I don't own Yu-Gi-Oh. I can't make that obvious enough.

(Tokonosu City Japan, Tokonosu Mall - 8 PM)

"Bonz get your scrawny ass back here so I can pound it!" Rex called after his ghoulish friend.

"With the way you phrased that I'm not gonna stop!" Bonz laughed as he ran from the dino duelist. "You ought to go back and remake your deck with those three insect cards you tossed!"

"Never in my life will I ever play an insect card! Keep running bud you'll just die tired!"

"I got more stamina than you, gym class saw that with our-" Bonz was interrupted when he ran into another person. That was what he deserved for turning his head to taunt Rex, but both him and the other figure went crashing onto the floor.

"Oh crap!" Skidding to a halt, Rex saw the nasty collision. The person he hit was carrying nachos and slushies, and now all that was on the guy himself and the floor. "Serenity is going to chew our ears off. Easy Rex, damage control now, get chewed out later."

He approached Bonz first and saw the bewildered look on his face. "Easy there bud, I got this." He said before turning his attention towards the other guy. "Hey pal, sorry about that. My buddy and I were horsing around and things got out of hand. You okay?"

"Does it look like I'm okay?" The male figure got onto his knees and slowly stood up to glare at the both of them.

"Aw shit. Tsunoda, of all the fucking people." Rex openly cursed the guy.

Tsunoda was around the same age as them with a muscular build from being on the track and field team. He had brown and yellow dyed hair and brown eyes that were narrowed in anger at the both of them. Attire-wise he wore a pair of black pants, white shoes, and an open orange buttoned up shirt that had red flame designs on the sleeves and the bottom of it. Underneath that was a white sleeveless shirt, but it and his flame shirt were ruined by the nachos and slushies spilled onto it.

"Fucking hell Tsunoda. I can't believe you got bowled over by that corpse fucking faggot."

"And Miura, there goes the neighborhood." Bonz said with an uncharacteristic snarl.

Approaching the group was a teenager with messy brown hair and eyes. He was wearing a red-orange shirt, a black hoodie, blue jeans and black shoes. He glared at the two of them along with Tsunoda.

"Don't fucking rub it in, this little bitch ruined my best shirt and wasted our food." Wasting no time Tsunoda grabbed Bonz by the scruff of his shirt and pulled him close. "I think I'm owed some reparation. One-hundred thousand yen ought to cover my cleaning bill, our food and me not sending you to the morgue!"

"Back off!" Bonz shoved himself off Tsunoda. That stunned him, after all Bonz was not exactly known for being assertive, he was always passive and took his lumps. That pissed him off!

"Oh it looks like the corpse fucker stole a backbone. Aren't you so special?" Tsunoda spat in disgust.

Miura laughed. "It seems our absence has been missed. That'll change come Monday of course."

"You two losers are coming back to Fujimi Academy?" Rex honestly looked like he wanted to vomit. "I thought you were expelled. Damien caught you two smoking in the locker room on the second day of school!"

Miuea's face twisted into a vindictive smirk. "We managed to get that reduced to a suspension. Shido-sensei put in a good word for us and…well, you know how he likes to get his way."

"But enough about that, come here you little bitch. Hand over that money right now and I won't put you into the ground!" Tsunoda threatened Bonz again.

"I think you have caused enough of a commotion." Seth approached the scene with a passive gaze. Unlike the rest of the people in the arcade who were shying away from the confrontation, he walked right into it.

"Who the fuck are you?" Miuea demanded.

"Someone who knows more than one word besides fuck." Seth replied. He felt his Shadow Pendant humming under his shirt, these two were bad news. Unlike Damien who was twisted from an event in his past, these two were simply rotten to the core. He had to tread carefully with them.

"That doesn't answer my question bitch! Who the fuck are you?"

"Seth Armstrong, transfer student, and friend of these two." He gestured towards Bonz and Rex. "Now my friends have caused you a bit of trouble, I'm sure they feel bad about it. How about we all get you some new nachos and slushies, I'll even chip in for the dry cleaning you're going to need. There is no need to escalate this any further."

"That's not going to be enough to cover it. Now unless you're willing to fork over a hundred thousand yen I suggest you fuck off before I make you fuck off!" Tsunoda threatened him.

Six-hundred and eighty US dollars in damages? That was definitely extortion, and so the kiddie gloves were going to come off. He honestly hoped these assholes enjoyed hospital food.

"I got a better idea." Rex pointed at the both of them, stopping Seth from proceeding with his train of thought. "We duel for it. If we win you guys get nothing and screw off. But you win, we'll pay you that amount."

"Rex, are you crazy? We haven't used our decks in years!" Bonz gasped.

"And what makes you think we are even duelists?" Miuea said.

Rex gave the two of them a flat stare, "Because nearly everyone is a duelist. You could throw a shoe into this crowd of people, and I guarantee they'll have a deck on them."

"I'm not throwing my shoe into a crowd of people to make a point." Seth remarked.

"Not the point man, everyone who is a duelist raise your hands!" To no one's surprise nearly all the onlookers raised their hands. The dino duelist smirked and cracked his knuckles. "So don't bullshit me, pull out your decks and face us you cowards!"

Miuea scoffed. "Fine you called our bluff, we are duelists. And we will accept the terms of this duel…for now."

"Oh no, no, no none of that for now bullshit." Seth chided him. "You either take the terms or you walk away…" He smirked and decided to egg them on, this would do Rex and Bonz some good. "And look like a bunch of pussies afterwards. I'm sure that will affect both your reputations."

Tsunoda glared at the dual-haired freak with bloody murder, he would remember this. No one treated him like this. "Fine, but on the condition this becomes a tag team duel."

"Bring it on!" Rex immediately accepted the terms. "Let's head to the dueling arena. Some old school arenas should still be available."

The crowd of onlookers quickly dispersed. While it was not uncommon for a duel to take place over an argument, what was uncommon was one of the OG duelists from back in the day coming out of retirement and picking a fight. The results of this quickly upcoming duel was mixed to say the least.

"Raptor's back? Heh, I honestly thought he died with his dino's."

"Raptor and that ghoul kid are going to get wiped out."

"I dunno, he was one of the best back in the day."

"And now he's a hasbeen. He'll get one-shotted and break down crying."

Seth heard it all and knew that Rex had a long way to go before his reputation rose from the gutter. He only hoped that this first duel would go a long way in bringing him back from the edge of extinction.

"Hey, what's going on?" Serenity saw Seth standing near a mess and a crowd of people hurrying to some other part of the mall. There was no sign of Bonz or Rex and an uncomfortable feeling began to build up in her stomach. "Oh no, did Rex and Bonz get kicked out of the mall?"

"Nope. They ran into someone who doesn't know how to take a chill pill, and wound up challenging him and a friend of his to a tag team duel."

"It was going to happen sooner or later." Serenity sighed. She wasn't mad, she was just disappointed. "Who are they dueling against?"

"Two jerks." Seth didn't mince words, he really didn't like those two. "Miuena and Tsunoda, I overheard that they go to our school."

"Oh no, not those two."

Seeing that it looked like Serenity got punched in the stomach and forced to drink something sour, Seth knew that they were indeed bad news. "Are they really that bad?"

"Bad does not describe them. While Damien was a tyrant when it came to enforcing the rules, those two did whatever they wanted. They would get in trouble, expelled and reduced to it being a suspension and come back. It is a vicious cycle with the two of them."

"Huh, I thought the principal and school board made sure that didn't happen."

"Usually when someone is expelled they stay expelled until next year." Serenity explained. "But we have this one teacher…Shido-sensei who not only plays favorites, but is…" She shivered, it was so violent that Seth thought she would vibrate through the floor. It wasn't until he placed a hand on her shoulder did she calm down. "Sorry…he's just not a good person. Especially since his dad is a powerful figure in the Japanese government. All he needs to do is make one phone call and almost anything can happen."

"That is disgusting." Seth had to reign in his temper, people like that really ticked him off. "And those two are his lap dogs for whatever reason. Perhaps he sees something in them to further a goal or whatever. Listen, let's deal with this later, right now Bonz and Rex need our support."

"Yeah, I…yeah! We need to cheer them on." Serenity looked at the hand on her shoulder. "Um, I'm okay now, you can let go."

"Oh! Sorry." Seth quickly removed his hand and had an embarrassed blush on his cheeks. "I didn't mean to invade your personal space. I just…uh, well…"

"I understand, it's a sweet gesture. Thank you." Serenity gave him a sweet smile. "You might as well follow me, I know where the arena is."

"And where do you…" Seth trailed off already knowing the answer to his question. "Rex?"

"Rex." She simply said.

The two shared a chuckle together.

(Tokonosu City Japan, Tokonosu Mall - 8:15 PM)

By the time Seth and Serenity arrived at the duel arena there was already a crowd of people watching the duel being set up. Rex and Bonz were on one side while Tsunoda and Miuena were on the other.

"Alright you jerks. We're not going to do any coin flipping, here's how the turns are going to go. I'll go first." Rex pointed towards himself and then pointed towards Tsunoda. "Then you, then Bonz and finally your asshole partner. We share eight thousand life points and use our partner's field and graveyard. Got it?"

"Crystal clear, be prepared to pay up and eat dirt you reject!" Tsunoda slapped his deck onto the arena surface.

"And prepare to crawl back into your grave corpse fucker!" Miuena taunted Bonz.

"You just shut up and duel." Bonz swallowed the lump in his throat and readied himself.

"Duel!"

Rex and Bonz: 8000

Tsunoda and Miuena: 8000

"My draw!" Rex announced, and for the first time in years he drew from his deck after drawing his first five cards. It was such a sweet feeling. "Heh, not bad. First I play Black Stego (ATK/1200, DEF/2000) in attack mode!"

Emerging in his side of the field and roaring to life was a green scaled stegosaurus with red upright kite-shaped plates on his back, waving his spiked tail in a threatening manner.

"After that I set a card facedown and end my turn! Aw yeah this feels so good!" Rex sighed after playing his cards.

"Fucking freak. You're jizzing yourself over playing two cards, how pathetic can you be?" Tsunoda scoffed as he drew his sixth card.

"Considering I haven't dueled in years, I say it feels pretty damn good you bastard!"

"Calm yourself Rex! Everyone is here to see a duel not a petty squabble where bad words are being exchanged." Seth admonished his friend.

Rex at least had the decency to look embarrassed, he waved at the crowd of people watching them with an apologetic look. "Sorry, my bad. I'll try better."

"Loser." Tsunoda said before playing his card. "I play the spell card Double Summon! This lets me conduct two normal summons/sets this turn instead of one! And I use this to play two monsters of mine Solar Flare Dragon (ATK/1500, DEF/1000) both in attack mode!"

Materializing on the field two seconds later, a pair of dragons made entirely of fire appeared and hissed at Bonz and Rex.

"I place a card face down and end my turn." Tsunoda smirked before the dragons opened their maws and fired out dual fireballs that hit both Bonz and Rex, sharply sending their life points down by a thousand!

Rex and Bonz: 7000

Tsunoda and Miuena: 8000

"And with that their effects activate. At the end of my end phase they inflict five-hundred points of direct damage to my opponent. And if there is another pyro monster on the field they can't be attacked." Their opponent smirked. "You can't do shit with them both on the field!"

"That's not a bad play at all." Seth said on the sidelines.

"Because it's the same monster, and pyro type, Rex and Bonz are at a standstill?" Serenity asked.

"Well, look at you seeing their strategy." Seth said with a playful smirk. "You're right though, they can't attack and will get burn damage unless something is done."

"It's my turn." Bonz drew his sixth card, his ghoulish face tightened making him look even more frightful. "That strategy isn't going to last. I play Tribute to the Doomed! All I have to do is discard one card and target one monster on the field to destroy it, so say goodbye to your dragon on the left!"

Bandages shot out of the spell card Bonz played and it wrapped the Solar Flare Dragon until it resembled a mummy, it tightened around it before being destroyed.

"You may have taken out my dragon but you activated my trap, go Backfire!" Tsunoda flipped the trap card on his side of the field. "This continuous trap can only be activated when a fire monster is destroyed on my side of the field. And for every fire monster that is destroyed you lose five-hundred life points!"

A cruel smirk formed on his face when a tower of fire erupted from the trap card. Bonz was hit by it and the ghoulish teen frowned after the flames dissipated.

Rex and Bonz: 6500

Tsunoda and Miuena: 8000

"Big deal. I set a monster in face-down defense mode and end my turn." Bonz removed a card from his hand and glared at his opponents.

"It'll be a bigger deal when we mop the floor with you. I draw now!" Miuena drew from his deck. "And I'm going to show you my superior might! I summon Dark Blade (ATK/1800, DEF/1500) in attack mode!"

"Hold on, Seth isn't that your card?" Serenity asked as the familiar black knight with dual blades appeared on the field.

"Dark Blade isn't a rare card, it's kind of a common warrior card that anyone can use." Seth replied with a light shrug of his shoulders. "Granted I am not excited to see a jerk like him using it."

"Now Dark Blade attack Black Stego and send it to the graveyard with Dark Blade Slash!"

"You moron, when Black Stego is selected for an attack while in face-up attack mode I can switch it to defense mode!" Rex smirked and switched his monster into defense mode. Dark Blade's swords impacted off the dinosaur's hide and flew backwards.

Rex and Bonz: 6500

Tsunoda and Miuena: 7800

"You are a fucking idiot! I wanted us to steamroll them! They should have never damaged us you fucking-"

"Oi! Enough with the swearing, get back to dueling!" Seth barked at them.

"I'll show you…" Tsunoda glared at the American.

"Fine, I'll end my turn. I honestly got nothing else." Miuena scoffed.

"And now it's onto me, draw!" Rex drew from his deck, giving him five cards once more. "Well, well, talk about a blast from the past. First I play Balloon Lizard (ATK/500, DEF/1900) in attack mode!"

Appearing on the field right next to Black Stego was a green-skinned lizard that resembled a balloon. It honestly looked miserable and ready to pop.

"But he won't be around for long regarding that effect of his, because I immediately play the spell card Ultra Evolution Pill! With this I can tribute one reptile monster on my side of the field to special summon one dinosaur monster from my hand. And I choose Black Tyranno (ATK/2600, DEF/1800)!"

The poor Balloon Lizard was given mercy when he swallowed a red and blue pill that appeared on the field and he began to evolve. In a bright white light he grew and turned into a pitch black Tyrannosaurus Rex that had bone spikes on his elbows and shoulders. His red eyes glared at the opposing players like they were pieces of meat waiting to be devoured.

"Bonz, we're going to get some damage here. But I don't want him to summon another pyro monster and keep that dragon safe." Rex said to his partner.

"Go and do it. You'll hurt him more anyways." The ghoulish duelist replied.

"Thanks for understanding. Black Tyranno attack his Solar Flare Dragon now with Jurassic Carnage!"

Letting out a terrifying roar, Black Tyranno charged at the remaining pyro monster on the field. He clamped his jaws around Solar Flare Dragon and devoured it, knocking their opponent's life points down by one thousand and eleven-hundred points.

But the cost of the attack was brutal, Rex was hit by a fireball that made him flinch, it dropped their life points down by five-hundred points.

Rex and Bonz: 6000

Tsunoda and Miuena: 6700

"With that I end my turn. Looks like you're not doing so hot now, eh?" Rex mockingly asked.

"Ugh, seriously Rex, a heat pun?" Seth pinched the bridge of his nose in disappointment.

"Yeah, that was lame. But not a bad play. He has a huge beatstick on the field." A random observer remarked.

"I know right?" Seth said with a smile on his face.

"So does that mean Rex and Bonz have a good chance of winning?" Serenity asked.

"Their chances aren't a hundred percent. But They're pretty good especially if those two try to play defensive."

"Defensive?" Serenity placed a finger on her chin in thought. "Oh right! I recall watching a video online. Black Tyranno allows you to attack your opponent directly if they have nothing but monsters in defense mode."

"Give the girl a cookie. That's right, if they can get rid of that Backfire trap card it should be easy pickings." Seth replied.

"You think that was a good play? Well, you're wrong. Here I go!" Drawing from his deck Tsunoda looked at his card. "I play Pot of Greed; this allows me to draw two cards from my deck." After drawing two more cards he smirked. "Much better, I'm going to make you both wish you never fucked with me! I sacrifice two of your monsters to summon one of the most powerful monsters in my deck! Go Lava Golem (ATK/3000, DEF/2500)!"

To the surprise of the audience two molten hands grabbed Black Tyranno and Black Stego and sent them to the graveyard, and emerging on Rex's side of the field was a monster completely covered in magma with two iron spikes in its back that held a cage that Rex was soon encased it.

"Oi, what gives?" Rex demanded. "How the hell can you sacrifice my monsters to summon this thing?"

"That is Lava Golem's special ability. To summon it I must tribute two monsters my opponent has, and unlucky for you, the two monsters were just the ones needed to summon it." Tsunoda gave Rex a cruel smile. "You shouldn't be too mad though, I can't summon or set a monster after summoning it, and you get a very powerful monster."

"And what's the catch? Everyone knows that nothing comes for free when it comes to an effect like this." Bonz demanded.

"Ah, yes, for such a powerful monster Rex is going to lose a thousand life points during each of my standby phases. I hope you like the taste of lava come my next turn, but for now I set two cards face-down and end my turn." Tsunoda finished his turn by playing a card next to Backfire.

"Then it's my turn." Drawing from his deck Bonz felt sweat pouring from his brow. He looked at Rex who simply looked irritated and swallowed a lump in his throat. "O-okay…here I go. I set this card face-down and another in defense mode. Sorry Rex, that's all I got."

"Is that it? My draw!" Miuena drew from his deck and smirked. "I'm going to summon Axe Raider (ATK/1700, DEF/1150) in attack mode!"

Materializing next to Dark Blade was a muscular barbarian-looking warrior in purple cloth and gold-like armor wielding a double-bladed axe.

"And now I'm going to do something I should have done last turn. Axe Raider attack Bonz's face-down monster on the left!" The barbarian-like warrior let out a battle cry and attacked the face-down card to reveal a skeleton wearing a purple robe before it was cut in half.

"Skull Servant? I can't believe you have such a pathetic card in your deck. Dark Blade attack his remaining monster!" When Dark Blade attacked and sliced through the face-down card to reveal another Skull Servant.

"Two Skull Servants? What the fuck?" Miuena asked.

"Yeah Bonz, what the fuck?" Even Rex looked at his dueling partner with a confused look on his face.

Serenity looked at Seth with a confused look on her face. "What are they talking about?"

"Skull Servant is a very weak zombie monster with three-hundred attack and two-hundred defense points." He replied. "It's a vanilla monster that first came out when the game became popular, it's very weak too, and unpopular as a zombie card."

"Why would Bonz have two of them then?" Serenity asked.

"I get the feeling he has three of them." Seth replied with a thoughtful look on his face. "Hmm…he probably has something I'm not seeing."

After Miuena ended his turn, it was Rex who drew from his deck, leaving him with three cards. "If you think I'm going to let you use your Lava Golem's effect then think again! I sacrifice-"

"Not so fast!" Tsunoda roared. "I reveal my trap card Ring of Destruction, this trap card allows me to target one face up monster my opponent controls with attack points less or equal to your life points. This trap will blow it up and damage both our life points."

As he said that, an iron collar with eight large grenades materialized and soon clamped around Lava Golem's neck.

"But that's three thousand, it will still make us near even!" Rex said.

"Nope, I took a page out of Seto Kaiba's book and managed to get this card. Go Ring of Protection!" He activated his second face-down card. An iron collar with four green shields appeared on the field and began spinning. "When a trap card that would damage my life points is activated, this card will protect my life points and reduce that damage to a big fat zero!"

"Oh…crap." Rex's words were soon lost when Lava Golem exploded, and it took out a chunk of their life points.

Rex and Bonz: 3000

Tsunoda and Miuena: 6700

"My only regret is that Backfire can't damage you even further. I have to control a fire monster for it to happen." Tsunoda said with a careless shrug.

"Well I may not be able to tribute a monster, but I got one card that I can still be played. Everyone welcome back the one and only Two-Headed King Rex (ATK/1600, DEF/1200)!"

After nearly four years stuck inside his deck, his winged purple scaled, two-headed dinosaur appeared with a roar. Its yellow eyes glared at its first opponents in years, its claws twitching with anticipation.

"Holy crap. Rex, you still have that card?" Bonz turned towards his partner with surprise.

"Hell yeah! He was the first card I ever got from a pack, no matter how much I restructure my deck I will always include him!" Rex said, he was absolutely beaming with pride seeing his iconic card from back in the day back on the field.

Seth couldn't help but smile after hearing that. Rex had a deep attachment to that particular monster; he couldn't help but feel a bond that was formed between them. He rubbed his chin in thought as he watched the duel.

"Now my beast go ahead and attack Tsunoda directly with Foot Stomp!"

The crowd cheered. They actually cheered when his iconic monster attacked Tsunoda by literally taking flight and stomping on him.

Rex and Bonz: 3000

Tsunoda and Miuena: 5100

"Aw man that feels so good. Thank you everyone, tell your friends that Rex Raptor is back!"

"You're not back! You're just a washed up hasbeen who's way past his prime with a deck that's outdated and not even worth playing! I draw!" Tsunoda drew from his deck and scowled. "I play this monster in defense mode and end my turn."

"Then it's my turn. Draw!" Bonz drew from his deck and looked at it for several brief seconds. "I play Pot of Greed, and after drawing two cards…" Bonz looked at his two new cards and nodded. "Rex, I'm going to do something. I need you to trust me."

"Go for it Bonz, I trust ya!"

"I play the spell card Card Destruction! With this we discard our entire hands and draw the same number of cards from our decks!" Bonze played the spell card showing a demonic hand tossing away five cards.

"You mother…fuck!" Miuena swore as he discarded his hand and drew five new cards.

"Good enough for me, my hand was junk by now." Rex smirked as he drew two new cards after discarding his hand.

"Heh, you actually helped me corpse boy." Tsunoda discarded his own hand and drew two new cards.

"That's not going to matter, I plan on ending this duel right here right now! Tsunoda you're probably the better duelist between you and your partner, you did more damage to us than the nitwit you're partnered with." Bonz said as he drew three new cards from his deck after discarding his hand.

"Hey!" Miuena protested.

"Shut up, the walking corpse is right. Where are your damn spell and trap cards?" Tsunoda demanded.

"I didn't get any good ones in my hand until now. Stop yelling at me!"

"Well, that doesn't matter, because now I'm going to end you. But first I play Foolish Burial, this spell card allows me to send one monster from my deck to my graveyard. And I choose my very last Skull Servant!"

"Bonz where are you going with this?" Rex asked with some concern.

"You trusted me to do what needed to be done with my spell card earlier, trust me one last time." Bonze shifted through his deck and found the last Skull Servant and put it in the graveyard. "With that my strategy to send you both to an early grave is finally complete!"

"The hell do you mean? All you did was throw away another useless monster." Tsunoda snarled.

"They are not useless; they are something greater together than when they are alone. I'm going to show that right here, right now! I activate my trap card Call of the Haunted!" Revealing the face-down card on his field a tombstone appeared on the field. "This card allows me to special summon one monster from my graveyard in attack mode. I never got a chance to do this during Battle City but today I'm going to do it right here, right now! Come back King of the Skull Servants (ATK/?, DEF/0)!"

A skeletal hand burst from the ground where Call of the Haunted was placed and emerging from the grave was a skeletal being clad in a tattered purple robe. It looked exactly like Skull Servant if only a little taller than it.

"What the hell…that thing has zero attack points!" Tsunoda began to laugh. "What a waste of a turn! You fucking idiot!"

"You had me worried corpse fucker. It seems I was wrong." Miuena seconded.

"Did Bonz actually play a bad card?" Serenity asked. A lot of people seemed to be laughing or looking surprised. But something in her gut was telling her that there was more to this strategy. She just couldn't figure out what it was.

"No, I don't think he did." Seth looked at the King of the Skull Servants. He grinned and raised an arm. "Hey Bonz! That was a good play, go and end this duel buddy!"

"Yeah, go get them, Bonz. I don't know what you're doing but I believe in you!" Serenity immediately followed Seth's lead. She really didn't know what was going on, but she was going to support her friend no matter what.

"Heh, what the hell. Do it buddy. Show everyone what you're made of." Rex encouraged his friend.

"If you all insist." Bonz breathed through his nose. Any anxiety he was feeling was gone, this felt right, this was what he missed as a duelist. He then glared at his opponents, his bullies, and now his prey. "The King of the Skull Servants has a special effect. The original attack of this card is the combined number of "King of the Skull Servants" and "Skull Servant" in my graveyard by one thousand points. And unlucky for you two I have five of them in my graveyard!"

"Whoa, hold on a minute when did you…" Rex paused before running the duel itself over his thoughts. "You discarded one of your King of the Skull Servants when you used Tribute to the Doomed. The other two were discarded from Card Destruction!"

"Heh, bingo. It took longer than I wanted but I now have those five cards in my graveyard and now my monster has five-thousand attack points." Bonz's smile became absolutely creepy when his monster became even stronger than anyone expected.

"Hold it, even if you do attack me, we'll still have a hundred life points left. You won't end us like that!" Tsunoda said.

"Not when I also have this card. I'm glad drew this when I got a new hand. I'm going to use this equip spell card Violet Crystal. This is an old but gold card of mine where I equip this to a zombie monster, and it increases its attack and defense points by three-hundred points."

Everyone watched as the King of the Skull Servants was surrounded by an ominous purple light and its attack points went from 5000 to 5300.

"Oh crap…can we talk about this?" Miuena asked.

"Fuck you! King of the Skull Servants end this duel by attacking Tsunoda directly with Wrath of the Undead King!" Bonz yelled at the top of his lungs.

His monster roared in fury and attacked Tsunoda, his bony claws slashed at his muscular frame and reduced their life points to zero.

Rex and Bonz: 3000

Tsunoda and Miuena: 0

"Are you fucking kidding me!?" Tsunoda exploded in anger, apparently his pyro deck matched his personality. Seth was just ashamed that such a trash person was using quite a decent deck. "Miuena, this is your fault. If you just played some magic or trap cards this wouldn't have happened!"

"I had a brick hand that was filled with monsters. What more do you expect of me you asshole!?" Tsunoda yelled back in anger. "You're the idiot who blew your wad by blowing up your best monster!"

"That's because I made the mistake that you would protect me with a spell or trap you retard!"

"Retard? You-you cocksucking piece of-"

The two of them were soon ignored, it was obvious the audience had long since grown tired of their potty mouths. While they were arguing, the bet apparently forgotten, several members of the crowd approached both Rex and Bonz to congratulate them on a well fought duel.

"Would you look at that? Rex is certainly eating this up." Seth remarked seeing the dino duelist soaking up the praise.

"Bonz is being more humble." Serenity commented watching as the ghoulish-looking teen bashfully talk to a few people.

"Sounds like the two of them." The dual-haired teen laughed. "I think this is just what they needed."

Serenity watched as Rex shook the hand of one of the members of the crowd, he was smiling, it wasn't cocky or arrogant, but genuine. There was a spark in his eyes that she had not seen in a very long time. And Bonz looked comfortable, bashful, but comfortable instead of the nervous wreck he usually was when things got too stressful.

"Seth…"

"Huh, what is it?"

Serenity looked towards him. "I want you guys to teach me how to duel."

(Tokonosu City Japan - 9 PM)

It would be a little while later at a late-night area where people could purchase food and drinks from vending machines and eat at a table did Bonz and Rex receive the news.

The results were as follows:

"No way! That is freaking awesome Serenity!" Rex exclaimed.

"Welcome to the club." Bonz said in a calmer manner.

"Thanks…but I don't exactly know what I'm doing. I mean I kind of got an idea what kind of deck I want but it's sort of limited." Serenity confessed.

"I'm guessing it has something to do with the Slot Machine you pulled?" Seth asked. The look on Serenity's face was priceless, it caused him to chuckle. "You used the bathroom excuse for me to leave. It was kind of obvious what you were going to do."

"And what if I did have to use the bathroom?"

"Then I would be wrong and admit it." Seth replied with a shrug.

"So, what cards did you pull? Maybe we could build a deck around them." Bonz suggested.

"Maybe." Serenity pulled them out from one of her pockets and set them on the table. "What do you think?"

"Sanctuary in the Sky, Warrior of Zera, and The Agent of Creation - Venus." Rex read off the card names with a raised eyebrow. "Huh, it seems you got the beginning stages for a fairy deck." He leaned back and slouched in his chair, letting out a sigh. "Man, I can't help you with that. I don't have any experience with those monsters."

"I'm afraid I have to agree. If they were zombie cards, I could do something, but fairies were never the best monsters." Bonz apologized.

"Does that mean I can't use these cards at all?" Serenity asked.

"Not necessarily." Seth raised a finger to stop anyone from interrupting him. "It's true that fairy monsters were…well garbage when they first came out. Petit Angel and Shining Friendship didn't exactly help their cases either."

"Too cutesy." Rex grumbled with Bonz nodding his head in agreement.

"But that was years ago. And as you recall a lot of new cards have been put out there in recent years, perhaps there is a pack that has what you're looking for." Seth continued. "Hmm, in fact there are a couple of other cards that, while old, can still be used. I know I picked them up when I was going through packs like crazy."

"Then I say we use tomorrow to go and build Serenity a dueling deck! And then after a little bit of practice us four will be an unstoppable dueling force!" Rex cheered with such enthusiasm that it almost hurt Seth to pop his bubble.

Almost was the key word.

"Rex, I think we should focus on you and Bonz as well. You guys won but it's only because your other opponent had a bad starting hand. Your cards are still outdated. May I?" He help out his hand.

Rex didn't hesitate to pull out his deck and had Seth look through it. With each shifting of a card his frown became more pronounced. "Really Rex? You still have Megazowler and Sword Arm of Dragon."

"Hey, they're classics."

"Level six monsters with no special abilities and not even worth the tributes either. I understand Two-Headed King Rex, I would even suggest keeping it. But some of these cards really do need to go. I mean...Tyrant Dragon, really?" He looked at him skeptically.

Rex had the decency to blush, his time in Doma did give him a lot of rare cards. Tyrant Dragon was definitely one of them. "There weren't a great many good dino cards back then. I mean I used to have Serpent Night Dragon and Red-Eyes Black Dragon in my deck during Duelist Kingdom."

"Yeah, and you lost them both." Bonz threw salt on the raw wounds he still suffered.

"Ugh, don't remind me. I'm over Wheeler having it, but Espa Roba cheated and still got my card. The jerk probably sold it too." He then crossed his arms over his chest and pouted. "I still can't believe I didn't get a do over in Battle City. I was cheated damn it!"

"And there is that can of worms again." Bonz sighed. Seth figured that this wasn't the first time this happened.

"Anyways…" Seth cleared his throat and finished looking through the deck. He handed it back to Rex and looked over to Bonz who handed over his deck. He shuffled through it and began nodding. "Well, some of these aren't too bad. I'd take out Pumpking the King of Ghosts and a few others…hmm."

"No need to think about it any further. I need to redo my deck quite a bit. I want to keep the Skull Servants and King of the Skull Servants as well." Bonz took his deck back and looked over it fondly. "Of course, it's not going to be easy."

"It might not be so hard. Seth, remember that game shop we went to?" Serenity asked.

"Genie Hobbies? Hmm…" He rubbed his chin in thought. The place was a bit odd, but he found himself enjoying the new game he bought, it was simple and he planned on bringing in his friends to play it. "Yeah, it could have some packs and cards we need."

"That place? Man, it looks far too weird to hold anything great." Rex said.

"Baa…" Seth imitated the bleating of a sheep.

"Grr…"

"It can't hurt, if it's a bust then there are other places. Come on Rex, we won because we were lucky. I rather not lose because of an outdated deck." Bonz said.

"Fine. We'll do it tomorrow in the afternoon. How about we call it a night and get an early start tomorrow?" Rex suggested.

"Don't you have some homework to complete?" Serenity narrowed her eyes in an accusing tone.

"Whoa! Easy there, I got all my stuff done before this night even started. I promise, just get rid of the glare!" Rex screamed out in mock-terror with Bonz giving his creepy laugh.

Seth couldn't help but laugh along with them. Out of all the places he moved to over his entire life, Japan was definitely his favorite.

Armageddon: Here the third chapter, and man am I ashamed that it took me a bit to finish it. Rex and Bonz didn't exactly have the most fleshed out decks in the series, I literally had to use a combination of things to try and make their decks outdated but still able to win against two decks that are more relevant for the times. I think I did it right...hopefully.

Ahem, next chapter decks are being built! Stay tuned!
