Finishing his cup of tea, Waverly let out a long sigh.

"This is nothing I can truly do anything about, is there?"

Eyes full of compassion, Millicent leaned over just enough to rest her hand on his arm.

"I fear each of us must come to terms with the inevitable in our own way. However, you already are helping them, my dearest. You don't try to hide or cover up when an agent is lost. You make sure they have a fitting memorial and their sacrifice is honored."

She paused and finished her tea.

"Perhaps there is something else."
