Last time on Dragon Ball Z: Ayote, Raditz arrived to Kame House for his fateful encounter with his long lost brother in order to try and recruit him to their cause. However, to his surprise, another Saiyan was on the planet, Ayote, who, unlike Goku, had more insight on the destruction of Planet Vegeta, having narrowly survived it herself. With the revelation of the real reason behind Planet Vegeta's downfall, the Saiyans decide to leave the Frieza Force and plan their revenge on the emperor. Raditz, meanwhile, rejects the offer to live on Earth, preparing to fight his brother and Ayote instead…

Ayote and Goku float in the air, on one side of the sky above Kame House, while Raditz floats on the other; the two sides glare at each other as they wait for one side to make a move. On the island itself, Krillin and Gohan moved quick to grab Master Roshi and Bulma and leap from the Double Sunday to save them, knowing the blast could have easily killed them.

Gohan: "Are you okay, Miss Bulma?"

Bulma: "Y-Yeah… Thanks… I didn't think he'd just shoot at us…"

Roshi: "That boy's a ruffian… But it seems like Ayote was trying to appeal to his heart…"

Krillin: "But… why? She barely knows him."

Roshi: "It's just how Ayote is… She cares for family too much to let one of her own die… I just hope that doesn't result in her own death…"

Raditz glared at his brother and sister-in-law, trying to think.

Raditz's Thoughts: "Ayote and Kakarot both share a power level of over 700… That's well over half my own… I have the advantage over them individually… But together… No, I need to separate them…"

As Raditz thinks this, Goku turns to Ayote, catching her attention.

Goku: "Hey. Do you mind sitting this one out, Ayote?"

Ayote: "Huh?"

Goku: "I know this is going to sound selfish… but I want to fight him one on one. If we both fight him, it won't be fair, will it?"

Ayote: "I suppose… But is this really the time for a fair fight?"

Goku smirks before turning his attention to Raditz.

Goku: "Trust me. I got this."

Ayote: "...Ugh… Fine. But if you are about to die, don't think I'm afraid to jump in."

Raditz was mentally elated to see this; Kakarot was just giving him a free pass to kill him. Of course separating him from Ayote long enough to do the deed was going to be a task by itself, but with Ayote sitting on the sidelines, this was his best chance. Goku stretches, cracking his knuckles as Ayote slowly shifts away from the Saiyan brothers.

Goku: "Raditz. If you don't mind, I say we take our battle away from Kame House, to one of those islands."

Raditz: "Heh. Worried over your friends? Fine. It'll still be your grave."

The two fly off, with Ayote following behind with her arms crossed. Below, at Kame House, Gohan watches as his parents and uncle fly off, gritting his teeth.

Krillin: "Looks like Goku took that brute to another island…"

Bulma: "You think those two will win?"

Roshi: "Considering how much they train. Though that long haired fellow might prove mighty tough…"

Gohan: "Nimbus!"

As the older group had their back turned, they heard Gohan's call to the Flying Nimbus, then a yellow streak as Gohan flies after his parents using his dad's trademark cloud, much to everyone's fear.

Roshi: "Wait! Gohan! Where are you going, you fool!?"

Krillin: "Damn it! Bulma, we have to go after him!"

Bulma: "Wha!? I-I get trying to save Gohan, but do I have to go to the front lines!? I'd rather not die; and besides, you two have died once already!"

Krillin pauses, then realizes that he can't die again due to the limitations of Shenron. And this same logic applies to Roshi as well, which causes them to look back in the direction where they saw Gohan fly.

Goku and Ayote land on an island a ways away from Kame Island, with Raditz soon joining them. The youngest Saiyan steps up to the plate as Ayote sits on a nearby rock, giving Goku his space but being ready to pounce if needed.

Goku: "Last chance to just stop while you're ahead, Raditz. As much as I don't like you, Ayote is right about one thing… Family should stick together and work together. We can get stronger and defeat this Vegeta guy if you just work with us."

Raditz: "You're living a fool's dream, Kakarot. Vegeta is the mightiest of all Saiyans. And the most gifted. Trying to stand up to him will only result in your death."

Goku looked to Ayote, who simply looked away, a bit saddened by Raditz's answer. It might not have been his fault; the threat of Vegeta might be bigger than they initially thought. Goku gets ready as Raditz does as well. Goku stood in a martial arts position with Raditz in more of a brawler position; there was a clear difference between discipline and just knowing how to throw a punch. Goku then lunged at Raditz, showing impressive speed as he closed the distance quickly. He then aimed a punch at Raditz's face, which the Saiyan blocked. But unlike in another time where this punch would be nothing to the mightier Saiyan, Raditz had to put in effort to make sure the punch was truly blocked with his right hand.

Raditz: "Sorry, Kakarot. But you should have joined me instead while you had the chance!"

Raditz pulls in Goku's arm and slams his other elbow at the joint. Goku was barely able to tense up his muscles to block the hit, but this caused a major strain as he backs off immediately. The vibrations felt in his nerves told him that, had he not tensed up, his bone would've broken right away.

Raditz: "Heh. Don't think I'm pulling any punches just because you're my brother! Only the strong survive while the weak die!"

Raditz then reels back an open palm, smirking as he charges energy. Then with a toss of that energy, Goku is hit by some kind of energy pulse that stuns his body.

Goku: "Gh…!? M-My body…!"

With his target stunned, the eldest Saiyan rushes at Goku, slamming a knee to his brother's gut before readying a sledgehammer and slamming Goku to the ground. Raditz charges up energy his open palm again, ready to end the fight right there.

Raditz: "Now die!"

As Raditz prepared to launch the attack, Ayote quickly lunges in and slams an elbow onto Raditz's face, causing him to spit out blood and lose his energy charge. Goku takes the opportunity to then slam a back kick to his older brother's stomach, knocking him off his feet as Goku stood back up.

Ayote: "So… Think you can handle him on your own, Kakarot? Or did older brother Raditz finally knock some sense into you?"

Goku: "...Okay, you're calling me Kakarot, so you're very angry… Fine. We take him down together."

Raditz growls as he stands back up, rubbing the blood off his face as he glares at Ayote. He had one shot, but he gloated too soon before he could finish his opponent off. There was no avoiding it now; he had to fight both Goku and Ayote together. Both husband and wife got into mirroring stances, showing near perfect synergy as they controlled their breathing. They then lunged at Raditz, running up to him before Ayote aimed an uppercut towards Raditz's gut. The older Saiyan blocked with his palm, but Goku then appeared above him to slam a kick behind Raditz's head. As the older Saiyan is knocked forward, Ayote moves to slam an upward kick, sending Raditz into the air, with Goku following up with an elbow to the back, cracking Raditz's armor in the process. Raditz lets out a yell before spinning to kick Goku, but the younger Saiyan blocks the attack.

Raditz: "Grr… How is it that I'm being pushed!? You two have a power level of only above 700, yet…"

Goku: "You wouldn't understand it. Or maybe you can't process the fact that there's more to training than mere numbers!"

Goku grabs Raditz by the leg and starts to spin him around, tossing him at the waiting Ayote, who grabs the older Saiyan by his chest and seismic tosses him to the ground, causing a big crater to form from the impact as dust flies in the air. Goku lands beside Ayote as both Saiyans get into a battle stance. Raditz manages to collect himself as he stands back, badly bruised, his armor in critical condition, and bleeding in a few places.

Raditz: "How…? They aren't supposed to be this strong… My scouter… I-It has to be broken… They can't just have 700…"

Ayote: "I guess what Goku said went in one ear and out the other then? You're seriously relying on that old thing?"

Raditz: "Sh-Shut up! I am Raditz… A mighty Saiyan warrior! A proud warrior! I will not be humiliated by a couple of low class trash!"

Ayote: "...Isn't that what you are too, Raditz?"

This causes Raditz to snap, letting out a yell as he starts to charge up his energy, anger outright consuming him as veins appeared on his head. But as his aura flared up from his rage, his scouter, though slightly damaged from being headfirst into the ground by Ayote, pinged alive to alert Raditz of another power level nearby. He makes some subtle movements before spotting Gohan hiding in a brush. Seeing this, he gets an idea, calming down a bit. He then raises both of his hands in surrender.

Raditz: "Fine. You win. You two are far stronger than I expected."

Ayote: "I'll offer it for the last time, Raditz… You could be strong with us. We can overlook this entire conversation if you'd just to accept."

Raditz looks at Ayote, once again offering her hand.

Raditz: "No. I don't think I could truly change my ways, Ayote. So instead… I'll just leave."

Raditz pulls out his remote and presses a button, calling his space pod, which lands next to him, much softer than the initial landing. As the cockpit opens, Ayote and Goku started to have that bad feeling creep up on them.

Raditz: "Though… I could also do this!"

Raditz presses another button on his remote, activating a holographic projector. Raditz looks away as an image of the moon is shown in the sky.

Ayote: "A moon… projection…?"

Ayote stares at the moon, with no eyewear to protect her eyes. Her body began to pulsate as her body grew. Goku watched in horror as he immediately ran a fair distance as Ayote grew. Thanks to Kami's ability to create clothes, Ayote's was made using material of her old Saiyan fabric under her old armor, allowing her clothes to grow with her. Raditz was a bit surprised by this, but he laughed as he kept his eyes away from the moon projection.

Goku: "A-Ayote!?"

Ayote: "Rrrgh… I'm alright, Goku…"

Ayote says, her voice loud and deep to match the much bigger form.

Ayote: "I managed to train this form long ago with Master Roshi. It's not the easiest to control, but-"

A sudden giant monkey fist slams itself against Ayote's face, sending her off her feet and slamming to another part of the island. A loud roar is heard as another Great Ape starts beating its chest.

Goku: "A… Another Great Ape!? But who!? Where!?"

Raditz: "I guess you don't recognize your son, Kakarot? How shameful."

Raditz smiles as he turns off the projector, smiling as he stared down his younger brother.

Goku: "My son…? Gohan!?"

It then occurred to Goku that Gohan still had his tail, much to his horror. And unlike Ayote, Gohan had no training in this form; he couldn't recognize friend from foe. Gohan glares at the two Saiyans before firing off a massive mouth beam, sweeping it across the island and destroying Raditz's space pod in the process; the two Saiyan jump to avoid the blast as Ayote tackles Gohan to the ground.

Ayote: "Goku! Handle Raditz while I get our son under control!"

Goku was still trying to register what was going on; his son not only came here despite the danger, but also transformed, forcing Ayote to fight him. This left Goku on his own as his older brother cackled evilly. The situation, though it was in his and Ayote's favor, now went from bad to worse…
