Chapter three
"I will go to my room now and only come down once mum is back and you can bet that I will tell her everything that happened." Ginny interrupted her brother and then left the room and walked up the stairs.
The Conversation with her mum went quicker then she thought, but Ginny was kind of grateful for that. She needed to talk to Sirius or Tonks and see if they had any way that she could talk to Harry. She missed her boyfriend too much to wait for letters from him.
Once it was time for dinner that day, Ginny walked out of her room, sat as far away from Ron as possible and quietly ate half of her dinner.
Her unusual behavior did not go unnoticed by everyone, there two people who noticed the first was Luna. She saw it right away but didn´t say or do anything, because she knew that Ginny would talk to her if she wanted to talk. The second person to notice Ginny´s odd behavior was a certain metamorph by the name of Nymphadora Tonks and she thought something clearly upset Ginny, as soon as we are done with dinner I will go and see if she wants to talk about it.
Not even twenty minutes later dinner was over with and Ginny was ready to walk back to her room and forget the rest of the day. When she was about to walk up the stairs, Tonks walked up to her and asked "I noticed how silent you were at dinner, want to talk about it?"
Knowing that she was one of the two persons who could potentially help her with contacting her boyfriend, Ginny nodded her head and led the way up to her room.
Once the two were seated on Ginny´s bed, Tonks looked at the younger girl and said "Okay why don´t you tell me what´s wrong and then I will see if I can help you out in any way."
Ginny sighed but nodded her head and said "I don´t know how much of it you saw for yourself, but after Ron saw Harry and I kissing he was mad. In fact he was so mad, that he punched him in the face. Hermione was mad at Ron for that and said she would leave. Harry not wanting to stay in the same house as Ron wanted to leave as well, so he left with Hermione. I miss my boyfriend Tonks and I want to be able to see him face to face and talk to him. Tell him that I love him and that it doesn´t matter to me what my brothers think."
Tonks listened to the younger red head with patience as Ginny vented her frustrations and wishes to her. Not wanting to do nothing about the situation an Idea got into the auror´s head and she smiled at Ginny.
Having formed an Idea in her head Tonks looked at Ginny and said "I might have an Idea, that could help both you and Harry, but you have to play along with it to work. Once your mother believes what we tell her, I can get you out of this house and into my own apartment. Once you are there I will pick up Harry from the Granger´s go to Gringotts with him and then bring him to my apartment as well. After the two of you settled in, I will go and spend my time with Remus while you two, will have a space of your own. How does that sound?"
"That sounds great to me, just one question that I have. Why Gringotts?" Ginny replied while looking towards her window.
"That´s easy to answer, because I believe that no one told him beforehand that he can get emancipated now, since he is the last of his house and now 15 years old. Once the signs the right forms on one will be able to tell him where to live his life during the holidays." Tonks answered with a slight smile on her face.
"Alright that makes sense, and if it all works out then I can spend new years with my boyfriend and then travel back to Hogwarts with him." Ginny said also with a small smile on her face.
Tonks looked at Ginny and said "We will work towards that happening, starting now."
/ Scene Break /
While Ginny and Tonks were talking about their plan Harry and Hermione sat in her room and talked about different things.
Harry looked at his best friend and said "You know you didn´t have to put your relationship on hold because of me Mione. I just want you to be happy."
"Harry as much as I did it for you, I also did it for myself. If Ron can´t keep his promises to me, then how can I really trust him? The answer is I can´t and if I can´t trust him then I don´t know how we can be together." Hermione replied while wiping a tear from her face.
"So you really want to break up with him?" Harry asked wanting to make sure that he understood her correctly.
Hermione sighed and rested her head on Harry´s shoulder "I don´t know if I want that, all I know is that after what happened earlier I couldn´t stay with him. Maybe if he behaves himself during the train-ride back to Hogwarts, apologizes to me and you and doesn´t bother you and Ginny then I will give him another chance. But not before that happened.
"Reasonable enough I guess, even tho I think my friendship with Ron is over now. But enough about that, let´s talk about something more cheerful." Harry said to his best friend.
Hermione was just about to answer to that when they both heard a knock on the door to Hermione´s room. "Harry, Hermione there is someone here that wants to talk to you two." cane the voice of Hermione´s mother through the door.
"We are coming downstairs in a second mum!" Hermione answered, pocketed her wand and then waited for Harry to do the same. A few seconds later the two teens left the room and walked down the stairs.
Standing behind her mother Hermione said "Okay mum you can open the door now." Mrs Granger did just that and opened the front door again. There stood one face they were both familiar with and she had a smile on her face. "Hello Harry, hello Hermione."
"Tonks not that we are not happy to see you, but why are you here?" Harry asked the obvious question on everybody's mind. "I am here because of you actually, but we should talk inside about that." The auror replied.
"Alright come inside then" Hermione said and let the metamorph into the house. Once everyone was seated inside the living room Tonks looked at Harry and Hermione and said "Now that we are all sitting here, I can say why I am here. I am here Harry because Ginny misses you, feels bad for what happens and wants to celebrate the new year with you. She knows however that you don´t want to share a room with Ron any longer, so I made up a plan." After saying that she proceeded to explain what she planned to everyone in the room.
Harry agreed to the plan and after a short visit to Gringotts where he signed the right forms to be emancipated he and Tonks apparated to her apartment. Once inside the apartment Harry saw Ginny sitting there already and walked towards her, Ginny saw her boyfriend approaching and got up from the couch to meet him. Her arms wrapped around his neck, as his arms wrapped around her waist.
As Harry looked into his girlfriends eyes, he smiled at her and said "Hey Gin I missed you." "I missed you too, and I am sorry for what my brother did." Ginny replied not breaking their eye-contact.
"You don´t have to sorry Gin, but please let´s not talk about him for now. Just kiss me please." Harry said and gave his girlfriend a small smile.
"That I can do." Ginny said and then proceeded to do just that and kiss her boyfriend passionately.
Tonks watched the two of them for a moment and then said "Okay if you two lovebirds are done snogging for the moment, I have a few words to say to you before I leave you alone for the next few days."
Hearing what Tonks said Harry and Ginny pulled away from their kiss and looked at their mutual friend. "Okay we are listening" Harry said as he wrapped one arm around Ginny´s waist while she rested her head on his shoulder.
Seeing that she got their attention the young auror smiled at them for a brief moment and then said "I trust you two to leave the apartment standing and clean up after yourself. Have fun just don´t make Molly a grandmother yet or she will have my head. See you in a few days when I go with you to Kings Cross." After she said what she needed to say Tonks smiled one more time at Harry and Ginny before she used the floo to stay with her boyfriend for the next few days.
/Scene Break /
The next two weeks were a blur for Harry and Ginny as they enjoyed their time alone to really build a foundation to their new relationship. They also talked about all the things that Harry learned from the Goblins at Gringotts, about the friendships that they valued and about school in general. Before either of them realized it, it was time to board the train and return to Hogwarts.
"Are you ready for the school to know about us?" Harry asked his girlfriend as they waited for Tonks to show up, so that they could apparate to Kings Cross.
"Yes I am ready babe, I don´t really care what others think of me. As long as I know that you are happy with me, I am happy as well." Ginny said and embraced her boyfriend once more.
The two of them were still kissing by the time Tonks was in the room with them. "I don´t want to interrupt you lovebirds but we need to get going if you want to catch the train.
After the he pulled away from Ginny, Harry looked at Tonks and responded with "Alright we should go then, we are all packed and were just waiting for you to be ready."
Not even twenty minutes later, Harry and Ginny said their goodbyes to Tonks and boarded the train. At first they wanted to wait for the rest of Ginny´s family, but as usual the Weasley´s would probably arrive at the last minute.
Inside the train Harry and Ginny found a compartment and sat down. They started talking about how the rest of this year would go, when their compartment door opened and Hermione walked in with Ron behind her.
Harry and Ginny stopped their conversation to look at the two of them. Hermione smiled at them, said hi to both of them and then hugged them. Ron on the other hand stayed silent and just sat down next to Hermione.
Ginny looked at Hermione and asked "Did you two make up?" Looking back at her redheaded friend Hermione said "That depends on what happens in here from now on, I told Ron if he apologizes to you two, then I will give him another chance to be with me."
Ron not wanting Hermione to really break up with him, sat up straight in his place and then said "Look I still don´t really like the fact that you two are dating, but if you can mange not to make out in front of me. Then I will come to terms with it given time. I am sorry I punched you Harry, and I am sorry for upsetting you Ginny."
"Thank you for the apology Ron, and we will try not to show too much affection towards each other in front of you, but can´t keep us from showing each other that we are in love with the other one." Ginny replied and to make her point she got up from her place and sat down on Harry´s lap and began to kiss him.
Just seeing them kissing like that made Ron mad again, but he tried to stay calm and just quietly walked out of the compartment.
Hermione saw Ron walking out and thought about walking after him, but decided to stay, if he wanted to be with her and he just had to come back and sit down next to her. That was nothing too hard.
After about then minutes of waiting the moment came and Ron walked back into the compartment.
Seeing the look on Hermione´s face Harry and Ginny left the compartment so that their friend could have some privacy. Hermione gave them a smile of gratitude as they walked out.
The two couples saw each other again just after they left the Hogwarts express and sat down in one of the carriages together. Now the Castle was only a few minutes away. All four of them had one thought in common and was what is going to happen in the next few month.
