A/N: As I continue making stories on FF and AO3, I've improved my writing ability to better acquaint myself with the characters I created. So, I plan to do a couple of A-B-C Challenge redoes to hopefully show my improvement and give you more insight into how some of these characters tick.
Let's begin, shall we?
A-B-C Challenge: Yao (Redux)
A): Aftercare (What they do with their s/o after sex)
Yao and his partner head to bed. The session is always intense, so talking will happen in the morning.
B): Bodypart (Favorite body part of their s/o)
A legs man. (I wonder how?) Yao also loves the torso. Nowhere specific with the chest, tits, or stomach - all included.
C): Cum (Where do they cum? How much?)
Anywhere on the body, so long as it isn't inside. Koga can be coaxed into a creampie, but don't try it with Yao. He'll kill the session and the relationship if you test him.
D): Dick (How well do they cope when sucked off?)
Due to saving himself for months or years, Yao doesn't have as much stamina for head as he used to. (When he was dating Fu, for example) However, a consistent relationship can fix that problem.
E): Experience (How good are they in bed?)
Yao has a Buddha-given gift of laying pipe despite not being as experienced as some of my other OCs. (Tea or Benji) His time as a Martial Artist has transferred into the bedroom.
F): Favorite Position
Anything that involves complete contact during the carnal sin. Yao likes to hold or hug his partners to make them feel safe. Missionary is a close second.
G): Goofy (Do they crack jokes or are they serious?)
Yao is easy to get along with and is a master of reading the room. If the vibe is serious, the last thing he'll do is crack a joke unless convinced it would lighten the mood. Martial Arts, however, is always a serious matter. Especially after Oro granted him the title of Sennin.
H): Honesty (How honest are they?)
Being a practicing Buddhist, Yao doesn't lie. He's been honest for so long that even the most minor lie will make him feel guilty.
I): Intimacy (How intimate are they? Fav intimate activities/gestures?)
Yao's a bit of a sap, thus has nothing to hide when he's in a relationship. If someone asks if he's seeing someone, he'll let the whole world know he is. Seeing as his s/o's are very territorial nine times out of ten.
J): Jerk off (How often do they jerk off?)
Yao has never masturbated due to learning Martial Arts from his uncle during his childhood. He was dating Fu by the time he knew what sex was.
K): Kinks (Do they have any kinks?)
None through no fault of his own. Fu was experimental regarding sex when the two were together. So while he doesn't have any, Yao keeps an open mind.
L): Location (Where do they like to do it?)
Anywhere that doesn't have people watching him is viable. The only eyes he needs on him are his partner's. But the number one answer will be the bedroom.
M): Motivation (What turns them on?)
The old answer was flirtation and consent. Now? Yao really likes when people are straightforward with their intentions. Traveling with Juri and Laura and his night with Chun Li has made confusion and flakes two things that genuinely irritate him. He has better things to do than chase, especially when he becomes a Sennin.
N): Naughty secret (What is the secret they keep?)
Despite not having much practice, Yao has quite the haul of sexual partners. He's slept with Lucia, Jessica Haggar (Unwillingly, mind you), Roxy, Maki, Fu, Psylocke, Emma Frost, Seirah (Whip), and Chun. And despite having BDE, he's almost always come on to. Roxy and Lucia were the only exceptions.
O): Oral (Would they rather give or receive?)
Would rather give. Yao doesn't have the stamina to receive head, especially if it's good. So he'd prefer to eat the box instead.
P): Pace (Are they slow and sensual or fast and rough)
Yao likes to take his time. He hasn't had a forgettable experience after convincing his partner to make love instead of just fucking. It's his endearing trait.
Q): Quickies (Yay or nay? Their opinions on quickies?)
Like Koga, Yao's opposed to quickies. Can it wait? There are almost always more important matters than sex.
R): Rounds (How many rounds can they go in bed?)
Despite not having the stamina for head, the same can't be said for the actual deed. Yao can go for as long as is needed. And who said cardio doesn't help?
S): Support (Do they help each other and/or praise each other during sex?)
Yao's always up for helping others in need. Hell, it's how he finds his partners and friends. Although, his altruism sometimes gets him in deep water. In terms of sex, the same can be said to the point where his partners can grow clingy. His calm and friendly demeanor doesn't help in that aspect either.
T): Thrill (Do they like to try new things or stick to the same ol' routine?)
His relationship with Fu has given Yao an open mind when it comes to sex. (Even if he doesn't want to admit it)
U): Unfair (Do they like to tease a lot in bed?)
Not much, if at all. In public, he's all for embarrassing his partner, turning them into a blushing mess in front of family or friends.
V): Volume (How loud or quiet are they in bed)
Yao's pretty quiet in bed, speaking in soft whispers into his partner's ears. With the jobs he does, his partners are almost always the same.
W): Wildcard (Random fluff or NSFW HC you have for this character)
Sleeping with Chun awoke his love for legs and thighs. So anything that exposes the legs (A cheongsam, for example) is a weakness for him. Sleeping with Juri turned him on to abs as she was the first woman he slept with that sported a visible six-pack. Regarding non-sexual fluff, he's phenomenal with kids due to having thirteen little sisters. (All the Dolls view him as their big brother, Cammy included) Also, he and Koga are good, if not best friends. They are also a music duo called Golden Brown, where each plays Acoustic Guitar. (Fascinating new fact)
X): Xray (How big are they? Flaccid and Erect? Trimmed or not?)
Yao has a comedic 8 inch dick that's a shower. His partners are always in for a pleasant surprise when they see it, considering he's a full-blooded Chinese man.
Y): Yearning (How well do they cope when you or s/o are away and they're horny?)
Yao can exercise some patience after going years without sexual activity. That means he can wait a few hours. The training done with Oro to cement himself as a Sennin took two whole years.
Z): Zzz (Do they fall asleep straight after sex or wait for you or s/o to sleep first?)
Sex with Yao doesn't end after one round. Ask Fu. They went eight rounds before tapping out. The session will last a long time, but you'll each be catching Z's once it's over.
Bonus Question: True Pairings (Who do you think as their creator would be best for him/her?):
Ah, the biggest reason as to why I did the Redux.
In the first version, I listed a bunch of Street Fighter women because it was the safest option. Almost every choice we were already familiar with was Chun, Juri, Laura, and Menat. Outside of Street Fighter, I said Shina from Bloody Roar. Of my OCs, I said Tea, Devin, Kim, or Kole. Now, I only agree with one of those options - Chun. Even then, there would still be some reason why I wouldn't pair him up with her either. Let's go over why the Street Fighter I chose wouldn't work.
Remember when I said that Yao doesn't like confused women and are flakes? Juri is the reason he doesn't like the former. Being his pilot wasn't enough to not pursue a romantic relationship. They eventually slept together in what Yao thought was a breakthrough, only for Juri to leave him. (Jian took that as a personal betrayal. She probably predicted that this would happen) Her falling back into old habits of being a villainess didn't help either. The pair would be friends, but there's a thick air of contention between the two as Yao has little patience for her antics. (AD: She was wrong for him from the start as Juri's old ways were always going to rear their ugly head)
Laura is the reason why Yao hates flakes. Admittedly, he let his dick think for him after deciding to let Laura travel with him. Jian and Juri would admit that too. Still, everyone knows about the shady shit Shadaloo does, so Laura should've expected something like the events that happened to happen. She would later apologize, but the whole incident left a sour taste in his mouth. (AD: In fairness to Laura, being in Brazil's proverbial bubble gave her no idea about Shadaloo's dealings. You don't know what you don't know)
Menat wouldn't work because we don't know much about her. The pair would get along well, but Menat's loud attitude and constant talk of destiny like she's Rose would get on his nerves. There would be many heated arguments if the pair got together romantically. Menat would discount Yao's effort to become a Sennin (His number one pet peeve without question) and Yao's retaliations calling Menat a discount Rose. (AD: A shame too, because I do like Menat a lot. She's just energetic and relies more on magic rather than facts)
While Chun would be the best option, there are still some issues. The first time they slept together was taboo and could've ruined them. Yao knew this and tried to not commit. But he submitted as they both caught feelings. Getting in her right mind, Chun broke it off before things got worse. Yao has the memory of an elephant. He never forgets and doesn't like confusion or flakes. Chun did both of those within a day apart. She's the best option of the four, but work has to be done on both sides for it to work.
Is there any other Street Fighter girl that would work? Good question; I honestly have no idea. The two gut choices would be Karin or Akira. Yet, I don't know how interactions with him and Karin would go, especially if it's Alpha Karin at the height of her arrogance. SFV Karin might be a better fit as Yao would make for a solid foil. As for Akira, we don't know how old she is in canon, so I won't dive into that since she might be under eighteen. Then there's Fu, his ex-girlfriend and Fei Long's older sister. But the pair agreed to never date each other again.
Outside of SF is where Yao's tastes get exposed.
When I pitched the Star-Crossed Lovers prompt to my editor, I pitched either Yao x Psylocke or Yao x Litchi Faye Ling. He picked the former since he didn't know much about BB. He asked why I chose those two specifically, and it has to do with Yao's romantic tastes. He primarily prefers dating Asian women, which doesn't sound outlandish.
Looking at my other OCs and who they're paired with, you'll notice that most of them are interracial pairings. (Especially considering OTPs) Koga/Chizuru, Devin/the Sparda Twins, Callie/Skarlet/Lao. (AD: Still interested in how this will play out in the next Arc) Benji has Jade but also a demoness in Sareena,. Xan/Mileena and first take Xan/Cassandra or Sophitia. So, Yao preferring to date the same race is kind of left-field. Keep in mind that he's still a human being with standard, traditional tastes. His preferences are as follows: Asian, Black, Hispanic, White. You have to be exceptional or cater to his tastes if you're a white woman since most of them date colored men due to fetishizing them. (AD: Can't tell you how many times I've seen this happen. Weird AF)
With that being said, who outside of SF would work with him?
There's Psylocke. (Betsy Braddock) While I considered them Star Crossed Lovers and still do, the pair can work since Psylocke is Juri save for being crazy and is a good person at heart. Yao is willing to work with that. Funnily enough, the following two people are white, which ties into what I just said. The first is Emma Frost. Yao isn't easily manipulated and can assert dominance in a relationship. So Emma Frost being the bottom would be hilarious. The next would be Whip from KOF. She's a fair and honest woman who's straightforward and the oldest of three. (That being K' and Kula Diamond) Even though Yao has her beat by eleven 'siblings', the pair already have something in common.
Another verse that Yao would fit well in is DOA.
Personally, I think the best DOA woman for him would be Lei Fang. It keeps with his traditionalist mentality for romance. Plus, she wears those cheongsams showing off so much leg that Yao wouldn't know what to do. And I know what you're thinking: 'What about Jann Lee?' I hate the Jann Lee x Lei Fang with a burning passion. You're gonna tell me that she takes so much abuse from him that she eventually starts crushing on him? The writing for DOA really fell off when Itagaki left, but that was one of the low points next to Core Values. Yao is a much better pairing for Lei Fang, and I'll die on that hill. Three other characters are Kasumi, Momiji, and Phase 4. Yao likes living a quiet life, so does Kasumi. They can work together to make that happen when not saving the world. Momiji and Yao, I feel, would have fantastic chemistry. (AD: I agree with this one. Momiji deserves more love) Phase 4 can be a product of Yao's altruistic save as many people as he can personally. With that pairing, I sense heavy Kamille Bidan and Four Murasame vibes. (Except you know Phase 4 wouldn't die in the end) Yao can give her the individuality she desperately craves, and she can be a turncoat who isn't crazy like Juri. Phase 4 might love him the most of the DOA women next to Kasumi, arguably. I've rambled for long enough.
Alwaysdoubted?
Glad to see this popular prompt come back. There's a lot to touch on, so I'll be brief.
As you stated, Yao does have options aside from the women he's already been in bed with. Being a powerful Martial Artist carries more weight than one would expect. Almost everyone in that realm has either heard of or wants something from you. This particular case is no exception.
Juri... I'll be blunt. She was the wrong choice for Yao, no matter how much she claims to have changed. Neutral, indifferent, or evil habits like hers don't die easily. Juri will never be right in the head after what Bison had done to her. And though I'm inclined to say I feel sorry for her, she chose to become what she is. No one forced her to. Plus, it wouldn't sit well with Jian after their interactions together. Sure, she and Yao can still be friends, but any chance of them sharing anything beyond that is slim to none. Yao deserves better.
Ok, I struggled with this next girl, as I initially picked her as the main chick from the group you tagged. Laura, to put it mildly, is a bit ditzy. However, that should not take anything away from her talent in the ring. The only thing holding her back is being more serious and viewing life in general. That's where her downfall came into play. Should she be more understanding of Yao's predicament before word got out about his probation? Yes, without question. But I will say that Yao should've been forthcoming in telling her beforehand to avoid confusion later on and if she really wanted to travel with them. In other words, I blame each side for how things turned out. Yet, it's probably for the best they went their separate ways.
For Menat, there simply isn't enough info on her or Rose. Forget the looks and mysterious allure for a minute. What would her interest in Yao be? To reveal his destiny? Or something more? That's what we'll never know. Not to say she wouldn't have a chance, but who would want every conversation to be about their destiny? I'm positive Yao doesn't want that.
Probably the most complex woman to score. Chun-Li was with Yao from his probation period up until the previous chapter. It's hard to get an exact read on where things stand after their one night stand. Both recognized it was a mistake that should've never happened. Things won't be the same again, and who knows what will happen if another unforeseen circumstance forces them into close quarters. It does make me wonder what Jian really thinks of Chun-Li. (Better than the first two I mentioned, I suppose) Personally, SFV Karin might be a good fit for Yao if she tones down her sophisticated arrogance. To your point, it's best to leave Akira out since we don't know her age.
When I edited the Yao/Psylocke piece you sent a few months back, that was a fun one to do as it explored a new dynamic within your relationships. But Yao knew it wouldn't work and didn't want to make the same mistake twice. Poor Psylocke missed out on something special. I agree that Emma Frost would be in for a rude awakening if she tried to assert her dominance against Yao. Whip would also be an interesting pairing as I would like to know more about her during my personal research.
Yao pairing with a DOA woman would be a change of pace and gives more choices. As you stated, Lei Fang, Kasumi, Momiji, or Phase 4 would make perfect sense for Yao. Personally, I don't mind the Jan Lee/Lei Fang dynamic but it could be written a lot better with the potential it has. I'd like to see what Yao and Momiji could be of the girls you listed. If for any other reason, see how they would interact since we know almost everything about Kasumi's history and family trauma.
Bonus Section: Questions from my Editor (Questions about the character that my Editor has.):
Has Yao's peace of mind been corrupted because of all these past flings?
You can say most of the one-night stands he's had has made Yao bitter, especially the women he slept with in Metro City and Juri. (He was forced to with Jessica. Lucia and Maki were impulse decisions. And Roxy was done out of spite for Damnd. Juri just bailed after their night together, but Yao didn't have time to properly analyze how he felt since he went to Brazil a few days later) I guess that post-nut clarity showed him just how big a mistake sleeping with these women was, save for Chun and surprisingly Psylocke.
(AD: Very interesting point. However, Yao needs to share some of the blame. A simple 'no' in some instances could've saved him a lot of trouble, regardless of how attractive these women are. If you're firm in you're principles, stick with them no matter what)
Does Fu know anything about Yao's casual flings?
She does not, and I don't think Fu wants to know. However, she knows that Yao won't lie to her and decided that he should keep it to himself. Fu won't get jealous if he did tell her. The romantic part of their relationship is long since done, and the platonic love they have for each other is second only to Koga and Samus.
(AD: Makes sense here as both stated they were still on good terms)
What is Oro and Yao's relationship now that their training partnership is over?
The pair rarely engage in casual talk, but they consider each other peers and friends. If they do happen to meet, they conversate and train together like they haven't missed a step. Since Yao's training is finished, the pair joke about each other constantly, all in good fun.
(AD: I can see this happening as there is now mutual respect between master and pupil)
With his current title, can Yao beat Ryu and/or Ken?
Yes, though it won't be a stomp for him. Yao's fought each before in the past and has traded wins and losses. His record is more impressive with Ken than Ryu, though I'll say that much. He also likes fighting Ken more. Yao himself has said: "Even though I don't fight for the fun of it like I used to, fighting Ken never fails to put a smile on my face."
(AD: I was thinking it would be the opposite with Yao liking to fight Ryu more because he won't mouth off. It's all business with him)
We know it's bound to happen. But what can we expect when Yao and Juri cross paths again? How will Jian react?
Good question.
Juri is as unpredictable as they come. You yourself said you weren't expecting her to bail after she slept with Yao in the finale of YGJ. I think it would start as an amicable relationship. Over time Yao's anger will manifest to the point where he just wants to beat her up. Justifiably so. When we next see Juri, she won't be by herself. Something to think about. (AD: Ah, I wonder who this could be)
As for Jian's reactions, she'll be annoyed with Juri's flaky behavior and sociopathic nature. If she never saw Juri again, it'll be too soon to her. (AD: Completely understandable from my viewpoint)
In your opinion, which fandom does Yao fit in best?

Yao fits in the SF and DOA Fandoms perfectly and without much difficulty. Though if I had to pick, I'll say SF as I made him specifically for this fandom. His fitting with the DOA fandom just happened to be a bonus I noticed after doing his redux.
Besides Koga, does Yao interact or is friends with any of your other OCs?
Koga tipped Benji off about his Medicine Store and is one of his regulars. Due to being close with the Detective, Yao is also friends with his siblings, especially Devin and Tea. If I ever decide to make another story in a fighting game fandom, Yao would most likely be the center character since he originates from a fighting game. It'll be easy to throw him in the mix.
Out of all of my OCs, people pick fights with him the most since Yao has the most impressive record and the smallest amount of blemishes. He only lost fights to those who have reached mythical levels of strength, like deities. Even then, he still holds his own and sometimes bests them, if Yao decides to take his Limiter Rings off, of course.
