Chapter III: "MENMA"
? pm, Ramen Ichiraku.
Ramen Ichiraku (ラーメン一楽, Rāmen Ichiraku, literally meaning: Ramen is the Best Pleasure) is a ramen restaurant in Konohagakure.
Founded by Teuchi thirty-four years before the start of Part II, although it is quite small and has an unassuming appearance, Ramen Ichiraku has always been popular with Konoha's villagers because of Teuchi's strong commitment to taste, giving the ramen an almost artistic quality.
It is also Naruto Uzumaki's favourite dining establishment. He eats there regularly – usually stopping by between missions – and he is often joined by Iruka Umino, another frequent customer. Because Naruto has been a loyal customer for most of his life, Teuchi and his daughter, Ayame, were among the few people in Konoha not to treat Naruto with animosity during his youth – Apparently not the case here, because this universe's Naruto has never been mistreated. Together with the fact that this Naruto has never vandalized Hokage's statues, there is no reason for Iruka to eat here with Naruto. But, here they are, all four of them, eating and chatting.
"You know what ? I am done with this kid. Never pay attention, never take studying and tests seriously, but always make other uncomfortable with his weird pranks…"
"Iruka sensei, don't just omit my Sexy no Jutsu like that – "
"AAAAAA, I am trying my best to forget it, shaddup *slurp slurp*"
"Poor Iruka. Poor sensei. Life must be hard with those teenagers…" whispered Teuchi.
"Actually, only Naruto is misbehaved. Or maybe he is too misbehaved that I feel like all other kids are good children…"
"Naruto, his back looked like it is about to snap already, can you stop putting more troubles on him ?" advised Ayame.
"Um um um um…"
"Don't talk during eating, please…" said all three, in unison…
"Naruto, you cannot just keep being childlish like that forever… One day, you will have to become adult. You will have to shoulder your responsiblities and hardships, you will have to respond in kindness the expectations of your friends , teachers and family, you will have to fulfill your dreams… Speak of dreams, what is yours, Naruto ?"
"What about you, Iruka-sensei ?"
"I have already achieved mine…" Iruka saying this with a smile, while looking to the star sky. The same sky Naruto(?) has seen back then, above that celestial sea…
"To be a teacher ?"
"To see peace once again in Konohagakure…"
"…I see, dis is deep ~ How about you, Teuchi-san ?"
"Same ~ Only after surviving that war that I remembered the weirdly ordinary dream I've once had ~ Opening a ramen stand, and admire the satisfaction, the joy, the happiness on the faces of my customers ~"
"How about you, Ayame ?"
"Yo dayo ~ Oops, why did I say that ? Anyways, my dream is… cooking, eating, and continuing the way of Ichiraku, in my own styles !"
Yup, there is something seriously wrong with this Ayame. And Teuchi in this world is a war veteran ? Of a fucking World War ?
Yes, you don't hear wrong. They aren't just Great Ninja Wars, but actual World Wars. There was four World Wars, with the fourth being Kurama vs the whole world. Apparently, in canon, there is already a massive gap in power between Kurama and the rest of Tailed Beast, but to this point ?
"So, what is your dream, Naruto ?"
Uh oh, it is yapping time.
"To become the next Hokage, the new God of Shinobi, and even beyond !"
"Wow, that's surely ambitious ~!" said the "Yo dayo" Ayame.
"A bit too ambitious, you don't think ?" doubted Iruka.
"Gahahaha ! There is nothing such as "too ambitious !" Ignore what Iruka said, I really look forward to our future Hokage, and Shinobi's God himself !"
"Guess I will also believe in you Naruto. But you have to pass tomorrow's exam first."
"Believe it, dattebayo !"
From afar, a shadow watched the exchange in silence and jealously…
And so, the test comes.
One month of hardcore tutoring by Sakura had made him a second Sakura in regarded of knowledge.
As a result, he easily clear the writing test. The tutoring has yield fruity outcome beyond his expectation.
Now, to the practical test. Unlike canon Naruto who cannot even conjure a proper clone, this Naruto has trained charka control and jutsu since birth. The difference in outcomes is obvious.
"Puff", smoke spreaded to the whole room.
The whole room was swarmed by Naruto clones.
Yet, Sakura managed to do the same despite her mediocre charka reserve.
Sasuke is even more impressive.
"Shadow Clones Jutsu !"
So Sasuke of this world knew Shadow Clones Jutsu this soon ? Nope, HIS FUCKING BROODING SHADOW VEIL SHAPESHIFTED INTO A HUMAN FIGURE WITH AN OUTLINE THAT RESEMBLE HIMSELF !
