"What?" Bulma asked, looking at her son
"The mall, really?" Trunks asked, staring at his mother in disbelief.
"Yeah. What's the problem?" Bulma asked, watching Trunks.
"Knickers is fine; he behaves just fine when we go anywhere. Whenever we go to malls, Kishu and Teddy like to wander off without asking. And Lily: she has a difficult time in larger stores. The mall is more than a large store." Trunks firmly told his mother.
"Sorry, but it's such a nice mall and has everything." Bulma guiltily told Trunks, looking down, trying to guilt him. It worked too.
"Mom… There's no point in trying to leave now: we're already here, so we might as well go in. But Mom—this is the last time this is happening: next time you want to take the entire family to a mall or something, please tell me first. That's all I ask. And also stop trying to guilt me afterwards. Jeez. I love you. I will always love you. And I will always need your help in some way or other—and I will ask when I do." Trunks calmly told Bulma.
"Sorry. I love you too." Bulma told Trunks, hugging him.
"You three had better behave and stay with me, Grandma, Grandpa, and Lily. If any of you misbehave or wander off—period; you can all sit in the van with Grandpa while Grandma and I take Lily and whoever behaves through the mall. And Lily: everything's going to be ok; we're not going to leave you alone in there. We're going to be with you the entire time." Trunks told firmly told his children.
"Yes," "Dad." "Daddy." Knickers, Kishu, and Teddy, responded while Lily stared at Trunks.
"Let's go." Trunks instructed, removing Lily from her car seat.
"Mmmff." Lily made a noise halfway to the mall's entrance.
"Did you just use your diaper?" Trunks asked, holding Lily away from him a little as he walked.
"I have a few diapers and wipes in my bag; I can take her to a bathroom and change her if you'd like." Bulma offered.
"That'd be great, thanks." Trunks thanked his mother before handing her Lily.
"Grandma, I have to go potty too." Teddy told Bulma once they were inside.
"Come on." Bulma gently told Teddy, leading her into the bathroom.
"Dad, can I go to the bathroom real quick?" Knickers and Kishu asked, looking at Trunks.
"Yeah; go ahead." Trunks told his boys, allowing them to go into the bathroom alone.
"Are you ok with everything you've learned?" Vegeta asked, watching Trunks get a store wagon so he could set Lily in.
"About what per se? Raiden? Lily? Sakira? Any of that? Honestly, I don't know what to think or feel about any of it. I would like Raiden to be part of the family, but deep down; I know it's not going to happen. Sakira: I want to just sit her down and tell her everything I've learned, but that's damn near impossible seeing as I don't know if we'll ever meet. I would love to meet her for Lily's sake. They all deserve to have a mother who loves them, but none of them have that because, you know—I made plenty of mistakes. Not the kids, but their mothers. And Lily's mother, Sakira—she doesn't even know she has a daughter. Maybe deep down, she does. But she's in the dark just as much as we are. Honestly, I don't care what anyone does to me, but it's not fair for Knickers, Kishu, Teddy, Lily, or Sakira." Trunks answered, annoyed.
"Dad, we have you and that's all that matters." Kishu spoke, walking over with Knickers, Teddy, Bulma, and Lily.
"Our mothers: we know. Kishu and my mother went crazy and killed herself. We don't need someone like her in our life if that's how she felt. We must've not mattered to her seeing as she killed herself to get away—not only from us, but everything. Teddy's mom: if she were alive, she'd still see her because you said she was a good person. And Sakira: if you want her in Lily's life, that's up to you; she seems nice enough. I just don't want her to take Lily away." Knickers sincerely told Trunks.
"You like Ms. Sakira; we can tell. Do you think she'd like you and want to be our mommy?" Teddy asked after stating, causing Trunks to nearly fall over.
"She's right; we can tell you like Sakira. Your eyes do this weird thing when you read her words." Knickers confirmed what Teddy told him.
"I don't know how Sakira feels. How I feel doesn't mean anything if she doesn't feel the same way. Not to mention: neither of us know each other. I appreciate what you three have to say; I love you four more than anything. You four will always be who matter the most to me. As for if Sakira ever knows the truth about Lily, we will figure something out about Lily and custody. But I promise you; she will never take Lily away from us. Now, let's get Lily her things so I can go back to the house and start painting." Trunks calmly but sincerely told his kids.
"Yes," "Dad." "Daddy." Knickers, Kishu, and Teddy, replied with smiles.
"Now, for you. You're going to sit in here." Trunks gently told Lily, setting her in the wagon. However, her sitting there didn't last long.
"No. No. No. No. No." Lily cried, standing up; she didn't like the seat's texture.
"We'll have to buy her a new blanket or something for her to sit on." Bulma stated, watching Trunks as he held a shaking Lily.
"Right. Piccolo?" Trunks replied before asking, confused, looking up.
"Piccolo?" Bulma asked, confused until she saw Piccolo floating above them.
"It doesn't seem like he notices us." Knickers noted, looking up.
"No, it doesn't. Mmmff." Trunks agreed before making a noise when someone bumped into him.
"Sorry. Sorry. I didn't mean to bump into you. Sorry. Excuse me." A girl with long, straight dark blue hair and brown eyes apologized before excusing herself.
"Sock-Ra! Sock-Ra!" Lily excitedly exclaimed, causing the girl who bumped into Trunks to nearly fall over—as did Piccolo.
"Sock-Ra? Sakira? You're Sakira?" Trunks asked, stopping the girl.
"Ah-hahaha. Ummm… Hi…" The girl, Sakira, nervously laughed before greeting them.
"You don't look like a Nekodian." Kishu outright noted.
"Oh. Good." Sakira vaguely replied.
"Disguise?" Bulma asked, watching Sakira.
"Yes." Sakira and Piccolo answered at the same time.
"You didn't recognize her? Uncle Piccolo—you're losing your touch." Teddy teased Piccolo.
"You're just lucky you're cute." Piccolo taunted Teddy.
"Hey! I'm not cute!" Teddy exclaimed, offended.
"You're using a different spell." Piccolo noted, looking at Sakira.
"And you're still following Nana's orders." Sakira mumbled.
"If I were following her orders, you'd be home by now." Piccolo argued.
"Except you didn't know who I was." Sakira countered.
"No, but it was only a matter of time. Your spell's scent is wearing off. How else do you think I was able to find you at the mall?" Piccolo asked, making a point, causing Sakira to back off.
"Outed by the child…" Sakira muttered before looking at Lily—who was desperately reaching for her.
"I think she wants you to hold her." Trunks stated as Lily continued to reach for her.
"Ok." Sakira sighed, taking Lily.
Lily immediately hugged Sakira and then started feeling around her head.
"I know… They're invisible. I have to hide mine while I'm out. No—you don't need to hide yours. It's a long story—and you're too young right now. Maybe when you're older, it can be explained to you." Sakira explained after Lily felt around her head and then again after she covered her ears.
"Nana?" Lily asked, looking around, slightly fearful.
"No, Nana's not here. Don't worry; she doesn't like to leave home anymore." Sakira told Lily.
"Bubby?" Lily asked, looking around, interested.
"Oh. Umm… Bubby's gone. He was sick—and just went to sleep." Sakira sadly told Lily.
"Eber?" Lily asked.
"Yes." Sakira softly told Lily.
"Sowee. It be k." Lily told Sakira, patting her head.
"Yes, it'll be ok." Sakira replied with a smile, setting her in the wagon.
"She's not going to sit there." Vegeta huffed, watching Sakira.
"Trust me; she will." Sakira replied, squatting next to Lily.
"No…" Lily started crying.
"No, Lily. You know you have to do stuff you don't like sometimes." Sakira calmly told Lily.
"You should talk." Piccolo mumbled.
"That's different. I'm not going to be set up with someone I don't know because Nana's crazy." Sakira shot back.
"That's not what I meant, but ok." Piccolo replied in disbelief.
"Then what did you mean?" Sakira asked, annoyed.
"You don't sit on surfaces like those either. If you have to sit on a hard, bumpy surface, you always have a flat pillow or something." Piccolo stated, folding his arms across his chest.
"Yes—well, I'm an adult. And I still do things I don't like. If you want to lecture someone for not doing crap they don't like; you need to find Nana." Sakira firmly told Piccolo.
"Yeah right. That woman won't eat anything she doesn't like if her life depended on it. The only thing you absolutely won't eat are onions." Piccolo stated, watching Sakira with Lily.
"Onions. Yuck." Sakira spoke before sticking her tongue out and making a face. At the same time, Lily made the same face.
"Well, look at you; you're doing great. But I'm still going to make you do it." Sakira praised Lily before telling her, holding up her hand.
"Says the girl who won't sit on the same type of surface." Piccolo grumbled.
"You know what? Lily, you can stand for a few seconds. You're just mad because you couldn't tell who I was when the three-year-old could. But fine: I'll take your stupid challenge. Just hold on a freaking second." Sakira calmly told Lily before snapping at Piccolo.
After a few deep breaths, Sakira was calm enough to use what she calls a "Shrinking" spell.
"Wow. What's it been? A year since you were that small?" Piccolo teased, lifting Sakira.
"Shut up. Hey! Put me down!" Sakira demanded, kicking the air.
"Hold your horses, Shorty. At this height, you're unable to get into the wagon on your own. Now, be a good girl and sit down." Piccolo calmly told Sakira before teasing her again.
"You are so lucky there are children here." Sakira grumbled before looking at Lily.
"Ok. Now, Lily; we're both going to sit down at the same time." Sakira calmly told Lily, emphasizing certain words so that Piccolo knew what the plan was.
Slowly and cautiously, Lily and Sakira sat down. As soon as their butts touched the seats, they both stiffened up.
"No wonder Lily doesn't like these seats; they're unbelievably uncomfortable." Sakira noted, shifting around in her seat.
"Now, sit still like a good little girl." Piccolo continued to tease Sakira.
"You know what? Shut up. I'm sitting, butt flat on the durn seat. I said we had to sit on the seats; I never said we had to sit still." Sakira snapped at Piccolo.
"And you don't know him?" Kishu asked, watching Sakira and Piccolo go back and forth.
"*Deep breath…* Not personally, no. I know him in the sense that he's always there, watching me. But I don't actually know him. Why do you ask, Lily's older brother?" Sakira asked after answering.
"You two argue like brother and sister." Knickers answered, watching Sakira.
"Ah. I suppose I wouldn't know how that all works; I don't have any brothers or sisters. Well, anyway: Lily, let's get this over with. You know what you have to do. Remember: not too slow but not too fast either." Sakira honestly replied before calmly instructing Lily, holding up her hands.
One by one, silently, Lily pushed down Sakira's fingers.
Once she was finished with one hand, Sakira put it behind her back—and flipped Piccolo off while Lily pushed her other fingers down.
"Good girl. Now—do you want a bubble butt? Uh-oh. Hold on." Sakira praised Lily before asking her; she then stood up and rushed out of the wagon.
"Are you alright?" Knickers asked, concerned when Sakira landed, full-sized, face-first on the ground.
"Behave." Trunks scolded Kishu and Teddy for laughing at Sakira.
"Yes… Thank you for asking. And it's ok, Mr. Lily's dad; I'm sure to most, this would be hilarious. And I'm fine, really. I just miscalculated—or wasn't paying attention to the time limit on my time-limited spell. Ah! Lily, no!" Sakira calmly replied, rubbing her head before freaking out when Lily tried getting out of the wagon like she had.
"I'm sorry; I didn't mean to yell, but you can't be doing that. You could actually hurt yourself." Sakira apologized before gently explaining as Lily cried into her shoulder. She then huffed in annoyance when her phone started buzzing.
"Let me guess: Nani?" Piccolo asked when Sakira muted her phone.
"Yep." Sakira replied, setting Lily back in the wagon.
"She's just going to call you again—and again until you go home." Piccolo stated, watching Sakira.
"I know. I also know I'm going to get yelled at as well." Sakira grumbled, muting her phone again.
"But anyway: how about that bubble butt? Hahaha. No, not your butt. Here. This is what I call a "bubble butt." It's actually something for your wrists when sitting at a computer, but it works all the same. Go ahead and poke it. Do you like how it feels?" Sakira asked Lily; she laughed when Lily turned to look at her butt. She then showed Lily what she meant.
"Squishy. Bzzz." Lily spoke and then made a noise when she heard Sakira's phone again.
"Do you like it?" Sakira asked again.
"Yeah." Lily answered, squishing the wrist rest.
"Good. Now, watch what happens when I set it on the seat. Now, you can sit on it and have a "bubble butt." I'll put one on this side as well because I know you. You're like me and like to move around—a lot."
As soon as Sakira placed the wrist rest on the seat, it changed to the size of the seat.
"That's so cool!" Teddy exclaimed, looking at the "bubble butt."
"Thank you. Now, because I have to get going here in a few minutes before Nana has a heart attack or whatever, Mr. Lily's Dad. You can keep these "bubble butts;" I have plenty more at home. They are permanently enchanted, so all you have to do is remove them from the seats and they'll go back to their original sizes. Then, if you put her in a booster seat or something with a grainy texture, you can just set this on the seat, and it will form to the size of the seat. I personally don't like them, but I know little kids (including Lily) love them. I have a bunch of things for Lily back at my house; I will send them with Piccolo one day. For her safety, I would rather not know where you live. Of course, I know how that sounds. But for now, I would rather her be safe. And now that most things are online or whatever, I actually have something for Lily now, but I have to give it to you. Well, actually, technically speaking; I don't have to. But this gift isn't something I would normally give to a three-year-old. Maybe that's just me nowadays, but that's how I feel, so this is a courtesy. I think that's the right word. But anyway: I'm getting off track. Nana has this love-hate thing with technology: she's why I'm buying a new laptop every few months. I like to type, listen to music, and watch movies or shows, so I usually just have a laptop, music player, and an iPad—and a phone. Nana made me get a phone—among other things that I'm not into. She got me the brand-new iPad—four months after I just bought myself a new one. I don't need two. Until a few days ago, I didn't know what to do with my old one because Nana says I'm not allowed to use it; I have to use my new one only. Then I thought of Lily—but only because of some items I have on there. It is pass-locked so that she can't get into it without permission: I will give that. On it are just some painting apps and movies/tv shows. It is in a case for protection. And somebody better appreciate all the work I put into designing the case special." Sakira rambled on and on until she pulled out an iPad.
The case Sakira was talking about: she drew and then painted Scooby-Doo and the gang with the Mystery Machine in the background. She even coated it so that it wouldn't scratch or fade too quickly.
"Lily loves Scooby-Doo!" Teddy excitedly exclaimed, seeing the case.
"No, she loves Shaggy. Don't you, boyfriend stealer?" Sakira stated before asking Lily, making her giggle.
"Boyfriend stealer?" Trunks, Vegeta, and the kids asked, confused.
"Hahaha. Sorry. It's a joke. I've been watching Scooby-Doo since I was a child. For some odd reason, I had a huge crush on Shaggy; he was my favorite character. I had all sorts of things: posters, dolls, action figures, pictures I drew, clay characters I made, shirts, pajamas. If it had Shaggy on it; I had it. Then I started bringing Lily over every so often. I started her on Scooby—and then the little snoop found my Scooby bin. It was just a bin with Scooby-Doo stuff. She wanted so badly to take them with her, but I couldn't allow that; they'd get destroyed. But Shaggy quickly became her favorite character—and anything Shaggy became hers. As did Bubby. Bubby was my cat—well, family cat. He was over one-thousand-five-hundred years of age. Unfortunately, he wasn't immortal like me, Nana, and others. Sure, obviously, Nekodains can be killed, but we don't age. Well, we do, but we don't look it. Sorry. I know—I'm babbling; I do that a lot. Nekodian pet cats can live up to five-hundred years. Nekodian witch pet cats can live up to two-thousand years—I think. Umm… Bubby originally belonged to Nana's—I wanna say grandmother, but I'm not a hundred percent sure. Anyway: Bubby was a peculiar cat; he preferred children. When his first owner had a daughter—and that daughter turned three or four, he went to the daughter—and so on and so forth. But he only ever chose one. He was eventually Mom's cat—and then mine. And then when Lily was—I wanna say a year—maybe a year-and-a-half, he chose her. God: he was so mad whenever I wouldn't let him go home with her. But he chose her. That's sad: feel awful because he didn't get to see her when he wanted to." Sakira happily explained before becoming somber.
"What happened—if you don't mind my asking?" Knickers asked, watching Sakira.
"Umm… He should've had another—five-hundred years? Something like that. But he got sick. Nana had a vet come over; they said he had something called Cancer. They put him on medications, and something called chemo to prolong his life. I just couldn't watch that anymore. So, after weeks of arguing, I went against Nana's wishes and had him put to sleep. He thanked me—and. And then he said something else, but I can remember what. Hmm… Must not have been important. I was always told if you couldn't remember something; it must not have been important. Oh, well. What are you going to do? But he thanked me and apologized for how he got angry with me for not letting him go with Lily. That was his one regret: he didn't get to see her one last time. This was a few months ago. I suppose I could've gotten her for it, but I didn't think she needed to see that. Gahh! But I suppose I should get headed out." Sakira answered, sadly explaining before her phone buzzed again.
101211
"That's the passcode for the iPad. For now, I'm going to give this to Lily before I go—if that's ok with you, Mr. Lily's dad." Sakira wrote her iPad's passcode down for Trunks before asking permission.
"Interesting passcode. Yeah, that's fine. My name is Trunks, by the way." Trunks replied, pocketing the piece of paper.
"Trunks. Well, it's nice to meet you—officially. The passcode: October, December, November. Lily's birth month. My birth month. My mom's birth month. It's easy for me to remember." Sakira replied with a small smile.
"I'm Teddy; I'm Lily's older sister!" Teddy excitedly introduced herself.
"Go ahead." Trunks sighed, watching his boys.
"I'm Knickers; I'm the oldest." Knickers calmly introduced himself.
"I'm Kishu; I'm the older brother." Kishu introduced himself.
"It's very nice to officially meet you—and know your names." Sakira happily replied before kneeling next to Lily.
"Sock-Ra, sad?" Lily asked, looking at Sakira.
"You know—I don't give a crap what people say: you're very insightful. I have to get going; Nana wants me home. I'm going to be very honest with you: I don't know when I'll get to see you again. But I promise; I'll see you again, ok? But until then, I have something for you." Sakira calmly told Lily, showing her the iPad.
"Scooby! Shaggy!" Lily excitedly exclaimed.
"Yes, Scooby and Shaggy too. Who else is on here?" Sakira asked, holding up the iPad.
"Fed an Dapney an Belma an da Misstory maseen." Lily proudly answered.
"Very good. Now, we turn it over and who do we have on the back?" Sakira asked, turning over the iPad.
"Oohh! Scooby-Doo an Scooby-Dum an Scrappy-Doo an Dada-Doo an Mumsy-Doo an Skippy-Doo an Yabba-Doo an Howdy-Doo an Ruby-Doo an Scooby-Dee!" Lily excitedly exclaimed, happily shaking.
"Uh-huh. You like Scooby-Dum don't you?" Sakira asked, watching Lily.
"Dum, Dum, Dum, DUM! Day say "Scooby-Dum" and "Scooby-Doobie Doo!" Scooby-Dum silly." Lily happily told Sakira.
"Yes. You like Scooby-Dum better than Shaggy, right? I can have my boyfriend back now?" Sakira asked, watching.
"Uh-uh. Shaggy my boyfriend." Lily told Sakira, sticking her tongue out.
"No? Fine. He had better be your only boyfriend." Sakira "strictly," told Lily.
"Boys icky." Lily softly told Sakira.
"Yes, boys are icky. I'm sure you won't say that one day, but for now—and for a long time, they are. But not all boys, right? Daddy, Grandpa, and your big brothers aren't icky, right?" Sakira asked, getting ready to open the iPad.
"No. Huh! Boo Brudders! Ghoul School!" Lily answered before excitedly bouncing around after Sakira opened the iPad.
"Well, you definitely remember these characters. Do you remember all of their names?" Sakira asked, watching Lily.
"She's certainly more upbeat." Vegeta mumbled, watching Sakira and his granddaughter.
"Now, if only she'd stay that way." Bulma sadly spoke.
"Shreako an Freako an Meako. Miss Grimwood an Matches an Sibella an Elsa Frankenteen an Winnie an Phantasma an Tanis." Lily answered, pointing to each character.
"Very good. Maybe later, you can tell your big brothers and sister who these characters are. For now: if you promise to behave and listen to your daddy; I will push this little black apple symbol and it will take us into this. And then, we'll scroll and find—?" "Boo Brudders!" Sakira started telling Lily before scrolling far enough; Lily lost it after Sakira turned the movie on.
"Do you want to watch it?" Sakira asked, pulling the iPad away.
"Pease!" Lily cried.
"Are you going to behave for Daddy and not fuss if he has to pause the movie because he needs you to do something?" Sakira seriously asked.
"Pomise!" Lily cried, desperately reaching for the iPad.
"Ok. Ok. Hold on. Teddy, do you want to watch the movie too?" Sakira asked, watching Teddy.
"Can I?" Teddy asked Trunks.
"I don't care so long as you behave." Trunks replied, unsure of what was going on.
"I'm just going to set the "bubble butt" here. Lily, we'll move you here and Teddy can sit next to you. We'll let you both hold the iPad so you can both see. Teddy, your job will be to pause the movie when your daddy says so. And Lily, you can't get upset when she does. Ok? Or Daddy gets to take the movie away and you don't get to watch it anymore. Ok?" Sakira told the girls after getting them situated.
"Yes." Both girls replied with smiles.
"Ok. I'll see you later, Lily." Sakira told Lily, kissing the top of her head before starting up the movie.
"Sorry about that. I'm also sorry if Teddy isn't a listener. I know when you put on any Scooby-Doo, Lily doesn't hear anything else. So, if Teddy doesn't hear, you can pause or have one of your boys or parents pause. Umm… Really, the only things on there are Scooby-Doo and a few Disney movies. All of the Scooby movies and shows up until What's New Scooby-Doo. Anything after that, you'll have to get yourself. But I suppose I should go—let you get to your shopping—and get home." Sakira apologized and explained to Trunks.
"Well, thanks. And thanks for the iPad code and giving it to me before Lily. My parents are Bulma and Vegeta; you didn't get introduce to them yet." Trunks replied before introducing Sakira to his parents.
"Bulma and Vegeta? You two are married?" Sakira asked, looking at Bulma and Vegeta.
"Yes." Bulma and Vegeta answered.
"Happily?" Sakira asked, watching them.
"Very." Bulma and Vegeta quickly answered.
"Yes! Thank you. Sorry. It's a long story that we don't have time for. In your face, Nana. Sorry. Ummm… Before I go, there is one more thing I need to ask you, Trunks." Sakira was thrilled and spaztic before calming down.
"What is it?" Trunks asked, watching her.
"Do your children play games—video games?" Sakira asked, watching Trunks.
"You have no clue, but right now Kishu and Teddy are grounded from them for the time being. Why do you ask?" Trunks replied, watching Kishu and Teddy:
Teddy wasn't paying attention; she was paying attention to Scooby-Doo.
Kishu, on the other hand, was paying close attention.
"Does Knickers also play video games?" Sakira asked, watching Trunks.
"Sometimes. Not nearly as much as Kishu or Teddy." Trunks answered.
"What about me?" Teddy asked, looking up.
"Nothing, Sweetheart. Just go back to the movie." Trunks calmly instructed.
"I like games. Do you like games?" Kishu asked, going around to Sakira.
"Not really. The only games I play are Mario, Pokémon, Donkey Kong, Mortal Kombat, and depending on the mood, a variety of different board games. Umm… Scrabble. Atmosphere. Aggravation. Sorry. Trouble. Operation. Candy Land. Jenga. Connect Four. Mouse Trap. Many more." Sakira answered, listing off games she played.
"What about Call of Duty or Far Cry or God of War or Assassins Creed?" Kishu asked, listing off games.
"None of which you're allowed to play yet." Trunks firmly told Kishu.
"Why?" Sakira asked, confused.
"They're rated M for mature. Usually means for graphic violence, sex, nudity, and drugs." Knickers answered, walking along.
"Oh. Oh! Then no. I get you now." Sakira came to the realization.
"Why are you asking if my kids play video games?" Trunks asked, watching Sakira.
"Well, I wasn't sure if you'd allow your children to have them, but I have five or six different Nintendo Switch things. I won this thing that hooks up to the TV and three different smaller ones called Nintendo Switch Lites—I think. Then Nana got me one—maybe one of each type. One for sure. But uhh… I only opened one and only play Pokémon on it from time to time. The other ones have never once been opened—and I don't plan on opening them. I don't know, literally, anybody—and I'm not allowed to go out and just sell them because you never know who's out there. I was wondering, if I were to give you them, if you could use them. Or if you don't; you could sell them. I don't know what there are for games, but there a few of those as well." Sakira softly explained, watching Trunks.
"Nintendo Switches?! And you're offering to give them to us? Dad? Dad, please?! Please!" Kishu begged and pleaded.
"What's going on?" Teddy asked, interested.
"Nothing. Just watch the movie." Trunks firmly told Teddy.
"It's not nothing. Sakira offered to give us Nintendo Switches!" Kishu announced.
"Really?" Teddy excitedly asked.
"Actually, I asked your dad if it was ok. It's not up to me; it's up to him. If he doesn't want you having them; that's up to him." Sakira calmly spoke.
"Aww man! Dad, please! Please!" Kishu pleaded, standing right in front of Trunks.
"Sorry. I tried to be as quiet as I could." Sakira apologized.
"It's not your fault; these kids have selective hearing, and only hear what they want." Trunks replied with a sigh.
"Sounds like most kids. From my experiences, Lily always listens and behaves—unless she's watching Scooby-Doo. But I really have to go now. I'll give you time to think and talk about the video game stuff. When you have a decision, just get a hold of me. I'll see you—sometime. Bye." Sakira replied before telling Trunks.
"Wait. How do we get a hold of you? Do we just call out or something?" Trunks asked before Sakira could get a foot away.
"I hear what I need to hear and contact you, usually. However—because you have Lily… Here. Use them wisely. When you want to get a hold of me: start my name on, then your message below, and finally some kind of signature below that. Like so:"
Trunks Only,
This is how this works.
S. or Sakira.
"Why add "only" after Trunks's name?" Bulma asked, confused.
"That makes it so that only I can see the message. Keep that as a reference so that you remember exactly how to do it. I don't need Nana seeing that I'm talking to any of you—especially if she finds out you're Lily's family. She flips out at the mention of Lily's name. I'm still not sure why. I promise I won't send Piccolo with the Switches until I hear from you. Oh, and trust me: I will know exactly who sends me the message. The papers are enchanted to capture fingerprints; they'll tell me who's messaging me. Knickers, right?" Sakira calmly explained, reading Kishu's facial reactions before asking Knickers.
"Yeah." Knickers replied, confused.
"Here. It's about half of what I gave your dad, but if you ever have any questions for me, I'll answer them—whenever I can. If I don't answer you right away, don't get discouraged; it just means Nana's keeping me preoccupied—or I'm sleeping. Oh, and one more thing. You can use both sides of the paper: please do before moving onto a different page or asking for a new pad if you need one. Yes, I can send more. I would just prefer to start like this. Bulma: I'll give you a pad as well. Feel free to share pages with your siblings, kids, friends, or whoever wishes to ask me a question; I'm not handing out anymore pads. See you 'round eventually." And with that, Sakira was gone.
"Well, she definitely knows nothing about Lily being hers." Bulma spoke up first.
"Nope. But it does seem like the knew her grandmother was trying to set her up with Dad." Trunks added.
"She doesn't seem like she's interested in Grandpa like how her grandmother wants her to be." Knickers spoke up.
"No, she did not; she seemed incredibly relieved when she found out you two are happily in love." Trunks stated, watching his parents.
"Good thing too. Your father is mine." Bulma firmly declared, glaring at the women who stared at Vegeta as they passed by.
"Ok. Let's get going. And Kishu: if you continue asking for a Switch; the answer will most certainly be "no." Do you understand me?" Trunks instructed before sternly telling Kishu.
"Yes." Kishu muttered.
"So, we're not getting a Switch?" Teddy asked, looking up from the movie.
"As of right now, no. But I'm not saying "no" for certain. For now, I'll think about it. As long as you don't bug me about them, I may say yes. The moment you start bugging me, it's definitely "no." Understood?" Trunks explained, watching Kishu and Teddy.
"Yes," "Dad." "Daddy." Kishu and Teddy answered, going back to what they were doing.
Five Hours Later:
"Finally. Food." Vegeta grumbled as they all sat down for dinner.
"Daddy, you have paint all over you." Teddy noted as she waited for food.
"What's for dinner?" Kishu asked, ready to eat.
"Well, I have leftover hamburger gravy over mashed potatoes for Lily because she's allergic to pork. The rest of us will be having stuffed, bacon-wrapped pork chops—with hamburger gravy over mashed potatoes because there is plenty of that left." Bulma answered, placing a bowl in front of Lily.
"Where are Uncle Goten and Vego?" Teddy asked as Vegeta set a plate in front of her.
"They were eating with Aunty Chi-Chi, Uncle Goku, Uncle Gohan, Aunty Videl, and Pan." Bulma answered, sitting down.
"But I thought they were living with us." Teddy argued.
"That was the plan, but we found a smaller house on the land behind us aways. Uncle Goten and Vego will be living there. They're kind of going to be living with us, but at the same time, not. And for now, Aunt Bulla and Chiulma are living elsewhere. No, I do not know where." Trunks explained, watching Teddy.
"Ok. Daddy, why does Knickers get to help paint his room and the house but, Kishu, Lily, and I don't?" Teddy replied, satisfied with that explanation before asking a different question.
"Knickers gets to paint his room because he doesn't get paint everywhere; he also listens to me when I tell him what color goes where. As we found out here, you get paint everywhere—and don't want to use the colors I tell you. Kishu didn't want to paint his own room—or any room in the house. And Lily's just to young and little to paint any of the rooms. But I'll tell you what. If you behave these next few days for Grandma and Grandpa, I'll come up with a family art project for us to do." Trunks answered, cutting his food.
"Ok." Teddy happily agreed before shoveling food in her mouth.
"Can we do a movie tonight—like a family movie?" Kishu asked, looking at Trunks, shocking him.
Kishu didn't care for family movie night unless he was picking. And last he knew, it was Knickers's turn to pick.
"What were you thinking? No horror." Trunks firmly told Kishu after asking.
"I was thinking one of the Scooby movies. Don't look at me like that; this has nothing to do with wanting the switch. Teddy got to watch the one with Lily in the mall—and it sounded funny. We don't have to watch that one again—and either of the other two Lily watched already today. The one we watched last night was good. I kind of wanted to see more." Kishu sincerely explained after telling Knickers off.
"Ok, that's enough of that. Yes, we can do a family movie tonight, but last I checked; it was Knickers's turn to pick the move. Your turn is next time. Not to mention, all of the movies are already back our house." Trunks calmly told Knickers and Kishu.
"No, they're not. Sorry. What I mean is, they're all on Lily's iPad. I know how to hook it to Grandma and Grandpa's TV. I can look through the movies and pick one—if that would be ok." Knickers spoke up.
"That'd be fine—if that's what you really want." Trunks firmly told Knickers.
"I want to know what Lily likes. And Kishu is right: the movie we watched last night was funny." Knickers replied, between bites of pork.
"Ok. But everyone needs to shower or bathe first." Trunks replied, smiling at Lily; she was getting potatoes and gravy everywhere.
"I'm so happy she's happier tonight." Bulma stated, snapping a picture.
"You and me both." Trunks sighed, relieved, watching his family…
