Hard to say whether there's any real spoilers to be warned of in this since the premise is very much far away from what Tekken 8's story had (especially since the characters involved never meet in the story).

Reina's primary mission in life was to unlock her potential and get revenge against Kazuya.

On the other hand, her secondary mission, upon meeting her during her time with the Yggdrasil alliance, became even simpler: toy around with one Asuka Kazama as much as humanly possible.

It all started when she first met (and soundly defeated) the Osaka girl in the King of Iron Fist Tournament's Japan qualifiers not all that long ago. Then she also met Asuka's 'friend' Lili – and from there discovered just how... hilariously complicated their relationship was. Not quite friends, though at the same time, their status as enemies seemed to be waning as well – almost as though they enjoyed their company.

From that point, Reina found herself a hyper-fixation of mass proportions – Asuka's easily-irritable nature became the sandbox to the hidden caverns of Reina's mind, tied under the wraps of a girl who felt as though she simply existed to be the 'maverick' of the group.
Adorable on the outside but sly within, though a third layer became prevalent when she roamed around Asuka – to be a tease of such a strong nature that she was likely to make even someone like Lili jealous.

Reina's first step towards this 'secondary mission' started with a giving of 'gifts'.

"Reina?"
"Yes?"
"This is your idea of a gift?"

In Asuka's hands, a simple little leather collar.

"I have a lot of stuff back home that I'm willing to give away," Reina answered. "Turned out I had an idea for you in particular the moment I fished that out. Think of it as something for your friend's cat."

"She's not that much of a friend," Asuka retorted. "Besides, I'm pretty sure this is more of a dog collar – Salt's a cat, I think."

"You 'think' it's a cat? What, did you not check?"

Asuka simply stared, unamused with Reina's retort.
"Just... shut up and tell me you're messing with me, okay? This thing fits me more than it does." She didn't even need to wear the thing to prove her point; it already looked pretty wide enough to be worn around a person's neck, while gripped in her hands.
"Tell me why you really got me this."

Reina snorted, mustering the strength to keep a straight enough face to say what she needed to say next.
"Well... all I heard around the grapevine is that you're Lili's bitch~"

At that point, she had to force her palm over her mouth as the snickering intensified within her mouth.

It shouldn't have taken Asuka as brief but as long as it took for her to process the wordplay, between the dog collar and the specific choice of word.

When it clicked, it clicked with force.
"...oh, go fuck yourself, Reina."
Asuka simply walked off in a huff, perhaps planning to get back at the 'purple menace' for this moral defeat.

All the while, Reina's stifled laughter simmered down behind her muffling palm, and once she was certain Asuka's back was turned, her hand slowly dropped to reveal the smile on her face.
Not a smile of an innocent goober this time... but rather one befitting the little devil Reina truly was.

Run along, guinea pig, she chimed in her head. I'm only getting started with you...

So yeah, been a while. Again. 10 months passed since I last posted anything here. Admittedly, life has passed me by pretty quick considering that there's been two months-long gaps between the past few things I've posted.

Hopefully things change a little bit for this year, starting with this little drabble. I've got a more substantial story within the Tekken fandom (also mainly involving Asuka and Reina because I love them both equally) baking as well, but it might be a little while before chapters for that start coming out because I'm planning on writing down the whole story before I start posting it in case I unintentionally pull another 'Tournament of Dignity' and leave that to collect dust.
