20. Infiltrating The Halberd

Chapter 20: Infiltrating The Halberd

Meta Knight and Marth had dealt with the army of Primids that had threatened Altea. "It won't end here," Marth said. "You're right. We must take back the Halberd," Meta Knight said as he looked up and saw the Halberd. "Take the fight to them," Marth said. "Precisely," Meta Knight said. "So, how will we get up there?" Marth asked.

Meta Knight grabbed Marth and flew upwards. The Halberd began moving. Meta Knight and Marth flew close behind. "It is moving!" Marth yelled. "Yes," Meta Knight said. Meta Knight grabbed onto a banner on the Halberd and Marth did the same. "Let us see where it goes," Meta Knight said.

The Halberd flew above the clouds, until it descended and found itself in between the Kingdoms of Hoshido and Nohr. "Ike will be down there. He will be valuable help," Marth said. Meta Knight nodded as Marth jumped off and dived down. Meta Knight caught him and they flew towards the warring nations.

Nohr and Hoshido have had a conflict for ages. The Halberd had dropped more shadow bugs and the Primids began to charge. "What is this magic?!" yelled a Hoshidan. "Who are these?!" yelled a Nohrian. The Primids quickly outnumbered the separate armies of both kingdoms and both nations tried to hold them back but the Primids' numbers proved too great.

On horseback, Ike traveled through the battlefield. Marth noticed. "There!" Marth yelled. Meta Knight flew down and dropped Marth on Ike's horse. "Marth! How did you get here?" Ike asked. "I had help," Marth said. Meta Knight glided besides them. "Greetings," Ike said. "Salutations," Meta Knight said with a nod. "What's the word here?" Marth asked. "Well, it didn't go so well trying to convince the two kingdoms to work together, but I did manage to locate someone," Ike said. "Is it her?" Marth asked. "Yes," Ike said with a nod.

A sword slashed multiple Primids at once, revealing a princess with a knight's might. Her hair was a light blonde. Her armor had the appearance of dragon scales. Her cape flew with the wind. "Corrin!" Ike yelled out as they approached her. "Is this the threat you were warning of?" Corrin asked. "Yes," Marth said. "The Hero-Prince," she said with a bow, "It's an honor." "Likewise," Marth said. Meta Knight sliced some Primids. "We must head back to the Halberd. They're planning to divide and conquer," Meta Knight said. "Fódlan," Marth said. The Halberd began making a noise. "We must head out," Meta Knight said. "Do you care to join us?" Marth asked. "If it means stopping these things, then gladly," Corrin said.

Meta Knight threw everyone up and they caught the banners. Meta Knight followed. The Halberd once again moved and arrived in the continent of Fódlan above Garreg Mach Monastery. The students there set up catapults and shot but couldn't reach the ship. The Halberd dropped more shadow bugs down into the school. The Primids terrorized the students as they fought back. Roy's sword blazed with fire as he slashed the Primids.

"Roy!" Marth yelled. "Marth? What are you doing up there?" Roy asked. "Hanging around. What do you think?" Ike asked. "Ike, you too?" Roy asked. "Incoming!" Meta Knight yelled. Meta Knight flew down, grabbed Roy and flew him up. "Anyone else?" Meta Knight asked. "Her," Roy said. Meta Knight flew down, and grabbed someone. "Hey! Let go!" Meta Knight threw a woman as she grabbed one of the banners. "Roy, what is going on?" she asked. "Byleth, we're up here. Marth what is going on?" Roy asked. "We're going to uncover the source of these Primids," Marth said. "Head on approach. Smart, but," Byleth said. "A tactical one would be better. Wait inside, see what their true plan is, and take them down at their weakest," Meta Knight said. "Better," Byleth said. Meta Knight flew besides the Halberd and found a door on the side. Then everyone got inside one at a time.

"This way," Meta Knight said. There, they found themselves in the bay. "Why not charge in immediately?" Ike asked. "This world is not their only target," Meta Knight said. "World? What is he talking about?" Corrin asked. "It is a long story, but your world is only one of many that is or will be invaded. It is a lot to ask, but I will need your help if we want to stop these villains from conquering the universe," Meta Knight said.

The Halberd began moving. "Doesn't look like we have much of a choice," Byleth said. "We're with you Meta Knight," Marth said. Meta Knight nodded as The Halberd ascended and took off.
