Meanwhile back at home, Branchie noticed a gift-wrapped box on Casey's bed which had a tag on it with Rocket's paw-writing on it as Casey ripped it open using her lil claws Her eyes widened seeing a suit of purple armour along with colourful wristbands, reading the note deciding to try it on.
"I am Groot, I am Groot." Branchie said excitedly, thinking that Casey looked superheroic but cool right now astounding the female-kit. "Me, a superhero I don't know, but I look cool in only why did Rockie make it for me." Casey wondered.
Branchie shrugged her barky shoulders in response deciding to have some fun which Casey was agreeing with, but only inside the house which was okay runnijg around being kids and loud, so loud they didn't hear Rocket was back. He being curious was heading upstairs and couldn't help but smirk seeing Casey in the armour and wearing the power-bands knowing his idea of makijg it look like a present had worked, that if the female-kit saw it, she wouldn't be able to resist opening it, then trying it on. "Nice look. Raccoon Girl." he said which made Casey jump to the point where she almost put a hole in the ceiling.
"How do you know the hero name I gave myself, also why did you make me armour." she said.
"Ms Stripes told me as she knew that, but kept it to herself and notthe other kits. I made you The armour and power-bands to ease you… into trying school." he said. Branchie and Casey exchanged a stunned lookathis words because Casey thought he'd let her decide when she started school, feelijg her tummy tense up which happened when her anxiety started to bubble up. An anxious look was on her furry face which Rocket could see written over it. He explained about Xavier's and how going there could help her to control her powers like the kids who went there sensing Casey needed some time to think about it
"Okay but we can talk about it later." he said leaving her room. He was making them snacks and hadn't meant to upset Casey but being her legal guardian, he had to decide what was best for her hearing the doorbell ringing, seeing his dad there letting him in, wondering what the heck he was doing here. "I ame to stay for a while buddy, Herbie wascool with it." Rocket Senior told him.
This made Branchie happy, that her best friend was learning about her family knowing her dad and Rocket were good friends and he was busy with Planet Groot so he probably knew she was with Casey and Rocket
Rocket was filling him in on things iluding Casey astounded she was actually his kit sister listening as Rocket Senior explained how he'd brought her to Terra as a baby dropping her off at Ms Stripes'sshelteras Rocket nodded. "We should tell her as she needs to know." he told him
"I guess, but we should do this gently." Rocket Senior said seeing Casey and Branchie come downstairs after Rocket had called her. Herwith Rocket Senior's help explained everything to her, seeing her eyes widening in awe.
"Doess Ms Stripes know about this." she asked.
"Yes as Itold her everything in a note when you were a baby." Rocket Senior toldher. Branchie was happpy that her best friend and sister was learning more about her family knowing her dad and Rocket were good friends but he was probably busy with Planet Groot so he knew she was with Casey and Rocket, they were taking care of her.
You excited aboht starting school, kiddo." Casey heard Rocket asking. It was a few days later and the first morning of school which happened to be Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters for kids like her despite being anxious plus Branchie was in her backpack knowing the female-kit was going to need her. She noticed Casey was wearing hercolourful power-bands which helped her with her powers. "I am Groot." Casey heard her asking.
"I guess so and hope I don't mess up but you're here." she replied seeing Rocket was ready to take her but taking a first day photo as he knew Terran parents did this when their kids started school, seeing Branchie on Casey's shoulder making him chuckle.
