Clone Ness woke up first. He turned to face his boyfriend. Lucas was still in a deep sleep. He's so cute. Ness pecked his cheek and held him. 30 more minutes go by and Lucas finally wakes up.

"Hm?" Lucas rubbed his eyes.

"Good morning, cutie."

"Hmph!" Lucas blushes.

"Aww c'mon don't gimme that."

"You're a perv, you know that right?"

"What? Me? A perv? Pssshh no."

"When I said let's go another round I didn't mean me."

"Oh I totally thought you wanted it."

"Well I mean… I did but…"

"See? You're a perv too."

"Don't lump me in with you."

"Hey," Ness smiled.

"What?"

"You're hot."

"Get out of here," Lucas pushed Ness's face away.

Lucas got out of bed and got dressed. Ness followed after. The two left the room and decided to go get breakfast. They went to a coffee shop and a live jazz concert was playing. It was nice. They sipped on some coffee and ate delicious breakfast food. They left the cafe and walked around for a bit. Eventually they found a bench to sit on.

"What do you wanna do after this?" Lucas asked.

"Hmm, we can go hang out with our other friends."

"No, I like it when it's just you and me."

"Honestly, me too."

Ness grabbed Lucas's hand in his. They stared at each other for a bit. Lucas has never been happier in his life. They closed their eyes. Ness grabbed Lucas's chin and was pulling him closer.

"Hey, Ness!" Leaf beamed.

"Gah!" The two boys screamed.

They immediately pulled away from each other. Ness was blushing and he didn't want Leaf to notice. She might have realized what they were about to do, so he pulled his hat down to his face.

Leaf: "Hey, guys how's it hanging?"

Ness: "H-hey, Leaf."

Leaf: "Hm? Sorry, did I interrupt something?"

Lucas: "Um, no. We were just sitting and talking."

Leaf: "Sorry, I was taking a walk with my Pokemon and I saw you two. I thought I'd say hi."

Ness: "Wow, hahaha… What great timing."

Squirtle jumped on Lucas and started licking him like a dog. He couldn't help but laugh.

Leaf: "You don't mind if I hang out for a bit?"

Ness: "S-sure. Um, well let me introduce you guys. Lucas this is my friend Leaf and Leaf this is my best pal Lucas."

Leaf: "Nice to meet you."

Lucas: "Nice to meet you too."

Leaf took a seat next to Ness.

Ness: "How's Red doing?"

Leaf: "He went to court."

Ness: "What! What did he do?"

Leaf: "Oh, no, he's not in trouble. He just had to serve jury duty."

Ness: "Aww that's annoying."

Leaf: "It seems like he wanted to go though, which is odd."

Ness: "Who likes jury duty?"

Leaf: "Him, I guess."

Ness: "Do you like jury duty, Lucas?"

Lucas: "No."

Ness: (Well this is awkward.)

Leaf: "Did you guys wanna take my Pokemon out for a walk?"

Ness: "Yeah! Lucas you don't mind, right?"

Lucas: "I don't mind."

Squirtle hopped on Lucas's head. Leaf threw out Ivysaur and Charizard too. They went to the PokePark where they could roam and interact with the other Pokemon that were in the game. However, Squirtle refused to let go of Lucas. Leaf thought it was cute. Once Squirtle attaches to someone, he doesn't leave for a while.

The three sat on a picnic table and started chatting. Ness and Leaf were chatting up a storm, but Lucas was quiet. He didn't know how to approach and they seemed to be doing their own thing, he didn't want to intrude.

Leaf: "It sucks, I tried to book a doctor's appointment, but I couldn't get through to her."

Ness: "Seriously?"

Leaf: "She must be busy. A lot of injuries have been going on lately."

Ness: "So she's just booked?"

Leaf: "I don't know. All I know is that I tried to get a hold of her and couldn't. I even called the facility, but they said that they haven't seen her."

Ness: "Do you think something happened to her?"

Leaf: "I do. She's always there, so for her to suddenly not see her patients is odd."

Ness: "She could be on vacation."

Leaf: "Well then the receptionists would've told me."

Ness: "That's true."

Leaf: "I'm going to go look for another doctor."

Ness: "Why do you need to see a doctor so bad?"

Leaf: "I haven't seen one in 6 months. It's time for a check up."

Ness: "I wonder what it's like."

Leaf: "You've… Never been to a doctor's appointment?"

Ness: "Of course I have! I just… What I meant to say is I wonder what it's like to be a doctor. Your doctor might have run away due to stress."

Leaf: "I doubt it. I'm convinced that the imposter got to her."

Ness: "Let's not think about the negative. I'm sure she'll show up."

Leaf: "Yeah. I hope she's ok. I'm still going to look for a new doctor though."

Ding!

Ness and Lucas's phone dinged at the same time. They both checked their phones and saw that Popo messaged them in the group chat.

Lucas: "Oh, I forgot but this just reminded me. I can't hang out later. I've been scheduled to be at a search party."

Ness: "Oh shit that's right. I forgot The Hands are doing that. I might have missed mine."

Lucas: "What! It's super important that we attend."

Ness: "Yeah… Well I don't keep track of those things."

Leaf: "Wait, you've been scheduled tonight too?!"

Lucas: "Y-yeah."

Leaf: "Me too! We can totally get to know each other."

Lucas: "Yay…"

Ness: "What! But… Wait… What?"

Leaf: "Is something wrong, Ness?"

Ness: "N-no, it's just… I dunno you two are totally different people. It might be awkward."

Leaf: "Teehee~ Ness are you jealous because you're not included?"

Ness: "No!"

Leaf: "You're so cute when you're jealous."

Ness: "Am not!" *Blushes*

Leaf: "I think this is good for us. The three of us can hang out more. Who knows, he and I might become best buds, right Lucas?"

Lucas: "Y-yeah."

Lucas started texting on his phone.

Lucas: "I have to be a part of the search party tonight."

Ness: "Wait is Nana gonna be there? If she's there i'm out"

Popo: "dude I talked to her. She says she won't bother ya."

Ness: "Are u surre?"

Popo: "Yeah dude she'll be there but we're all gonna watch her."

Ness: "Ok fine i'm down"

Popo: "see u at 9"

Ness started to panic. Leaf and Lucas are going to be alone together later tonight. This isn't good. What if they say something about him? What if they figure out that he's dating both of them?! They'll figure out that he's been cheating. Oh no, and what if word gets out. Then Mario will know for sure and then he'll replace him!

Leaf: "Ness are you ok? You look nervous."

Ness: "Yeah, I'm fine. Everything's great. My two best buds are going to hang out with each other. I couldn't be happier."

Leaf: "Don't worry, we're not gonna talk about you."

Ness: "You're not?"

Leaf: "Nope. I want to get to know Lucas. I already know everything about you."

Lucas: "I'm flattered."

Leaf: "I promise I won't bring you up if that's what you're afraid of."

Ness: "Oh."

Leaf: "Don't be such a nervous wreck."

Leaf put her arms around Ness's neck. He tensed up. Oh god, she shouldn't be doing this in front of Lucas. He might get the wrong idea. Lucas gave the two a look. Oh no, is he assuming? Ness suddenly stood up.

Ness: "Anyway, let's go play with the Pokemon haha…"

Leaf: "Yeah! I would love that."

Leaf ran off to go play with her Charizard.

Lucas: "Um, what was that about?"

Ness: "I… Don't know."

Lucas: "Do you think she has a crush on you?"

Ness: "Leaf? Nooooo. She's a touchy person, that's all."

Lucas: "Hm, I dunno. It seems like she has a thing for you."

Ness: "No, I doubt it."

Lucas: "No offense but you're kind of oblivious."

Ness: "No I'm not!"

Lucas: "I had a crush on you for so long and you never got it until now."

Ness: "It wasn't obvious."

Lucas: "Everyone thought we were dating."

Ness: "Fair…"

Lucas: "I think she likes you."

Ness: "Too bad I'm gay."

Lucas: "Yeah…"

Ness: "Hey, you don't have to worry about her. You know I only have eyes for you. Besides, she's touchy like that with Red too."

Lucas: "She is?"

Ness: "Yeah, she's just like that once she gets comfortable with someone."

Lucas: "Yeah, ok."

Ness: "Now c'mon let's go play with the Pokemon."

Lucas: "Ok."

The three ran around the park playing with lots of Pokemon. It was really fun. Even Lucas was getting into it. It made Ness happy to see his boyfriend warming up to them. But Ness could tell that he still wasn't fully comfortable. Which is fine. He hoped that because of Lucas's awkwardness that nothing would go wrong with him and Leaf. Besides, she said she wasn't going to talk about him.

Once it was close to 9, Ness said his goodbye. He left the two and went to his room. It's time to get ready for the party. It sucks that Lucas isn't there, but it'll be fine. Everything is going to be fine.

He dug into his closet to find nice clothes. Although honestly, all of his clothes were nice. His original had style and that was the one thing going for him. Hmm perhaps he should dress simple tonight. He put on a sweater and a t-shirt hoodie over it. For his pants he decided on a pair of cargo pants instead of the shorts that he usually wears. He put on his signature red and blue cap and threw on his backpack. He sprayed cologne and put on deodorant. Alright, he's all ready to go~

-Lost In Melee Mountain-

Ness was able to make it back to land. He laid on the ground for a bit. He didn't know where he was. He was lost before, but now he's really lost. There was no sign of trail anyway. He walked for a bit looking for anything. All he could see was trees and more trees. This isn't the smartest idea, but he decided to rest next to a random tree. His eyes grew heavy and he finally allowed himself to fall asleep.

7 hours go by and he finally wakes up. It's dark out. He looks up at the sky and sees the night sky. It's almost a full moon tonight. That's a relief at least it's not pitch black. He gets up and starts walking. He didn't know where exactly he was going, but hopefully he can find shelter. He kept walking and walking until he heard a voice. It was faint, but he heard someone. It's definitely a person's voice. He followed it. It could be survivors. Although he has to be careful. He wouldn't dare call out for help. They could be enemies, so stalking them is the smart choice.

"Hello? Is anyone there?" The voice called out.

Could this person also be lost? No, he shouldn't get his hopes up. This person could also be dangerous. He continued to follow the voice as quietly as possible.

"I heard some rustlin. I know someone is there. If you need help, I built a cabin. Feel free to make yourself at home," The voice said.

It sounded farther away. The person probably gave up and is currently walking away. A cabin, huh? The Ice Climbers did tell him in the past about survivors living in the mountains. They made friends with some. They said that these survivors are fellow spirits from smash. They just enjoy living in the outdoors. Ness decided to let his guard down a little. He continued to follow the voice until he saw the cabin.

The cabin was lit up. It looked warm inside. Ness wanted to cry. He's been sleeping in a cave in the cold hard ground for 8 months. He forgot what anything homey felt like. He fantasized about going in there and sleeping on an actual bed. A warm bed with a pillow and everything. There's probably a dinner table with actual seats. There's probably food! Actual food. No more cat food. His mouth started to water.

He walked a bit closer and he smelled something delicious. Whoever that person is, they're cooking dinner right now. It smelled like barbeque. He wondered what this person was cooking. A nice juicy medium rare steak sounds delicious. He could kill for some steak.

Ness couldn't take it anymore. He wanted to watch and study this mysterious person, but he was so desperate. He ran to the cabin and knocked on the door. He heard footsteps coming closer to the door. Ness thought about running away, but his thoughts were interrupted when the door swung open.

Ness's eyes widened in shock. He couldn't believe it.

"S-SIMON?!"
