Nightfall had finally arrived and an incredibly stuffed and drunk Straw Hat crew came stumbling into the inn to turn in for the night. You were not drunk however as you didn't like the taste of alcohol so gave yours to Zoro; which he gladly took and downed in a matter of minutes. You were very surprised by what alcohol can do to humans.

Shortly after arriving back in the room, Usopp found the desk with a pen and paper and decided it was time to write Kaya a letter. You went through your clothes and perfume oils and smiled at your new things. You turned to look at Usopp who was busy writing a letter.

"What are you doing?" You asked him, peering over his shoulder.

Usopp looks up at you and smiles. "Oh, this? I'm writing a letter to Kaya."

"Who is that?"

"His girlfriend." Zoro said.

"She's not— I mean… she's my best friend." Usopp said.

"Except she kissed you, that means you two are lovers." Zoro said.

Sanji and Luffy snicker.

Usopp turned to Zoro. "Does it, now? Because last time I checked Sanji said to you that platonic kissing is possible! And as far as I am concerned, friends can kiss!" He argued back.

"You heard that?!" Zoro asked.

Sanji just kept his mouth shut for now.

"Lovers?" You ask. "So is Kaya your mate?"

Usopp began coughing because he choked on his own saliva. "She's not… my mate… Y/N!" He said in between coughs.

You tilt your head in confusion.

"I mean… I like her and I'm pretty sure she likes me back… but in terms of… that? Probably not." Usopp said.

"Oh… I see. Humans are so strange… I keep learning different things and it's all so much…" you explain.

"Well… Sirens don't seem all that bad." Luffy said.

"My kind are not gentle creatures. They are killers." You said.

"But you're different. I'm sure you had so many males wanting to mate with you!" Sanji said with a smile.

"No… I never had one." You said, getting a bit sad.

Everyone looks at you. "So… no mate waiting for you?" Nami asked.

"No… the only reason we have mates is to reproduce and nothing else. We're a completely different breed from mermaids, who can feel love. I always watch mermaids dance around with their pod and I always thought of how much better off I would have been with them… but I'm not a mermaid." You explain.

"Wow… Sirens don't seem to have any emotions do they?" Luffy asked.

You lower your head. "We do what we can to survive. I mean… look how frail I look… I would have been lucky to have 1 meal. We use our songs to lure humans because they would all be able to eat." You said.

Everyone was really coming to grips on how hard Sirens had it on survival.

"Well, Good riddance." Zoro said and looked over at you. "You should forget about your old life under the sea. Because you're with us now. And we're all going to make sure your new life on land is a hell of a lot better than your life down there." He said to you and gave you a head pat.

Luffy smiled. "Zoro is right, Y/N! We're your new Pod! And we'll love you and take care of you. No matter where you are or what time, day or night." Luffy said with a smile.

"My… new pod? You're really willing to have me stay with you?"

"We said so last night. You're part of our crew! And we'll be your new pod." Luffy said and hugged you tight.

You smiled a little and hugged him back.

Usopp smiled and went back to writing his letter.

Soon the crew turns in for the night and the drunken pirates are knocked out cold on all their beds. However, you remained awake. The moonlight shone brightly through the window and you got out of bed to look out and saw the sea on the horizon. You frowned as you saw the water glistening under the moonlight.

You look around and grab your new shoes and put them on quietly. Once you got them on you began to sneak out to go to the sea. However, someone on the crew was a light sleeper, no matter how drunk he was. He opened his eyes and noticed you left. He let out a sigh and got up to go after you, making sure to bring his swords with him.

You ran to the docks and looked down into the water. It was pitch black down there and you only saw your reflection on the surface. As you sat down on the docks you began to think about the events that happened today. You had your first bath, you have new clothes, you have new perfume oils, you have a new pod, a family. You began to wonder if life on land really is better for you. You wonder if your old pod did you a favor by banishing you.

Zoro caught up to you and saw you sitting on the edge of the docks, watching the sea under the bright moonlight. He stares at you for a moment before walking up to join you. "Hey, there you are." He said.

You turned around and saw Zoro's handsome face under the glistening light of the moon and you were mesmerized by it. His skin practically glowed. "Zoro…" you said.

"May I sit with you?" He asked.

"Yes." You reply and he joins you hanging his feet above the water like you were.

"The sea sure has a completely different feeling at night, huh?" He asked.

"Yeah. You should see it under it. Sometimes I would sneak out at night just dancing under the moonlight and for a while, I would forget that I was a siren, but rather, a mermaid who was just happy to be alive and free." You said.

"I wish I could see it. You, dancing under water, with your fish tail. It probably looked magical, you probably looked so beautiful." He said and he turned to look at you.

You shook your head. Sirens… are not beautiful. We are pale, our eyes are milky white, our hair mangled and stringy, and our teeth… well I don't think you wanna know what my teeth used to look like." You explain. "Mermaids were always the beautiful ones. I envied them every day." You said.

"Even if you did, you look beautiful as a human." He said to you.

You look at him and you feel your face heat up. You were blushing.

Zoro looked down at your lips, they were no longer dry and crusty. He leaned in and you two shared a kiss under the moonlight.

Zoro pulls away after a moment and he stands up. "We should head back. We're getting all our supplies and heading out tomorrow." He said and held his hand out for you to take. You nod and take his hand and he helps you up.

The entire next morning was spent gathering things for the next voyage. You still didn't really know what this One Piece was that Luffy talked about but all you knew was that he was going to be King of the Pirates if he found it. You wanted to help out any way you could and began to wonder why no one was able to find it yet. You guessed it was probably in the bottom of the ocean or something and that's why no one was able to find it.

Before you all left, Usopp sealed his letter and sent it out to Kaya.

~A Few Days later; with Kaya~

Kaya was sipping tea as she was relaxing in her big mansion and the mail was delivered to her front door. She smiled as she saw Usopp's letter. "Oh Usopp!" She said and went to pick it up and used a letter opener in her room and sat down by her window to read it.

"My Dearest Kaya,

So many things have happened these past few weeks since I last wrote to you. We got ourselves another crew member!"

Kaya smiled when she read that.

"She's a banished Siren… but her powers are kind of strange. I thought anyone who hears her song would be affected. But she can target whoever she wants and she can enchant them! So I haven't been under her spell! Luckily, that won't happen! As I am the Great Captain Usopp and no Siren can take me away from your loving gaze!"

"Oh Usopp!" Kaya said as her heart raced quicker with every word she read. She reads the rest of the letter.

"But so far, no enemies have targeted us. Luffy's bounty is so high, I figured everyone would be after us. But all has been peaceful so far. I will write again as soon as something more exciting happens.

"Oh, Usopp!" Kaya said with a smile and clutched the letter to her chest.
