Three Days Later:
"Welcome to our new forever home." Trunks told the kids as they all walked into their new fully-painted and set up house.
"Finally." Kishu happily announced, kicking his shoes off.
"I have my own room!" Teddy happily cried.
"You've always had your own room: Knickers and I were the ones who had to share a room." Kishu argued.
"Ok, that's enough. Behave or you'll all be sharing a room until you're eighteen." Trunks warned, watching Kishu and Teddy.
"It looks so nice in here." Bulma stated, looking around.
"Thank you." Trunks replied, carrying Lily.
"Do you want to get down and play?" Trunks asked Lily after a few minutes.
"K." Lily softly replied.
"Knickers, can you show Lily to her room?" Trunks asked, looking at his oldest.
"Sure. Come on, Lily." Knickers replied before taking Lily's hand.
"What is it?" Trunks asked Vegeta once the kids were elsewhere.
"You may want to tell your mother to chill out on that Sakira." Vegeta calmly instructed.
"Why?" Trunks asked, becoming suspicious.
"She's used half of those notecard things already." Vegeta replied, shocking Trunks.
"A third." Bulma corrected.
"Mom—don't overwhelm her. You're supposed to be using those sparingly." Trunks scolded his mother, shaking his head.
"You and Knickers have cards, don't you? I can always just use some of them." Bulma calmly stated.
"No. Mom, if you use all your questions, that's all you get. You can't ask Knickers or me for ours if you run out. Yes, she gave you those so you could ask her questions—over time; not all at once. Did you ever stop to think that if you ask to many questions at once and overwhelm Sakira, that she'll become overwhelmed and stop answering? Or worse: not show up for Lily?" Trunks questioned, scolding Bulma.
"I'm sorry, but I just have a lot of questions." Bulma apologized.
"So do I. But you have to remember to be careful. You could ask her the wrong question that could not only get her in some kind of trouble, but the rest of us as well. So far, none of us have forgotten what Poppy told us. I'd like to keep it that way, so we can't afford to lose or have our memories altered." Trunks calmly explained.
"What have you asked her?" Vegeta asked, watching Trunks in a way that caught his, Bulma, and Knickers's attention.
"I haven't asked her anything. It's not that I don't have time; it's just I've been more concerned with my kids—with gaining some kind of trust with Lily." Trunks answered.
"I haven't asked anything either. But that's because I don't know what to ask her. Why did you ask Dad about Sakira the way you did?" Knickers spoke up and then asked, letting them know he was there and knew they were talking about Sakira.
"I want to know that as well." Trunks and Bulma added.
"Don't you see? This Sakira is Trunks's proper mate." Vegeta replied, watching his wife, son, and grandson.
"Excuse me?" Trunks asked, shocked.
"Think of it. That Eel character stated that she had a proper mate—and so you did you—in the same damn sentence. The way you read her words, and the way you looked at her in the mall—even if she was disguised. Just think of when you actually see the real her. Don't even. You know damn well you'll see her in her true form eventually. Not to mention, the way the kids all react to her: none of them trust anybody they don't know. Lily: we all know why she loves Sakira. Teddy: she let Sakira pick her up and eagerly talks to her. Knickers: he was initially afraid of her taking Lily away, but the moment he met her, he relaxed. Don't even try denying it; I saw you. And Kishu: yes, he's interested in those game things, but he's been asking when you were going to see her again. Hell, they all see you like Sakira. Lily, maybe not because she's still so young, but the others know." Vegeta went on explaining.
"Ok, Dad: I get it; that's enough. I don't even know the girl—and she doesn't know me. She may not even have any interest in me." Trunks replied, placing his hand on his chest when he felt some kind of spasm.
"Trunks, are you ok?" Bulma immediately asked, concerned, noticing where he had his hand.
"I'm fine, Mom." Trunks replied, just fine.
"He can deny them all he wants; he already knows he feels something towards Sakira." Vegeta proudly insisted.
"Daddy!" Teddy cried, running over before anybody could say anything.
"What is it, Sweetie?" Trunks asked, watching Teddy.
"Lily's laying in her closet again." Teddy answered.
"*Sigh…* Again?" Trunks asked, sighing a little.
"Again?" Bulma asked, confused.
"Lily found the closet in the room at your place she was staying in; she kept going in it at night—no matter how many times I put her in bed. This is where I could use Sakira's help." Trunks explained, running his hand through his hair.
"What do you need?" Piccolo asked, appearing out of nowhere.
"Jesus! What are you doing here?" Bulma asked, a little freaked out.
"Sakira asked what you needed. She also asked that you slow down on sending her questions. Not only is it too much all at once; she's been sick." Piccolo answered and then spoke directly to Bulma.
"Sick?" Bulma asked, concerned.
"She's got that pneumonia. But she's not contagious; she's willing to help if needed. At the moment, she's just exhausted." Piccolo explained.
"What about her grandmother?" Vegeta asked, annoyed.
"Not home. She's visiting some friend; she used a spell to transport her there." Piccolo answered.
"Can you ask her how to get Lily to stop sleeping in the closet and in her bed instead?" Trunks asked, watching Piccolo.
"I'll be back with an answer." Piccolo replied before disappearing.
"Wait here for Piccolo; I'm going to check on Lily—alone." Trunks told the others before walking to Lily's room.
Sure enough, when he got there, Lily was lying in her closet.
"Lily, what are you doing?" Trunks asked, kneeling in front of the closet; she didn't reply.
"You have you very own bed out here, in your very own room." Trunks tried again.
Knock. Knock.
"Dad, Piccolo brought Sakira." Knickers spoke, standing at the door with a girl with long, dark brown hair and brown eyes.
"Another disguise?" Trunks asked, looking at Sakira, confused.
"Yep." Sakira answered, coughing a little.
"You know none of us here are going to hurt you, don't you?" Trunks asked, watching Sakira.
"I know. But it's a rule. If I leave my house, I have to wear a disguise. It's mainly so Nana can't find me. No, she's not home, but I still don't want her knowing. Can I come in?" Sakira explained before asking.
"Come in. Lily, Sakira's here." Trunks gently told Lily after allowing Sakira in.
"Sock-Ra?" Lily asked, interested.
"Hi, Lily." Sakira gently spoke, squatting next to Trunks.
'She smells nice.' Trunks thought to himself when he got a whiff of Sakira's scent.
"Sock-Ra!" Lily happily cried, crawling out of the closet.
"Eh. I'm sorry, Lily, but I can't stay. I'm just here to help your daddy and you. I'm not feeling very well right now, so I'm going to go back to my home and sleep in my bed. Now, if I'm not mistaken, you have your very own big-girl bed as well. Why don't you sleep in it?" Sakira told Lily before gently asking.
"I seep dare." Lily stated, pointing to the closet.
"No, you don't; you sleep in your big-girl bed. Lily, Sweetie; you're safe now. Nobody's going to hurt you anymore. You don't ever have to sleep in a closet on a cold floor ever again. Your daddy loves you so very much that he got you a very special bed. And it looks like you have a lot of nice clothes, blankets, pillows, toys, and all sorts of other things. The closet is for clothes and whatever else your daddy puts in there; it's not for you. Well, it is. But it's not for you to sleep in. Look. Look at how soft the bed is. If you promise to sleep in your bed like a big girl, I may have a present for you." Sakira gently told Lily before enticing her as she sat on her bed.
"Pesent me?" Lily asked, scurrying over.
"Come on up." Sakira instructed, patting the bed.
It took a few seconds, but Lily was able to climb the small steps to get into her bed.
"Good girl. Now, would you like stars and moons or Scooby and gang?" Sakira asked, conjuring up two mobiles.
"Stars an moons, pease?" Lily asked, pointing to the stars and moons mobile.
"Ok. Now, lie down and look up." Sakira instructed, making the mobile float up to the ceiling, placing a simple spell.
"What'd you do?" Kishu asked, walking in with the others.
"I placed a spell that'll keep Lily from leaving her bed at bed or naptime. The only time she'll be able to get out of bed is when it's time to get up, she has to use the bathroom, or get a drink of water. If she gets up for any of those reasons, the bed will call her back and she'll go there instead of the closet. The spell will break once she truly knows and understands she no longer sleeps in a closet. The mobile is just to help her sleep at night." Sakira calmly explained as Lily stared sat up.
"I don't suppose you could put that spell on Teddy and Kishu, could you?" Trunks asked, half-joking.
"Hey!" Kishu and Teddy complained right away.
"Well, if you'd just stay in your beds at night instead of getting up to play or whatever, I wouldn't have to ask." Trunks immediately scolded.
"I could if you really wanted. Stars and moons ok? All you have to do is hang them up; the spells are connected to the mobiles, themselves." Sakira explained, yawning.
However, that being said, two more mobiles appeared in front of Trunks.
"Dad, no! Please, no!" Kishu begged.
"They're so pretty." Teddy marveled at the mobile.
"I can make them invisible so you or whoever can't see them once they're hung up. And they only last until the child learns to stay in their bed on their own." Sakira insisted and explained.
"Fantastic. Does it matter which one goes where?" Trunks asked, looking at Sakira—who looked as if she were going to pass out at any minute.
"The green one is for Kishu and the purple one is for Teddy." Sakira explained just as the mobiles changed colors.
"Thanks." Trunks replied.
"No problem." Sakira replied, yawning even more.
"Sock-Ra, lay down." Lily insisted, pulling Sakira down to the bed.
"Maybe just a minute." Sakira replied. However, after only a few seconds, she was out cold.
"Oh, boy…" Piccolo sighed, walking over to Sakira. However, before he got over to her, Sakira was surrounded by a puff of smoke.
Once the smoke cleared, the true Sakira lay, sleeping in Lily's bed:
She had long, wavy violet hair like Lily's (maybe a little darker) down to her ankles. She had dark brown cat ears and an orange and yellow-striped cat tail. She wore frilly pajama shorts with a matching spaghetti-strapped sleep top.
The first thing everyone noticed was that Trunks couldn't stop staring at her.
"I knew it!" Vegeta happily exclaimed, watching Trunks, breaking everyone out of their trances.
"What are you going on about now?" Trunks asked, annoyed.
"Sakira is your mate. Just by watching you watch her, I can tell. Hey! Where the hell are you taking her?!" Vegeta answered before snapping at Piccolo.
"Yes, she is Trunks's proper mate, but I need to get her home before Nani gets home. It won't end well otherwise." Piccolo answered, lifting Sakira into his arms.
"How long have you known about them being mates?" Bulma asked, watching Piccolo.
"A long time. Since she was seven or eight maybe. It was never my place to say—and she doesn't know. Goodbye." Piccolo answered before disappearing with Sakira.
"Sock-Ra?" Lily asked, confused before she started bawling.
"It's ok, Baby. I'm sure you'll see her again." Trunks promised Lily, lifting her into his arms to rock her.
"Can he just take her like that?" Knickers asked, annoyed.
"Unfortunately, yes. For now, we'll just leave it alone. Next time I see Sakira, I'll talk to her—whether it makes her grandmother upset or not; she has a right to know." Trunks answered before explaining.
"Right." Knickers replied with a smile; he liked Sakira—despite not knowing her.
"She was very pretty." Teddy spoke up.
"Yes, she was." Trunks agreed, rocking Lily, slowly calming her down…
