Sasuke ran towards the Book of Ashanti, the pink-haired teenager following closely behind him. The Sword of Kusanagi rattled in its sheath on his waist and his ponytail whipped at his face several times. They jumped from street to street and even on some buildings, wanting to evade the monstrosity that was tailing them. The Mirror Dimension had its perks, one of them being able to jump very long distances without fear of gravity pulling you downwards. The creature let out an ear-splitting scream behind them, signalling that it was close.

Sasuke turned around, forming a set of runes that slashed at the metallic serrated tentacles which were coming their way. He created another rune which caused the disintegrated building nearby to form a cage around the creature. The final rune locked it in place before he turned and headed towards the book. Before he could go any further, a tentacle lashed out and caught him on his thigh. He let out a sharp cry of pain as a burning hot sensation exploded at the mutilated leg. "Sasuke!" the girl gasped in alarm as she turned around to watch the Sorcerer Supreme.

The magician looked at the creature, seeing that it was easily breaking out of his runes. He looked at the girl, dressed in black jeans and a faded maroon jacket with pink long hair tied in a high, loose ponytail and frightened green eyes. He had gotten close to her over the past few weeks when he first encountered her. They had to find the book of Ashanti and all this would be over. They were so close, he could taste victory on his tongue but he knew defeat when he saw it. The pinkette looked back at him, eyes wide and frantic. He looked back at the creature which was almost free before turning to her. "I'm so sorry, but this is the only way," he said as he went through as set of hand signs and stretched out his hand towards her whilst the other hand was occupied with the keeping the beast at bay. She let out a chocked scream as she floated up. "Sasuke no! Please," she cried as she felt was coming. "I don't have another choice. You can't control your powers, if it were to get in the wrong hands then it's all over," he said, head hung low in defeat. "If you take my powers, I'll die!" she added, almost hysterical. "The loss of one life isn't valid in the abacus of the multiverse," he replied as he locked eyes with her one last time. "But I trusted you!"

Sasuke didn't reply as he forced the power out of her, absorbing the white-purple energy into his being. It hurt, even more than the injury on his leg hut he had to persevere. He hadn't meant to betray her but considering the girl couldn't control her powers, he did the only logical thing. If he took her powers with him then they'd die with him. He almost smirked at the irony. They'd both die then.

The creature broke free and latched its tentacles on her arms and legs. "Shit," Sasuke cursed as a diamond-shaped portal opened behind her, drawing her in. Well, at least one of them was staying alive, he thought as he retracted his hands and used the last of his powers to create a rune which cut all of its tentacles, failing to dodge another tentacle which lodged itself into his chest. The last thought he had was apologizing to the girl before he felt himself hauled towards the portal and everything went black.

The dark-haired magician woke with a start, sweating and heartbeat frantic. He wiped a hand at his face, took a few deep breaths before looking at the clock beside him. He had another hour to make it to the wedding and it was more than enough. He took a quick shower and changed into a formal black suit with a black tie and a red rose on the pocket. He had tried his hand at tying the stupid tie manually but finally resorted to using magic. It was easier after all.

Sasuke looked at himself in the mirror, pondering what he should do with his hair. His hair was midnight black and fell over his forehead, covering his eyes slightly and giving him what Kakashi had dubbed as the bad boy look. The back rose up in spikes, they were untameable. He thought the hairstyle fit him perfectly, complementing his eyes which of the same color. He added a bit of gel to make sure his locks didn't get in the way before he let the Sanctum.

He arrived in time, some twenty minutes before the bride would walk down the aisle. He took a seat at the back of the church, his coat drapped over his arm. The man beside him a gave him not-so-subtle look. "I hear she's your ex," he whispered. Sasuke choose to ignore him, staring straight ahead as though he hadn't heard him. "Must be pity, watching your girl get married to another guy when you're still hung up on her." It took all of his restraint not to shove a chidori down the man's throat but Kakashi would be displeased with him and lock away his magic for a greater part of the future.

The chime of bells signified the coming of the bride and everyone stood up. Sasuke watched the blonde take her vows with his doppelganger (of course, he was his doppelganger because they had the same bad boy look, though he was more handsome). After the vows and all that nonsense he wasn't interested in, he found himself at the bar with a glass of champagne in his hand. He wasn't much of a drinker but he needed a good dose of wine if he wanted to stay sane enough to go through with the wedding.

He searched around the room before his eyes landed on the woman he had come all this way for. He finished his glass and walked towards her. The newly wedded woman was laughing with a couple of friends before he cleared his throat, signalling his arrival. She turned around and Sasuke watched with a constricted heart as her ice blue eyes dimmed marginally before retaining their usual cheery glow. "Sasuke, I didn't think you'd come here," she said with a smile. "Of course I'd come. It's your wedding after all," he returned with a smile of his own. "Do you like it? Sai and I put a lot of effort into making this one of the best weddings ever," she spoke as her eyes glittered with affection. "It's great," he replied, even though he was disagreeing with everything about the wedding.

"Ino, I just wanted to tell you that I'm sorry for everything that happened between us, for not being the guy you wanted me to be. And I'm happy for you and Sai, you make a great couple," he said, feeling the air being squeezed out of him as he spoke. "I just wish things could've been different," he added with a sigh. "It's okay Sasuke. You don't have to beat yourself over it," she said as she took his hand. "I tried Sasuke, I really did but I couldn't take it anymore. This whole saving the world thing, it was too much for me. I just wanted to settle down and live a normal life," Ino spoke with a slight crack in her voice. She dabbed at her eyes which were brimming with fresh tears. "I just want to ask. Are you happy Sasuke, as in really happy?" she asked as she locked eyes with him. "Of course I'm happy. As long as you're happy, I'm happy," the reply was forced, practiced and automatic. "Do you want to meet Sai? He's been dying to see you," she asked as she retained her composure. He nodded and the blonde left him to look for her husband.

Sasuke pinched the corners of his eyes, keeping at bay the tears which had threatened to make themself known to the entire world. Despite being the cold, aloof person he usually was, watching the only woman he had loved his entire life, apart from his mother, get married to another man was enough to get the waterworks in show. There was a commotion at the balcony as several guests made their way towards whatever was happening. Sasuke went to the balcony and watched as another monster wrecked havoc in New York.

The creature was an eyeball the size of a military tank with several gross tentacles. He narrowed his eyes as he watched the creature follow a girl who was running away from it. He let out an inaudible groan at having to fight a beast on his ex's wedding. Perhaps that was why she had ended things with him. He handed his glass of champagne to a nearby server and walked over to the balcony, pulling his black cape out of thin air and draping it on his shoulders. He ignored the shocked gasps and clicks of cameras as he flew to the battle below, changing into his usual attire. He arrived to find Kakashi already fighting it, golden chains wrapped around its tentacles as it struggled to break free. The creature raged and went into a frenzied state, tossing Kakashi away like a ragdoll. Sasuke sent his cape to cushion the fall of the Sorcerer Supreme as he rushed to engage with the the beast which making its way to the girl who was running away.

He watched as it gripped a car and sent it flying towards her. He portaled to the girl and drew out the Kusanagi, slicing the car in half. He turned to look at the girl, taking in her pink hair and frightened green eyes. A fragment of his dream in the morning flashed in his mind. "Do I know you?" he asked as he looked at her closely, her green eyes widening in recognition. The moment was lost as the creature slammed a tentacle into his body, sending him flying into a jewelry shop and knocking him unconscious. His cape immediately flew to him and slapped him repeatedly.

Kakashi had recovered and went towards the creature. He created several runes which sliced at the tentacles. The creature ignored him as it headed towards the girl, grabbing the bus in which she was hiding and shaking continuously. She screamed and dropped from the bus which had been high in the air. Kakashi cursed from under his mask as he quickly created a portal beneath her, displacing her at the top of a building. The eyeball searched for her and locked onto its target before gliding up the building.

Sasuke dropped beside Kakashi who had wrapped glowing golden chains around its tentacles and was struggling to pull it back. "I had the situation under control," came the monotone voice as Sasuke wrapped own chains around it. "And it looks like you were winning," the younger magician replied as the duo was hauled up by the creature which was almost reaching its prey.

Ino watched from the balcony with shocked eyes as Sasuke and another man get dragged unceremoniously by an eyeball with tentacles, dangling precariously in the air. She slapped a head to her forehead as she let out an exasperated sigh.

The creature threw Kakashi off one of its tentacles before turning to Sasuke. Kakashi created a teleporting rune midair, dropping him on solid ground and crashing into a car. "Ouch," he said as pain exploded in his back. The eyeball grabbed Sasuke, wanting to devour him with its mouth on the its other side. The pink-haired girl watched in horror as Sasuke struggled to break free. She stomped on the building she standing on, a diamond-shaped glow of energy prompting a large chunk of stone to drop on its head. Sasuke took the momentary distraction as a chance to break free, twitching his fingers to call upon his cape before a loud voice hollered in the distance.

The source of the voice was none other than Spiderman, the hero webbing his way towards them. "Your friendly neighborhood hero, Spiderman is here to-" A large tentacle slammed into him, sending him flying into a nearby building. 'That's gotta hurt,' he thought as he managed to slice off the tentacle around him. The cape drapped itself around him and Sasuke welcomed the pleasure of his trustee cape resting on his shoulders. He flew high, using his magic to bring into existence two large hands which grabbed the tentacles and locked them into place. He hauled a street lamp into the middle of its eye, adding more force than necessary for good measure. The creature thrashed and convulsed before finally going still. He let out a sigh of relief before searching the streets for the cause of all this destruction.

The pink-haired girl was running in the streets, hoping to get away from the Sorcerer Supreme and his friend. She turned around to see if they were following her before crashing into a solid chest which sent her tumbling to the ground. She looked up to see Sasuke staring down at her with an unpleased scowl. She scrambled up, wanting to turn tail and flee before bumping into Kakashi. She looked between the two of them, looking even more scared. "Please don't hurt me," her voice came out harsh and ragged. "We're not gonna hurt you kid. We just put our lives on the line for you. What we do want to know is why that creature was going after you," Kakashi spoke with an eye-smile. She was torn between wanting to run away but seeing that she didn't have an option, she finally relented.

"So let me get this straight, you can travel through the multiverse?" Kakashi asked as he watched her slurp on ramen. They were seated in Chinese shop which was rather crowded. She nodded before looking at Sasuke expectantly. "I saw you in my dream," he said objectively. "It wasn't a dream, it happened," she told him as she finished her bowl. "What do you mean it happened?" the magician asked. "It happened in another universe," she clarified. "That isn't possible," he argued but it was futile. He was looking at a person who could travel the multiverse. Plus there was the issue of Spiderman and his alternate selves. He chose to keep that information to himself. "It wasn't a dream. It happened really," she said firmly. "Well, I can't say she's wrong. Dreams are usually our experiences in another universe," Kakashi spoke. The girl looked at him smugly.

A young woman came to stand beside Sasuke. "Can I please take a picture with you?" she asked. "No," he replied without turning to look at her "Can I have an autograph then?" she pleaded. Sasuke sighed and with a flick of the wrist, signed the paper which she was holding. "Thanks!" she chirped before she scurried away. He turned to the girl with a questioning look.

"I knew you Sasuke. We were on our way to get to the Book of Ashanti when we were attacked," she told them. "The Book of Ashanti doesn't exist, it's only a myth," Sasuke pointed out. "Actually it does exist," the masked magician piped in. "And why didn't you tell me?" he turned to look at him with a glare. "That's classified information for the Sorcerer Supreme," came the amused huff. "Wait, you're not the Sorcerer Supreme?" she asked as she stared at Sasuke with wide eyes. "No, I'm not," he ground out. "Well, in that universe you were. Plus you had a ponytail too," she added with a cheeky grin. "I told you that a pony tail looks good-" "Don't you even start," the dark-haired magician warned with a glare.

" Anata wa totemo taikutsu desu," she spoke with an eye roll. " Sou desu ne?" Kakashi agreed. "What is she saying?" Sasuke asked. "Wait, you don't speak Japanese even though your name is basically the said language?" she asked with a flabbergasted expression. "No, I do not," he ground out. " Kare wa totemo yakkai desu yo ne?" she said as she looked at Kakashi. " Sore ni tsuite oshiete," the silver-haired magician agreed. "Why don't we all go back to a language we understand?" Sasuke said as he tried to control his rising annoyance. "Sorry, it's just that you spoke Japanese in my universe," she apologized with an embarrassed smile.

"We need to get you somewhere safe whilst we find out who's after you," Sasuke declared with finality as he stood up. "I'm not going anywhere with you. You betrayed me," she accused as her green eyes brimmed with angry tears. "That was another me. If I really wanted to betray you, I wouldn't have gone through all this trouble for you. How can you prove to us that you aren't lying?" Sasuke spoke as his eyes bore into hers. Her eyes were contemplative and insecure before she gave in.

To say Sasuke was shocked was an understatement. He was looking at himself, the body stiff and discolored with a cut on the thigh and a hole through his chest just like in the dream. He even had a pony tail. Whilst the gears in his head were running overdrive, he had his usual poker face in effect. "Does this make you believe me that I'm not lying?" the girl queried as she searched his eyes. Sasuke looked at her, feeling no lies as far as he could tell. "I believe you," Kakashi said, his features indiscernible behind his mask. "What's your name?" Sasuke asked her.

"Sakura, Sakura Haruno."

Okay, before you complain that I still have more than a dozen unfinished stories, I just want to scream AHHHHHHHH! Because I finished this chapter in one day, two hours to say. Can you believe that?! Yeah, I know, awesome. I had this idea for awhile before I finally decided to put it into writing. At first, I was searching for a fic pairing America Chavez and Doctor Strange because why the heck not? Unfortunately, I didn't find it and then this idea popped into my mind again so here I am writing. I'm going to fix come Naruto elements into it but basically I'll be following the Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness storyline. It's not canon compliant to the movie but somewhere along those lines. I hope you'll enjoy this story as much as I do.

Also, I haven't forgotten about my others but I can't determine a posting schedule. Just know that I'm not leaving an story unfinished.

With that being said, please don't forget to leave a review and follow this story for more.
