"...Are you sure he'll be alright? Sending a Red-Class Saibaman at someone with such a low power level is tantamount to signing a death warrant, especially with banning Okram from helping, you know." Taba spoke with a worried tone as she focused on the leader of Delta. The man didn't seem to pay her any heed as he watched what she was positive was a bloodbath in the pit with his scouter active. Waiting for a response, Taba's tail started to flick around signifying the agitation that was mounting with every passing moment of waiting. When she opened her mouth to give him a piece of her mind, he spoke once more.

"You remember Kora, right?" Were the only words he spoke causing her to do a double-take, her tail stopping its movements as she processed a name she hadn't heard in a long time.

"Kora? What does she have to do wi-" She started to ask before being interrupted. Interrupted by the scouter going off and she saw the power level shown on it. It wasn't dropping significantly like it should, no, it was rising steadily. Almost as if-

"You mean he's her child?" She gasped, shock covering her face as her eyes widened and her body went rigid. The nod she got only solidified her shock as he smirked and focused on the fight both with his eyes and the scouter he had on.

They stood in silence for a few minutes as the sounds of vicious combat occurred in the pit below and the sounds of the scouter's beeping. Taba's shock prevented her from saying anything while the Warrior kept his attention on the fight, paying the scientist no mind. After a few minutes, the sounds of fighting ended and the scouter stopped beeping with a final beep signifying the power level had stopped rising.

The Warrior smirked before he went through the recorded levels. His smirk widened as he stopped on a specific level and pulled off his scouter before tossing the device to Taba, who flinched and struggled to catch it before looking at the man with a look of confusion. Which had grown at the smirk given to her when he turned to face Taba.

"Take the current reading on the scouter and replace the high power level scanned with it while marking him as a suppressor. When that's done, wipe the scouter's memory." He said, no, he ordered before turning to leave as Taba gave a shaky nod, her confusion mounting at the odd command.

"Why replace his high power level? It can't have increased by that much... Right?" She confusedly thought as she put the scouter on and focused on the shown power level. It was an improvement, yes significantly so. But why does she have to delete the lo-

She saw why. The highest recently recorded power level gave her pause as her blood ran cold and her face no doubt rapidly paled.

#8's thoughts were a whirlwind as she paced back and forth in front of the tank. She didn't understand it, well, she didn't understand a lot of things, she hadn't hit her Prime yet after all! Regardless of her age, she shook her head. What was up with the new guy, Sora? He showed up, not all that strong, her estimate put him at between 500 and 800, decent for a noncombatant based on what she's seen, but pathetically weak for a warrior. In fact, she was sure he was the weakest of the group.

"But then... He did beat a Red." The thought entered her mind. Saibamen came in a series of colors with Red being the strongest of the types grown on their home world. Which begs the question, multiple questions in fact.

First: Why was he allowed to enter the Performance Tests?

Second: How did he defeat a Red?

Third: Why was a Red paired with him in the first place?

Fourth: How. Did. His. Power. Grow. As. He. Fought.

Sighing away her building irritation, she stopped pacing before turning to the others in the medical room with her. #34 was lazing about on a recovery bed like the lazy bum he was, but she could tell that he was intrigued due to how his eyes would flicker from the ceiling to the tank now and then. His natural hairstyle which looked like a permanent bedhead had always irritated her because it matched his personality, to a scary degree. Even though he was lazy, his physical strength was something else, by her guesstimation he potentially could hit as hard as a Red.

Turning her gaze to the other, her eye ticked slightly as she saw #16 tossing a ball at the wall and letting it hit him on the rebound before repeating. While #34 was a physical powerhouse, #16 was the tank, able to take attacks that could break the bones of others with similar power. As seen in his brawl with the Blue, the second strongest type on their homeworld. While #34 had a bed head, #16 had a luscious flowing mane of black hair that stopped at his knees. She wasn't jealous that his hair was better than hers, nope, not at all.

"How much longer will he take?" #16 asked, grunting slightly as the ball hit him in his throwing shoulder. She shook her head at his almost carelessness before walking to the tank and checking the approximate time.

"Another hour or so…" She mumbled, getting a scoff from #16 as #34 grunted and turned his head in our direction.

"He was pretty banged up, ya know, with fighting a Red on his first day and all." He spoke as her eyebrow ticked again, she swore that these two would cause her eyebrow to stick one of these days.

"I don't understand why they put him against one in the first place. It doesn't make sense." She responded, #34 nodded while #16 grunted as he got hit again before speaking.

"That guy with the Delta symbol. I've never seen him here before, so whatever the reason, odds are he's behind it." Was what he said before throwing the ball again. #8 could only nod, before yesterday they only dealt with Okram.

"Not just him, but also the scientist. We haven't seen one of those here in a while, not since the testing originally started last year." #34 spoke up, sitting up to look at us fully. I had to do a double take, she'd never seen him with such a serious face before.

"Then the better question is…" I began as the three of us nodded to each other.

"What's going on?" We continued together.

When I came to, I felt that I was floating. Weightless in some kind of goo that I felt actively numb whatever burning pain I had left from that Red Saiba-

My eyes snapped open in a panic, my body trying to move as if ready to continue the fight. I kept looking around, unaware of my surroundings, or even what I was floating in. All I could think was to fight. Then a wave of calm came over me as I had instinctually activated {Gamer's Mind} to aid in the mental recovery. Closing my eyes again, I took a deep breath from the air being pumped into my mouth from the mask I wore, I counted down from ten.

Nine.

Eight.

Seven.

Six.

Five. I turned off {Gamer's Mind}

Four.

Three.

Two.

One. I exhaled and opened my eyes.

'And the first thing I see is the Nameless girl... Wait, didn't she have a number assigned to her too?' Were my thoughts as I saw Nameless pacing around what was presumably my equivalent to a hospital room. Looking around, I could tell that I was in a pod similar to what Vegeta was in after his fight on Earth. Sighing as I felt that my healing would take a little longer I looked at the notifications that had appeared in the corner of my vision and pulled them up from most important to least.

'WHAT THE FUCK GAME! You expected me to not only walk away from that fight but also to not almost die?!' I seethed as I looked over the BS Quest, before giving another sigh and going over the next stuff.

'Well. I don't really remember the actions that caused the stat increases, but nice I guess. Let's just hope that this doesn't become a regular occurrence… I just jinxed it didn't I?' I inaudibly groaned as I opened my {Status} and my eyes bulged at the increases.

"The fuck!? Is this what a Legendary is like? I knew Broly and Frieza were cheating somehow!" I internally shouted as I jostled around within the pod somewhat. Unfortunately, my movement was seen by the girl walking around outside. I blinked when she was suddenly in front of the tank, messing with the control panel.

'How the- Just how strong is she?!' I questioned in my thoughts as the tank started to drain, I winced slightly as the scars met air for the first time since closing. When the tank was drained, I took the mask off and took a deep breath of fresh air as the tank door opened. My eyes met hers again as she offered a hand to me with a smile. Taking it I gave a smile to her as she hefted me out of the tank.

"Thanks," I spoke, my voice slightly hoarse from underuse as I looked around and saw that we weren't the only ones in the room, #16 and #34 were also here. #34 was sitting up on a bed with his legs hanging over the edge and hands resting on said edge. Meanwhile, #16 was on the other side of the tank, his hand holding what looked to be a ball made of metal, I could see some bruises forming on his body, presumably from the ball hitting him. Was he training while waiting? Why were they all waiting for me anyway? We've known each other for a day at best.

"Mornin'," I spoke, yawning slightly as I stretched my arms above my head. Apparently, that was both the wrong and right thing to say as the #34 started to laugh uproariously and Nameless' eyebrow started to tick in irritation.

"Damnit, why'd he have to be another one." I heard her mutter under her breath as I tilted my head in confusion as I saw #16 walk towards us from the side.

"Oh come on, #8, no need to be irritated. He's been out for almost two cycles. Of course, he'd be tired." He said as I saw the corner of his mouth quirk up in amusement, probably because of her irritat- wait. How long did he say?

"How long was I out?" I asked, hoping that what I had heard was wrong while watching #16 for any signs of deceit, before noticing that he had long black hair that looked famili- God damnit, he's Raditz, isn't he?

"Yeesh, don't tell me you suffered permanent brain damage from that Red too. He said two cycles." #34 piped up from the bed on the other side, interrupting my thought process… again. Nodding, I looked between the three as confusion covered my features.

"Sooo… why are all three of you here anyways? I've only spoken with her before. Not you guys." I asked, nodding to Nameless, who crossed her arms while looking at me before nodding to the other two. The boys of the trio look at each other before shrugging and looking at me.

"I was curious/Why not?" #34 and #16 responded simultaneously causing me to shake my head as they both cracked grins. Looking at Nameless, I saw that her eyebrow started to tick again. She should probably get that checked with how often that happens...

"Are they... Usually like this?" I asked her, causing #34 and #16 to start chuckling and laughing respectively while Nameless sighed explosively as her arms went slack at her sides.

"Unfortunately." She muttered, causing them to laugh harder. I winced before patting her shoulder consolingly. She gave me a grateful nod as we waited for the laughing to die down.

"Okay then… My name's Sora, what should I call you guys?" I said after a few moments of silence, only to be met with even more silence as #16 and #34 stared at me with widened eyes in baffled astonishment.

"#34 / #16," The two guys said together while Nameless stayed silent, her brown eyes seeming to stare into my very soul as if to judge me. I shook my head to distract myself from Nameless' gaze and addressed the others.

"No no, your name, you have to have been given a name, right? I don't know, nor do I care, about the whole number thing but I'd rather call you by something with more meaning than a number." I said, clarifying what I wanted to know, and hoping that they confirmed my theories to give me a rough estimate on the timeline. The boys looked at each other, unsure to give the information apparently.

"Come on, we have to return to the room now that you're able to walk." Nameless said as she turned to the door, giving a sigh at failing to get more names, I followed her to the door when I heard it.

"Turles. My name's Turles." The Goku-look-alike spoke up first, confirming that theory when #16 spoke up as well.

"Raditz." #16 spoke curtly, nodding stiffly towards me when I turned to them. I nodded thankfully to both of them, giving a smile as we left the medical room.

We walked down the hallway to our room in comfortable silence—the four of us were in a loose grouping similar to a triangle. Raditz and Turles were at my sides while we followed Nameless. When we reached the room, we were greeted by the sight of the warrior from the previous day waiting by the door with the other ankle-biters from our group.

"Okram? I thought we had the day off..?" I heard Nameless mutter with what seemed to be disbelief. I tilted my head as I saw the question marks above Okram's head be replaced with his name. I tilted my head as we approached the group.

"Good to see you lot finally get here, we're going to continue the Performance Analysis," Okram spoke as his gaze went over the four of us. Motioning for us to join the other three, he started to walk off in the opposite direction we had gone in for the previous test.

The two groups merged, forming two disorganized lines as we followed Okram down the halls. As we walked, my eyes wandered to the minimap in the bottom corner of my vision. I watched as the map was filled in as we walked. Its appearance was like that of a drawing, oddly enough. I also noticed that every person within my vision was represented by dots. The Saiyans I hadn't interacted with yet were represented with pure purple dots. On the other hand, the Saiyans I had interacted with were all purple dots each filled at varying levels of blue.

"You're doing it again…" I heard Nameless mutter next to me, causing me to look at her from the corner of my eye. Had I been that obvious? I need to try and be a bit more discreet since the last thing I need is others being suspicious of me especially since I'm an Anomaly.

"Doing what?" I hummed in fake confusion as I looked fully at her. All I got was narrowed eyes before she looked back ahead.

After a few minutes of travel, we reached a room akin to a school gymnasium back in my previous life. It was a large rectangle divided into sections. The largest was a wide open area that easily took up at least half of the room. The second largest was a circle in the ground, presumably for spars. With the final area having… targets? If they could be called that at least. There were multiple pillars of stone jutting from the ground with some having armor while others had nothing.

Like last time, we stood in a line in front of Okram as he crossed his arms and observed us with a stern gaze.

"Ignoring the shitshow that happened the other day, we're here to continue the Performance Analysis of you lot. First, you will be running laps in the open field behind me. Second, you will demonstrate your Energy Manipulation. And finally, those capable of attacking with energy will be doing an accuracy test." He gruffly spoke, his words blunt with an edge that felt like it could cut steel. As the newer people stayed there, me included, I noticed Nameless was already a quarter of the way to the wall opposite of us and reaching that halfway mark fast. Then I noticed Turles and Raditz were running too. The rest of us stayed there for a few moments as Okram stood there in silence before speaking up again.

"Well? What are you waiting for maggots? " He spoke, sneering the word maggot to us as we startled and joined the run.

I gasped as I lay there on the stone floor, we had run ourselves exhausted until Okram called for us to stop. I shifted my head from my position on the ground and saw the "big three", as I'd taken to mentally calling them, standing there, looking none the worse for wear. As I looked, I saw them all briefly take looks in my direction. I couldn't look weak to them. I needed to look stronger than the rest of the newer infiltration babies.

I flipped over and splayed my hands on the ground and I started to push myself up. I felt my arms buckle, it didn't take long for my buckling arms to start to collapse under me. But I refused to give up. I reinforced my arms with my Ki. I made myself stand up. I cannot, I could not look weak in this Culture. Especially in front of the three who seemed to have even a modicum of concern for me when I was healing.

Getting up, I stumbled my way to the line of three in front of Okram. I felt myself start to fall only to catch myself with a reinforced leg before continuing on. Reaching the group, I struggled to stand upright next to the others, but I stayed standing. I barely noticed Okram's nod of approval in my direction before he led us to the sparring circle, not even giving a glance to the other three who were struggling to recover their stamina enough to join. I stumbled my way after them before I started to fall as my legs finally gave out.

Only I didn't hit the ground. I was stopped by a pressure under my arm. Looking out of the corner of my eye, I barely met the gaze of Turles, who gave me a smirk as he helped me stumble to the ring.

"Can't let you collapse after all that effort, now can I?" He said, his smirk widening as we stumbled there, most of my weight on his shoulder as I took the time to recover to the best of my abilities.

When we reached the circle, me and Turles separated as we stood next to each other as Okram stopped in the middle of the circle and turned to us. Observing us, I saw Okram smirk at us as two blue spheres formed from his hands and floated over his hands before he started to float above us.

"Now, you'll show me your level of energy control. Show me the most precise control each of you have."

I watched as the other three created distance between each other and started forming various shapes. Nameless created a pyramid out of pure Ki as she aimed it at one of the armored targets and launched it forward. It hit the target and made a screech as it started to drill into the armor before it dissipated. I winced from the sound as I heard Nameless mutter under her breath.

Next up was Turles, who created an empty circle of ki that seemed to fluctuate erratically as he aimed it at another target and I watched as he pushed it. The circle flew forward and hit the target, searing its shape into the armor, but not piercing.

Finally, I watched Raditz hold out his right hand as he closed his eyes in concentration. My gaze was mesmerized as purple energy materialized above his hand, my astonishment grew as he gripped his wrist with his left hand, and the ki formed into a ball that briefly sparked. His eyes snapped open as his hand reared back and he threw his attack forward.

He missed the target... His attack flew past the target and smashed into the wall behind it, creating a crater as big as the pod I had landed in.

I then watched as all three started to float, though I noticed Raditz and Turles, the former more so, struggled slightly but still managed while Nameless seemed to be fine as if it came naturally to her.

Okram nodded to them with what appeared to be pride before he turned to me and motioned to the target. I gulped with brief anxiety before I closed my eyes centering myself and searched. After a minute, I found the warm pool within and guided it to my outstretched hand. I felt the warmth leave my skin, but still felt it as I opened my eyes and saw the blue ki in the form of an oval. I focused and struggled to get it into the shape of a ball. After another minute, I managed to condense it into a blue sphere and I turned my gaze at the targets and fired.

I didn't miss, I think. My attack clipped the target in the side before continuing into the wall next to where Raditz' had hit. I winced briefly as I watched with dizziness as my attack only left a mark on the wall. My gaze was now looking at the ceiling, had I fallen?
