Itwas early morning in the house she and Branchie lives in with Rocket only Casey felt a barky lil hand on her shoulder tapping it gently, which was slowky bringing oht of the fogginess from sleep wondering what had Branchie so excited, seeing the female-sapling pointing to the window plus Casey felt it was super-cold peeking outside. Her jaw dropped inawe seeing the city blanketed in deep, deep snow smirking knowing what was happenibg or going to happen in this situation, using her super-speed power to get dressed in her normal attire hearing Rocket up, gently knocking onthe bedroom door."

"Branchie, Casey, youup and you probabky are, plus see the snow outside. You guys are probably gonna play outside" he said shiveribg from how cold the house was "Yep, it's not often we get snow." Casey tokd him. Branchie smirked getting on Vasey's shouldershe flew downstairs making Rocket sighing. He knewshe had powers she was still learning to control despite her strong emotions being connected to them seeing Branchie give him a look seeing him sighing noticing Casey was wearing the cosy socks Nebula had made.

"Mmmmm, goodoatmeal, thanks Rockie." Casey told sharing with Branchie using her spoon.

"Ummmm, do you have stuff to do today." she asked Rocket.

"I don't think so kiddo, but don't worry." he reassured her.

After putting her blwl in the sink, she and Branchie left the house heading to Prospects Park which was covered in snow seeing Terran kids playing in the snow sledding, building snowmen and having snowball fights which made Casey quiet feeling Branchie tap her shoulder. "I am Groot." she asked.

"I'm okay, I had a feeling the park would be crowded, with it being a snow day."Casey told her. Despite being a talking raccoon-kit with super-powers, Casey was friendky only she was shy and found it hard to talk to other kids which was why she had Branchie, she was her emotional support Groot which Rocket had given Casey sensing she had trouble making friends andshe went everywhere with Casey like right now which was helping the female-kit relaxmaming up her mind

"Let's go to a quiter part of the park." she told her seeing Branchie agreeing finding a quieter part where they could play in the snow and nobody would bother them giggling as they were throwing snowballs, along with making snow-angels and building a snow fort high-giving. Then Branchie saw a snow-covered hill wanting to sled, only Casey realised she hadn't brought her sled but had an idea. "I can be the sled, come on." she made them excited climbing up the hill with Casey lying on her tummy and Branchie on her back.

"Woo-hooooo, this is awesome." Casey yelled, sledding down fast, landing in a snowbank giggling

"I am Groot, I am Groot." Branchie asked excitedky seeing Casey agreeing.

Rocket was alittle anxious as it was early evening and both Branchie and Casey weren't home yet, about to go out looking for them, hearing the front-door opening seeing them there, hugging them noticing they were soaked to the bone.

"Did you two go snow-diving." he asked. "Nope, we had snow fun, plus I was the sled which is why we're covered in snow." Casey told him making Rocket smileand concerned in case Branchie and Vasey got sick. "Tellyou what, I'm gonna make some hot cocoa with marshmallows,. You and Branchie go change and then you can have some." he said.

"Okay, Rockie." Casey replied.

They went upstairs to their room, and Casey was taking off her dripping wet clothes putting them in her laundry hamper knowing Rocket appreciated when she did this, knowing laundry returned faster when this happened putting on her favourite warm pyjamas and Branchie had her pyjama hoodie on.

"Okay, now for hot cocoa." Casey declared as Branchie nodded. Rocket was relieved they were in pyjamas knowing after playing in the snow, both female youngsters were feeling cosy, putting three mugs of hot cocoa with marshmallows on the kitchen table seeing them join him.

"So, how was your day." he asked them. Branchie and Casey were telling him about their snow fun, making him chuckle as Casey was tellin him. "I am Groot." Branchie asked him seeing Casey nod.

"Yeah, what're we having for dinner.l " she asked. making them making

"Let's order takeout, as I don't feel like cooking." Rocket said making them grin. When they'd been out of the house, Rocket had been thinking about maybe letting Casey try school oly it would be too much for her with bells going off, kids stampeding the halls soknew she might not like itso wasn't pushing her and would wait, until she was reasy to go. What Casey didn't her big bro was a mutant and she was one too which explained her powers l right now she and Branchie were in their room playing when the power went out "Don't worry Branchie. Rockie will fix it but until then, we can play with flashlights." Casey reassured the female-sapling.

"You guys okay up there, as the power went out." Rocket called from downstairs. "A lil surprised, but we're okay." Casey told him. "I am Groot." Branchie added

"It's okay Branchie, the power will cone back and I'll activate the generator I these situations." he told Branchie activating it.

"Alright, you did it, ohhh man now I'm really hungry, is the food here." Casey cheered which made Rocket chuckle

"Uh-huh, but things should be okay now and hear a happy Branchie." he told her.

"Yep, it's been a long day" she said yawning which Rocket got. "Go take aa power-nap, I'll let you kow when the food comes." he told her seeing her going upstairs without flying which meant she must be exhausted after all the fun she'd had today.
