Elsa froze in the mouth of the doorway. Seeing Jack's staff in Jamie's hands as she was met with the boy's tearful gaze. Glancing at Pippa and the others, the Snow Queen was met with the same look of sadness and dismay. The Snow Queen glanced back at Jamie in awe. How the staff was here in the palace was a question she wondered for herself. But it was clear to her that they knew what had happened to Jack.
"How did...?" she asked, squinting her eyes to them.
"It was Pitch..." Pippa insisted.
Elsa turned to her.
"What?" Elsa asked, curiously.
"He told us... about what happened to..." Claude said.
It was the mention of Pitch that caused Elsa to turned to her in awe. Only for whatever shock she might have felt to be replaced with a sudden feeling of anger. Having suspected Pitch was responsible for this
Jamie sobbed.
"Is it... true? Is Jack really...?" Jamie asked.
Pippa and the others each turned to her with a look of desperation. As if hoping that she would tell them that it wasn't ss. Elsa narrowed her eyes. She could not find it in her heart to lie to them.
"I'm sorry, Jamie..." Elsa said.
Elsa narrowed her head in guilt at the words she had spoken. The ones that dashed the hopes of Jamie and his friends. Leaving them with the grave realization that Jack was really gone. Pippa and the others turned away in dismay. Jamie narrowed his eyes, turning back to face forward, closing his eyes his tears continued to seep.
Elsa raised her glance up at Jamie, seeing him facing away, sobbing. She walked over to him, kneeling down next to him. Wrapping her arms around Jamie, she then brought him into a close to her. Holding him in a gentle little hug as he sobbed.
"He died trying to save us, Jamie... Trying to save me." Elsa insisted to him.
Jamie only sobbed, wiping away the tears from his eyes. He then glanced up to her.
"He... did?" Jamie asked, curiously.
Elsa nodded her head to him.
"Yes, he did. If it wasn't for him, I never would have escaped Pitch." Elsa insisted to him.
"He saved me. And he saved the other Guardians as well."
Elsa's words had certainly lifted Jamie's spirit quite a bit. Narrowing his eyes, glancing back down at his staff as he thought of what she said. It did seem like something that Jack would have done. What a true Guardian would have done.
"I wish there was something that I could have done something for her then... But I can now." Elsa proclaimed to them.
"And I need your help to do it."
Elsa glanced back at Pippa and the others.
"All of you." She proclaimed to them.
The five friends each shared a curious glance to each other.
"But what can we do?" Pippa asked, turning back to her.
"Yeah?" Monty asked, curiously.
Elsa glanced back down at Jamie. Only to be met with the same curious glance that Pippa and the other children. Though at the same time, she could see a small glimpse of hope in his eyes. A look that was shared by her sister Anna. Seemingly eager to know just how it was that he could help Jack. And as she looked back up at his friends, she could see it in their eyes as well.
Elsa looked back down at Jamie before shifting her glance down at Jack's staff.
"May I...?" She asked, reaching down her hand.
Jamie first glanced down at the staff before handing it to her. Elsa took hold of Jack's staff as stood up from over the floor. Taking a moment to gaze upon the only thing she had left of the man she loved. Remembering the words of her sister and what they needed to do.
"We do the only thing we can do. The Next right thing." Elsa proclaimed to them.
"I... I don't know if I can." Jamie insisted to her.
The Snow Queen looked forward as she walked to the doorway to the balcony. She then glanced back at them.
"Then let me show you how." Elsa insisted to them.
Elsa then tuned and walked toward the entrance to the balcony.
Despite the strong currents of the storm, Elsa came to the stand over the balcony. Paying little mind to the storm itself, hardly feeling it's freezing cold touch. Rather she stared ahead in the direction of Burgess itself. Concealed by the mist of the storm itself. Knowing there was only one way to calm the storm.
Elsa the came to hold Jack's staff before herself, taking hold with both her icy cold hands. She then paused, thinking back to all the moments she shared with Jack. Remembering the love that they both shared. Though it the moment they shared at the pond that she would treasure deep in her heart. Where she heard him say those three words she would never forget.
"I love you, El."
Her only regret was that she did not tell him the same. She narrowed here head, frowning. Closing her eyes as her tears seeped down the sides of her face. Only to turn forward with a smile over her face.
"I love you, Too, Jack." Elsa said.
It was at that moment, she felt the harsh winds of the storm slowly die down to a soft winter breeze. She paused there, shifting her glance upwards. The snow that once fell rapidly from above due to the harsh currents, now drifted softly down. Elsa smiled, turning back to face the entrance of the balcony. She then glanced down and saw Jamie and her friends emerge from the open entrance, staring up in awe.
What had been a massive storm had suddenly turned into a calm snowfall.
"How did you...?" Pippa asked, curiously.
Elsa simply smiled, glancing back to Jack's staff.
"Let's just say... I got a bit of help." Elsa insisted to them.
Jamie and his friends each shared a curious glance to one one another. The Snow Queen then shifted her gaze back toward Burgess in the distance. The Fog of the storm having cleared away to reveal the town's lights shining in the distance. For so long she had question why the Man in the Moon had said to come here.
Now she knew. As well as what needed to do.
A little girl laying in her bed was suddenly awaken to a small tapping sound over her bedroom. Opening her eyes, she leaned up from her bed, glancing to the window off to her left. It was there she saw the storm outside had been replaced with a soft snow fall. She quickly leaped out of her bed, coming up to the window where she lifted it open, peering outside at the snow fall.
When suddenly she heard a small squeaking sound from below. She glanced down, where she saw a small snow man standing below her window over the arching roof top. Where she let out a small gasp. Though not out of shock. but rather she seemed rather out of awe and amazement.
The Snowie trotted up to the Little girl, where he leaped up to her. The little girl caught the snowie in her hands.
"Where did you come from?" She asked.
The Snowie simply turned and gestured out to the backyard. Upon glanced down, the girl gave a gasp of amazement. The Snowie the leaped down from her hands, before sliding down into backyard. The Girl in turned went back into her room.
"Kelly, Kelly, wake up!" She said.
Moment later, the two sisters came rushing outside with her sister. It was there, they found more of the small snowmen. As well as swirl of what looked by the icy magic of Jack where a small snow man took shape. The girls gasp excitedly, rushing forward to play with them.
It was at that moment, the children from the house next door came running outside into their own.
Unannounced to the children, Elsa was riding Nokk along the other side of the fence. The Snow queen spreading her icy magic to the children as she went with the help of Jack's staff. All the while, Jamie and His friends were riding in what appeared to be a sled made of ice.
"Wooohooo!" Jamie exclaimed, standing up in the sled.
"This is Awesome!" Claude insisted to them.
Elsa shifted her glance back at them, smiling. Shifting her glance down at Baby Tooth and Bruni, who stood over her shoulder.
"Everyone loves the sleigh!" she joked to them.
Passing by a yard, they were spotted by only of the kids, who looked on in awe at the sight. Though none if them could see Elsa riding over the back of the ice horse.
Not that Elsa minded really. It was not her desire to be believed in. Rather for them to keep believing in Jack.
As they came to an opening between houses, Elsa turned node and rod onto the street. The Snow Queen twirled Jack's staff as she sent a serge of her icy magic toward one of the houses. Over the snow covered front lawn, a snowman resembling Olaf formed. The Children inside spotted it from the living room window, where they came running out from the front door.
Elsa gave a small chuckle back at them. Baby Tooth came up and landed atop her shoulder, uttering a small squeak at the Snow Queen. As if she was trying to tell her something. Though despite not understanding the small fairy, Elsa knew what what it was she was trying to tell her. Burgess was not enough. Remembering there were other places in the world that was in need of Jack's snowy touch.
Elsa rode into the central park, where she came up before the statue. The water spirt detached from the sleigh, which slid to a stop behind them. Jamie stood up as she watched Elsa and Nokk come to stand before the statue.
Nokk then came to stand atop his hind legs. Elsa stood up over his back as she raised Jack's staff into the air. Several surges of the Snow Queen shot up into the air, disappearing into the clouds above.
"Wow! Jamie exclaimed in awe.
Watching from a distance, Pitch witnessed the surges of Ice Magic shooting up into the air.
"What... No!" He scowled in anger at the sight.
There was a bright surge of light shot above a small town in Siberia. Catching the attention of many of the people below. Most notably the children. Before then went off in a burst of snow which began to fall upon the town and beyond. Countless flakes of snow began to drift down from above. The children below all gasped in excitement, knowing it could only be the doing of Jack.
There then game several surges of ice magic came shooting down from above. Creating snowmen and small mountains of snowballs in a small clearing. The children all came running into the clearing, where they began to to play.
The darken parts over the Ice cover Globe, where the children had stop believing, lit up with their Lights once again. Standing over the balcony, two yetis took notice of the returning lights over the globe. The two uttered a gasp of awe and amazement. Turning back over at North and Tooth as they muffled, pointing up the globe at the returning lights.
North turned back to them.
"What is it?" North asked, as he and Tooth came walking up.
Tooth shifted her gaze up at the Globe above. She then gasped, flying up to the globe.
"North, look!" Tooth said, pointing up at the globe.
North was in awe. Stepping forward, he peered up at the ice covered globe. Most notably, the country of Siberia where the lights had gone out. Only to see that they had returned and shined brighter then before. He couldn't believe his own eyes.
"The lights! They're back!" Tooth proclaimed to him.
"Can it be?" North said, squinting his eyes
"Whatever Bunny and Sandy are doing, it's working." Tooth said, flying down to North.
North stepped forward to the control panel, peering up the globe, curiously. He then shook his head.
"No, this was not Bunny or Sandy!" North insisted to them.
Tooth paused
"What... But then who?" She asked.
North didn't answer her as he stared up at the globe for a moments time. Not just any could make the children believe the way Jack does. Certainly not Sandy or Bunny. That was except for one. North's suspicions only proved to be so as he glanced over to Burgess. To the last Light itself. Like the lights in Siberia, it shined just as bright as the children there.
North shifted his glance back at the Yeti's.
"Ready the sleigh!" He insisted to them.
Elsa continued to gaze up at the falling snow above. Her gaze wondering yet hopeful at what she had done. If she had truly done the next right thing. She then narrowed her gaze, looking down at Jamie and his friends, who climbed out of the sleigh. Gazing up at the sky above before turning back to her.
"Do you think it worked? Did we do it?" Jamie asked, curiously.
Elsa looked up at the drifting snow above. Seemly unsure herself if they had. Yet as she did, the Snow queen felt a sudden essence coming from Jack's staff. She glanced down at the staff, curiously, holding in her hands. The essence emitting from the staff felt so strong. Yet at the same time, it was one she had felt before when she was with...
Jack!
Elsa, smiled, feeling her heart soar in her chest.
"Yes..." Elsa insisted to them.
She then turned back to Jamie and the other children, nodding her head.
"We did." She proclaimed to them.
Jamie smiled up at her. Turning back to Pippa, Claude, Caleb, Monty and Cupcake, who erupted in a cheer of joy and laughter. Leaping up and down as they did. Elsa's eyes shifted back down at Jack's staff, smiling.
Though the moment was not to last.
Elsa suddenly heard a horses neigh from behind. She glanced up from the staff, turning back to the street behind her. It was there she was met with Pitch's Nightmares emerge from the shadows. Slowly trotting toward them. Elsa and Nokk turned to face them.
From over her shoulder, Baby Tooth gave a small shrill of fear, pointing over to their left. Elsa then turned, where she saw More Nightmares emerging from above and galloping down to them. Jamie and the others turned back the way they came. Only to met with more of the Nightmares from behind.
Elsa turned back as she glanced around the town square. Finding the Nightmares surrounded them from all around.
"Oh No!" She said.
"Elsa!"
The Snow Queen turned back to Jamie and his friends, where she saw the Nightmares had gotten too close, surrounding them from all sides. Though despite this, Jamie came between them and his friends, holding out his arms. Showing no fear in the fear in the face of the Nightmares, who only snorted irritably at him. The Nightmare then attempted charge at the children, who only continued to stand before them undeterred.
"Jamie!" Elsa called out to him.
The Nightmare suddenly disbursed by a blast of Elsa's ice magic. The Snow Queen and Nokk came in front of Jamie and his friends, swiping Jack's staff as she blasted the Nightmares with her ice magic. Her surges of magic appearing to be must stronger then before. Swiping the staff, she sent a wave of ice magic at the black sanded horses, which caused them to dissipate.
The Snow Queen paused for a moment, glancing down at the staff in awe and amazement.
"My powers have never been that Strong before." Elsa said, glancing down at Baby Tooth and Bruni.
Baby Tooth only smiled to her, nodding her head. Only for then hear another horses neigh. Glancing up to see more Nightmares appeared around them. Nokk uttered a neigh as he stood up over his hind legs. Appearing frightened by the presence of the Nightmares. Elsa reached down her hand, petting the side of his neck.
"Don't be afraid, Nokk." She said.
"Why, isn't this just precious!"
Elsa paused. Knowing that very voice. A voice that caused her to glare as she turned, glancing up to see Pitch standing above over a cloud of black sand. Pitch stared down upon the group, his gaze mainly directed to Elsa. Seeing her holding Jack's staff as if she trying to take his place.
"I must say, Elsa, I am quite disappointed. You of all people should learn too give up!" Pitch proclaimed to her.
Elsa turned back to face Pitch as she stared, angrily.
"And yet here you are, thinking you can take his place. Rallying the children with the false hope they can have fun again?" He continued to day, shifting his glance to Jamie.
"And you... Jamie. I should have taken care of you and you little friends a long time ago!"
Jamie stared back at the Boogeyman, squinting his eyes sternly to him. Only for Elsa and Nokk to step up and stand between Pitch and the children.
"I won't let you hurt them!" Elsa proclaimed to Pitch.
Pitch only laughed at the Snow Queen.
"You?! You think you can protect them?!" Pitch said, gesturing down to his Nightmares.
"Look at what you've already created! All this fear you've created!"
Elsa narrowed her gaze, glancing around Nightmares that surrounded her, Jamie and his friends. The Nightmares that had no doubt been created by her fear. Which only gave truth to Pitch's words.
"All of this was your doing! And you think you can stop it all on your own?" Pitch proclaimed to them.
Elsa gazed back up at Pitch. Despite her angered scowl at the Boogeyman's taunts, there lied a hint of contempt and guilt behind it. Knowing she was the one to blame for all of this. For all the fear that she had created.
Elsa suddenly felt the small touch of a hand atop hers. She then paused, turning down to see Jamie, standing next to her and Nokk, holding onto her hand. His gaze without any hint of fear. Rather looking up at her, reassuringly. The same way Anna looked at her in the past. Even now, she felt as if her sister was with her now.
"They are just bad dreams, Elsa." Jamie insisted to her.
Elsa felt her heart mend at Jamie's words. For they sounded much like ones that Anna would say. She then smiled, nodding her head at Jamie, turning forward to face Pitch.
"I'm not alone, Pitch." Elsa proclaimed, shaking his head.
As if on que, Pippa, Monty, Caleb, Claude and Cupcake came up next to the snow Queen. Standing up for Elsa like they did before for the Guardians. Which only caused Pitch to scowl, angrily. The same Children that had been responsible for defeating him before in the past continued to try and defy him.
Though her anger scowl would soon turn to a sly grin, giving
"Well... why don't we change that?" Pitch proclaimed.
Pitch then extended his arm forward, reaching down his hand toward them. A long stream of Black sand shot down at the group, changing form into what appeared to be a shadowy hand. Elsa gasped, realizing where it was going. She then turned back to Jamie and the others.
"Look out! Elsa exclaimed to them.
But it was too late. The shadowy hand grabbed onto Jamie, gripping him tightly before pulling him up toward Pitch. Elsa gasped in awe, reaching out her hand.
"Jamie!" She and the others exclaimed.
Pitch then pulled him up over the cloud of black sand, giving him a conniving grin.
"Hello, Jamie. So Nice of you to join me." Pitch said, watching as he struggled in his grip.
"Let him Go!" Elsa demanded him.
Only to to me with Pitch's conniving grin as he turned to face her. He then chuckled to her.
"Oh, I don't think so. Besides... " Pitch proclaimed to her.
Several walls of black sand suddenly formed around the square, rising up from the earth itself. Elsa and the others glanced around at the walls as they reached high into the air, trapping them inside. They suddenly felt another quaking feeling from underfoot, where they then saw a large castle took shape at the very heart of the square itself. One that resembled Elsa's palace. Only this one appeared much darker, made from black sand.
Pitch came to stand over the balcony, staring over the courtyard with the same conniving grin.
"If we want him, Elsa... You'll have to come take him from me!" Pitch continued to taunt from high above.
