Age 761, a historical time for the world of Dragon Ball… Many who are aware of this time period know of what is to come, but… With the Saiyan, Ayote, history has changed dramatically. A Saiyan born on Planet Vegeta, Ayote was a less violent lifeform compared to her kin. Born of a decent power level, but not the will to kill, her father attempted to send her on her first mission before she was truly ready. This led to the meeting with Bardock and Gine, their first born Raditz, and soon, their second born Kakarot. During the final day of Planet Vegeta's existence, Ayote was sent off world by Elery, only leaving Ayote with a simple objective: "To live her life." Upon arriving to Earth, the young orphan Saiyan was taken in by a strange old man on a small island and with a lone turtle for company; the martial arts master Roshi, one who would be important in her life for training her to not only be a proper fighter, but also a human on Earth… while not picking up on his more perverted tendencies… Her life changed when she found her fellow Saiyan in the form of Kakarot, now going by the name of Goku. Adventuring with the young boy, the duo quickly became rivals once Ayote showed her immense strength to the much weaker Goku; he made her a yardstick for him to reach in power one day. Through each encounter, both with each other and with others, their strengths grew and grew until their final match in the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament… Five years have passed since that time, with Ayote and Goku now a married couple… Of course, where are the two now?

Within a dojo built close to Aru Village, a village once terrorized by Oolong a long time ago, a pair of students were sparring in the center of an arena. One student was in the garb of the Satan Castle Martial Arts School from the neighboring city, having a matching afro to his master, who was cheering him on. The other student was dressed in a white gi with black highlights, the symbol for Turtle on the back while the symbol for Crane was on the front. The young boy had black hair, long and wild, very much like Ayote's, and with a distinct tail, which he used to trip up his opponent and kick out of the arena. The referee called the winner, Son Gohan. Nearby, the master of the Satan Castle growled in anger.

Mark: "Hey! That little punk cheated! I don't remember tails being allowed in the ring!"

Voice: "And I don't recall posing and boasting being a technique either, yet I allow it."

Ayote stood up from her mat, having meditated while the match was going. The older Saiyan sported an outfit similar to what she had during the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament, though now with the same symbols Gohan had on his gi. Mark, in a fit of anger, walked right up to Ayote, towering over her.

Mark: "Listen here, you… I don't care if you're a champion or former champion. You think you can get away using some cheap tricks like extra limbs?"

Ayote: "A guy used literal smell to try and beat one of my friends while a woman tried to use sex appeal. Having an extra limb seems about as harmless as they come."

Mark: "W-Well, uh… What about your students who don't have tails then?"

Ayote looked at where Mark pointed, turning to the students, who comprised of the various younger villagers from Aru Village and some city folk interested in training under the new dojo, all wearing the same gi as Gohan. Ayote shrugged.

Ayote: "I have Chi-Chi, Krillin, Tien, and Chiaotzu to help. I'm not the only instructor here."

Mark: "I don't need your sass, lady! I came here to see if you were up to snuff to be a dojo master, but all I see is a bunch of cheaters! Cheaters who wouldn't last even a second in the ring in the real sport!"

Ayote just rolled her eyes as she counters by calming pointing out why that's not the case. Gohan, bored of the conversation between the adults, walked outside of the dojo. He then spots an unusual sight - a young girl, with the tiniest hints of pigtails forming, doing a training routine. Gohan walked up to the girl and greeted her.

Gohan: "Hey there. What are you doing?"

Girl: "Hm? Doing some training while my dad's just arguing about nothing."

Gohan: "'Dad'?"

Gohan looked back inside, then at the girl.

Gohan: "Oh! You're Mr. Mark's daughter?"

Girl: "Yeah. Name's Videl. What's your name?"

Gohan: "Son Gohan. My mom's the owner of this dojo."

Videl: "No kidding? I bet you're a special flake then."

Gohan didn't immediately register that as an insult, but Videl continued to train on her own, tossing straight punches. The young lad looked at this before blocking a punch with his palm. Videl was stunned, since she wasn't holding back that punch, but the challenging stare from Gohan told her to throw another. Gohan blocked the next punch, then a kick from the girl. A light spar ensued as Videl tried to get through Gohan's guarding before…

Mark: "Videl!"

Mark's calling tripped her up, which startled Gohan too. Mark grabbed Videl, holding her in his arms.

Mark: "Videl… Did that little cheater hurt you, sweetie?"

Videl: "Ugh… Dad… I was-"

Mark: "Don't you ever come near my darling daughter! You hear me!? That goes for your cheating Mom too, punk!"

Mark then left in a huff, getting in his car with his students. Before Mark drove off, Videl and Gohan exchanged a look to each other, curious if they would ever see each other again. Ayote walked outside, placing a hand on Gohan's head.

Ayote: "Got bored of your old lady enough to start seeking opponents on your own? Or did you get smitten by the girl next door?"

Gohan: "M-Mom! I was just… curious about her strength, that's all."

Ayote: "Hah! Once a Saiyan, always a Saiyan. Even an Earthborn one."

Gohan: "By the way… Where's Mr. Krillin and the others?"

Ayote: "Krillin is over at Master Roshi's… Actually, today's the day where we Turtle Students are supposed to meet up. You've never seen Master Roshi's island, have you?"

Gohan: "Is it a resort island!?"

Ayote: "...Not… really… Come on. Let's go get your Dad and we'll head over there real quick."

Gohan: "Alright!"

Ayote calls for the Flying Nimbus as the cloud swoops down, stopping in front of the duo. She jumps on with Gohan in her arms as they flew off towards Mount Paozu.

Elsewhere, on an ostrich farm, a farmer was watching over his flock of flightless birds as they mingled. That is until a sound rang from high above; something was coming from above. With a mighty crash, scaring the flock into a frenzy, the unknown object lands just a small ways away from the farm, requiring the farmer to drive in that direction. Once at the location of the object, he finds a metal, circular device with a red glass window; it was no meteor like the farmer guessed. With a hiss, the object opened as a tall, long spiky haired man came out, wearing a distinct armor and with a tail wrapped around his waist.

Farmer: "W-Wah! A-An alien!"

The alien floated out of the crater his space pod created, very calm and collected as he lands on the grass, only paying the minimalest of attention to the scared farmer as he surveyed the area.

Alien: "So, this is Earth… Hmph. Kakarot… You've failed in your mission, seeing as these pathetic creatures are still breathing."

Farmer: "D-Don't move! I got mahself a 12 gauge and I know how tah use it!"

The man only smiled as he clicked the button on the device on his head. His grin only widened slightly as the device gave an alien reading only he could read.

Alien: "Hehe… A power level of 5? You truly think you can beat me with such pitiful strength? What scum…"

Recognizing a taunt and threat from this tall figure, the farmer lets out a scream as he shoots his gun. But to his horror, his bullet is caught by the stranger, who didn't even flinch at the shooting. Readjusting the bullet behind his thumb, the tall man simply flicked the bullet right back, hitting the farmer hard enough to slam into his truck with a mighty dent on the hood, effectively killing him.

Alien: "Hmph. What a bore. I expected a little more fight than that. Now then…"

The man presses his device's button again, scanning for other power readings. He detects two notable power levels…

Alien: "Hm? A power level of 515 and 550 respectfully? That can't possibly be Kakarot… Yet it is stronger than any other power level on this planet…"

The man floats up into the air before flying off in the direction of the power levels.

Ayote and Gohan fly over the mountainous range of Mount Paozu until the duo spot Goku in a meditative state, sitting by a lake while his tail was in the water. As Gohan was about to rush over to his dad, Ayote stops him as she instructs him to just watch. After a minute more, Goku's eyes open instantly as he flings his tail into the air - revealing it to be artificial - as a gigantic fish is flung into the air with it. With a quick motion, Goku jumps up and kicks the fish onto land, smiling as he caught a big catch.

Goku: "Alright! This looks like a keeper!"

Ayote: "I dunno. I'm used to seeing bigger."

Goku pauses before looking behind the fish, spotting his wife and son.

Goku: "O-Oh! Ayote! I didn't think you two were done so fast."

Gohan: "Hey, Dad! I managed to beat those Satan Castle guys."

Goku: "Didja!? Alright! Already starting to show a lot of promise, and you're still so young!"

Ayote: "Come on, you two. We need to freshen up and get ready to head to Kame House. We're meeting up over there as the proud students of the Turtle School."

Gohan: "Do you think Master Roshi will recognize me? It's been a little while after all…"

Ayote: "Pfft. It's not been that long. And besides, I'm pretty sure anyone would pick up that you're our kid anyway just from looks alone."

Gohan beams at that before Goku picks him up, placing him on his shoulder.

Goku: "You think we could eat before we leave? I'm starving!"

Ayote: "When aren't you starving, you black hole pit of a walking stomach… But fine. I am a bit famished myself, so we'll have a quick meal and head on to Kame House afterwards. Just make sure to grab a shower first, okay?"

The two male Saiyans nod as the trio head back to their house, a not so far walk from where Goku was fishing.

In the Gizard Wastelands, a fight between two warriors was felt in the area. Tien throws a fist his opponent, the princess of Fire Mountain, Chi-Chi, who blocks before moving her hand to grab the triclops' arm and toss him to the nearest mountain.

Chi-Chi: "Dodon Ray!"

Chi-Chi extends a finger and fires off a beam of ki from it, leading Tien to hop off the rock he was tossed at. He then lept toward Chi-Chi, slamming a knee to her gut before slamming his fists on top of her to send to the ground. Though it seemed like he was on top, he has taken quite a few too many beatings, with injuries in several places on his body; Chi-Chi likewise was pretty injured, indicating that they've been fighting for a while.

Tien: "You're doing good, Chi-Chi. But you've got to control your ki better. Without proper ki control, you'll tire yourself out too quickly."

Chi-Chi: "Got it… Guess that's why I've only been taught the Dodon Ray, huh?"

Tien: "It doesn't take a lot of ki to use and is a perfect way to test your aim and potential with ki control, yes."

Chi-Chi sighs, taking a seat on the ground, panting heavily.

Chi-Chi: "Whew… Well, this is good exercise at least. Thanks for agreeing to train with me, Tien."

Though Tien wanted to responded, something caught his attention. Then fear struck him as a huge power level was heading their way. It took Chi-Chi a moment before her eyes widened and quickly stood up. Then they heard a voice.

Voice: "So you two are the ones giving off that power level my scouter picked up?"

The duo turn and saw a figure standing on a mountain above them, arms crossed as he smirked. But what caught their attention wasn't the figure himself, but his tail.

Man: "You two aren't who I'm looking for. But if you tell me what I want to know, then I might be willing to spare your lives. Now tell me… Where is a person named Kakarot on this mud ball of a planet?"

The man only smirks more sinisterly as the duo could only glare and grit their teeth in anger and fear. Whoever this man was, he clearly meant trouble. And they only knew one person named Kakarot - their friend, Goku - from Ayote often calling him that. This and the tail confirmed their suspicions… This man… was a Saiyan.
