Chapter 36: Reaching Sootopolis City! Finding A Solution To Hoenn's Weather Crisis!
Upon escaping the seafloor cavern, everyone looked to see the massively endless downpour that was happening around them. Archie was panickly looking around.
Archie - "What happened... What is this wretched scene... Did I...make a horrible mistake?"
He then fell to his knees was the full weight of his actions came crashing down upon him.
Archie - "I... I only wanted..."
Maxie - "Do you understand now, Archie? Do you finally see just how disastirous both of our dreams turned out to be? We have to hurry! We have to do something before the situation goes completely out of control!"
Michael - "Hold it!"
Archie - "What do you want now kiddo?"
Michael - "The Orbs. Give them to me. Now!"
Maxie - "Ok. Ok."
Archie and Maxie then quickly handed the Blue and Red Orbs over to Michael. As they were about to leave, Steven arrived.
Clair - "Good timing Steven."
Steven - "Don't thank me yet Clair. It's bad enough that after the massive heat wave from Lord Groudon ends, this deluge from Lady Kyogre began. If this doesn't stop, all of Hoenn... the whole world will drown. This huge rain cloud is spreading from above Sootopolis City... There's no point in arguing here... Sootopolis City might provide the answers we seek..."
Michael then remember what Groudon and Kyogre said to him.
Groudon - "Please young Michael... Help me and my sister Kyogre..."
Kyogre - "Please young Michael. Find our sister Rayquaza. She's the only one with the strength to stop us..."
Michael - "That's it..."
Twilight - "What's it Michael?"
Michael - "Brionne! I need you and your brothers out here now!"
All seven of Michael's Water Starters appeared.
Brionne - "What do you need us for Michael?"
Michael - "For now, Swampert, Delcatty, and I are heading south, then west. The rest of you are going to Sootopolis City with Steven, Archie, and Maxie to make sure the townsfolk are ok."
Clair - "What are you going south for?"
Michael - "To find the one Pokemon that can help save us from this crisis. Steven. When you get to Sootopolis City, find Wallace and tell him that I'm waiting for him at the Sky Pillar. He'll understand what that means."
Steven - "Ok if you say so."
Michael - "Wish us luck."
Everyone then watched as Michael, Delcatty, and Swampert swam southward.
Clair - "You have any idea what Michael was talking about Steven?"
Steven - "A bit. But Wallace should know more than me about this anyway."
Twilight - "Then what are we standing around here for? Let's get moving to Sootopolis City already!"
The rest of the party agreed and soon they were off to Sootopolis City. Upon entering the city, they saw Kyogre and Groudon clashing with each other.
Gura - "This is bad..."
Roxanne - "Hopefully Michael reaches the Sky Pillar before long."
Steven - "Then we better find Wallace quickly too. Otheriwse Michael CAN'T get in the Sky Pillar at all."
Landing on the western side of the city, Steven quickly turned to the girls, while Archie and Maxie stayed in front of the gym to think about their actions.
Steven - "You girls being here now means your prepared to become involved in this crisis?"
Ruby - "Of course. And that goes for Michael too."
Steven - "Then there's someone I'd like for you all to meet. Follow me please."
Steven then led the girls into the north end of Sootopolis City.
Steven - "Tell me girls. Does seeing Lady Kyogre and Lord Groudon make you think Pokémon are to be feared?"
Twilight - "To be honest? Yes and no."
Whitney - "What do you mean by that Twilight?"
Twilight - "Yes, the power that Lady Kyogre and Lord Groudon is indeed terrifying. But it's also so much more than that."
Steven - "And your opinion is Twilight?"
Twilight - "It's ok to be afraid of the unknown. Especially when it comes to Pokémon. But if we can't overcome that fear? Then nothing will change."
Steven - "I couldn't have that any better myself."
Soon they arrived at a cavern entrance. Steven walked over to an elderly man that was guarding the entrance. After a few moments, Steven returned.
Steven - "Ok, here we are! Inside here we'll find someone named Wallace. I believe Michael already has what's needed to help him."
Clair - "Hopefully he agrees to help us anyway,"
Steven and the girls then enter the cave, which was called "The Cave Of Origin". They then found Wallace in the cave's deepest part.
Wallace - "Ah. So you girls are Michael's friends? I've heard of your exploits. My name is Wallace. I was once Sootopolis City's gym leader, but something came up. So now, I've entrusted my mentor Juan with the Gym's operation. As I'm sure you girls are aware already, Lord Groudon and Lady Kyogre, the two Legendary Pokémon wreaking havoc here, are considered to be super-ancient Pokémon. But there aren't just two super-ancient Pokémon. There is one more somewhere. Somewhere, there is a super-ancient Pokémon named Lady Rayquaza."
Weiss and Roxanne's eyes suddenly went wide as they remembered Michael talking about Rayquaza back when he was answering Steven's questions about the mural back in Granite Cave.
Wallace - "It's said that it was Lady Rayquaza that becalmed her siblings in the distant past. But even I have no clue as to Lady Rayquaza's whereabouts..."
Weiss/Roxanne - "Sky Pillar."
Wallace - "What?"
Roxanne - "Sky Pillar. Michael ALREADY knew where Lady Rayquaza was."
Weiss - "That's also why he's not with us right now. He's already on his way over to it."
Wallace - "Then I better head over there right away and open it up for him."
Steven and the girls quickly followed Wallace outside the Cave Of Origin. Just as Wallace was gonna bring out his Pelipper to fly over to Sky Pillar, a bright stream of light broke through the chaos that was Kyogre's rain and Groudon's sun battling with each other.
Rarity - "Just what was that?"
Blake - "No idea. But seems like we're gonna find out soon enough."
Everyone then rushed back to the southern end of the city, wondering just what had happened.
