Stargate Atlantis Trading Grounds I: The Return To La Rochelle

Warnings: This story is going to match the dialog, in the flashback memories, of chapter 4, of the past meets the present series. As it also follows the complete mental breakdowns, of the human half of the team. And Robert Makepeace and Adam Johnson, so the story is going to follow the dialog to the letter exactly. Along with some new dialog that was not in the fast forwarded portion in the flashbacks.

With this chapter it's jumping over the mission to Ernest's research station, before returning to earth now, and ending up back on the base now. Said now looking exactly like the Enterprise D, in every way, shape or form. And just without the technical problems, as the tunneling between their base and White Rock Research Station. There is a set of jeffries tubes going horizontally that way, rather then vertically.

Basing this in real time, rather then the show, of 25 years ago, Antarctica was a neutral zone for research so military research was not allowed out there. And with it, as the chair is considered military technology, it was meant to be last resort. In case of another orbital attack, so the outpost is now trade and exploration. So with this chapter, is the colony/crew is now getting used to being a slightly underwater crew.

As he's getting to work in trading to bring in more improvement for the planet at large now, so a military attack. Just to bring him back to the states, is attempted, is an international. In incidents and enough to get them convicted for kidnapping now, with his clearance. So from here, is he's dropping in on Ry'ac and Drey'auc and before the press conference. And just before his first stop in planets is to Gaea, home of the Nox.

This chapter will finish off this portion of the story-line, as the next two chapters and forward, cover chapter 2, going by the name. And of The Glory Of Tantulus, which covers things, from his going to the races and Tok'ra creation of the treaty. And his return to Shyla, before the following Chapters cover the the breakdowns of the trio and Carter, who's lost her ability to function mentally, out of desperation now.

As the mission was sanctioned, and he was transferred to Landry and the Atlantis team at the time. As Rodney McKay, Cam Mitchell, Vala Mal Doran, Hank Landry, Frank Simmons, Steven Caldwell, John Shepard. And Elizabeth Weir enter the picture here, the story will have Daniel and Teal'C joining their team. As the SGA is founded 5 years early, and moved into the outpost on earth….

Disclaimers: I don't own the shows, the story belongs to everything else belongs to the creators and the movie companies.

Chapter 39: Trauma Truths, The Mission Begins And Camelot VII

"Nice, if the mission involves fencing I use the training I get from you and we spar." Cam said smiling and he nodded. "Yeah that's just the problem, Jack never saw us being in the time and age we are, civilized, he prefers being a savage." he said and they nodded sternly. "Just wait for the kid to get tanked up on some alien drug, if we get a young marine here. The rest of us knew better, and we spent 5 of sum years living here in the future." Rodney said and he nodded.

"Yeah well my student lost 6 years training, we make up for that and practice." he said and Landry exchanged smiles with Crusher. 'Yeah my best friend is training my son.' he thought as Daniel looked from Crusher, to his wife. "Guys I understand here, regarding Cub, so though we get that same statement, he's very good, that's very apparent to all of us. But what he doesn't need are his skills, his powers, or his title thrown at him every time he turns around now here."

"It's family business, and as that traveler is not family, we're telling him to stay out of our affairs, stay away from Wesley, both versions, he's off limits now." he said and they and the TNG Crew first generation all nodded sternly in agreement. "That traveler, in this case, Ancient, that is Morgan's rival gives us that same remark, I'm saying just that. After Wesley proves that to me twice right now here, he's very good, but it's not playing favorites." Picard said and the nodded.

"General, we found the same sparring station Billy and Kyle were in, playing Anbo Jytsu." Will said and Picard covered his eyes. "Well before you guys go in there to beat the heck out of each other, try to keep in mind here, that we're showing we can grow passed solving everything. And without bouts of violence, as I agree with Katie." he said and Bill nodded to the orders. "Yes Sir, well the karate practice took on a whole new meaning." he said and he and Landry nodded.

"We start next week, but as I'm a skilled fencer, I can take your training further, so we start tomorrow." Daniel said and Cam nodded. "You said you'd be back next week, it's going to take 3 weeks, so one month under the care of the doc here. And then the other 7 off and on there with her right now." he said and Dixon nodded in agreement. "Agreed, 1 month under a new command, as you heal from the more dangerous symptoms, the rest right now here."

"Off and on with the queen." he said and they nodded gently. "Very well, Daniel the mission is delayed a month, so one month recovery under Dr. Pulaski, the other 7 off and on with Shyla." Landry said and he nodded, smiling. "Well I call Carter crazy jealous, you belonged to my daughter first right now, so find your own boyfriend, you tramp." Gardener said sternly and Daniel nodded to that, as Sarah wrapped her arms around him tightly at that remark.

"Well shall we, time to get ourselves settled in now, Rodney, if you're joining in, and brought your gear, just bring it to your apartment 1-05, you're a Lieutenant. So Lieutenant Dr. Rodney Mckay now, you're a gold." he said and Rodney nodded, and grabbed 5 sets of gold, matching the uniform that the younger officers wore, and headed for his apartment then. And put the full body suit, said folded up nicely, into the dresser, as he started putting his things away now.

After sending a message through, the gate activated a second time, 15 minutes later and he read it. 'My love I understand, the damage done will take time to reverse, so we give it one month, you just rest in light duty as you call it. As there is no rush, the monthly session for the samples, is September 15th, so come then. As you and your friends get 4 months with me and the festival is January 6th now, I have everything you need.'

'And said amounts now are ready and awaiting, our coins look like this.' she said and he saw, in the parchment envelope, 3 coins and with the french colonial shield. And nodded smiling. 'I also provided a list of what the quartet wish for now, as Father told you of the quintet, so 5 now, 5 later, and total comes to 100 samples. Plus the deliveries right now, so we are ready in hospitality now, just remember my last letter, and remind.'

'In your friends, to watch your key sentence, and no drinking on duty now, see you soon my dear friend, Shyla Beaumont, Queen of La Rochelle.' he read to himself and nodded, smiling. "Alright we're good, one month then we get started here, looks like Philippe agrees with you." he said and they nodded. "Well 2 weeks then we arrive, as you get started on the trade deals, you know the most, we follow your lead." she said and he nodded smiling.

As they headed for their spot on their floor, and Daniel made a mental note to remember where the apartment was. And as she lived across the hall from him then, as he started unpacking then smiling. "Even in the future, nobody gives up a good paper bound book, god I love this ship!" he said smiling, putting his collection of sci-fi and fantasy novels on the shelves then, checking the time, he saw it was 6:25 and nodded, as he changed for their date then finally.

As Daniel headed for the apartment that was owned by his girlfriend, as the quartet were now teamed and sharing a room, with his own cub gang, and as they adjusted to being together then. "Hey honey, ready for dinner?" she asked and he nodded smiling, as they had their first date, in years since they separated at the time, listening to his stories. She felt a severe amount of anger at the trio and her rival, for what they did to her boyfriend, seeing he was a shadow.

And of himself right now, the next morning, after coming to a decision, she headed for Landry's office. "Yes Sarah, what can I do for you exactly?" he asked and she sat down in the chair in front of him, "Last night, after hearing his exploits, is he told me everything, and to be quite blunt here, I never seen him like this before. He's a complete shadow of the man I know, that to be totally honest, I think it's best he never goes back at all, Carter's not good for him here."

"In truth, and those lunatics are hurting him more and more, he deserves better than that, so Sir, I think it best he severes all ties, completely with the SGC. Every member on the base or not, that has turned him into this, this is no command, no friendship, it's a prison." she said and he nodded in understanding. "I understand Sarah, and I plan to right now, he's better off here right now anyway, once we see how well he does, without them slowing him down now."

"We give it a week and then the search begins here, but with the 5 of you back to working together, it's the standard case of pandemonium in your team. And Adam told me, how you keep losing your temper enough to break something. So just watch where you throw that coffee mug, before Jean and I end up in the line of fire." he said and she nodded, as it was after a week of training, as Cam and Shepard learned fencing, that the mission to Camelot started…

Avalon Parts 1 & 2-The Search For Camelot:

After a week of training and the sextet got ready, it was that same week, that Data and Lal Spiner were born, carrying all their human knowledge. And after incorporating a new way to look and act human, they turned themselves into Androids. Only withouts the metal endo-skeletons, and incorporating their own brand of food and water fuel. They could blend in, with the rest of the crew now, as Data was dressed in the same style uniform that Geordi was.

While Lal was dressed in the same style Wesley was now as they flew the saucer section to the coordinates then, that Vala gave them. At the time now, as the group was gathered around the navigation console, on the adult bridge. "At least the ship is not going to sink from having that much treasure, coming on board, once we find it, as just two trunks. Said sank the jolly boat that Tim was in, before he got marooned on the island." Wesley said and Landry hid a chuckle.

"All right, excuse me son, guys clear the way kids, alright Lieutenant Marks, what do you got?" Landry asked and he explained. "Well, thanks to the ship sensors, we were able to map around the energy distortion that would have normally fooled deep ground sonar. I was able to define a large main cavern, a network of tunnels, and some smaller caves." he said to him then gently and he nodded. "So we found the entrance into the chamber, perfect." Daniel said to that news.

"Well done, Lieutenant." Cam said and he nodded. "Can you see what's in there, say large piles of metals?" Vala asked and he shook his head. "It's another Barque of heaven, obstacle course and then you get the goods." he said and the duo nodded in aggravation. "Well first test of our new team, so nobody get too uptight with each other." he said and she, and the 8 all nodded. "Uh, like I said, we could only map the exterior of the structure." he said and they nodded.

"Can you get us in there?" Cam asked and he shook his head. "Well, it's almost a half-mile underground, and there's no visible access from the surface." he said and Sarah crossed her arms. "Q what kind of technology did you put into this thing: advanced human technology won't work, options left?" she asked and Daniel looked up. "Asgard beams." he suggested and Marks shook his head and as he answered him, as Sarah, Anna and Vala exchanged looks at this.

"Tried that. Doesn't seem to penetrate whatever sort of energy shield is disguising the caves." he said and they nodded. "Wait, this is the Ancient Outpost disguised as the enterprise that if beaming technology doesn't work, and I found a ring transporter…" O'brien said and Vala smiled then. "Rings, we take rings." she said and everyone looks at her. "The Ancients were the Gate Builders, right? And they invented the rings too, they had to get in and out of there somehow."

"And I know this ship has rings, in disguise of the teleporter, so go with being an Ancient prodigy, beam in and by rings." she said and he smiled. "And there's being a skilled tactician, without explosives, use the ringing systems to get in and out." Cam said at that gently. "She's right." Daniel said and Marks nodded then. "Colm, I can upload the coordinates to your terminal, you do the rest, but Colonel, if there are rings down there, we should be able to lock on."

"But your radios won't work." he said and they nodded. "Risk I'm willing to take, to prevent the Ori from getting over here." Daniel said and Landry nodded. "The system lords were Jack, the Ori are me, along with Vala and Cam joining in and Teal'C switched journeys." he said and he nodded. "Colonel you know there's a slight possibility, you could get stuck in there?" he said and Daniel. "Just like there's a risk of the gate falling off the cliff." he said and Picard smiled gently.

"Yes it's a risk, but there is no pleasure of the gain, if there is no risk of the journey to get to it, and this is a big gain, and the first victory for us, the SGA." he said and Landry nodded as Daniel and Cam exchange looks, as Cam crosses the room, clapping Daniel on the shoulder. "Bring the first aid kit, before someone gets hurt." He said to Keller and she nodded in sympathy as they got into position. "You 5 go in first, we're right behind you." Dixon said and he nodded then.

"With this power drain, we may have trouble communicating with the Enterprise, sir." Lieutenant Commander Data Brent Spiner said, and he nodded. "Understood. Anything else?" he asked and he nodded. "Due to this forcefield, there is presently no way to beam us back, sir, till we completed the tests." he said and Geordi sighed exasperation. "Oh, you had to ask." He said and Will said it emphatically. "Understood." he said to him and then said it to Daniel gently then.

"Daniel we're gong in first, man, check the perimeter." he said and Daniel nodded to him. "Don't touch anything till we get in there, it's in Ancient, only I can read it." he said and they nodded to the orders, as they waited then "Energise." he said to Colm then as they beamed out, before, after a minute, the rings swoop down, depositing Cam, Keller, Teal'c, Daniel and Vala into a large dark cave. "Commander, we're over here!" Geordi called out and Daniel nodded in relief then.

That he shouted out to him then, before they had to go looking for their third team then, as, looking at the psyched look on Cam. It was, presumably, Cam's first time to travel by ring transport. "Wicked, if I thought gate travel is cool, this is even better!" he said and the trio exchanged amused smiles, as they swoop their flashlights around, for dangers. "And empty." he said as the quintet came in right behind them as Cam starts exploring the cave Vala follows.

"Guys get back over here, before you get lost, these doors could be booby trapped." Daniel said and they nodded and moved to them. "Thank god for your expertise here, in archeology, this happens all the time." he said and Daniel nodded. "Well we're just missing the girls and Worf otherwise, we got your entire team here, Will." he said and Will nodded, smiling. "I can't believe they never took your remarks sooner, this looks like the temple in India." Data said to him then.

"You do realize you're quoting the kids on the first season, with what we get into?" he asked and Cromwell tried to keep from laughing. "Yeah alright guys, let's focus here so no one gets lost in here, well at least no one over did it. But this took being annd archeologist and explorers a little too far right now." he said and they nodded. "Yeah alright split into 3 groups of 5, stick together no stragglers, before you get lost in here, and leave the channel open." he said to him then.

"Yeah so what's next exactly, Kali was a blood thirsty goddess, we always knew that." Geordi said to him and he nodded. "Hence the fact after killing Sobek, she took his head, and has it hanging on the wall of her throne room." he said and they shuddered. "First the heart, now the head, what's the next body part to go." Cam asked and Vala looked at him. "If it's a man, do you need to ask, Cameron?" she said and they nodded. "Point taken." Will said for all of them.

"A sword in a stone." Cam said and Daniel nodded. "We're on the right track, King Richard Lionheart, we're on the first crusade." he said and Cam nodded. "Meaning we keep that up, and instead of a surgical strike, and we do it in a prevention over cure." Dixon said and Daniel nodded, as Vala, still getting used to earth metaphors, said it gently. "What's that supposed to mean?" she said and Keller chuckled. "Military metaphor, Vala." she said to her and she nodded.

"Well, King Arthur once pulled a sword from a stone as proof of his righteousness and royalty." he said and Cam nodded. "I read the book, but I love Arthurian legends, Excalibur." he said and Daniel chuckled and at that. "Actually, that's a common misconception, see, Excalibur was forged by the Lady of the Lake at Avalon, but it wasn't given to King Arthur. And until after the sword he pulled from the stone broke in battle." he said and they nodded smiling to the news.

"This one must be the same sword that got destroyed, here we go again, alright Cam be careful, there could be a booby trap." Dixon said and Cam smiles and spits in his palms, rubbing them together. He approaches the sword and tries to pull it out to no avail, groaning with the effort. "Give it a try, Muscles, I'll give you half." she said and Teal'C looks at Vala, who's still smiling and nodding encouragingly, as Cam grunts and releases his hold on the sword and nodded.

"Okay, yeah, that's in there pretty good." he said as immediately after Mitchell steps back from the stone, a noise is heard that puts the 8 men on alert, readying their weapons. A hologram appears of an old, white-bearded man, dressed in long robes and holding a long staff. "Hold fire, remember show no violence, that must be Merlin's avatar for the game here." Daniel called out and the 7 lowered their guns, as he listened to the avatar gently to the message then.

"Welcome, ye knights of the round table, men of honor, followers of the path of righteousness. Only those with wealth of knowledge and truth of spirit shall be given access to the underworld. the storehouse of riches of Ambrosius Aurelianus, prove ye worthy, and all shall be revealed." he said and they nodded. "Just take it easy on the bullets, no wasting ghosts, and Teal'C, relax." Dixon said and the sextet and Vala nodded

"That's incredible. Certain scholars have speculated that Ambrosius and Arthur were one and the same, but that would have made him 74 years old at the Battle of Mount Badon. It's actually quite fascinating. See, Ambrosius was the son of the Emperor Constantine…" Daniel said and Bert smiled as he exchanged relieved looks with Teal'C, hearing him sound like his old self again. The enthusiasm for the job returning again, as he started his new life with them finally then.

Vala approaches the stone and sits on it, playing her hand across the sword hilt. When she thinks no one is paying attention, she attempts to pull the sword out herself with no success. "Yes, yes, yes. Fascinating, is the one thing it's not, how do we prove ye worthy and get all to be revealed?" Vala said and Teal'C thought it over, as he looked from her to the tunnels behind her and further into the cave and nodded. "We've 10, so 2 teams?" Addams said and he nodded.

"Perhaps there is something in these tunnels, just be safe, because if the Unas penetrated, it's another shootout waiting to happen." he said and they nodded. "Got it, alright guys, you go that way, Teal'C you're in charge here, Jennifer you're with us, Vala." Dixon said to that gently and she nodded. "See, that is why he's here, Genius, we're going to split up. I'm with Teal'c. Yo! Wait up." he said as he followed him Bert, Shepard and Addams then and they nodded then.

Separating on that, they walked the cavern then, while Teal'C and Mitchell come to a small chamber at the end of the tunnel. A stone altar is centered in the chamber. As they approach, flames ignite from small round objects set in the floor, Teal'C appears disturbed. And Cam smiles and approaches the altar, cautiously viewing the room for any danger. "Check this out." he said smiling, Teal'C enters the chamber cautiously, scanning behind him to the entrance.

A moment later, a large stone slab lowers behind him, sealing both he and Mitchell in the room. Both try and stop the slab before it reaches the floor, but do not succeed. "Okay, that can't be good…, Jackson, come in, Daniel, can you hear me?" he said into the radio, and Bert nodded. "The forcefield, they're interfering with our radios, outside of the ship, Cam." he said and they, Shepard and Addams nodded in agreement, knowing they had to wait then as they started.

Daniel:

As at the same time Daniel, Vala, Keller and Dixon were wondering their side of the cavern, til they have reached the end of their tunnel and find a similar chamber. And to the one discovered by Mitchell and Teal'c as they approach, the flames in their circular nests on the floor again wink into existence. "If you immediately know the candlelight is fire…" he said with a reminder to what Morgan told him, knowing he would understand said proverb one day at the remark.

"Huh?" she said and he shook his head. "Nothing, it's okay Vala, just something Morgan said, I'm trying to figure out the meaning." he said and she nodded gently. "Hmm." she said and they turned enter the chamber. As soon as they pass the threshold, a large stone slab. The lowers to the floor, it has already sealed them in by the time Daniel approaches and checks its weight. Vala looks forlorn for a moment at being trapped, then runs her light around the room.

There is also a stone altar in their alcove, on which two covered pots set. One pot is silver, the other gold. "Okay, the hologram said that "only those with the wealth of knowledge and truth of spirit will pass, so this has to be a test." he said to Dixon and he nodded as they approach the altar. In front of each pot is a caption written in Ancient. Vala gestures to the gold pot with her flashlight. "What does it say?" she asked and he read out the message to her gently then.

"It says 'the universe is infinite'." he said and she nodded. "That seems "infinitely" not useful. How about this one?" she said and he read it out. "The treasure is in this pot."" he said and she nodded. "Really? I was hoping for something a little more substantial, but okay…" she said to that and reaches for the lid, but Daniel stops her, raising his finger in warning. "Wait, wait, wait, you guys and your riddles, timer till you get it right." he said and she nodded then gently.

"Too obvious?" she said and he shook his head then. "Give me a minute." he said holding his hand up, as he tries to think the puzzle through. Vala pauses for two seconds, then grunts and again reaches for the lid of the pot, Daniel waves his hand at her again, halting her movement. "Not a minute….., Still not a minute." he said and Dixon nodded, as he waited patiently for him to get it worked out then for their side of it, as at the same time, Cam had moved to table.

Mitchell:

As sitting there were eight stone squares labeled with symbols are set into tiny indentations on the stone altar. Below the eight squares is a caption written in Ancient. Mitchell is studying the altar as Teal'c runs the light from his flashlight along the walls and ceiling of the alcove. "All right. I am assuming this is some kind of puzzle. Can you read this writing?" he asked and Teal'c moves over to the altar and looks at the Ancient writing. "No." he said and he sighed at that.

"Well, I think we're supposed to arrange the stones in some sort of order. What do you think?" he said to him, and Teal'C looks back at the slab covering the entrance. He aims his P-90 weapon and fires repeatedly at the stone, causing Cam to jump and aim his own weapon. When Cam realizes Teal'C is only firing at the stone slab, he becomes very agitated, bouncing on his feet. "Teal'C damn it, we told you about that, stone wall." Bert said to him sternly at that.

"Whoa! Whoa! Whoa, man! Bullets bounce!" Cam said sternly, emphasizing this by using his finger to demonstrate a ricochet, looking like he's drawing a 7 in the air, twice. He shakes his head and returns his attention to the puzzle. Teal'C meanwhile begins to grin as he studies his colleague's discomfiture, as Cam glances back at Teal'c and is annoyed at Teal'c's expression. He sighs and takes the eight symbols out of their recessed places at that in aggravation then.

Daniel:

Still working out the riddle, Daniel is standing and thinking, holding his finger up in a gesture of wait. Vala has moved so that she is on the other side of the altar from him, getting very antsy. "Okay, how about this? We open both of them. Whichever one the treasure's in is the right one." she said to him and he shook his head. "No, I think that's the wrong idea. There's two pots here, I think the point of the exercise is to only open one pot." he said and she nodded to him then.

"This says, 'treasure is inside." she said and he nodded. "It's the reverse, but lift that lid, we triggered the timer, so just wait right now." Dixon said, coming to inevitable conclusion, knowing this was why Jack was too impatient with Riddles. "Right. Which makes it the obvious first choice." he said to him then. "So, over to the gold." she said and he said it. "No." he said and she said it quickly. "Back to the silver then." she said and he quickly said it to that then.

"No. D-D-Don't." he sajd, but before he can stop her, Vala lifts the lid on the silver pot. "It's empty." She said and then sighed. "There's nothing I hate more than a bold faced lie." she said and slams the lid down, puts her hand on her hip and sighs. "Okay." she said and reaches for the gold pot's lid, but Daniel grabs her arm with one hand and points his weapon at her with the other. "Wou…Would you stop!" he said sternly to her at that and she looked at him then.

"What? We're already trapped in here. How much worse can it get?" She asked, before a low rumbling is heard, as they all look up as dust starts falling. The ceiling is beginning to lower on top of them. "As a stupid question…." Keller said in aggravation and he nodded sternly then. "How about that much?" he said to her then. "I knew it was a mistake the moment I said it. The moment." she said, as at the same time then, Cam and Teal'C are trying to figure out their's.

Mitchell:

As Cam places the blocks in a combination in the indented places. When the last one is in place, he pauses for a second, but nothing happens. "Okay. That didn't work." he said and they hear a rumbling, Teal'c looks around and notices the dust starting to settle from above. "Oh boy, great someone set off the security alarm, in trying to take guesses." Bert said, knowing immediately what happening as the ceiling begins to lower. "Indeed." he said to him and Cam said it then.

And in aggravation. "Oh, come on!" He said and as they desperately pull the blocks back out of the indentations to try another combination, as at the same time Vala pulls her arm away from Daniel and opens the gold pot in desperation. "This one's empty too!" she said and he nodded. "I know!" he said, knowing they blew the first attempt then, before she said it. "That doesn't make sense!" she said and he nodded. "I know!" he snapped at her sternly, as he tried to do it.

"Captain Mitchell!" he said and Can glances around to see if the combination he tried worked. Immediately, he starts pulling out the blocks to start once again. "Two down, and only a billion possible combinations to go." he said and he said it through gritted teeth. "Are you still having fun, Captain Mitchell?" he said at that and Cam spares a momentary glance at Teal'c before continuing to work on the puzzle, while Teal'c still tries to push against the ceiling.

And without success as Mitchell keeps working on puzzle combinations. "Do you ever get a bad feeling about something?" he said to him, praying Daniel arrived to get him out of this, as he was a novice, as an archeology prodigy. And clearly he had a lot to learn from the older man, as he tried again then, in getting it right then…..

Daniel:

While going was going at as Vala is looking at him desperately at that then. Realizing it was another test of the soul, greed, and she had to let go, before it killed them. "So what do we do?" she said to him quickly then and Daniel looks up as he realizes the ceiling is already touching the top of his head. "I don't know!" he said to her and she said it. "You don't know!? So now is a bad time to tell you that I hate small spaces?!" she said quickly and he bends over since then.

As he can no longer stand up straight and sighs deeply, glaring at Vala sternly then. "Think! You are the expert on all things Ancient." she said and he looked at her. "Yeah, you didn't care about that two minutes ago. 'Let's try this one. How about this one?' I'm thinking right now, patience verses annoyance, charity verses greed. That's the point of the test: wisdom, patience and Charity." he said and she nodded as Dixon ended the argument on, knowing he lost his focus.

"Vala, he doesn't do well under pressure just relax, Dan, you can do this, just focus and relax bro!" Dixon said and they nodded. "Gold, silver, gold, silver, the message above them, said riddle, we have to get that worked out." Keller said over the noise and he nodded. "I know, I know, we did it too fast and screwed up, we have to try again, if this is like the guy's puzzle. We can try again, and get it right the second time." Dixon said and Daniel nodded sternly then.

"I'm thinking, I'm thinking, just don't rush me." he said to Vala and she nodded shaking then. "Sorry, but could you possibly think a little bit faster!" she said and he thought it over then. "The universe is infinite." he said and she nodded. "No doubt it's deliberately ironic that we're in an ever decreasing space!" she said and he nodded. "No. It's the second part of ancient proverb, 'There is only one truth: the universe is infinite." he said and she nodded quickly then.

"How does that help us?!" she asked and he nodded. "There is only one truth…, This pot says: 'The treasure's in this pot'." he explained and she nodded. "It's not in either of them." she said and Dixon froze. "Rushed test, we did it it wrong." Keller said and Daniel nodded. "I know, we did it wrong, so we have to see if we can do it again." he said and they quickly covered them as he read out the proverb then gently at that remark.

"There is only one truth: the universe is infinite." Therefore the statement about the treasure being in this pot has to be false. So the treasure must be in…" he lifting the lid of the gold pot, inside is a gold coin. Daniel and Vala, both bent at the waist due to the ever lowering ceiling, stare at the pot's contents in surprise. The ceiling quickly rises to its former height, the altar, which had also slightly lowered, also rises to its full height and the stone slab.

Unsealing the chamber lifts, revealing the exit. "Nice work Dan, one down and one to go." Dixon said and she smiled in relief then. "Wow. Good thing you know your ancient proverbs, otherwise we'd be…, Cameron." she said and Daniel nodded. "Teal'C." he said in response as they charged out the door, and headed for where they heard him shout it out. "Yo! Feel free to jump in here at anytime!" he said over the rumbling and Daniel arrived at that. "Cam!" he called out to him.

"Hey! We got a little problem in here!" he called back to him then gently. "Uh, what's the puzzle?" he asked him then gently. "There's eight stones with symbols on them and some Ancient writing. I think." he said and Daniel nodded. "Describe the writing!" he said and he read it out "Uh, 'U' with a square over it, Chair with a little square, Upside-down backwards 'L', call that 'seven', Squares unevenly stacked, That chair thing again."

"Big 'N' and "sad face." he said and Dixon nodded. "Reflection." he read out and they nodded. "Uh, reflect, it means 'reflect'." he said to him then. "Reflect?" he said and he nodded. "Reflect, reflect…reflect on the eightfold path: Buddhism teaches an eightfold path to enlightenment, it's a mirror image. Just remove half the symbol from the stones, reflect on the eightfold, so 1 through 8." he said and he nodded as he did that.

As Cam holds one of the blocks, his thumb partially obscures the symbol, making the remainder look like the number four. He cocks his head, inspired, and repeats covering and uncovering part of the symbol. "Four." he said and nodded and then starting putting them in order and it stopped and the stone slab rises. Cam, Bert and Adams are fine, crouched on the floor of the chamber as the ceiling rises, the 7 stand and look at each other in complete relief then.

"You did it…, nice work Cam, you did great, that's your first test in being an expert on Ancient prodigy in training, as a junior archeologist and anthropologist now." he said and he smiled at that gently. "Yeah, thanks, you were right, the symbols were actually the numbers 1 through 8 and their mirror image. Thanks for the helping in a fast tutorial Dan, I needed that right now." he said and Daniel smiled in affection at him.

"All right, we passed the tests, so this should work." he said and Daniel nodded. "Cam, remember the fencing lessons I taught you right now, if this triggers a battle. And between you and another hologram here right now." he said and he nodded as he studied the sword for a moment, then reaches and lifts it out of the stone in one fluid gesture. The blade is long and gleaming silver, as Cam turns to the others, holding the sword and looking pleased.

Behind him an amour-clad knight with a sword appears, Vala and Daniel are both wary, and Shepard aims his weapon, and Cam turns to see what's got their attention. The knight lifts his sword into an attack position, and Cam counters by holding his sword at the ready. "Yeah I should've known it wouldn't be that easy." he said sternly as he went to a ready stance and the knight strikes out, and Mitchell blocks the blow with his sword as he did it 3 more times.

"Weird." he said as he and the knight trade blows back and forth, during a pause, Mitchell steps closer to Daniel. "Thank god for the training you gave me, this was a hologram and not the real thing." he said to him over his shoulder then. "You, uh, you done this before?" Shepard asked and he said it."Uh, fight a knight in armor? No, can't say that I have." he said to him and he nodded. "Well, you're doing good." Rodney said and he smiled then.

"Heh, took a little fencing in college, Daniel furthered my training with a lightsaber that the sparring matches got a little out of hand from time to time." he said as the fight started picking up and he dove out of the way and the knight strikes. While Cam is facing him, forcing Mitchell to his knees with a grunt, a green glowing light. Momentarily appears on his back where he was hit. "Ahh, Jeez." he said in pain and Keller checked his back at that remark.

"I don't think it actually cut you." she said and Daniel froze. "That's because it didn't, but the repeated blows are going to be like death from a thousand cuts. Cam focus, if it's you can't throw it to me, you have to concentrate on what I taught you and use that." he said and he nodded. "Well, it hurt like hell." he said to her at that as he started going all out and then cut it three times across the chest then and it disappeared and he sighed in relief.

"Oh, come on. That's got to be it." he said and then nodded. "Anyone take anything?" he asked and she shook her head. "The pots, close the pots, and put the sword back." Daniel said and he nodded as they split up and put everything back the way it was. As he put the sword back and Daniel returns to the still empty main chamber, as the chamber fills with gold. Urns, vases, statues, goblets, coins, jewels and other treasures and Cam smiled in satisfaction.

"Worth it." he said and they nodded smiling in agreement as the entire excavation team came on the scene and ran a count. "How much we got here, Sarah?" he asked and Sarah smiled. "That's 900,000 Nonillion in coins, and a furthered 900,000 Nonillion more here in jewelry here, we got quite the treasure trove, but knowledge over power right now. We're in this now to learn as much as we can, Cameron." she said smiling and he nodded with a chuckle.

"Alright so once we get the mallets, we brand them to their country, but if just these 3 and the bronze make a difference, what about the quintet exactly. What do they want exactly, as we offer a furthered 500,000,000 to Shyla, in gold, for the third mine. And we brought in, in total, 750 Tridecillion in only 3 months." Daniel said and Landry smiled in delight then. "Alright then, we do that, as we work out who gets what, and what they want now." he said and he nodded.

"If that's not a treasure trove and nothing is right now, but clearly Merlin and Morgan, even Ra over did the training course a bit too much. But there's the question, would they choose to get stuck in the system for a few days. Just to get the biggest score ever of their careers, or is it easier is better?" Cam said and Landry nodded. "Test of the soul, the challenge is part of the ward, little brother, but knowing these idiots now."

"Why risk doing this as hard as possible, but the darkside is faster, easier more seductive, the challenge is part of the reward. That's what we're learning, listen to this." Daniel said and he nodded smiling gently to him then."Prudence, wisdom, charity, kindness, and faith, let these be your guide on this perilous quest. Only those of virtue true may win the prize concealed beyond the reach of the flawed and tainted."

"The Sangreal shall instead belong to he who speaks the guardian's name.'. So what does that say to you exactly." He asked and Cam and the SGA team exchanged smiles. "And 5 of those match the heavenly virtues, it's a Catholic test of the soul. You can follow the virtues and go to heaven, or let sin dictate your lives and you get trapped. In the system, trapped on the planet that chose you." Cam said sternly and he nodded gently.

"Or just trapped on the edge of the infernal regions, going to hell, literally and Netu would be hell right now at the current moment. So choose the virtues here kids, and what it means is exercise the heavenly virtues. On our quest to protect our friends from evil, we exercise all of these, we are on our path. And to heaven and becoming ascended being, ergo angels ourselves." Landry said smiling gently at that remark then.

Just as he was answering Morgan appeared and Daniel smiled. "Nicely done my apprentice, you deciphered Merlin's and my test of patience accurately. Use this to further your training now my students, only with these virtues can you achieve it. An even greater achievement than your counterpart department ever could, but always remember. There is no pleasure of the gain, if there is no risk of the journey to get there now."

"Be safe my dear, and may you find your path to enlightenment and become even more powerful then you are now." she said and he nodded. "Yes Mother, I will make you proud of me, stay in touch now." he said and she nodded smiling as she disappeared and Landry patted his shoulder in fatherly pride then. "You certainly made me proud, you just got us a giant victory now, son." Landry said smiling and he nodded gently to him at that.

"Yep this was something Dwight taught me, but there is no pleasure of the gain, if there is no risk of the journey to get there. The challenge is part of the reward right now, in treasure hunts of this magnitude." he said and Landry smiled sternly and the news and Jack swallowed hard at that. "Never see this coming now people, he passed a test of lust for any kind of power, and knowledge over power is a tool, you must learn."

"We're looking at, if we have to come back at another 800 octillion here right now in gold and jewels right now. So one of these is not like the other, one of these just doesn't belong in old Dark Ages tradition. So now the question is: just where is it hiding in the pile right now at the moment."Daniel said and he and Landry nodded gently at that remark, and the Sesame Street reference had the rest of the team chuckle at that

"Hey dad, Uncle Daniel, found something here you may want to look at right now." Wes said and he moved to him and took the book and Cam chuckled as he said it. "Well that figures: Room full of gold and jewels, and the Drs. Jackson and Cadet Crusher finds the one book. So, what's it about?" he said and Daniel smiled as Sarah looked down smiling at the new title, though just a week in then. "Hey Andy, remember the heliopolis right now?" he asked and he nodded.

"Uh oh, that can't be good." Cam said smiling at the reminder and he nodded. "Alright Cameron, enough of the wise cracks." Sarah said smiling and Landry chuckled. "Well fresh start, you get back together, and he's happier then he ever been now finally here. Been a week, but there's the him we know showing again, the idea is working, he's healing, albeit slowly true. But the emotional therapy is healing, he's not hiding anything from you." Warner said to her gently.

"Same difference, and while he tried to pull out, we see it through, but let me have it Danny." Landry said for him then and Daniel nodded. "Actually, it's a story: It's written like fiction." he said and Cam said it playfully. "Once upon a time…" he said and he hid a chuckle as he read it to them. "Once upon a time, there was a race of people that went on a great journey through space, across the universe, they were called the Altera."

"After much time…" he started to say and then stood up. "Yeah I just found the reason why our benefactors jumped ship from where they came from. And all the way to the Milky Way galaxy." he said and they nodded sternly as Landry responded to that immediately, in noticing Daniel's movement. As he stood up at that in concern, knowing this had to do with why the Ancients chose him. "Have you found something, Daniel?" He said and he nodded.

"I think I found the Ancient's original home planet and why they came from their original galaxy all the way over here, listen to this. It says that the Alterans named their new home 'Avalon', and that they built many Astria Porta." he said and Cam got up. "Stargates?" he said, translating that and they nodded. "Yeah." Daniel said smiling and he nodded then. "You realize what this could mean, in why they left." he said and they and Vala nodded slowly at that then.

"Astria is latin for star, porta is gate, so stargates, they built many stargates, so that's your real name, the Alterans. Celestis, alright that's your home planet, alright we understand, so you left it after a disagreement of spiritual ethics with the Ori. And split to 2 sides, and lead us on our spiritual journey and we took our first jump, first the outpost, now here. If they're doing burning at the stake, we have to find the bloody thing and destroy it." she said and they nodded then.

"They been trying to protect us from the Ori for the last 900 years, since Christ died, we're not in the market for new religions." Landry said sternly and he nodded. "Whoa. We've always presumed that the Ancients were the first evolution of humans. in this galaxy…, but, but this…this is the first evidence suggesting they came here. And long ago from somewhere far, far away." Cam said sternly and he nodded gently to him then.

"Yes." he said and they nodded, as behind them, Rodney saw the very tip of crystal sticking out of the pile and nodded. "John, I need a hand here right now." he said and he and Elizabeth quickly dug it up. "Got'cha now, you son of a…" Shepard said and Rodney looked it over. "I think this is what he was looking for, destroy it and we destroy a secondary war. Said based on a power vacuum here right now." he said and they nodded as he said it as he finished up.

As Marks brushed some gold trinkets away from a large, black, domed device with a blue crystal adorning its top. "Hey Colonel Jackson, found something here now." he said smiling and Daniel turned to him and smiled. "Found you, you old snake in the grass, well there is no getting over here right now." he said smiling and Landry smiled that he knew it when he saw it. "Heh, one of these things is not like the others alright." Cam said smiling sternly then.

"How's that for progress right now, we get 2 scores in a week, and 5 more trades walking in the door and then get a bonus by finding that, we destroy that, and destroy the stones. And when we find them right now, alright here, Vala, this pile is worth $2,500,000,000. So that goes to you, but listen to me, this amount gets 15,000 years worth of food and other goods. Just to fill your house with here on earth, as you settle into your life here, but trust me now."

"Being outside this time of year, you're going to freeze to death, but the dome heated, so making it Canada spring during winter and fall there, so just sweaters now. So it's worth it right now, with you inside the SGA safe and sound now here right now." he said and she nodded at the reveal in shock, seeing she no longer had to be profiteer finally. At that news, she had a living a duty of service to the entire galaxy as she joined her new friends.

"Okay so that's my amount to live on for a long time, I'm working with the guys and Sarah, before we move it to the SGC. And General Picard parks everyone here at the SGA, in case of trouble right now." she said and he nodded gently to her at that remark. "Exactly baby, but in truth here right now the Reds, the NID now are dangerous, so be careful when you and Daniel are busy now and the rest of this is for trade deals."

"And payment, when you're scoping out the Camelot based planets while finish searching for the weapon right now. As we got 8 to 9 years after we destroy this and and the stones that fit those spaces on this device right now. We just create the weapon and then launch it now." Landry said and she nodded, as she put the amount he and Picard gave her in a trunk to be shipped back to the SGA, as they piled everything else.

Returning to the Enterprise, Daniel flipped the switch to contact the U.N. "Ambassadors of the U.N., the mission to find Camelot and the device was a success. It's an Ancient Communication device, long range, the notches in this device are meant for stones or something. The two together, you get shoved into the head of the person, on that side of the galaxy. That had the stones right now." he said and they nodded in delight at the news then gently at the remark.

"That's wonderful news Commander, how much is the treasure trove worth exactly?" he asked and he smiled. "Total comes to 985 Duodecillion, we got enough gold, silver, jewels and artifacts to trade with, but Jean David. I need your 17th century minting mallet and we need bronze, in coins, I'm running a bio scan. To learn what each member wants, in the quartet I never did yet, once done, I can sent you the list." he said and Levitte nodded in understanding.

"I decided as a result of a missed year last year, in payment for the quintet, 1 billion each, in all 4 and the tetanus vaccine, so that's the entire 2 years. And we make delivery same day of the normal 500 million every year after that." he said and they nodded to the decision. "With that amount, there's no worry about going bankrupt now, as this replaces. In the normal earth drugs, and replaces them with stronger medications, Commander, but yes."

"Very well, we will send the bronze and the minting mallet, as you brought back a massive victory for us, if just you can get the job done. Then what's this say about the SGC, but just be silent and let you do your work already." he said and Landry nodded in agreement smiling. "Well get back to you in a week, if you're going to be gone a couple weeks, so Henry, once you're ready, we send that you." Ivor Roberts said gently to him.

"Yes Ambassador, we can wait, no rush, we're going back into the Barque of Heaven, Gathering the technology there, as we never had time to do that." Daniel said and he nodded. "So that's three scores in only 3 months, and furthered training here, as you said. The point of the exercise is to find these addresses and move on now. Clearly the SGC never got enough done, you're fixing their mistakes right now." he said and Daniel nodded then.

"Yes Ambassador, Jack's self preservation techniques are hindering the areas of bringing in the goods, because we're doing a head count. And for the Celtic gold, and separating the coins into gold and silver, and the jewels with them." he said and they nodded. "Alright take your time, no rush, let us know when you're going to see the duo and General Carter, and we got the supplies all ready to go." he said and they ended the call on that as they prepared.

And for the next step. "Teal'C we're going back in, but this time, we come prepared." he said and Teal'C nodded sternly. "Indeed, we go prepared, but she's dead now, and we finish this, once is enough, you get hurt, you take the pills for it, in healing." he said, and Daniel nodded, knowing he was scared out of his mind he was going to lose him, by that type of injury. As they prepared to re-enter the obstacle course that tested their bonds to the limit 3 months prior.

As he pressed the book cover page, and the illustration was drawn, and they smiled as he said it gently. "Computer networking title to the new story, for Atlantis: Stargate Atlantis Trading Grounds I: Return To La Rochelle, book is completed, and ready to be sent to the author." he said and heard a gentle tone. "Understood Commander, shall I bring on board, all Stargate books done so far?" it asked and he nodded, as he answered her to that question.

"Replicate number 45,000 per book in the original, but the pilot episode, the follow up to Chulak, the book after Argos, The Price You Pay, Aris's follow up. The aftermath to Hathor and my true story to Shyla's kingdom, directly after Enigma, and from the time. That I went back into the Sarcophagus, to the return to the mines and now this one starts the new Series now. Chapter 1, of the hexology." he said and the books started filling up the cargo bay then, to be moved.

To the books stores and libraries, so everyone on board, knew why he left the SGC now. "Okay, with this being completely borderline high PG-13 rated, it's the show is for 13 year olds. And up only, as they see you for you, the Great Commander, Dr., Daniel Jackson. And Commander Teal'C Thomas Martell, former First Prime, and a freedom fighter. Leading a new team and future of the Stargate program to victory." Landry said and they nodded, smiling at the remark….

End Of Chapter 1.
