Chapter 1: Descent
The sun hung low on the horizon, casting long shadows across the rooftop of Musutafu High School. Izuku Midoriya stood at the edge, his heart heavy with despair. His thoughts swirled in a chaotic whirlwind, a cacophony of doubt and self-loathing echoing in his mind.
All Might's departure had left an irreparable void in Izuku's soul. The symbol of peace, the beacon of hope, had deemed him unworthy. Tears welled in Izuku's eyes as he gazed down at the bustling city below. What was the point of being a hero if he couldn't even save himself?
A bitter gust of wind swept across the rooftop, tousling Izuku's unruly green hair. His fingers trembled as he reached out, hesitating on the precipice of his fate. His heart pounded in his chest, the weight of his failures threatening to crush him.
With a final, desperate breath, Izuku closed his eyes and let gravity claim him. He plummeted, the wind roaring in his ears, drowning out the world below. For a fleeting moment, he felt weightless, liberated from the burdens of his existence.
Then, with a sickening thud, Izuku collided with the unforgiving pavement below. Pain exploded through his body, a searing agony that consumed him whole. He lay there, broken and defeated, the world fading to black around him.
But just as the darkness threatened to consume him, Izuku felt a presence looming over him. He blinked, his vision blurred and hazy, struggling to focus on the figure before him. It was a man, tall and imposing, his features obscured by shadow.
The man knelt beside Izuku, his eyes glowing with an otherworldly intensity. Izuku felt a shiver run down his spine, a chill that cut through the haze of his pain. There was something unnatural about this stranger, something primal and ancient that stirred in the depths of his soul.
"Who are you?" Izuku whispered, his voice barely a breath against the night.
The man's lips curled into a twisted smirk, a flicker of amusement dancing in his eyes. "Names are meaningless, boy," he hissed, his voice a low, rumbling growl that sent shivers down Izuku's spine. "But you... you may call me Black Eagle."
Izuku's heart skipped a beat at the name, a cold dread settling in the pit of his stomach. Black Eagle—the notorious villain whose very name struck fear into the hearts of heroes and civilians alike. What could he want with him?
"You... you're a villain," Izuku stammered, his voice trembling with fear and uncertainty.
Black Eagle chuckled, a dark and sinister sound that sent chills down Izuku's spine. "Oh, my dear boy," he purred, his voice dripping with malice. "I am so much more than a mere villain. I am your salvation."
Izuku recoiled, his mind reeling with disbelief. Salvation? How could a villain offer him salvation? But before he could voice his doubts, a searing pain lanced through his skull, a blinding agony that threatened to tear him apart.
He screamed, his voice lost in the void as Black Eagle's presence enveloped him, consuming him whole. Darkness closed in around him, swallowing him whole as his world dissolved into chaos.
And as the last vestiges of consciousness slipped away, Izuku felt a presence stir within him, a primal force awakening in the depths of his soul. It whispered promises of power and control, of a destiny forged in blood and shadow.
And with a final, agonized cry, Izuku surrendered to the darkness, his fate sealed in the embrace of the Black Eagle.
