The next morning Sabrina didn't bother getting out of bed, she was lying on that mattress with dried tears running down her face and clear signs of fatigue. All night she had had nightmares about her mother, Sabrina didn't have the energy to start her day. although well...she didn't have the desire to do it either, she had been very disappointed in the few days she had been at Hogwarts of her school experience, she honestly believed that she would finally have a place to rest in peace and learn, she stayed in the room all day, skipping all classes and all meals. This had not gone unnoticed by Lily Evans, her best friend. Lily knew that Sabrina had post-traumatic stress and sometimes when Sabrina had an episode she hurt herself, Lily feared that something had happened to her, this was not normal for Sabrina, Lily had not seen her all day, she had not heard from her, she did not know what had happened to her or why she had been missing, her nerves were on edge but she had no way of knowing about Sabrina, Lily clearly would not be helped by the Slytherin to talk with Sabrina, much less to get into Sabrina's room, she couldn't even ask her roommates for Sabrina because they wouldn't tell her anything and in fact they would even make fun of Lily, this rivalry and mutual hatred between Gryffindor house and Slytherin house was starting to get tiring to Lily, because they couldn't at least stand or tolerate each other, it was very stressful for Lily not to be able to talk, be or walk calmly with her best friend because those in her house rejected her and those in her own house rejected Sabrina. It was absurd in her point of view, but she wasn't going to let that stop her right now. she was thinking about that when James Potter approached her and asked her in a low voice "Hey Lily, do you know why Sabs was missing today?" Lily looked at him with anger and annoyance and answered him in a bad way "She already told you not to call her like that and I don't know, although if I knew you would be the last person I would say it to" it seems that James Potter doesn't agreed with that, so he continued, "Please, Lily, I just want to know how is she and ask her for forgiveness." Lily snorted angrily and emphasized. "I already told you that I don't know, now stop insisting, Potter." Potter shook his head in disbelief "You two are like sisters, nothing happens to the other without the other knowing, I'm not stupid enough to swallow that pathetic excuse Evans" James said septically to which Lily frowned and answered "I'm speaking with the truth, but I don't have to prove anything to you, Potter, if you don't want to believe me, that's fine." Lily was about to stand up indignantly, but James held her arm to prevent her from leaving. "You might be honest, but you know something or something you suspect is wrong with her, please tell me" James said with certainty without hesitation, Lily reflected for a few moments on what to answer and finally said "I still can't confirm anything if I can't talk to her, I haven't talked to her during the whole day, she missed all her classes and she didnt went to eat, I haven't been able to find out anything about what happened because the Slytherins don't want to tell me anything, so unless you know some way to speak civilized with a Slytherin and being able to get information, there's not much I can tell you about it, Potter." Lily stated with consistency while the Potter looked thoughtful. "Maybe I can't get information from the Slytherins... "But I know of someone who does." Lily looked at him strangely and confused but also very curious. James hurriedly took Lily to the Gryffindor common room where Peter and Remus were lying on the furniture while Sirius told jokes as if he were a jester "Padfoot, we need to talk to you" James said in a serious tone something that was extremely rare of him so Sirius turned quickly towards him and approached somewhat alarmed "What's wrong?" Sirius asked cautiously when he saw the seriousness on the two children's faces. "We want to ask you a favor," James said cautiously. Sirius's expression suddenly looked much more relaxed and calm, to which James clarified, "It's not that kind of favor, Padfoot," said the Potter with his cheeks flushed and a saddened expression. Lily looked at him with some bewilderment, "What kind of favors did Sirius do for James?" Lily wondered anyway, she didn't want to know the answer. Sirius raised an eyebrow without understanding what James wanted. "Could you talk to one of your cousins and ask them about Sabs? It's just that she hasn't heard anything today and she has skipped all the classes no one has seen her" James said slowly and very carefully, Sirius's expression suddenly became perplexed "No...James...you know very well why I can't do that" Sirius said with distressed voice to which James quickly responded with a sympathetic voice "I know Padfoot, but it will only be for a few minutes to find out how he is and what happened to him, that's all" Sirius seemed in denial as if James were asking the impossible "I'm sure she's fine Prongs, maybe she just got sick and stayed in bed because of that... you know I would do anything for you, I would give my life for you but... this is the only thing you can't ask of me" said Sirius with concern, James shook his head in disappointment and said "Okay Padfoot, we'll find another way to find out about Sabs" he said in a sad tone as if he were giving up, at this Lily protested "James we can't give up so easily, we have to find the way to convince him to talk to his cousins to-" before Lily finished speaking James covered her mouth and said "Wait...3,2,1" Sirius suddenly returned to them with an expression of remorse and said with heaviness "Okay...I'll do it, but you owe me a big debt antlers" James nodded enthusiastically while Lily looked stunned at the Potter's manipulation techniques, Sirius reluctantly headed towards the small group of friends from the richest families and pure bloods of the Slytherin house while Lily and James walked behind him, there were Narcissa Black, Lucius Malfoy and Andromeda Black talking lively, Sirius knew that both Narcissa and Lucius would not say anything to him, but maybe Andromeda would, they would disperse and leave, Lucius as prefect had many things to do and Narcissa always followed him everywhere besides the blonde had her own issues to maintain her popularity and reputation, when Andromeda was about to leave Sirius ran quickly towards her " Sirius...what do you think you're doing? You know perfectly well that I'm not allowed to talk to you" Andromeda said hurriedly trying to get away from him "Wait a moment please, I just want to ask you something and then you can leave" Andromeda sighed with resignation and finally said "Speak quickly I have to go" Andromeda said quickly to which Sirius quickly said "The new first year girl, the half-blood, her name is Sabrina Snape" Sirius said introducing her to which Andromeda exasperated said "I already know who she is, what do you want to know about her?" Sirius continued speaking "Do you know if something happened to her? The girl didn't appear anywhere today, no one knows about her, her best friend is very worried about her, she thinks something bad happened to her." Andromeda snorted bitterly. "Sirius, I honestly don't know, I don't know every single thing that happens to a person. member of my house, the only thing I know is that she had a confrontation with Bella last night and that she is close to Lucius, I don't know more." Sirius looked scared for a moment and said in a broken voice "Confrontation with Bella? That's not said so lightly, Andy. What if Bellatrix did something to her?" Andromeda put on a more fixed expression and said "I didn't let her hurt her, besides, if something bad had happened, her roommates would have already reported that something bad had happened." At that, Sirius emphasized "Unless someone has intimidated them so that they don't digest anything." Andromeda, already quite upset, said "Enough, nothing happened to her, now leave me." she said trying to leave but this time it was Lily Evans herself who blocked her way "Help us get into your common room" Andromeda looked at Lily Evans impressed by her boldness and before she could complain Lily spoke faster "Please ...I just want to see her." Andromeda's gaze softened as if she were considering it. "Do you have costumes to enter?" Lily was speechless. She didn't have a disguise to infiltrate, but before she could speak, James answered for her. " Yes, yes we do." Lily looked confused but that was enough for Andromeda to give in and tell them the password to enter. "And another thing if they catch you, don't involve me in this" Andromeda warned before leaving, Lily was going to ask her which It was the supposed costume they had but then James took out a cloak that wasn't just any cloak, it was an invisibility cloak, they waited for everyone to go to lunch before they slipped through the hallways and headed to the entrance to the Slytherin common room, and said the password "Pureblood" and they entered the place, the Slytherin common room was much more elegant and fine than their own common room, but they did not waste time admiring that place, they went into the dormitories and finally found the girls' dormitories. There was Sabrina thrown on the bed, it almost seemed like she was unconscious, she looked terrible, she was sweaty, she had chills, she was muttering things in her sleep "Sabs...wake up" Lily murmured, taking off her cape while caressing Sabrina's forehead, Sabrina woke up with a scream, her eyes were wide open and her breathing was very labored while Lily tried to calm her down. "Calm down, I'm here, nothing happened, are you safe" Lily said as she hugged Sabrina. James saw how the black-haired girl had a horrified expression on her face and trembled, he approached her, careful not to upset her, and took her hand, trying to calm her down. "Inhale, exhale, inhale, exhale," Lily repeated constantly while Sabrina was hugging her like a little girl, after a while with Sabrina calmer Lily asked her slowly and affectionately "Sabs why were you absent today?" Sabrina looked lost and whispered in Lily's ear "I didn't want to go out" Lily looked at her tenderly and said "Tomorrow you have to go with the teachers and explain why you were absent." Sabrina nodded and said "Could you give me the notes so I can get ahead of myself?" Lily nodded and Sabrina lay on Lily's chest, feeling safe and calm. That was until she fell asleep again, James looked at her longingly, the expression of Sabrina now serene made her look so majestic when sleeping, they had to leave before the students returned hidden by the cape.
