Hello everyone ! I am back with this story and Happy Holidays. Hope you guys got a kick with the past few months. Things had been hectic with me as of late. I had severe writer's block, not only that but I had a lot of BS happening to me as of late. So I did not have the spirit at the time to update, and for a time was even contemplating in completely removing myself from FanFiction. However, I finally found the spark and I am able to write again. Thank you all for waiting patiently while I had to deal with some hardships in my wake.
Enough about me, let us get into the story. :) I hope you all enjoyed this story as much as I had! Please always leave reviews, they are always appreciated. Thank you. :)
Chapter LII: Kill the Hero's Rescuers
SHEELE WAS NORMALLY not the type of person to be the jealous type. She was reserved and often times was the person to stay away from conflict unless the situation called for it...or if it was for self-defense. For the past few days, Sheele was on the edge. She was worried sick about her close friend, though in her heart of hearts, their friendship was anything but a friendly greeting. It was...love! Anytime there was danger that arised, Sheele was always there to protect him, not that he needed the protection in the first place. After all, he was a one man army. Millions of aliens were stored in his device, and the fact that he had that much power still made her uneasy, but who could blame her. For one person to have that much power can make anyone queasy, no matter how long or close you know someone.
Her feelings for Ben was strong...perhaps too strong. Anytime she saw Akame ogled at her friend, her fists clenched. She couldn't do anything to her, unfortunately, since she was far more skilled as an assassin than anyone on the team. One swipe from her sword and all of a sudden, you are finding yourself buried in the ground. Sheele was no slouch herself, but if there was a fight between the two ladies, the battle between Akame versus Sheele, the latter was more than likely to win in that scenerio than the former.
Same for Akame, she had reservations for the Changeling, and for good reason. A man armed with a powerful device that could counter her attacks was terrifying. Every sparring match, he would mostly win...or close to getting it. She was no slouch either, and fortunately knew a few of his weaknesses that she could exploit: the timing out, and a few pressure points she had found around them. So, she would always find ways to try to incompacitate Ben in various of his form, if he ever goes rogue.
Though, that does not mean that her feelings for the Changeling had not sprung either. Though, she does not show it to her teammates that much, her feelings for Ben was nothing to gawk at. Like Sheele, if Ben was in danger, she would also be the first to defend him as well.
Gwen, Akame, and Sheele were underneith the palace, trying not to make any commotion while they were there. Gwen lit up the underground hallway with her balled fist carrying a bright pink orb; Sheele was carrying a map of the underground tunnel while Akame was walking ahead of everyone, acting as the two's first defense.
"If we make a left turn to the next hallway over, we will be on the way towards the location Ben is held captive in," Sheele said.
"I can sense that there may be some security here and there, so we best lay low as much as we can. We do not want to start a panic or any unneccesary interruptions," Gwen said.
"That would be difficult," Akame admitted. "Ben is currently being jailed by high security," she then turned to the back, "And if you know who is there, she would most likely be ready."
"If Seryu is there, I'll be the first to take her out," Sheele said with venom.
Gwen arched, "Who's Seryu?"
"Think of the craziest person you ever met, and multiply that by a thousand and one," Akame summarized.
"And add an extreme obession to kill Ben, or in the least, anyone named Ben," Sheele said.
"That's...prejudiced," Gwen stated.
"That's not even half of it," Sheele and Akame said in unison. Gwen was so confused about everything that happened. She was slightly aware of a justice-obsessed girl from Paradox's sumamry, but this woman seems different. What did Ben do to this girl?
Every time she thinks about Seryu, her face turns redder by the minute. The level of hatred she had of this woman was otherworldly. She hid it well, but to the trained eye, it was obvious.
She had some mixed feelings of Akame and her increasing closeness towards Ben. She was getting...far more and more amorous when she was with him. She wouldn't go so far as trying to get physical on the man, but a few kisses here and there was enough to make Sheele slightly uncomfortable. Gwen saw this as Sheele and Akame slightly were increased paces from one another.
"Sheele, are you okay?" Gwen asked.
"Hm?" Sheele turned to Gwen, "I am. Why do you ask?"
"You seemed a little...tense," Gwen said.
"She's worried about him," Akame said suddenly, "And so do I," she turned to Sheele and continued, "I care for him just as much as you do, but I do not want him to be the key to our rivalry. He's a teammate and a friend, despite our feelings for him we must cast that aside and save him," Akame said.
"I know," Sheele said.
"In the end, this is not about Ben," Gwen said.
"It's about the freedom of this world; think about it this way, who would want to live in a world with Seryu having the power of the Ultimatrix," Akame asked as she continued walking her pace.
"You're...wait...do you hear that?" Sheele asked. There was a rhythm of large thuds pounding in the wet ground. A low growl echoed the tunnel. Gwen brightened up her fists and got into position.
"So, Danger Beasts huh?" Gwen asked.
"Yeah," Akame said, pulling out her Murasame.
"Careful Gwen, these creatures are vicious," Sheele said, "Stay behind us, okay?"
"Don't worry about me, I've dealt worse," Gwen said, powering up.
The girls stuck together as a unit as the monster came closer. Their stances became defined as the thuds got louder. Minute by minute, their eyes became focused. Gwen's aura brightened as the low growl got louder.
It got heavy.
It got colder, on top of that, there was laughter.
Cold...
Deranged...
Laughter.
When the beast finally came to the light stood a giant dog accompanied with a deranged young woman with auburn hair and amber eyes. Gwen was confused on who the lady was, but she did catch a glympse of the hateful glares coming out of Sheele and Akame, noting to her that she was the bad guy...and a personal enemy.
"So I take it that this must be the Seryu chick," Gwen asked.
"The monster who lives," Akame said, barely trying to keep her monotonous tone in her voice. It cracked, showing her anger.
"The woman who just won't die!" Sheele seethed.
"Well, well, well, if it isn't Ben's girlfriends! Are you coming to see your groom before he is executed in the morning? If so, I can make so you guys can share the same Deathbed!" Seryu threatened.
"It was a mistake for you to face us, you monster!" Sheele said. "Seeing that your dog is not around to protect you?"
"Don't worry about my Koro, I'll send you to him in pieces! He likes his food bite size!" Seryu pulled out a red and silver hexagon-like device that displayed teeth in the front. This alone terrified Gwen.
"You have the Nemetrix?" Gwen panicked.
"YES! nd with it, I can have all of Ben's powers 100 fold! I can even combine those forms into superforms! I will become the Ultimate Being! Seryu Ubiquitous will become...ULTIMATE SERYU!" She slapped the device on her chest added with a maniacal, psychotic laugh. A RED FLAME encirlced around her as a large, segmented purple and gray body and a red head resembling that of a Carnotaurus or a Tyrannosaurus with a horn started to take shape.
"MEET ANTI-BEN JUSTICESAURUS REX!" She roared.
"Really?" Gwen deadpanned. "You could have named it anything else?"
"I don't care what the name is," Akame stepped in, "After I'm finished with you, you will be renamed as tombstone!"
"Tough talk for a rebel! Lets see if you can back it up!"

Ben was busy in his cage trying to figure a way out. He tried everything. He tried picking the lock with various tools, tried swinging his body around to break the chains. Everything. What was worse was that he does not have his Ultimatrix. He was virtually useless at this point. Without his powers he was just...normal. The more he tried, the more he failed. He was getting desperate, he was getting frustrated. He sat back, frustrated, angry at everything that had transpired at the time.
"Great, no powers, and no way to save my friends. And Eon is here to take over my world with this universe's army at his disposal. I have to get out of this," Ben said to himself.
"Bark! Bark!" barked a creature. Ben arched his brow and turned around and saw no one around.
"Hello?"
"Bark! Bark!" Ben looked around again, this time he looked below to see what it was...or who it was.
"Korro?" Ben said, a tired, and frustrated tone in his voice. "If you are coming in to gloat, just get it over with."
"Bark!" it said. Korro looked around for any one around him. He climbed up the chair, hopped on to the door and closed it shut, let alone locking it. Ben was curious as to why; though, since was Seryu's pet, he can only think of the worse in this scenerio.
And all of them include: Ben dies, hooray.
It would have been that way for a normal day, but this was not a normal day, this was not a normal universe, and certaintly, this was not a normal dog.
Korror stared at Ben coldly, as if analyzing.
"So what are you gonna do now, eat me?"
Korro nodded. Ben furrowed.
"Then what are you here for?"
Korro put one finger up to Ben before it started punching itself in the stomach several time until he loud a large gurgle.
HIS ULTIMATRIX was barfed up.
"MY ULTIMATRIX!" Ben yelled. Korro grabbed it and shook the digestive juices away. He climbed up the table and walked towards Ben handing him his device.
"Th-thank you?" Ben asked, "But why?"
Korro was a beast of a few words. He stood straight, back straight and jerked his thumb to the left towards the door befroe twirling his finger around his ear.
"You and I at least agree on one thing," Ben said clasping the Ultimatrix on his wrist, twisting the dial to reactivate it.
"Thanks anyway," Ben said, activating the Ultimatrix, programming Diamondhead.
Author's Note: No, this is not a dream. Yes this was the chapter, yes I had an extreme writer's block when trying to plot for this chapter. Lets just say i had a rough few years. I will be outlining the 53rd chapter soon though.
I have also made a website where I made my first printed comic book if you guys are interested. Though I may be busy as well since I am working on an animation that I will be posting on YouTube though. Sorry for the long wait though.
Anyway, I hope youm all enjoyed this fic as much as I had writing it! Please always leave reviews, they are always appreciated. Until next time!
PEACE!
