Chapter Two
"You did it Buffy" Dawn smiled with unshed tears in her eyes
Buffy looked down at the infant that had just been placed in her arms. A rush of love hit Buffy like never before. She couldn't believe she was now a mother, something she never dreamed was even possible, and of course it wouldn't have been without the gift that Spike gave her. The thought of him crossed her mind a lot, but even more so in this moment.
"She's beautiful" Willow cried
Buffy was infatuated with the little baby that lay in her arms "She's perfect" said Buffy
"Does she have a name?" asked Dawn
"This is Lily" said Buffy "Lily Anne Summers"
*Twenty Years Later*
Buffy's thoughts were broken by the sound of somebody entering the room.
"Hey… oh mom no! Not the baby photos" Lily grimaced
A young girl stood in the doorway of her room. She looked exactly like her mother, she was petite with blond hair and piercing blue eyes.
"Look at you!" Said Buffy pointing to a photo of her holding Lily when she was first born "You really were the best baby"
"Do you have to get all nostalgic every birthday?" asked Lily
"Yes, it's my right as your mother" said Buffy
"But you get all weepy and sad" said Lily
"Because you're all grown up… I miss my little pumpkin belly. When you have kids of your own you'll understand" Buffy smiled sadly
"Kids of my own? Jump the gun much?" said Lily
Buffy laughed "So what's up?"
"Just wanted to see what time you were leaving to see Grandpa Giles" said Lily
"Oh crap" said Buffy, she had gotten so caught up looking at her photo albums she had lost track of time "… I was supposed to leave an hour ago"
Lily laughed "I'm sure he'll be okay, I'm sure he's used to Tardy Buffy"
Buffy rolled her eyes and stuffed a sweater into a duffel bag "You'll be okay here?"
"I'm almost 21 Mom, I think I'll be fine" Lily smiled, she sat on her mother's bed "So big Slayer meeting?"
"Uh yeah… I'll only be gone for a day maybe two. Try and stay out of trouble" said Buffy
"Trouble seems to find me Mom" Lily shrugged
"But you don't have to go looking for it" Buffy reminded her "So no patrolling whilst I'm gone okay?"
Lily rolled her eyes "Fine"

Buffy knocked on the door, Giles opened it with a smile "Ah Buffy, I didn't think you were going to make it"
"That's code for 'you're late' right?" said Buffy stepping over the threshold.
Giles nodded
"Are we ready to start?" asked Giles
Buffy nodded and followed Giles into the dining room. Around the large table sat Willow, Dawn and Andrew.
"Hey guys, sorry I'm late" said Buffy
"Good to see you Buffy" said Willow, smiling.
"We all know why we're here?" asked Giles
They nodded.
"Oh wait, I said I'd FaceTime Xander" said Willow tapping on her iPad.
"Hey guys!" said Xander waving
"Xander where are you?" asked Dawn
"I'm in Poland, don't worry I'll be back in time for Lily's birthday. I just had to collect something for the G man" said Xander
"Ah yes, thank you again Xander" said Giles
"No problemo" Xander smiled
"Right, so I guess we better start" said Giles "As you all know, Lily is about to turn twenty one…"
"I can't believe it" said Andrew "She's all grown up"
"Yes, I appreciate the sentiment but with Lily turning twenty one we need to formulate a plan should the prophecy be correct" said Giles
"Which knowing my past history it will be" said Buffy
"So tell us again what the prophecy actually says" said Dawn
"The baby born under a blue moon. Made from darkness and light shall be a gift to the world. A gift that can be harnessed for good or for evil" said Giles
"And this is definitely about Lily?" asked Dawn
"She was born under a blue moon…" Willow reminded them
"And made from darkness and light… technically anyway" said Andrew
"I've researched this for years on and off… I had some of the seers at the coven look into it" said Willow "It's definitely about Lily"
"Are you okay Buff? You're a little quiet there" said Xander
"I'm okay… it just we've been over this so many times. We're all well versed in this. God even Lily herself… we just need a plan" said Buffy
"Agreed…" said Dawn
