Cold Fusion Cell Engines
Double Heat Sinks
Cold Fusion Cell (CFC) Engine:
The CFC is a marvel of Terran and Inner Sphere engineering, utilizing both technology bases to create a new type of Fusion engine. The First Generation of CFC Engines are the same size and tonnage of a standard fusion engine of the same rating, but costs half as much to manufacture. Much of the cost savings are thanks to the CFCs themselves.
CFCs are entirely self-contained fusion reactors: containing not only the fuel for a fusion reactor but generating it themselves. However, they are not capable of converting that reaction into usable energy. An uncontained CFC will simply release a directed flow of fusion energy from its opening if improperly activated. Compared to a standard engine, which both generates the fusion reaction and draws power from it, a CFC engine is only designed to draw energy from the reaction. This is what allows the engine to be vastly cheaper to manufacture, as much of the cost has been taken by the CFCs. CFC engines are also designed to have CFCs slot into them and be replaced as needed.
Beyond this, CFCs are equipped with the default 10 standard heat-sinks found in engines across the Inner Sphere. However, because of the endothermic nature of the fuel of CFCs, and technical knowledge from the Terrans, the base ten heat-sinks all receive a 100% increase in efficiency. In other words, a CFC engine can be treated as being equipped with Double Heat Sinks without needing the technology in question.
Double Heat Sinks:
Reverse-engineered by the Terrans after samples were recovered from the salvaged remains of a SLDF Royal Division Crab CRB-27b, the secrets of their construction and production were shared with the government of Dumassas. Working in conjunction with Haven engineers, Double Heat Sink production has, since the Star League Civil War, resumed on Dumassas.
These Double Heat Sinks are virtually identical to Star League era models but for some material differences. Performance wise, they are identical.

Lore:
Dumassas manufactured a number of variants of the Hetzer, one of the only chassis which it was both licensed and capable of manufacturing locally.
The LRM Carrier is identical to its QuiksCell manufactured model, with the only difference being manufacturer of the LRM-15.
The medium laser model, locally referred to as the 'SwayRide' in reference to the Hunchback HBK-4P 'Swayback' replaces the Class-20 autocannon with a quartet of medium lasers, installing just enough heat-sinks to keep the vehicle cool while adding on a ton and a half more armor. Much like the 'Swayback', the SwayRide has a tendency to sway during movement, though this has been attributed more to the drivers than the change in weight.
Dumassas found itself in a conundrum with both models however, as they proved to be wildly popular with merchants on the rare occasion they visited the planet. The merchants stating that their customers loved purchasing QuiksCell products when they were not actually manufactured by QuiksCell. As such, it made the Dumassas manufactured Hetzer LRM Carrier an incredibly popular model when it was first introduced, which in turn lead to delays in the production of the Merkava Mark-IX when production of the main battle tank began. The same being true for the original model with Class-20 autocannons, but those were saved from sales due to both a need of the heavy autocannon and the considerable marked-up price. While the Hetzer chassis was locally manufactured, the Class-20 autocannons were laregly imported, hence the mark-up.
The 'SwayRide' proved to be equally as popular when it was introduced even prior to the LRM Carrier, with many merchants snapping them up to sell as the 'Perfect companion to the Swayback'. As a result, at the time of the Terran arrival in 3018, all models manufactured by Dumassas had since been sold and taken off-world, with more in various states of manufacture.
Another example of Retrotech, the M113 APC is, incredibly, a modernization of an APC design from pre-space flight Terra! While slower than many modern APCs, it is comparably armed and better armored than many of its contemporaries, while only being two tons heavier. Though being a RetroTech design, it is arguably what allowed K to survive and grow as a manufacturer prior to the Merkava Mark-IX.
The very age of the design has lead to it being incredibly simple to manufacture, to the point that a large number of them are manufactured by students of the Engineering programs at the University of Dumassas, what remains of the school at least. The school using the process of manufacturing and assembling the M113 as a way to give its students hands on and real-world experience.
Like the other Hetzer LRM and Swayride, it has proven to be a very popular machine among the merchants during the rare visits, but enough are produced that even after being sold, there were enough for the Dumassas Militia.
NOTE: The following models were only ever prototyped by the time of the Terran's arrival, being not on any level of production whatsoever.
The original prototypes, during the pirate attack on Dumassas by Piedra's Plunderers were in a state of disassembly, being under thorough mechanical inspection following a rigorous trial assessment run.
Model A
The first design was a reflection of the J.Edgar as a 'jack-of-all-trades' by keeping a medium laser but substituting an LRM 15 to act as a stand off weapon instead of the SRM2s. This allows it to fight at multiple ranges and have a backup if and when it's 2 tons of LRM ammo run dry. However with only 9 tons of armor (73% of total) it remained a more vulnerable combatant that's its 'brother'.
Model B
This design did away with traditional armaments and instead focused on delivering as heavy an alpha strike as possible after using it's speed to close to optimal distance. To this a trio of SRM 6s was mounted in the turret fed by a three ton ammo storage. While this allows the machine to deliver large amounts of damage quickly, it only has 15 volleys before its stores run dry and it needs to evacuate the battleground. However the total of 10.5 tons of armor means that it is durable enough to keep up this 'zoom and boom' combat style unless focus down by multiple hard-hitting weapons.
While there had originally been discussion about potentially designing an ASF or conventional aircraft it had been pointed out that nobody on Dumassas had any experience using such vehicles in a combat role meaning that they would need to hire trainers to set up the entire branch of the military. In comparison VTOLs had been a part of the PDF's TO with the Warrior H-7 attack helicopter. Of course like the J.Edgar said model was imported so an alternate that could be locally manufactured would be preferred.
Heavier and slower (118.8 KPH max compared to 151) than it's counterpart, it is nonetheless far tougher carrying 7.5 tons of standard armor as compared to the Warrior's meager 1.5. Even then its vulnerable rotors can be easily damaged meaning it tactics are to stay at range, peppering targets with LRM 15 fire and only using it's machine gun against infantry or light vehicles.
Transport model
A second version of the of the Falcon, which hearkens back to the original model. Instead of a gunship, this model serves as a high-speed aerial troop transport, going places that the M113 could never hope to. A 3 ton troop compartment along with 1 ton of cargo space allows the craft to move just about anything at blistering speed with it's larger engine (151.2 kph). For weaponry the VTOL is equipped solely with a turret containing a machine gun and a grenade launcher for the purpose of clearing hostile infantry in the LZ and/or laying down smoke shells to cover the infantry exiting it.
M22 'Plinker' Defense Turret
The M22 'Plinker' Defense Turret is a basic defense turret designed by the Terrans for the purpose of establishing a defensive gun array as quickly and as simply as possible, and creating a design that can be shared widely. To that end, much of the M22 uses off-the-shelf Inner Sphere components and parts in its construction.
It's primary armament are six 40mm Whirlwind-L Class-2 Autocannons, accompanied by a single LRM-5 missile system. Most of the M22 is composed of Inner Sphere components, with the exception being an advanced tracking and target system and Fire-Control System, along with a uplink to connect with the Terran battle-net.
M22s marked for export are equipped with an off-the-shelf Tracking and Target system, Fire-Control System, and the uplink is removed entirely.
It must be made clear that the M22 is not meant to be a wonder weapon of a defense system. Instead, it is meant to be a versatile system working in conjunction with other defensive measures. In an optimal situation, the M22 is a deterrent to hostile forces as the Class-2 autocannon is capable of outranging most other weapon systems in the Sphere, forcing them to find a new avenue, withdraw, a means to engage the Class-2 at equal or greater range, or charge under a hail of fire.
