Two Weeks Later:
It's been two weeks since Sakira came and made it so Lily no longer slept in the closet—and so that Kishu and Teddy stayed in bed at night. It's been quiet since then.
"Daddy, where are we going?" Teddy asked, walking into the kitchen with her backpack, rubbing her eyes.
"Yeah, where are we going?" Kishu and Knickers asked, walking over.
"It's a surprise." Bulma answered, popping up out of nowhere.
"So, it's a family thing. But why so early?" Knickers noted before asking.
"Yes, it's a family thing. Aside from being a surprise, it's far enough away that we thought it best to leave early to beat the traffic." Trunks answered, rocking Lily.
"Should we invite Sakira? She's family, right?" Teddy asked, hopeful.
"As much as I'd like to invite Sakira; I don't think she'd be allowed. And as much as we want her to be, she's not our family." Trunks calmly explained.
"But you want her to be our family, don't you?" Kishu asked, making a point.
"Yes, I'd like Sakira to be part of our family, but that doesn't mean she wants to be. But we haven't heard from her since the last time we saw her." Trunks answered, sighing a little.
Knock. Knock. Knock.
"That must be them." Bulma informed Trunks when someone knocked on the door.
"I'll get it." Vegeta sighed, heading to the door.
"Sorry if we're late." Chi-Chi, Gohan, and Goten apologized, walking in with Goku, Videl, Pan, and Vego.
"No, you're not late; you're actually a little early." Trunks replied.
"They're coming with?" Teddy excitedly asked.
"They're family as well." Bulma replied with a smile.
"Yay!" Teddy excitedly cheered, nearly waking Lily and Vego.
"Shhh… Your sister and cousin are still sleeping." Trunks calmly scolded Teddy.
"Sorry." Teddy apologized.
Knock. Knock.
"Now, I wonder who that could be." Bulma replied.
"I don't know. Everyone's here, that I know of." Trunks replied, handing Lily over to Bulma before heading to the door.
He opened the door, shocked to see nobody there.
"Uncle Trunks?" A small voice asked from below.
"Chiulma?" Trunks asked, confused, lifting her into his arms while looking around. Nobody else was there.
"Who is it?" Vegeta demanded as Trunks closed the door.
"Chiulma." Trunks answered, walking over with Chiulma in his arms.
"Chiulma? Oh, my God! What happened?" Goten and Chi-Chi demanded, meeting Trunks halfway.
"I don't know. She was just there, alone, at the door." Trunks answered, handing Goten his daughter—after Chi-Chi took Vego from Goten.
"Daddy!" Chiulma cried, burying her head in his shoulder.
"What happened?" Goten asked, rubbing her back.
"Mommy doesn't love me no more!" Chiulma cried.
"Whatever do you mean?" Goten, Chi-Chi, Bulma, Vegeta, and even Goku asked, confused.
"Her boyfriend, Chip says I'm not his, so she would have to choose between him and me. She chose him, saying I was nothing but trouble." Chiulma answered, shocking everyone in the room.
"Oh, Baby…" "I know I was very mean to everybody, but I'm sorry—very sorry." Goten started, only to be interrupted by Chiulma apologizing.
"It's not ok, but we'll all get over it—eventually." Knickers replied first.
"I'm not going to be a girly-girl and wear dresses or stop playing in the mud." Teddy immediately added.
"Daddy, can I live with you? I promise to be a good girl and try to do better with not being so pushy." Chiulma asked, promising to be good. She was so afraid that he wouldn't want her as well, and she'd be all alone.
"Of course, you can come live with us. You're still my daughter, and I still and will always love you. You and your brother will always be the most important two in my life." Goten replied, hugging his daughter close.
"What are we going to do about vacation now? Do we have enough room? And she doesn't have anything." Kishu asked before stating.
"Of course, we have enough room. We're not going to leave her behind; she's family. We'll stop at a store or something to get her what she'll need." Bulma and Chi-Chi simultaneously answered.
"Well, we'd better be headed out then." Trunks insisted, walking to the door.
"I agree." Chi-Chi happily replied.
"Let's head out." Bulma told everyone else, following Trunks.
Four Hours Later:
11:30 AM:
"We're here!" Bulma and Chi-Chi excitedly announced, pulling into a hotel parking lot.
"Where is here?" Pan, Knickers, and Kishu asked, looking out their windows. Teddy, Vego, Chiulma, and Lily were all still asleep.
Bulma rented a coach van for a week: Sunday night until Sunday afternoon.
A coach van is a coach bus that has been converted into a van for large or extended family trips. The one Bulma rented could fit up to twenty people and was child-safe.
Like a bus, the driver's seat was the only one directly up front, and most seats behind them could fit two people per seat.
Unlike a bus, seats were far enough apart that everyone had enough legroom.
Also, unlike a bus, each seat had two seatbelts—one for each passenger. There were also spots for car seat hookups.
There was a SMALL bathroom in the back left corner of the bus. The right area in the backend was for the luggage.
Bulma drove with Chi-Chi and Videl behind her.
On the other side of the aisle, across from Chi-Chi and Videl, were Vegeta and Knickers.
Vego and Chiulma were behind Chi-Chi and Videl. Teddy and Lily were behind Vegeta and Knickers.
Trunks and Kishu sat behind Teddy and Lily. Goku and Goten sat behind Vego and Chiulma.
Pan wanted her own spot, so she sat two seats behind Trunks and Kishu while Gohan sat behind Goku and Goten.
"We are at a very fancy hotel and spa—with a waterpark just up the road a mile or so." Bulma answered with a smile.
"Yay! Finally something fun to do!" Kishu excitedly exclaimed.
"Now, what does that mean?" Trunks asked, watching Kishu.
"It means—we haven't done anything fun since we went to get Lily." Kishu slowly answered.
"Uh-huh. Then what are the Nintendo Switch things that I finally let you have the other day from Sakira?" Trunks asked, watching his son.
"I only got to play it once." Kishu mumbled.
"I thought you hadn't heard from Sakira." Bulma spoke, watching Trunks.
"I hadn't. Piccolo brought the switches for the kids. Something happened and Sakira's been a little—out of it if you will. Uhh… But Piccolo brought several of them: two regular and six or seven Lites. Piccolo said Sakira had more than she thought she had—and she doesn't understand it other than Nani. We keep the regular one in the living room, and then Knickers, Kishu, Teddy, and Lily each have a Switch Lite. Because Lily's too young, I put hers in a closet. I gave Goten one of the regular switches and let Vego have a Switch Lite as well. However, that's up to Goten when he gets to use it. I was just going to sell the rest, but if Goten wants one for Chiulma as well, that's just fine." Trunks answered as Chi-Chi and Videl got Teddy, Vego, Chiulma, and Lily out of their car seats.
"Daddy." Lily mumbled, rubbing her eyes before lifting her arms.
"Hi, Princess. Hi, Teddy. How are my girls?" Trunks greeted before asking Teddy and Lily, lifting them both into his arms.
"Where are we?" Teddy asked, confused, while Lily remained silent.
"We're at a hotel and spa for the week. Then, there's a waterpark around here that we'll go to a few times." Trunks answered with a smile.
"Yay! But—what about Lily? She doesn't like water like pools." Teddy happily exclaimed before asking, concerned.
"Don't worry about Lily; I'll take care of her." Trunks replied, holding his girls.
"Ok. Can I get down and walk now?" Teddy asked, watching Trunks.
"Once we get inside." Trunks answered, watching all the traffic.
"Ok." Teddy kind of mumbled.
"Are we all sharing a room?" Kishu asked, looking at everyone.
"Yes, Sir. I rented the penthouse suite all the way up on the eighth floor. From what I understand, it's the entire floor. So, while we may all be sharing a room, we're not actually sharing a room. And when we get in there, we will tell you all how room assignments are going to play out." Bulma happily answered.
"So, what are we waiting for? Let's head in. Men: get the suitcases and everything. We've got the kids." Chi-Chi declared, lifting Chiulma into her arms while Videl took Vego. Meanwhile, Pan followed along, smiling at her cousins.
"Kishu, Knickers, Teddy, and Lily: listen to Grandma. Teddy, I need you to go with Grandma. No, you cannot walk; there's too much traffic. Do not argue with me. If you promise to behave, we can see, with a buddy, how well you do without a car seat on the way home." Trunks firmly told his children before speaking to Teddy, handing her to Bulma.
"What about Lily? You're not going to let her walk, are you?" Teddy innocently asked.
"No, of course not; she's so much smaller than you. If I'm not going to let you walk, I'm certainly not going to let her walk. I'm going to have Knickers carry her in." Trunks replied, getting ready to hand Lily to Knickers.
"Can I carry Lily inside? Knickers wanted to help you all carry suitcases and such inside." Kishu asked right away.
"Do you think you can carry her inside without dropping her?" Trunks sternly asked, watching Kishu.
"Yes; she's very light. And yes, I can see just fine. Please. I want a chance to show you I can take care of Lily as well as Knicker. I can be just as responsible with her—and Teddy. I just can't carry Teddy like I can with Lily." Kishu pleaded his case.
"*Sigh…* Fine, you can carry her if she'll let you. Also, if I let you do this, I want you to stay in between Grandma and Aunt Chi-Chi or between Aunt Chi-Chi and Aunt Videl. Do you understand me? Not behind or in front of them: between them." Trunks firmly told Kishu.
"Yes, of course. But what if I'm behind Aunt Chi-Chi, but in front of Grandma?" Kishu questioned with a smile.
"Quit being smart. But yes, that's fine—as long as you're between them. Now, Lily: Kishu is going to carry you into the hotel, ok? Knickers, Grandpa, Uncle Goku, Uncle Goten, Uncle Gohan, and I will be in shortly with all of our bags. Be a good girl for your big brother." Trunks gently told Lily.
"K. Kishy." Lily replied, waiting.
'Kishy…' Kishu thought with those blue lines over his forehead.
"Behave." Trunks mouthed to Kishu, handing him Lily.
"Come on, Lily." Kishu started following Bulma and Chi-Chi with Videl and Pan behind him.
"Welcome to South City's Natsu Cho Niji-Kawa Resort and Spa—home of the original Natsu Cho Niji-Kawa Resort and Spa. We now have a fully built location in East City, and one being built in North City, with plans to start one in West City. However, so far, we are the only ones with a massive water park a mile and a half up the road. Natsu Cho is the hotel and Niji-Kawa is the spa. How may be of service to you? Or do you perhaps have a reservation?" A receptionist politely explained before asking.
"Yes, I have a reservation under Bulma Briefs. I've paid in advance." Bulma replied.
"Ok. Let's see… Bulma Briefs. Can you please spell your last name for me?" The receptionist asked, looking up from her computer.
"B-R-I-E-F-S." Bulma answered, completely understanding. A few months ago, she met someone with the last name "Briefs." Only it was spelled B-R-E-E-F-S.
"Ok… Ah. Here you are. You wanted the presidential penthouse suite on the top floor. Does that sound correct?" The receptionist asked, looking up at Bulma again.
"Yes, that's correct." Bulma answered, shifting Teddy a little.
"Of course. Is it just you ladies and the children?" The receptionist suspiciously questioned, looking at the group in front of her.
'Why do these ladies with a teenager, two children, and three toddlers need the presidential penthouse suite for? That floor is way too big for just them. Fuck. If I were them, I'd want to get rid of the children for a little bit and just have a smaller room. I knew my friends could've had their party there for the next three days. Damn the rich.' The receptionist bitterly thought to herself.
"No. Do you really think that just us would need a suite that big?" Pan responded, annoyed.
"Pan, that's enough." Videl scolded her daughter.
"No, it's not just us; we're just waiting on our husbands, sons, and my oldest grandson to come in with the luggage." Bulma answered as politely as she could.
"Is there a problem here?" A man in his late forties, maybe, asked, walking over.
"No, Sir." The receptionist replied.
"Ma'ams?" The man asked, watching Bulma and Chi-Chi.
"No problem here. Just some miscommunication on how many people are in our party." Bulma politely replied.
"And you would be?" The man asked with a smile, watching Bulma.
"Bulma Briefs. I paid in advance, a few months ago for the presidential penthouse suite for my family." Bulma answered.
"Oh, of course. I'm Reginald Jima—the owner of this fine establishment." The man, Reginald Jima, replied, leaning against the counter.
"Hey, where are we taking this stuff?" Vegeta asked, annoyed. He immediately walked over to Bulma and placed his arm around her shoulders.
"Do you know this man?" Reginald questioned, watching Bulma and Vegeta.
"This is my husband, Vegeta. I'm just waiting on our room keys. And then we'll take the elevator up to the eighth floor." Bulma answered Vegeta.
"Oh. I'm sorry, but the presidential penthouse suite is now unavailable. Fucking tease. She'll get hers." Reginald spoke, turning to walk away before mumbling.
"Excuse me?! What the hell does that mean?!" Vegeta roared, pissed off.
"Calm down, Dear; I have this handled. Stay with your grandfather. As for you… Uhh… I don't think so. One: I paid for that room three months ago after being told about it by your mother-in-law. Who from what I understand, is, along with her husband, the one who paid to have these built for her daughter—who you're married to. I can't help but wonder what they will say when I tell them about you hitting on me the way you were. Two: Your mother-in-law told me about this establishment, warning me about you and how you are when my husband and best male friend saved her from something or other. Three: my husband, son, best male friend, his sons, and our children are all Saiyans of some sort. So, I think it's best you don't try anything because it will not end well. Finally: if it weren't for my father, my sister, and myself, you wouldn't have all the technology or equipment to build this or any other building you may be building. So, don't mess with me or my family." Bulma firmly told Reginald off.
"Why you…" "That's quite enough. Thank you, Mrs. Bulma, for everything. Excuse me, Hana. You: just how many woman or other young girls have you hit on and taken care of? I want a divorce. Oh, and just so you know: you don't own this resort and spa, or any other resort and spas being built. Eh! No. My parents are the ones who own them; they are the ones who paid for them to be built and everything. Mrs. Briefs: I'm terribly sorry for the inconvenience and trouble of my soon-to-be ex-husband. This is a gift card with half of what you paid for the suite. You may use it at any of the gift shops or cafés here or anywhere in the waterpark. Hana, I now know my husband has been harassing you the most out of all the girls here. I'm sorry you and your friends couldn't have the presidential penthouse suite this weekend. However, once Mrs. Briefs and her family leave at the end of their seven days, give it a day for the area to be cleaned, and you may have it for two days on me for whatever you wish. And here are your suite keys." Reginald started, only to be interrupted by his wife.
"Thank you." Bulma politely thanked Reginald's wife, taking eight suite keys.
"Now can I walk?" Teddy whined, watching Trunks.
"Stay with everyone. That means where I can see you. Kishu, let Grandma carry Lily now." Trunks firmly told Teddy and then Kishu.
"Yes, Daddy." Teddy happily replied.
"Ok." Kishu replied, setting Lily in front of Bulma.
"Will you let me pick you up?" Bulma gently asked Lily.
"Yeah." Lily softly replied, lifting her arms.
"You are too adorable. I miss when your big sister was adorable too." Bulma told Lily with a smile, happily lifting her into her arms.
"I was never adorable." Teddy argued.
"Oh, but you were: I have pictures." Bulma retorted with a smile as they walked to the elevators.
Bulma, Chi-Chi, Videl, and the young children took one elevator.
Trunks, Vegeta, Goku, Goten, and Gohan took another elevator with most of the luggage.
Pan, Knickers, and Kishu took a different elevator with the rest of the luggage.
"Where are all the doors?" Teddy asked, confused once they all met up on the eighth floor.
"There's only one door up here—for us. There's a door for hotel staff only, but for us, there's just the one door. And that door is right here." Bulma answered, showing Teddy and the others their door for the next week.
"Isn't a penthouse where people go to have sex?" Kishu asked, curious, shocking the adults. At the same time, Knickers just smacked his forehead.
"How did you come to that conclusion?" Trunks asked, watching Kishu.
"Mr. Jin. He said that's where whores go to duck—except it's not duck, but rather the "F" word that rhymes with it." Kishu answered.
"Of course, he did. And I think we got your "duck" analogy. I'll let you off this time, but you're not allowed to say "whore" either. That goes for all of you. We'll talk about Jin when we get home; we want this vacation to go well. For now, we'll just say that Jin wasn't a good guy." Trunks told Kishu and the rest of his children before telling his parents and the others.
"That goes for you two as well; you're not allowed to be swearing either." Goten told Vego and Chiulma.
"Yes, Daddy." Vego, Chiulma, and Teddy replied.
"Yes, I'm sorry." Kishu apologized.
"Of course." Knickers replied. However, he already kind of swore—and Trunks knew. As long as he didn't say certain words, he was fine. Or if he was saying certain words, he better hope Trunks, Vegeta, Bulma, or even Goten, Chi-Chi, or Goku hear him.
Lily just nodded her head that she understood.
"And no: a penthouse isn't for sex. I'm sure it can be used for that—and for parties. But for families like ours; we use it for a nice family vacation." Trunks awkwardly explained.
"But anyway: let's head in and look around." Bulma insisted, opening the door.
"Oh, wow. This is nice." Chi-Chi marveled, looking around.
"Nice? This is an entire apartment! An entire amazing apartment. This is the best apartment I've ever seen in my entire life!" Kishu exclaimed, walking in.
"He's not wrong." Knickers stated, looking around.
"Let's have a look around." Videl insisted, going left.
Fifteen Minutes Later:
"This place is huge!" Teddy excitedly exclaimed, running around.
"It's certainly bigger than I thought it was gonna be. Or it's bigger than you described." Trunks spoke before looking at Bulma.
"No. It is a little bigger than I thought it was going to be. I wonder if maybe I clicked the wrong room or something. Or maybe I was looking on the wrong floor. I could've sworn I was told about a penthouse suite that was maybe half this size. But there's nothing I can do about it now. This is what we got." Bulma replied, bouncing Lily a little.
"Here. I'll take her." Trunks insisted, taking Lily from Bulma; she was becoming fussy.
"What's wrong?" Knickers asked, concerned.
"Diaper change, I do believe." Trunks replied before grabbing the to-go diaper bag and walked to the bathroom.
"That reminds me: you two are in diapers as well. Come on; we'll put you back in your undies now that we're not in the bus." Goten told Vego and Chiulma, taking them to a different bathroom.
"All better?" Bulma and Chi-Chi asked when Trunks and Goten walked out with Lily, Vego, and Chiulma.
"Much." Trunks and Goten replied.
"So, what's the plan? Where will everyone be sleeping?" Chi-Chi asked, watching Bulma.
"Well, Vegeta and I will get the master bed area on the left. You and Goku can have the master bed area on the right. Gohan and Videl will get the bed area a few feet from you and Goku. Pan: because you're the only teenaged girl, you'll be getting the bed area next to your parents with a queen bed. Goten: you'll be at the final bed area on that side of the penthouse; it also has a queen bed. Trunks: you'll be in the bed area next to your father and me. Then in the final bed area we'll put Knickers. And finally with Kishu, Teddy, Lily, Chiulma, and Vego, I figured we'd let them sleep in the middle area with some air mattresses." Bulma answered Chi-Chi, delegating where everyone would be.
"Works for me." Everyone responded with smiles—except Knickers.
"Can I sleep on the couch or something?" Knickers asked, speaking up.
"Don't you want your own are?" Chi-Chi asked, kind of stunned.
"No. I'd honestly like to stay with my siblings." Knickers answered.
"He's been very protective of Lily and has just wanted to keep an eye on her since she was able to leave the hospital. Actually, he tried staying at the hospital as well. If that's what you truly want, you can sleep on the couch. But that bed area is there for whenever you want." Trunks explained to Chi-Chi before speaking to Knickers.
"Yes, I understand." Knickers replied with a smile.
"Well, enough about all that. When do we get to go to the waterpark?" Kishu changed the subject, noticing a Farris Wheel a good ways away out the window.
"Maybe later. Maybe not even at all today. Right now, we need to get everything unpacked, set up, and figure out what we're doing for lunch—now that it's about noon. Then I have to figure out how I'm gonna get Lily to understand that water isn't bad and that nothing will happen to her as long as one of us is with her. Maybe we'll just stay in tonight except for dinner because I know Grandma has something planned for that. But there's a pool downstairs somewhere; we can go swimming there and then tomorrow we can do the waterpark." Trunks calmly told Kishu, giving him "the look."
"We actually have our own pool up here for the week—and a few hot tubs." Bulma noted, pointing to a door marked indoor presidential penthouse pool room.
"Cool. There are even slides in there." Teddy marveled, ready to go in.
"Eh. No, no, no. I don't think so. I can't speak for Goten or Gohan and Videl, but except for Knickers, none of you are allowed to go in there alone. Knickers is allowed because he's nearly twelve; he's old enough and can swim. Kishu… If Knickers says ok; you can go in with him. That doesn't mean you can go begging him. Either way, I need to be informed if you want to go swimming. That includes you too, Knickers." Trunks firmly told his kids.
"Yes, Dad." Knickers and Kishu replied.
"But I know how to swim, Daddy." Teddy argued.
"Don't start, or you won't be going swimming at all." Trunks warned Teddy.
"Yes, Daddy. Sorry." Teddy quickly apologized.
"Does the same go for us?" Vego and Chiulma asked Goten.
"What do you two think?" Goten asked, narrowing his eyes.
"Yes?" Vego and Chiulma asked, watching Goten.
"Very good. Go play, but don't touch anything." Goten told the two.
"What about me?" Pan asked, watching Gohan and Videl.
"You can go in by yourself, that's fine. But you need to ask us first. It lets us know as well where you are. Oh, and you're not allowed to leave the room by yourself." Videl answered after looking at Gohan.
"Do you mean my bed area or the entire penthouse?" Pan asked with a smile.
"Cute. You know what we mean." Gohan replied with a sigh.
"I know. I'm going to set up my area. What's wrong with Lily?" Pan replied with a smile. She then asked when she saw Lily run to Trunks after Chiulma tried talking to her.
"They didn't have a first good meeting. Chiulma: like we told Vego: you just need to give Lily some time. I'll talk and explain things to her later. Ok?" Trunks answered Pan for gently telling Chiulma.
"Ok. I just wanted to apologize to her, though." Chiulma sadly replied.
"I know. Lily: Chiulma has something she'd like to say to you." Trunks sighed before telling Lily, setting her in front of him and Chiulma.
"Hi, Lily. I'm sorry for how I treated you that first day we met. I'm sorry I ran after you and tried touching your ears and tail. I just thought they were very neat; I had never seen anyone with cat ears or a tail before. I'm also sorry I only considered you as a life-sized doll for me to play with. You're a living person just like me, and that's how you should be treated. So, again; I'm sorry." Chiulma sincerely apologized to Lily.
Lily just stared at Chiulma, only understanding that she was telling her she was sorry—and that she liked her ears and tail.
"I'm sorry, Uncle Trunks." Chiulma sadly apologized to Trunks after a few minutes.
"It's ok. Lily just doesn't understand things like you, Vego, and the others do yet. But she'll get there." Trunks gently told Chiulma.
"Tank you." Lily softly thanked Chiulma, holding her ears as Trunks lifted her into his arms.
"Wow. She spoke to you. That's more than she's done with me—other than playing games." Vego told Chiulma with a smile.
"Do you want down to play?" Trunks asked, watching Lily.
"No. Hungy." Lily softly replied, hiding her face in his shoulder.
"Ok…" Trunks sighed, rubbing her back.
"Everybody write what you want down and Chi-Chi, Videl, and I will go out and get food." Bulma insisted with a smile…
