The Na'vi woman merely stared at her silently before getting up and walked away from Lia, going over to where another Viperwolf was and sent a prayer for the small, wild animal, as Jake came over to her.
"Look, I know you probably don't understand this,"Jake, who had walked over and crouched down opposite the Na'vi woman."but thank you."
"Jake!"Lia hissed at him in disbelief, knowing that the Na'vi woman wouldn't take too kindly to Jake's gratitude, but thankfully, the Na'vi ignored him in favor of continuing her prayer.
"Thank you."He tried again, ignoring Lia's warning glance, and watched as the Na'vi woman pulled out the arrow."That was pretty impressive."The Na'vi woman glanced up at Jake, who had finally looked away from her, and Lia wanted to facepalm herself as Jake continued speaking;"I would have been screwed if you hadn't come along. It was..."He trailed off as the Na'vi woman got up and walked away from the Siblings."Hey, wait a second!"Jake got to his feet."Hey, where are you going?"
Lia mentally groaned as Jake started following the Na'vi woman."Jake, don't follow her!"Lia called after him, but Jake ignored her."Why does he never listen to me? He's gonna get himself killed."Lia whined under her breath.
"Wait up! Just... Hey, slow down."Lia followed after the duo, watching as Jake finally reached out to her."Look, wait up, I just want to say thanks for killing those things."Jake grabbed at her arm, trying to stop her from walking off, only to get whacked in the face by the Na'vi woman's bow, causing him to cry out."Damn!"
Lia paused and stared before she bit down on her lower lip to stop herself from laughing at Jake, but it was obvious that she was laughing due to the shaking of her shoulders, not that the woman or Jake noticed.
"Don't thank."The Na'vi woman said in broken English, her soft voice, surprising the Siblings, as she pointed her bow at Jake, while bending down to look him in the eyes."You don't thank for this."Her ears were pinned back and her tail swished in anger."This is sad. Very sad only."She tilted her head at Jake as if she was scolding a child.
Jake scooted to sit up."Ok, ok. I'm sorry."Jake made a hand motion, showing that he surrendered."Whatever I did, I am sorry."
She stood back up."All this is"She gestured behind them, where the dead Viperwolves were, and then pointed at Jake."is your fault. They did not need to die."
Jake's eyes narrowed as he looked at her in confusion and disbelief."My fault? They attacked me, attacked Lia. What was I supposed to do? Let them kill her?"He stated questionably, gesturing at Lia."So how am I the bad guy?"He asked, only to flinch when the woman jabbed her bow in his face while Lia took a step back, her eyes widening at the sudden show of aggressiveness.
"Your fault!"
"Whoa!"
"Your fault!
"Shh. Easy. Easy."Jake said, hoping to deescalate the situation.
"You're like a baby. Making noise, don't know what to do."She said, rather insultingly in Lia's opinion."She isn't."The Na'vi woman suddenly gestured at Lia, who looked back at her in surprise, with her bow."She makes no noise, stays put, less of a threat."
Although Lia did agree with the Na'vi woman about herself, she also knew that Jake only acted like he did earlier because Jake hadn't been able to walk for nearly three years, so of course he would act like a child. Being able to walk again was a dream come true for Jake, even if it was in an Avatar.
"She's not wrong."Jake glanced up at Lia in betrayal and disbelief."You were acting like a child, and it's a kill or be killed World on this planet, Jake."Lia said, giving Jake a look."Those Viperwolves were only trying to survive."
Jake, concerned that the Na'vi woman was suddenly going to attack Lia next, even though she had made no move to do so against Lia, Jake stood up slowly, putting himself directly in the Na'vi woman's line of sight and making it so that Lia was hidden behind him.
"Fine, fine."He gestured behind him."If you love your little forest friends, why not just let them kill my ass? What's the thinking?"The Na'vi woman paused and stared at Jake, slightly confused at how he phased his words.
"Tsyeyk is asking why bother to save him if you care more for the lives of the Nantang?"Lia decided to translate, stepping out from behind Jake, gaining the Na'vi woman's attention, before she was pushed back behind her Brother, hoping that she hadn't mispronounced anything.
"Why save you?"She asked in English.
"Yeah, yeah."Jake nodded, thankful that Lia was able to translate what he said, to the Na'vi woman and thought that he should learn the language as well."Why save me?"
"You have a strong heart. No fear."She said before glancing at Lia, who was peeking around Jake to look at her."Both of you."She added before walking closer to Jake."But stupid!"She suddenly spat."Ignorant like a child."The Na'vi woman said, looking directly at Jake when she said that so that Jake got the message that she was saying her last two sentences to him and not Lia, before walking away from the Siblings.
"She's got that right."Jake glared over his shoulder at Lia, but he couldn't hide the amusement in his eyes, causing Lia's own to widen and she shook her head no."Jake-"She cut herself off when Jake followed after the Na'vi woman."Why do I even bother?"Lia muttered and followed after the duo, not wanting to be left behind.
"Well, if I'm like a child, then uh... Look, maybe you should teach me... Teach us."Jake corrected himself and Lia glared holes into the back of his head, scoffing.
"Sky People cannot learn. You do not See."The Na'vi woman said as she jumped up onto a branch.
"Well, then teach us how to See."Jake said, although he had no idea of what he was talking about and what he was actually asking, and Lia knew he was thinking that, but made no comment.
"No one can teach you to See."The Na'vi woman retorted, almost knowingly, and her walk turned into a light sprint.
Lia, who had followed after them, skidded to a stop when she realised that she was standing on a big branch, and yelped softly as she tried to balance herself. Jake, concerned, turned to Lia, only to realise why Lia had reacted badly.
Smirking to himself, Jake grabbed Lia's hand in his and helped her walk on the tree branch, knowing that she was more scared then he was, considering she used to hate the idea of climbing trees when they were children, in fact, she still did.
"Look, come on, can't we talk?"Jake asked, keeping up with the Na'vi while also helping Lia run on the branch."Say, where'd you learn to speak English? Dr. Augustine's School?"Lia mentally winced at the question, remembering earlier that day that Grace had brought them to the abandoned School before they continued onwards.
Jake suddenly stumbled, letting go of Lia in the process, and swayed back and forth, trying to balance himself while Lia almost dropped to all fours to cling to the tree branch, but barely held herself back from doing so, and the Na'vi woman, at lightening speed, turned around and grabbed Jake by the arm.
"You're like a baby."The Na'vi hissed at him before letting go of his arm with a sigh."These Sky People."She grumbled, annoyed, and Jake stared at her before glancing back at Lia, a small grimace on his face as he saw the worried look in her eyes as she looked down at the ground below them.
He looked back at the Na'vi woman."I need your help."He said softly and desperately, for Lia's sake, rather than his, and the Na'vi woman frowned.
"You both should not be here."
"Ok, take us with you."
"No!"Came the quick response."Go back."She added softly before turning around and started to walk away again, but Jake, and Lia, who kept back at a distance, followed.
"No."Jake said stubbornly.
"Kehe."Jake blinked, not having understood what she said, but knew that she was telling him to go back when she pushed him."Go back."She bared her teeth at him briefly.
However, her gaze shot upwards, looking at something, causing Lia and Jake to also look up. Lia's eyes widened in amazement, while Jake's wide eyed gaze was more wary than amazed, at seeing so many Woodsprites gathering around them.
If it was possible, her eyes would have widened even further when the Woodsprites started to land on her and Jake. A small giggle escaped Lia's lips as one landed on her nose and she went cross eyed to stare at it.
However, her attention was brought back to Jake and the Na'vi woman when she heard a cry of;"Ftang!" and she groaned lowly at what her Brother did. Smacking a Woodsprite was considered an insult and very disrespectful to the Na'vi.
"Jake, stop it."Lia warned him when he went to do it again, at the same time the Na'vi said;"No!"in a sharp voice and grabbed Jake's arm, stopping him from hurting the Woodsprites and said;"Atokirina.".
Jake, realising that he was being disrespectful once again, stopped smacking the Woodsprites away and let them float around him, and even allowed them to land on his outstretched arms, like Lia was doing, while the Na'vi woman was muttering softly and affectionately in her native tongue.
Blinking, Jake looked back at his Sister and stared in awe at how many were on her."Wow."Lia smiled at him and giggled as even the Na'vi woman looked at her in awe."What... What are they?"He finally asked.
"Seeds of the Sacred Tree."The Na'vi woman, who had stepped away to allow more of the Woodsprites to float around Jake and Lia, said, her voice filled with deep emotions."Very pure Spirits."
"Uh-huh."
"The Na'vi believe that they are the Spirits of their Ancestors, Jake, and you disrespected them by hitting them."Lia said, noticing how the Na'vi woman bent over slightly to see how many Woodsprites had gathered on her and Jake, a soft and beautiful smile forming on her lips.
A few minutes later, the Woodsprites, as if they were of one mind, all detached themselves from the Sully Siblings, and moved on, floating off in a random direction while trio stared after them.
"What was that all about?"Jake asked, turning to the Na'vi woman, who seemed to be making a decision before she glanced back at them, having made up her mind.

~~~Meeting The Na'vi of the Omaticaya Clan Pt. 3~~~
"KEHE!"Lia hissed loudly, backing away from the Na'vi who went to grab her braid, and quickly she held her main braid, the most precious braid by Na'vi standards, keeping it away from the Na'vi, who all froze at hearing her speak their language."Do not touch me!"She snarled, looking warily at their hands which held their weapons. She started panicking and her heartbeat sped up while her mind started forming violent images of things she didn't want to remember.
