
"Of course, it's ok—so long as I can come shopping and help pick out clothes for Lily. I'll get to spend more time with my grandbabies!" Bulma happily agreed and then exclaimed.
"You sound like you'll never see them again…" Trunks mumbled.
"Mom?" Goten asked, watching Chi-Chi.
"I'm so glad you finally asked!" Chi-Chi cried, tightly hugging Goten and Vego.
"What's going to happen with the acres now? You had so many plans." Vegeta asked, watching Trunks.
"Well—that last, extra acre, I'm going to have some kind of wall built around it, get rid of the greenery and turn it into a training area. The rest of the acres will have some kind of fencing going all the way around. The plan had been to split the rest of the acres down the middle so we could have our separate yards or whatever. However, because it's just Goten and Vego, and I have four kids; I've just decided to keep it all together so the kids can play together whenever they want with our permission. The second acre of land has three fenced-in pools ranging from 1'-10'. I'm thinking about getting a smaller kiddy pools for Lily—so, she can get hopefully get used to them. The fourth acre will be the kids own personal park. Goten can figure out what he wants to do with the third acre, and I'll figure out what to do with the first acre. This way, we still have an acre to ourselves. Now, we just have to figure out what kind of fencing to get—especially with the playground on acre four, and the pools on acre two. I don't want random people coming onto the property and doing as they please." Trunks explained.
"When do you plan on going shopping?" Bulma asked, interested.
"Now. I've locked up the house and have the van ready." Trunks answered, walking to his van.
"Can I go with you?" Bulma asked, watching Trunks.
"I suppose. We'll just drop your car off at the house. Dad, are you coming with as well?" Trunks told Bulma before asking Vegeta.
"Might as well." Vegeta huffed.
"Thanks for all the help." Trunks and Goten thanked everyone.
"No problem." Everyone replied before heading out.
"Thanks for the house—or at least renting it to me." Goten thanked Trunks.
"It's really no problem." Trunks replied, shifting Lily a little.
"Do you care if I show Mom the house?" Goten asked, watching Trunks.
"No—it's your house. Oh, wait. Mom, can you take Lily for a minute?" Trunks told Goten and then asked Bulma.
"Of course." Bulma happily obliged, taking Lily from Trunks—who started digging around in his pocket.
"Here. These are your house keys; I have a copy just in case you lose yours—or leave it in your house." Trunks told Goten, tossing him two keys.
"Thanks. See you 'round." Goten told Trunks before they went their separate ways.
"Where are you thinking of going?" Bulma asked, watching Trunks.
"I'm not sure yet." Trunks answered as they walked to the van.
"Come on; let's get the car to the house so we can get headed out." Vegeta told his wife.
Fifteen Minutes Later:
Trunks parked the van on the side of the road while Bulma and Vegeta parked the car in the driveway.
"Ok. Get in the back." Bulma told Trunks once she got back to the van.
"Excuse me?" Trunks asked, shocked.
"Get in the back. I know the perfect place to go, so I'll drive. Your father and I will be up front with Lily." Bulma firmly told Trunks.
"Fine." Trunks gave in, turned the van off, and got out before getting in the back.
Bulma, Lily, & Vegeta.
Trunks & Knickers.
Kishu & Teddy.
Twenty Minutes:
"Mom—where are we going?" Trunks asked after about half an hour.
"You'll see." Bulma replied with a smile.
"Mmmm… Wahh! Wahh! Wahhahhahh!" Trunks was about to say something when Lily stretched and just started crying.
"Lily. Shh. Shh. It's ok, Baby. Shh." Trunks did his best to soothe Lily after unbuckling and sitting right in front of her.
"Shh. That's it. It's ok. I'm right; everybody's here. Grandma and Grandpa. Knickers, Kishu, and Teddy. We're all here." Trunks gently told Lily, causing her to look all around her.
Suddenly, the van stalled on the side of a country road, and a small pink light appeared for a few seconds.
"Hey." A small, flying person, the size of a small doll with wings, appeared.
"Who are you?" Trunks asked, watching the person.
"What the hell are you?" Vegeta asked, annoyed.
"Poppy." Lily softly spoke.
"Poppy?" Everyone asked, confused.
"That's me. I'm Poppy and I'm an information fairy." The fairy, Poppy, enthusiastically told everyone.
"Information fairy? I've never heard those before." Teddy softly spoke, crawling up to them with Kishu right behind her.
"Well—technically, I'm a flower fairy, but I was captured and forced into captivity. But fourteen years ago, I was saved and given a second chance. However, because I was captured in the first place, I am still indebted to whoever has me—even if I was saved. But my new master is very nice and lets me have my freedom—even if they're not given the same freedoms." Poppy happily but at the same time, somewhat sadly explained.
"What are you doing here?" Trunks asked, confused.
"Mmm… I can't take it anymore! All the lies and secrets! So, I've come to tell you all I can—all that I'm allowed to tell you about Elm and Lily. First off: what are Elm and Lily half of on your side?" Poppy just burst, unable to keep from yelling before asking.
"Saiyan." Trunks answered, watching Lily; she didn't seem too phased by Poppy mentioning Elm.
"Don't worry, Lily's Dad; I'm aware of her relationship with Elm. While I'm here, every time Elm gets said, she'll hear chimes. So, you're Saiyan and your kids are all half Saiyan?" Poppy clarified before asking.
"No. Because their mothers were human, Knickers, Kishu, and Teddy are all full Saiyan." Trunks answered.
"Ok; I can feel that with Knickers and Kishu, but not Teddy. She's only half Saiyan; she's also half Fairy. Do any of them still see their mothers?" Poppy asked, watching Trunks.
"No. Their mothers have all passed away." Trunks answered, watching Poppy.
"Oh. I'm sorry. Who was Teddy's mother? That name kind of sounds familiar." Poppy apologized and then asked.
"Miki." Trunks answered.
"Miki? Dark blue hair and eyes?" Poppy asked, watching Trunks.
"Yep. Did you know her?" Trunks asked.
"Yes; she was a friend. She's why I was captured. Well, I shouldn't say that. I mean, I told her to go and don't look back; I'd be ok. And I was—eventually. I wanted her to be free. The main reason she was able to get away was because she was a third human; she was also a third Nature Fairy, and a third Air Fairy. She reminds me of Miki. I'm guessing there's no human in her—so she's half fairy but is only a fourth Nature and a fourth Air. Most Nature Fairies are tomboys because no matter their gender, they like mud and all that. Air fairies go either way because they like being outside and all that. I can tell you now, because of you being a Saiyan, and her mother being a third human, Teddy won't be overly short, but she's not going to be overly tall. But onto why I'm really here. Elm and Lily." Poppy answered and went onto explain.
"Ok… What about them?" Trunks asked, watching Poppy.
"Please don't interrupt; I promise to explain everything. First: Elm's name wasn't Elm; that was just his middle name. His actually name was Raiden; he was named after the God of Thunder. Lily is still Lily. Second: their birthday wasn't last Friday, and Raiden and Lily aren't twins; he's nearly two years older than her. Third: yes, you are their father—both of them. However, they do not have the same mother. Yes, you may ask a question." Poppy started explaining but told Trunks when he saw questions burning in his eyes.
"How does that work when I only had one night with Luna three years ago?" Trunks asked, watching Poppy.
"Your memories have been altered by someone. No, I don't know who, but I do know they have been—and it was by someone quite powerful." Poppy answered.
"Sakira or her Nana?" Knickers asked right away.
"You know Sakira and Nani?" Poppy asked, stunned.
"We know of them; we've never met them. Sakira's writing or whatever pops up here and there to let us know stuff. Is this because of her? She was friends with Luna after all." Trunks explained.
"No, this isn't because of them. Well—Nani maybe: she's a horrid woman. No, Nekodians don't have the ability to erase or alter memories—not even Nekodian witches. Unfortunately, Sakira had a lot of her memories altered and erased on Nani's orders. I do not know why. I think you'd really like Sakira; she's so sweet and kindhearted. She's the complete opposite of Luna. Well—come to think of it, Luna knew a lot of different people; she could've had your and Sakira's memories altered or erased." Poppy answered and then started kind of babbling.
"Are you telling us, Luna was not a good person?" Trunks asked, watching Poppy.
"No. Good heavens, no." Poppy replied.
"So, she did abuse Elm—Raiden and Lily?" Trunks asked, watching Poppy.
"Yes and No. Sorry; I got off topic. You've been talking to Eel?" Poppy asked.
"Yes." Trunks answered.
"Ok. Eel wasn't a good guy and did try to take over Nekodian Planet. However, he was caught and then forced to watch over the Nekodian royal family for thousands of years. But he never changed. He met Luna and the two became close—in a way; he loved her, but she didn't return his feelings. Luna was just using him." "How old are Raiden and Lily?" Poppy started only to be interrupted by Kishu.
"And if they don't have the same mother, who is Lily's mother?" Knickers asked.
"Raiden just turned four back in March on the 18th. Lily will be three on October 5th. I cannot tell you who Lily's mother is just yet: that'll get me zapped. But going back to your question: Luna was no abusive whatsoever towards Raiden; she treated him like a king. However, she was severely abusive towards Lily—and she taught Raiden that it was ok to beat Lily up. The only reason Lily is even alive is because of Sakira. However, Sakira doesn't know all of the truth either." Poppy answered happily at first before becoming sad.
"Wait. So Eel said something about some prophecy. If Raiden and Lily aren't twins, that means the prophecy isn't over, right? He also told us he got magic from Sakira to make all of us forget about Elm and such. Was that not True?" Trunks asked when something popped into his head.
"Do you know Sakira personally? Couldn't you just tell her the truth?" Knickers asked, confused.
"So, is Elm not dead?" Teddy asked.
"If not, could we bring him home as well?" Kishu asked, just wanting to be part of it all.
"Yes, I know Sakira personally. Yes, I could tell her everything, but there'd be no point because Nani would just have her memories erased or altered again; she does every time Sakira gets close to the truth. Sakira is very powerful—magically speaking. Even though she doesn't want to admit it, Sakira is far more powerful than Nani. But no; as I said before, Nekodians do not have the ability to erase or alter memories. But Eel can. And while he was loyal to Luna; he was indebted to Nani and had to do whatever she told him—until a yesterday—I think. The prophecy? You've heard of that, huh? Yes, it's over. The most dangerous part of it has been over for years and years now—when Luna and her sister were born. The entirety of the prophecy or whatever you want to call it ended when Lily was born. But that's all that I can say about that. Raiden is still alive, yes. However, no; you cannot bring him into your home. Luna knew she was going to die; she wasn't as smart as her twin sister—and it cost her. Wait—you didn't know Luna was a twin?" Poppy started explaining before asking, shocked, watching Trunks.
"No; she neve mentioned having a sister." Trunks answered, trying to think.
"Yes. Luna and her sister were born twins, but they were separated when they were little—two, maybe three. But going back to Raiden. As I said: Luna knew she was going to die, so she sent Raiden away to live with a friend of hers or something. And if he's ever around Lily, with how much his mother taught him, he'd kill her." "Trunks, is something wrong?" Poppy started explaining before Bulma interrupted, watching Trunks.
"Lily—she wasn't conceived naturally, was she?" Trunks asked, watching Poppy, shocking Bulma and Vegeta while confusing the children.
"What do you mean?" Poppy asked, backing away a little.
"Sakira—she's Lily's mother, isn't she?" Trunks asked, watching Poppy.
"Trunks—" "What are you talking about?" Bulma started only to have Vegeta interrupt him.
"I thought you said Luna was the last girl you were with." Knickers stated, watching Trunks.
"Not right now, Knickers. You. Answer my questions about Lily. I'm right, right?" Trunks scolded Knickers before demanding Poppy.
"How?" Poppy started, shocked.
"Eel said that Nani and Sakira were the only two living Nekodians left. Before Luna passed away, it was them and her. Any other Nekodians aside from Nani and Sakira are only half Nekodian. You just said Luna was a twin, thus breaking the dangerous part of the curse. Earlier you said you couldn't say much about Sakira. And you couldn't tell us who Lily's mother was. Certain things you say, how you say them, or don't say gives you away. Lily is Sakira's daughter, isn't she? That's why she feels so protective and looks like Lily. A friend said they look just alike. Now, I know you said that memories have been altered and erased: that includes me. That means I could've had nights with Luna and Sakira and just don't remember them. However, it's been made clear I've never even met Sakira because I don't think she even knows my name; she always calls me "Mr. Lily's Dad." Not to mention, our friend has repeatedly said, Sakira doesn't go out much—only for grocery shopping. He also said she's never had any kind of relations and is still a virgin. That would mean, Lily wasn't naturally conceived. And just the awkward conversations we've had, Sakira doesn't even know Lily's hers, does she?" Trunks answered Poppy, asking his own questions, and explaining the things he knew.
Poppy just floated there, looking guilty.
"No, Lily wasn't conceived naturally. Yes, Sakira is her mother, but no; she doesn't know. No, she's never had her memories of that erased or altered—except for when she gets close to finding out. Nani calls Sakira stubborn and prudish—and is always trying to get her laid or whatever. But Sakira isn't ready. Don't bother trying to find her; you won't be able to. Sakira—she'll find you if she wants—and only when the time is right. Your friend is Piccolo; he's not allowed to tell you. If he tries, he'll be hurt." Poppy started explaining.
"Why is it you can tell us these things without being hurt?" Knickers asked, curious.
"I'm under Sakira's protection; she's the only who saved me all those years ago. She was only seven—and nearly got hurt because of me. So, I stay with and keep an eye on her. I was free to leave years ago, but we became friends—mainly because neither of us have friends. But because she's the pure twin and has nothing but pureness to her, nothing can hurt me. She tried putting the same spell she put on me on Lily, but it wouldn't work—that's because of Luna and a counter spell. Luna was very angry because no matter what she did, she couldn't kill Sakira—nor could she break the barriers Sakira put up to protect Lily in a different way. Despite not knowing the truth of who Lily is to her, Sakira still has that strong need to protect her." Poppy explained.
"How or why did the prophecy end? Why me?" Trunks asked, confused.
"You're a full Saiyan. The most dangerous part ended once Luna and Sakira reached a year old. They survived anything that came to kill them. They had to be born of the royal family and Nani's offspring for the start to end. So their father raped their mother until they were conceived. Luna and Sakira are the direct descendants and reincarnations of the original twins. Then for the entirety of the prophecy to end, Luna and Sakira had to mate and breed with a full Saiyan. Nani wanted them to mate with either a Kakarot or a Vegeta—preferably Vegeta because he is of royal decent. Luna was all on board; she didn't care. Plus, it got her more power—or it was supposed to. Sakira refused, saying she didn't want to do it with someone she didn't know. Nani couldn't get a hold of either Kakarot or Vegeta, but Luna said she knew Vegeta's son. Would he count? Nani said yes because he was full Saiyan and of Royal decent. But mainly because he was full Saiyan. Sorry. Because you're full Saiyan. Yes, the prophecy is completely ended, but it was in an unconventional way. You weren't born a full Saiyan; you were half human at one point. Yes, I know about that as well; I had heard about it. If Luna and Sakira had a child with a full Saiyan, they would be granted unbelievable power. However, what Luna didn't realize, was that it had to be done the same way: either naturally or unnaturally—not both. Nani knew; she did it that way because she wanted to continue on with being the strongest Nekodian Witch there ever was and will be. However, because Sakira doesn't know anything, she kept her powers—and has far surpassed her." Poppy explained.
"What do you mean Sakira doesn't know anything?" Bulma asked, watching Poppy.
"She became very sick a few years ago and had to have something called her appendix removed. Nani used that to her advantage and had some of her unfertilized good eggs removed—and placed inside of Luna. And because Luna had used Trunks prior with Raiden, Nani figured she'd use him again. She somehow collected his contribution to making babies and gave them to Luna to make Lily. They asked Sakira, if she were to have a boy or girl one day, what she'd name them. I don't remember what she said for a boy, but she said Lily May for a girl. She was confused as to why—especially when they didn't tell her why. She felt hurt, betrayed, confused, and angry when she found out that's what Luna named "her" daughter. I can't even begin to imagine how she'll feel when or if she'll ever be allowed to know the truth. But whether she knows the truth or now, Sakira loves Lily more than herself or anything else. But umm… Seeing as Nani didn't follow the rules completely: Luna gained no extra powers, Nani isn't still the strongest Nekodian Witch, and Raiden, aside from strength, speed, claws, and the ability to jump from high places, has no powers. Sakira is the strongest full Nekodian Witch magically speaking; she doesn't have very much strength. Lily will be the strongest half Nekodian Witch magically speaking; like her mother, she doesn't have much strength. There are other half Nekodian/Saiyans out there as well: some good like Lily, and some evil or not good like Raiden." Poppy softly explained; it looked as if she was becoming tired.
"Can you tell us if Lily has anything mentally or physically different about her?" Trunks asked, watching Poppy.
"I know she has that thing where she falls over often, ADD, mild OCD, autistic tendencies but no autism, social anxiety, basic anxiety, asthma, and is a little slower like Sakira." Poppy answered.
"So, it's hereditary?" Trunks asked.
"I don't know what that means." Poppy softly replied.
"Why twins? Why make it seem like Raiden and Lily were twins?" Vegeta asked, annoyed before Trunks could say anything.
"That was Dr. Hashita's idea. Dr. Hashita is a really good guy, but Nani was threatening him and his family; she also paid him a little. She told him to make sure Trunks got his daughter—and fake son. Maybe Elm was the boys name Sakira liked. But Raiden, no matter how much you may try, will always be evil." Poppy answered.
"So—all these people involved, is this Coast Peer involved as well?" Vegeta asked, annoyed.
"Poppy? Are you alright?" Trunks asked, concerned with how pale the fairy got.
"You did not just say who I thought I heard you say. You look me in the eyes and tell me you did not just say Coast Peer." Poppy told Trunks, looking at him, pleading with him.
"I'm sorry. Do you know him? Who is he?" Trunks asked, becoming increasingly concerned.
"Don't let him near Lily. If you see him, get her away." Poppy very sternly warned Trunks.
"What's going on?" Vegeta asked, demanding an answer.
"Coast Peer is a rare species hunter. Depending on the rarity of species determines if he keeps or sells them—or if he kills them. Full Nekodians are sold. Half Nekodians are usually killed because they're only half, but because they are still half, they can sell off their parts and such. He already knows about Lily: if he gets the chance, Coast will not hesitate to kill her. I know because I've seen him do it before—with all sorts of species. Like me, he's been around for a long time. His family are good—and most don't know what he's doing. He uses whatever job he has as a disguise. He is responsible for most of the non-accidental deaths of several half Nekodians—and why all but Nani and Sakira have been sold and killed off. He even managed to kill Luna—and he knew who she was. She refused to be his and do whatever he told her. Now, I'm sure he'll be looking for Lily—and if he knows who her mother is, he'll be on her like a fly on honey. With Piccolo around, Sakira and Nani should be fine, but you never know. Don't ever leave Lily alone. Coast and his group are only afraid of Saiyans and Namekians, but that won't stop them from trying. If you see him and you have Lily, run. Just run. He does not play around. I don't know how much longer I'll be around—so if you ever see or meet Sakira, you have to protect her as well. And Nani as well—I guess. He is dangerous." Poppy explained, sternly warning them.
"That man will get nowhere near any of my kids." Trunks informed, determined.
"He'd better hope I don't find him first." Vegeta warned.
"Ok. I have to go; I have to warn Sakira. Just so you know, I've frozen time—so, no time has passed since we started talking. Once I leave, everything will start again. Bye." Poppy told them before disappearing.
"Do you think we'll forget what she just told us?" Knickers asked, concerned.
"I don't know. We'll just have to take it all day by day. With that said, DO NOT tell anyone else about this. Grandma, Grandpa, and I will figure out how to tell the others—or whoever we feel should know." Trunks answered before telling everyone.
"Right." Everyone agreed.
"So—seeing as she's only two and a half, do you think either of them were born early?" Bulma asked once she started driving again.
"I don't know. It's something we'll have to figure out later in time. For now, we have a lot of information we didn't have before. I have Lily, and that's all that matters. It would be nice to have Raiden as well, but that's not the case. If I ever have the chance to meet him, I'd like to get him to understand that whatever his mother taught him isn't how most people live. However, I don't know what she told him about me—or any of us. I'm sure she knows about Knickers, Kishu, and Teddy: she and that Nani seem to do their research. And seeing as he's already been abusing Lily—and wants to kill her—I'm not so sure there's any way of bringing him over to our side. For now, we live day by day with who and what we have. And—so long as our memories aren't erased or altered, I will try to figure out what I can about Sakira—without asking Piccolo." Trunks answered and then explained.
"I'd say we talk to the Namekian and demand answers." Vegeta insisted.
"We can't do that. We don't know what or how much he can divulge without getting hurt. And we don't know just how much hurt that'll be. And then there's the fact that if he finds out we know something, we will most definitely have our memories erased or altered because he is in charge of making sure Sakira is safe. For now, we concentrate on us, our family, and friends. And this next part is for Grandma, Grandpa, Goku, Gohan, possibly Piccolo, and me only: none of you are to be involved in figuring out who Coast Peer really is and all that. If you see him anywhere, you run and get whoever you're with. Do you understand me? If I find out you three are having or doing anything to do with him, it will not end well for any of you." Trunks responded to Vegeta before coming up with the beginnings of a plan and strictly warning his kids.
"Yes," "Dad." "Daddy." Kishu and Teddy agreed.
"Knickers. Don't think I don't know what's going in that head of yours. You DO NOT go after OR look into anything to do with Coast Peer. If this is going to be an issue, I can make it so it's not. You have three younger siblings to look after. If you are ever alone with them, I'm counting on you and Kishu to get your sisters to safety—especially Lily. He is after her. I know you want to help, but we really don't know anything about this man other than he's a rare species hunter. Promise me, Knickers; you won't do anything regarding Coast except getting your brother and sisters to safety." Trunks warned Knickers.
"Yes, Dad…" Knickers kind of mumbled; he just wanted to help.
"One day you'll understand. Don't give me that look. Just because you're gay doesn't mean you won't have kids. They're always adoption—and the way Lily was conceived. You'll all learn when you're older. We will all always be standing by your side with no matter what you do—so long as it's legal. And I promise, if we figure something out, and we need you—for anything, I'll call on you for whatever it is we need you for—fighting wise. For now, you need to think about Kishu, Teddy, Lily, and your own safety." Trunks calmly told Knickers.
"Ok." Knickers finally calmed down enough to listen and understand.
"Here we are." Bulma happily announced, pulling into a parking lot.
"Oh, Mom—no…" Trunks groaned when he saw where Bulma had taken them:
The Mall…
