I'm only hearing negative, no, no, no
As Sesshomaru drew closer, he was surprised the Miko wasn't running out to greet him, or at least to complain because he was sure she was going to. Instead, the oldest demon in his care greeted him. The woman he left to aid Kagome and she didnt look at all pleased, not that he cared if she was.
"My Lord," She bowed, but the hard tone of her voice meant she had an issue.
"I am pleased you have returned, my Lord; I must speak with you about Lady Miko,"
They walked inside. He looked ahead, and she kept up with his long strides even though she was shorter and older, much older.
"Speak then," Besides, where was Kagome anyway?
He could feel her annoyance from where he was.
"I do not guess your judgment, my Lord, but to leave her as the Lady the house to do as she pleases?"
He spared her a small glance. "What had she done?" He asked,
"She doesn't have the first clue of what it means!"
"That is why I left her in your care, woman,"
"I am not a witch, my Lord; she does not comprehend,"
That was funny because he was quite sure Kagome was intelligent.
"I will speak to her," He stopped at the door. "There will be an arrival of items, put them away,"
She bowed and quickly took her leave and Sesshomaru looked at the door and opened it.
Kagome was sitting at an open window, the soft wind blowing her hair lightly. She held her chin in her hand. She looked calm, but he could tell she wasn't.
"Miko,"
Finally, she looked at him, but it was more like a glare.
"I suspected I would come home to find you pleased,"
She continued to glare at him. "And why would I be pleased? I've been a prisoner here!"
"You are free to come and go as you wish, woman,"
"That's not what I meant!"
"You have a grievance with the old woman?"
"You said I could do whatever I wanted,"
"Within reason, woman,"
"Oh, I'm sorry; I didn't know that meant I couldn't do anything; next time, just say that!"
He was getting a headache, "Do tell Kagome," He used her name because he wanted this to be over and soon.
"Heaven for bid I want to start a garden, or sort come books and dont even ask about going to the kitchen!"
He raised an elegant eyebrow,
"That bat hovered like a grouchy school lady slapping my hand every chance she got! She's worse than you!"
"Bat lady?" He asked,
"Yeah, because she just hung about, just waiting to bite my head off at every damn turn!"
He still didn't understand, so he would have to go back and speak to the demoness.
"I will speak to her Kagome,"
She crossed her arms and huffed,
He then pulled out a package and handed it to her.
Kagome looked and slowly dropped her arms to reach for the package.
"It's A book," She said. She opened it. It was a press book filled with different types of flowers, weeds, and herbs.
"A Miko made that book; I do not have the knowledge of this in my library; I do assume you are educated,"
Kagome nodded. "Thank you,"
He turned. "There are Kimonos for you and Rin,"
He then took his leave and made his way to the old woman.
"My Lord, did you speak to the Miko?"
"The Miko is free to do as she wishes; did I not state this?"
"But my Lord, you gave her a title,"
"Then why did you not explain?"
She looked away. "I assume it is temporary?"
He narrowed his eyes. "What titles I have and to whom are none of your concern, I will be leaving again soon and do not wish to return to such troubles,"
"Then you wish for me to let her roam about acting as a servent than a Lady?"
He was getting a headache, "Useless,"
He turned. He had an option, but it wasn't a pleasing one. He would seek help from his mother because he didnt have time for this.
With a swirl of magic, he entered his mother's domain.
"Why have you come here?"
"I seek a favor,"
"Are you in a position to ask of one?"
"The Miko known as Kagome is in my care,"
"No," She stated quickly, "I have helped you with one human and have no desire to aid with another,"
"I must leave again,"
"I am not a babysitter Sesshomaru,"
He snorted; of course she wasn't.
She narrowed her eyes,
"Her position is temporary,"
"And what position is that,"
He knew she knew.
"How temporary,"
"I seek a replacement as we speak,"
His mother walked up to him, asking him, "What is the issue?"
"I gave the Miko free will, yet there is an issue between her and Baba,"
His mother laughed. "You left a Miko with no refinement to rule your house with no rules with a woman a thousand of years pledge to its upkeep?"
"Teach her,"
His mother laughed again. "What if she can not be taught?"
"Bend the rules,"
Her eyes went wide. "Surely you jest?"
"As I stated, it is only temporary; when the Miko has a house of her own to rule, she may rule is as she wishes; she is powerful in her own right,"
His mother thought for a moment, "Why do you care?"
"She must mate a demon,"
"Who says she will mate at all,"
"It is in the Miko's nature; she is not like the rest,"
She tucked her hands in her sleeves. "I will do this only because I am bored, and this seems interesting enough. Tell me, are you looking for her a mate as well as yourself,"
Sesshomaru turned. "I am not her matchmaker,"
"Just her, Lord?"
He eyed his mother. "Nothing more, Mother; she has earned her place, has she not?"
She could not argue with that.
"I should say no to this, but I will indulge you this once,"
