Chapther 5: From the Bottom of Darker
Disclaimer: I do not own Katekyo Hitman Reborn! or Senki Zessho Symphogear.
As the sun rose up on a brand new day for the Lydian dorms, Miku woke up to being alone in bed. "Hibiki?" she asked, only to receive silence in response. Looking around she spotted a note left on the headboard. On it was a crude image of a bowing Hibiki wearing a hardhat that said 'Training, I'll be skiping school.'
"What's this?"
Hibiki was at the Kazanari residence's yard hitting a punching bag, despite only training for a week she was already showing signs of being able to take down a trained solider in hand to hand.
"Not like that," said Genjuro, obviously he had plans for her to go beyond that, "Strike like you've been eating thunder and crushing lightning."
"I don't know what that means at all!" Hibiki responded to her mentor in an equally serious tone, "But I'll try, anyway!"
Turning to the punching bag, she focused on her target and banished all stray thoughts from her mind. The only thing on her mind was to hit her target with maximum power as hard as she could, as fast as she could.
Then as if her heartbeat was the signal, she launched a straight with her right hand at the sandbag. The force of the blow sent the bag flying, the branch it was hanging on breaking instantly. The bag flew through the air, past the pond Genjuro was expecting it to land in and into the wall that surrounded the complex, leaving a crater showing it could have gone much further.
"Rrrrrrrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Give me something else to hit!" roared Hibiki, flames coming out of her head.
Seeing that the blonde had both managed to achieved basic energy manipulation and activating her ignited state, Genjuro decided to see how strong she was now.
"Guess I'll start trying for real, too."
In a forest a little a ways from the city was a mansion on a cliff, mostly kept stable by a retaining wall. For the most part it looked like a normal, if fancy, mansion. On the left was a lake with it's own pier, a smaller part of the mansion extended out on to it. It was the right side that broke the illusion of 'normalcy,' the right side had what looked to originally be a ballroom extended past the edge of the cliff yet supported by a reinforced metal shell. Even more bizarre was the fact was the fact that this lare building was called home to only two individuals.
"Solomon's Cane…" spoke a voice in English, "What happened to the activation for the holy relic we handed over?"
"As reported, the ignition test of a powerful holy relic requires a significant level of phonic gain," said a near naked woman over the phone, she was wearing only long gloves stockings and a pair of high heels, the first voice coming over the phone. As she spoke she used said cane to summon and dismiss Noise, secretly mocking the one on the other end as she spoke her lies, "It can't be done so easily."
"The black arts…" said the first voice, "unveiling the vanished prehistoric civilization technology and definitely make it our own."
"So it's give and take, I appreciate the support from your country." said the woman as she relaxed onto a chair and proped her feet up onto a large dining table, the rest of the room had torture devices and a large computer with several screens, the blood stains showed it was used often, "I require your success in "duck-hunting," too."
"So, you absolutely have a mind to use me. If that's the case, let's see your action that matches this deal." said the voice.
"Of course, I understand," the woman said, "As there is a saying: The more docile the dog, the longer it lives." With that last sentence she finished the call and hung up the phone.
"Vulgar and disgusting…" She commented as she got up, "Just like the country he was born in."
She walked over to an electrocution device that had the person she was now talking to strapped to it. That person was the girl who wore the Armor of Nehushtan, Yukine Chris. She was currently dressed in a bondage outfit, not that wearing clothes or being naked would bother the younger girl after living with this woman for two years.
"No reason I must tell someone like that that Solomon's Cane has already been activated, right?" the woman asked Chris, running her fingers lightly over the younger girl's cheek as a sign of affection. In response the girl opened her eyes.
"Does it hurt? Poor Chris…" pitted the older woman despite being the one who hurt her, "It's because you hesitated. You only needed to bring the girl here, once you'd lured her out. And not only did you screw up, you returned empty-handed."
"This is for the best, right?" asked the silver haired girl, showing no hatred or resentment towards her tormentor.
"What?"
"If I want mine and Prima's wish to come true, I just need to obey you, right?" the bound girl asked.
"That's right… Tell me, what do you think about that girl?" the blonde woman asked.
"That girl?… She resembles how Prima mite have looked if she was still alive," Chris answered.
"They know your name, and you may have intended to use Prima to lead them on a wild goose chase but they already figured out that she is missing and will try to use her name," the older woman gaslighted her charge.
"No way…" despaired the girl.
"Yes, so accept everything about me." 'encouraged' the other woman, "If you don't, I won't like you anymore."
She turned on the machine, enjoying how the silver haired girl screamed in agony.
"You're so cute, Chris," the woman complimented, "I'm the only one that can love you."
Turning off the machine, the naked woman pressed herself against the younger girl.
"Remember this, Chris…" she stated, "This is the truth of the world. Only pain can connect people's hearts."
"Now, let us partake of dinner." the statement brought a smile to Chris' face… before the woman once more turned on the machine.
"Tachibana-san!" called out the teacher, "Is Tachibana Hibiki-san late because she's helping someone again?" Class had just begun and like written in her note, the blonde was skipping class.
"Sensei! Hibiki… I mean, Tachibana-san…" Miku spoke up, not wanting her friend to get in to trouble, "She's out sick today."
"She really is such a bother," the teacher complained, "
Turning towards Hibiki's empty seat.
"That liar." Even if the blonde couldn't tell her what she was hiding, they could have at least talked about any problems she was facing.
"This is a hard way to start the day…" admitted Hibiki as she collapsed on to one of the control room's couches.
"I'm counting on you, champion of tomorrow," encouraged Genjuro, both he and his student were still in their training clothes.
"Here you go. Good work," said Aoi as she handed Hibiki a drink.
"I can't believe you can already enter the Ignited State," complemented Sakuya, "With this you mite be able to use your Superb Song freely!"
"Unlikely," interrupted Genjuro, "Despite the raw boost in physical ability and indestructibility, there are several restrictions: she becomes too focused on the initial and can't changer her priorities, her current level of control puts her on a time limit of five minutes and when it ends she is left exhausted and in pain, making repeated use impossible."
"Ah, that's right, sorry," he apologized.
"There is actually one more issue," spoke up Hibiki, "My body felt heavier then when Tsubasa tried to fight me."
Although they were surprised by the new information Genjuro's mind immediately brought up the rings that the girl had with her when they first met.
"No matter, we can investigate further once we have more info," he responded, deciding that it he should keep it from the traitor's ears for as long as possible.
"Um, since I was the one who decided to do it, I feel bad saying this…" Hibiki said, wanting to ask a question that had been bothering her, "But isn't there another way to fight the Noise, without having to ask a high school girl? Something foreign?"
"Officially, no," responded Genjuro, "In Japan, Symphoghers are considered top-secret, classified information."
"Eh? While I'm out there fighting, I may not really pay attention to that…" worried Hibiki.
"Controlling information is Section 2's job," assured Aoi.
"But sometimes, that means stepping on toes," Sakuya interjected, "So now, all kinds of people in the government don't like us. Since we're the Special Disaster Response Team, They call us the 'Disaster Team.'"
"Even though the government heads ordered us to keep it classified…" Aoi complained about the contradiction, "It's tough."
"They probably plan to use the Symphogears as a diplomatic tool," Sakuya Theorized.
"The EU and America are always looking for a chance to come back," the black haired operator assessed, "The Symphogears are based on technology and theory that's totally different from anything else that exists. No other nation than Japan can replicate them, so everyone wants them more."
"What I'm getting from this is that it's complicated…" said Hibiki expressing her confusion.
Realizing that someone was missing, Hibiki inquired once more, "Hey, Master, where's Ryoko-san?"
"She's going to Nagata," Genjuro replied.
"Nagata?"
"The higher-ups in the government called her there," the commander explained, "She has a responsibility to explain to them security for the base and our defense systems. It can't be helped."
"Everything's complicated, isn't it?" comented the blonde.
"It's always those who don't want to take responsibility that make the rules complicated. In that respect, Defense Minister Hiroki…" stated the red head as he looked at his watch, "Ryoko-kun is late getting back."
*Ahcho!* Ryoko sneezed as she was driving her car, "Is someone talking about me? The weather's beautiful today. It feels like something lucky might happen!"
'I'm… Alive?' questioned Tsubasa as she slowly fell through the sky of her mindscape, 'No, I just couldn't die properly.'
'Why did Kanade live? And why did she die?' she asked herself before being embraced from behind by an older girl with long red hair and a white cloak.
"You're too serious, Tsubasa," The phantasim of Kanade said, "If you're too stiff, you'll snap someday."
Tsubasa turned to Kanade in joy happy to speek to her in any form.
"Ever since you left me alone, I've been training even harder." replied the blunet with a gentleness she hadn't used in the past two years, "I've defeated more Noise than I can count, I've put my life on the line again and again, kept fighting without asking myself why."
The surroundings changed, becoming the ruined concert hall on the day of the tragedy two years ago, the main difference being that there were no Noise or dying bodies.
"And then, I realized…" she continued, unaffected by the change, "That there was no meaning or value to my life."
"I think that, behind the battle or on the other side of it, there might be something else," 'Kanade' explained, "That's what I've always thought, and what I've always seen."
"What is it?" Tsubasa asked.
"Something you have to find for yourself, I think," the spear user replyed.
"You're so mean to me , Kanade," pouted the sword user, "But you aren't even around to be mean tome anymore, are you?"
"Isn't that okay?"
"It isn't okay with me!" the slim girl objected, "I want you to be by my side!"
"It's for you to decide whether I'm near you or far," stated Kanade as she faded away.
"For me? Then I…"
Tsubasa awoke to the sounds of various beeping machines as she found herself in a white room with people dressed in white as well.
"Doctor, the patient's coming around!" called out a nurse.
"Do a full medical check. Hurry," said doctor responded. This revealed to Tsubasa that she was in the on campus hospital.
'This feels strange. Like I've been cut off from the world, and time's flowing slowly for me,' thought Tsubasa, 'That's right… I've never missed school before, except for work or a mission.'
'There goes my perfect attendance record…' the girl joked to herself.
'Don't worry, Kanade," she said in response to her dream, "I'm not as serious as you said. I won't snap. That's why I'll humiliate myself by surviving again.
"Ha ha ha, one phone call, and we have to cancel the whole thing," chuckled an older man, "They're an unruly bunch."
This was Defense Minister Hiroki, he and his aid were travailing with their escort to another location. They were in the second of three cars, the other two having their security, through an area filled with construction sites. The all the workers had gone home for the dad, creating a secure route that no civilians would take.
"Even if they are a special organization dating back to the Imperial Army, don't you think we give them too much leeway?" asked his aid.
"Perhaps, but they're our only option for dealing with these special disasters," countered the minister, "My task is to give them as much leeway as they need to do so."
The aid smiled in agreement, showing that despite his concerns, he truly appreciated all their work up till now.
"'Disaster Team" is a good name for them," said the aid.
The convoy had entered a short tunnel but as they were about to exit, a truck pulled up and blocked it. As a result, all three cars came to a crashing stop. Immediately a group of mercenaries with guns rushed out of the truck and gunned down the guards before they could fight back.
With his aid killed in the crossfire, Hiroki tried to take the briefcase they were transporting and escape. Just as his hand made contact with it, it was pinned down by a gun barrel.
"You must be Defense Minister Mr. Hiroki?" asked the assailant.
"You're…" said the Minister, only to be gunned down like the others.
"Hi, everyone! I'm back!" cheered Ryoko as she entered the control room
"Ryoko-kun!" Genjuro responded in worry as he and Hibiki turned to her.
"What? You were that lonely?" the scientist joked.
"Defense Minister Hiroki has been murdered," revealed the commander.
"Eh? Really?" Ryoko asked in shock as she rushed to join them.
"Several extremist groups have already taken credit for the assassination," he explained, "But we don't have any details. We're investigating as best we can, but…"
"No one could get a hold of you, so we were all worried!" Hibiki finished for him.
"Eh?" Ryoko took out her communicator and examined it, "I guess it's broken."
The answer had relived both the commander and school girl.
"But thanks for worrying about me," she said in gratitude, "And the classified documents I got from the government are safe."
The scientist opened the briefcase she had and pulled out a green memory chip, no one aware of the blood stain on the case's bottom.
"Succeeding in our mission is the best thing we can do for him! However, I have a complication I need to discus with you two…"
Most of the Special Disaster Response Team, both Sections 1 and 2, were gathered in a large assembly hall. Hibiki and the operators were seated at the front, special agents were in the middle and soldiers were in seated in the back. Genjuro and Ryoko stood in front of the audience by a large screen. On the screen was what appeared to be another part of the base with a cylinder stored horizontally.
"From the Noise appearing around the Lydian Music Academy's High School, meaning around the Special Disaster Response Team, Section 2, the government has concluded that their target is Sacrist D, Durandal, which is kelpt here, on the lowest level, the Abyss," Ryoko explained, the screen turned to a close up of the stone sword inside the cylinder.
"Durandal…" Hibiki whispered in aw, 'this is the relic that only I…'
"It's one of the few perfectly intact relics, which the Japanese government took control of, in exchange for assuming some of the EU's defaulted bonds, after their economic collapse, continued the scientist.
"But where could we move it?" Sakuya asked, "There's nowhere more secure than here."
"The special server rom below Nagata. Also called the 'Memory Ruins.' They've decided to move it there," answered Genjuro, "Either way, since we're low on the totem pole, we don't have a say in it."
Ryoko followed up by giving the mission details, "The Durandal will be moved at 0500, tomorrow morning. The details are in this memory chip."
A short time later, Hibiki was back in the command room watching Ryoko controlling a robot to retrieve Durandal's container in preparation for the transfer.
"Eh, is that the Abyss?" the candidate asked.
"Three times the length of Tokyo Sky Tower, 1,800 meters below ground," described Ryoko. "Okay! Rest up till it's time to go," the scientist encouraged, "That's when your job will start."
"Right!"
"Hey, where have you been? Exactly what does 'training' mean?" Miku asked in an upset tone.
Those were the words Hibiki was dreading on returning to her dorm to gather the things she needed.
"Um, well… You see-" Hibiki stuttered as she tried to come up with a cover story.
"Explain," the black haired girl demanded.
"Oh, I'm sorry! I've gotta go!" the blonde left before anything else could be said.
"You won't even let me worry?"
"I'm sure Miku's mad…" Hibiki said as she regretted what she did at the dorm. She was siting at a rest area in one of the command center's halls.
"I can't sleep like this," the blonde opened a magazine lying on the table, only to realize she had turned to an add for women' underwear. Panicking in embarrassment she swiftly turned her head away and closed the paper, but despite that the image in her mind began to change. The model in the add changed into a short silver haired girl with four ponytails and below her layed a black haired girl in purple underwear.
"Those two would make a cute couple," she considered as she felt a little warmer than normal. Miku always seems to get jealous whenever Hibiki would look at similarly endowed women, really, she wasn't stopping Miku from looking at all.
Looking to the magazine's back, she saw an article saying that Tsubasa was in the hospital due to overworking.
"Controlling information is one of my jobs," stated Ogawa Shinji as he stood in front of the highschooler holding a handkerchief to her.
"Ogawa-san?" she asked in confusion.
"You're drooling," he responded.
Blushing in embarrassment, the blonde accepted the offering and wiped her mouth clean.
"Tsubasa-san's through the worst of it," Shinji revealed, bringing a smile to Hibiki's face. "But she'll need to stay in one of Section 2's medical facilities for awhile."
"Her concert at the end of the month will be canceled," he stated with slight regret, "Now, then… How should I apologize to the fans? Would you help me think of something?"
Hearing his request reminded her of why Tsubasa was in the hospital.
"Ah, wait! That isn't what I meant…" Shinji objected, bringing Her out of her self-pity. Seeing the manager slightly panicked drew out a chuckle from her.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to blame you," He apologized, "What I'm trying to say is that, whatever you do, lots of people are behind you, helping in all sorts of ways. So I think you can afford to relax a little."
"you're nice, Ogawa-san," complimented Hibiki.
"I'm just scared," he denied, "There are other people who are truly kind."
"I do feel a bit better. Thank you!" the gear user said in gratitude, "I'll do the best job I can to rest!"
With renewed confidence, the girl jogged off to find a place to sleep. Watching her go, Shinji reflected on how Hibiki regained her cheerful demeanor.
"If only Tsubasa-san could be like Hibiki-san in that way…"
At 5 am the next day, Hibiki was standing in line with eight special agents that would be acting as bodyguards against any non-relic threats. Hibiki would be with Durandal inside Ryoko's car while the agents would be in four black cars around them.
"We've set checkpoints, under the pretense of looking for the defense minister's assassin," stated Genjuro, "We're heading straight for the Memory Ruins!"
"I call it 'Plan: Keep the Road to Yourself'!" joked Ryoko.
A few minutes later they were crossing a bridge with Genjuro following in a helicopter.
"It feels like the Noise already have us surrounded," claimed Hibiki.
"If that was true then the Noise would have made a move by-" "In front!" Hibiki's interruption brought Ryoko's attention to the cracks that were suddenly forming on part of the bridge. Ryoko managed to avoid the hole that had formed but one of the escort cars was lost.
"Hang on tight," the scientist said to the blonde, "I'm a mean driver."
"We're under attack. We don't have a visual, but it has to be Noise!" claimed Genjuro over the communicator.
"I guess they're here sooner than we expected," replied Ryoko. As they hurried along, one of the other cars were sent flying by a pillar of water.
"The sewers!" realized the commander, "The Noise are attacking through the sewers!"
The brunet dogged another car that was sent flying by the Noise.
"Genjuro-kun, aren't things getting a little bad?" the driver gave her opinion, "If there's an explosion at the pharmaceutical factory up ahead, Durandal…"
"I know!" he replyed, "The reason they're only targeting our cars is that the Noise are being controlled to avoid damaging Durandal!"
Ryoko clicked her tongue.
"If the're after Durandal, our best move is to go somewhere dangerous, and limit their options!" the red head decided.
"What are the odds?" asked the woman.
"I'm making this up as I go! I have no idea!" he declared.
Launching from a man hole cover, some slug-like Noise landed on the last escort car causing it to crash. The monsters moved back away from the scene as if in fear.
"Just like we Thought!" cheered Hibiki. But it was too soon to celebrate as the minivan was suddenly flipped over and came to a stop on it's roof.
"Buddha save you!" Genjuro cursed.
After Hibiki and Ryoko dragged themselves out of the van, the blonde realized they were surrounded.
"Ryoko-san, This is heavy…" Hibiki said as she pulled out Durendal's case from the car.
"Then let's leave it and run," the researcher suggested.
"We can't do that!" the younger girl denied.
"No, we can't…" admitted the older woman.
Suddenly several of them turned themselves into projectiles to attack them, but the blonde and brunet managed to run away with the case, resulting in the minivan exploding. The blast knocked down Hibiki and the case ended up a few feet away from her, in the sky smoke was blocking Genjuro's view of the battle
The Noise tried to launch a second wave of attacks, But Ryoko held out her hand and generated a purple energy shield to blocked them. The repeated blows caused Ryoko's hair to come undone and her glasses to fall off.
"Ryoko-san?" Hibiki asked in confusion.
"It can't be helped," answered the researcher, "You do what you want, however you want to do it."
"I'm going to sing!" the blonde declared as she got up.
Balwisyall nescell Gungnir tron
Finishing her transformation, the blone girl got into a basic fighting stance. As the Noise launched a third wave, Hibiki dogged to the right but tripped when one of her heels got caught by a pipe. The Noise surrounded her as she got back up.
These heels are in the way! Hibiki realized. This prompted her to break of the armor to reveal shorter white shoes underneath. Feeling more free, Hibiki changed her stance and waited for the Noise to make their next move.
As one of the Noise attacked her, Hibiki countered with a punch. With this blow it's back half exploded away showing that it had taken massive damage internally, more then a normal blow could do on it's own.
Every enemy that approached her was struck down. Punches, kicks, even knee and elbow strikes, they all took down a Noise in one hit like she was wielding her Gear's namesake.
While this was going on, Chris watched from atop one of the large tanks.
"She can fight now?" asked herself in surprise,
An equally surprised, Ryoko was snapped out of her shock by a beeping coming from the case holding Durandal.
"So it's finally happenig," said Ryoko as she remembered her warning to Genjuro and Hibiki…
"Durandal uses Gamma one phonic gain?!" asked Genjuro in disbelief. This was right after Ryoko showed them the memory chip.
"That's right, no matter how much you gather or what combination of types you use, someone like Hibiki-chan would still be needed," confirmed Ryoko, "I've had more then enough time to confirm that it was modified to also require Beta Two phonic gain."
"Modified?" asked Hibiki.
"Yes, based on the fact that I can't find any similar relics, my theory it was altered to act as a prof of concept. In other words once it is activated…"
"Humanity will have surpassed the prehistoric civilization," finished Ryoko.
During all this Hibiki continued to fight the Noise until she noticed a whip headed towards her and jumped back before it could hit her.
"Today, your mine!" Chris declared as she launched a flying kick on the blonde.
I still haven't mastered my Symphogear, Hibiki thought as she was unable to dodge in midair and took the hit, How do I use my Armed Gear?
At he same time that the blonde crashed into the ground, the Durandal burst out of the case and floated high in the air and started releasing a golden glow.
"So this is Durandal?" said the Nehushtan user as she prepares to jump…
"What?!" Only to realized that she couldn't move. Remembering the last time she felt like this, she turned to look at her shadow. At the vary center of it was a long needle impaled into it.
Shadow Weave
Tracing it's trajectory from the angle it entered the ground from, she found a raven wearing small pieces of armor with an ink-like darkness coming from it.
"A Night-class Box Weapon?!" she realized, from what she could remember the Night Flame was still extremely even after the Representative Battle, "Could it be?"
A sudden surge of power diverted her attention back to see that the other girl had grabbed the sword and it started to glow once more as she landed. The golden light extended in to a pillar as Hibiki raised the sword, her face gaining a feral look. And finally the stone sword turned to a gold like metal with blue lines as it restored it's missing tip.
"What did she do?" she asked herself, turning to Ryoko, she saw the scientist gaze in wonder, more so then anyway she looked at Chris.
"Don't show off your power!" she yelled in frustration and summoned more Noise. All this did was draw the attention of an out of control beast.
Hibiki turned around, her face covered in darkness with glowing red eyes. With a roar, she brought down the sword against the Noise with Chris in it's path. The older girl managed to dodge the actual attack, but was caught in the blast as the surroundings exploded.
Even if I take you back, I… Chris thought as she disappeared into the flames.
Meanwhile, Ryoko was once more using her shield to protect Hibiki, who's transformation was undone after falling unconscious.
"Is that the power of Durandal?" Genjuro asked as he saw all the destruction, unable to do anything due to the Noise.
"Wh-What was that power?" Hibiki asked herself as she regained consciousness, the memory of why she was unconscious flooding back to her mind, "My body moved on its own. And I just destroyed…"
Sitting up and looking around, she saw all of the surroundings in ruins as Section 1 was doing an assessment.
"That was Durandal," stated Ryoko as she put her hair back into a bun, "An intact relic, activated by your voice."
"U-Um… I…" the blonde tried to speek, "What about your…"
"Does it matter? We both survived," said the scientist as she put on her damaged glasses, "Congrats."
"Yes?" Ryoko promptly answered a sudden phone call, "Sure, we'll call off the plan to move it, and we'll return to base. Yes, Durandal is safe, but…"
Chris collapsed on her bed in in exhaustion, now back to her regular cloths. She looked to her right to her bedside nightstand, on top of it was a small cushion with a ring on top, the ring was silver with a red and brown octogon shaped gem. An image in the gem was of a circle that seemed to be breaking apart on one side.
She still remembered when she got it, her family were going to live with her mother's parents to see if she could become friends with with Prima. The result was getting a ring the same time she met the younger girl becouse "she was cute." The following year passed with Prima draging her around helping people(aparently it was her hobby), lurning to cook(Prima became imune to poison suprisingly fast), and spying on wemens changing room(still some of her favorit memories), it was one of the happyest times of her life. Eventualy it was desided that Prima would move to Tokyo to keep her from from a new groupe coming into promanince called the Bavarian Illuminati.
Prima's family moved a month ahead of her with her grandfather acting as a bodyguard. But no even a week had passed when her grandfather and Prima's parents were found dead with Prima herself missing.
To help Chris with her depresin, her parents took her to a warzone in South America for volunter work, she would soon wonder why this was a good idea. Her parents were killed in a bombing and she became a slave for a gang.
Chris had spent the next six years being abused until she had a strange dream. In it she was draged out that to be used as a target to test new weapons on living things, something that had taken several of the the friends she had made over the years. The weapon they were using was an RPG they had bought throught a Mafia, their leaded had used the ring they took from her as proof they were trust worthey.
What convinced her it was a dream was that instead of dying, she found herself in the arms of two women. They gently embraced her and whispered words of encuragement and love, something she had missed ever sense she lost her parents.
After five minites, she "woke up" and found her surounding heavely dammaged and her stolen ring at her feet. A few seconds later soldiers from the UN swarmed and took her in and she eventualy met Fine.
Puting on the ring and focusing, red and brown flames erupted from it and sloitified into the form of a cat and began to pet it. Although Chris has been with Fine for two years now, she has never about the rings or flames, not wanting to break her promise with her grandfather. However, whenever she thought a bout Prima or her capture target, her mind has started vewing them as the same person! And with the realization that one of the rarest flames was at their disposle, she couldn't aford to hide it anymore.
One more chapter complete, a glimpse of Kanade's Ring Animal and Chris is getting ready to use her flame. I hope you continue to enjoy the story.
