Jason, Brock, and Ash continue the search for Pikachu with the assistance of Ash's newly caught Starly.

"Starly!" Starly cried out from its position in the sky.

"Hey, you hear that?" Ash asked.

"Starly spotted something," Brock said.

"Pooch, Eev," Luna and Eve cried out from Jason's shoulders.

The three trainers then looked to see sparks of electricity power coming from ahead.

"Check it out," Ash said as Aipom climbed onto his hat.

"That is some electric attack," Brock commented.

"Pikachu!" Ash shouted.

'I have a strong feeling that not from Pikachu but that power does seem familiar.' Jason thought starting at the area of where the electric attack was coming from.

Jason along rushed toward the source of the electrical attack directed toward a flock of Starly flying in the air.

"Starly over here!" Ash called out.

As Starly flew over towards Ash and landed on his shoulder. Jason noticed a familiar face a fifteen-year-old boy with mid-length purple hair that had one big strand hanging over the middle of his face, and small dark eyes. He was wearing a purple jacket with navy blue sleeves, a blue undershirt, dark purple pants, and purple and navy sneakers with white soles.

'I recognize that face from anywhere.' Jason thought studying the familiar face in front of him and the small electric Pokemon near him known as Elekid.

"I will thank you and your Starly for staying out of my way," He stated annoyed.

"I didn't know anyone was out here but us really," Ash said.

"It must have been his Elekid who launched that electric attack," Brock said as he and Aipom caught up with Jason and Ash.

"Seems like it was had a feeling it was," Jason said."It has been a while hasn't it Paul?"

"I don't care about greetings," Paul replied annoyed.

"So you know this guy," Ash said looking at Jason.

"Yeah met in Jhoto," Jason replied.

"Ah, any way you haven't happened to be a girl with a Pikachu around here have you?" Ash asked.

"No," Paul replied."You really think that Starly is good enough."

"Huh?"

"He sure hasn't changed," Jason mumbled.

"Pooch?" Luna asked looking up at Jason from her position near his right right.

"I watch you catch it don't you think you be a lot better off catching the best one you can," Paul commented.

"Of course," Paul said holding up three Pokeballs."Just take a look," He said sending out three Starly.

"You got three of them?" Ash asked as the three Starly landed in front of Paul's feet.

"You must know you can scan the Pokemon you catch with your Pokedex to check out what moves they can use," Paul said pulling out a black Pokedex."And that is just what I do. I figure that if you do that from the beginning it saves you a huge bunch of grief in the long run."

He moved the Pokedex around as he scanned the three Starly."Okay let's see aerial ace and the big winner is," Paul said returning the Starly. He then put the third one away and held out the other two."Take a hike I don't need you," He said releasing them back into the wild.

"Starly!" The two Starly cried out flying off.

"That's a weird way to treat Pokemon," Ash commented as he and Brock walked towards Paul.

"Hey the only attack those two knew is Tackle and Sand Attack," Paul said." So they wouldn't be much use anyway."

"You know what I think? Any Pokemon can be strong if you train them."

Paul simply chuckled.

"What are you laughing at?" Ash asked annoyed.

"It seems you still don't understand the true meaning of being a trainer," Jason stated.

"I didn't care about your opinion the day we battled and still don't," Paul commented."So you want to battle?" He asked looking at Ash.

"Sure let's do it!"

"We use three Pokemon," Paul stated.

Ash suddenly gasped after hearing that.

"Three on three is the best way to see what type of Pokemon a trainer is good with working with, and what kind of balance they got."

"I know but I only got two."

Aipom looked at Ash and let out a soft cry with Starly.

"You got to be joking," Paul said looking to the side."Talk about pathetic Elekid get going," He said walking away with Elekid.

"Man I wish Pikachu was here," Ash said.

"We will get Pikachu back," Jason said placing a hand on Ash's shoulder as support."You need to stay calm and focus."

Suddenly a loud noise was heard and the trio looked to see a powerful blast of electricity causing a bunch of Starly to take off.

"Ash, did you hear that?" Brock asked.

"That a volt tackle!" Ash exclaimed.

"This time for sure," Jason said as he Ashamd Brock rushed after the source.

"That's a Volt tackle huh?" Paul questioned as he watched them run on and off.

They arrived to see a young ten-year-old girl and a small Penguin Pokemon being attacked by mechanical arms.

"Eve Swift!" Jason called out sending out his Eevee.

"Aipom Swift as well and Starly Whirlwind!" Ash commanded.

Eve and Aipom aimed Swift at the arms and Starly increased the power of the attacks with a whirlwind.

"Huh?" Team Rocket questioned.

"Pikachu!" Ash shouted and paused confused.

"Hey it's the old twerp and his friends," James said.

"I know what he wants," Jessie stated.

"Maybe we should tell him Pikachu under new management," Meowth said as he move the controls and hit Ash knocking him down to the ground.

Aipom, Starly, and Brock rushed over to him worried.

"Ash!" Brock shouted kneeling next to Ash.

"He doesn't seem hurt so he should be fine," Jason said kneeling on one knee and examining Ash for wounds.

"Oh no you don't!" Ash shouted running towards the Team Rocket robot but was stopped by the mechanical tentacles.

"Ash don't do anything crazy," Brock said.

"You need to calm down," Jason said.

"They got Pikachu!" Ash sated.

"There is no doubt about it helpless twerps are my favorite twerps," Jessie commented.

"That must mean we win," James said.

"Time for Team Rocket success," Meowth said.

"Alert the press."

"This is your lucky day after all."

"You get to witness the brilliance of the new Team Rocket motto.

"Do we have to?"

"Well can't stop it now," Jason said seeing Team Rocket was already in the flow of the motto.

"Listen is that a voice I hear?"

"It speaking to me loud and clear."

"Floating on the wind..."

"Past the stars..."

"In your ear!"

"Bringing chaos at a breakneck pace..."

"Dashing hope, putting fear in its place."

"A rose by any other name is just as sweet..."

"Whenever things worse are work is complete."

"Jessie!"

"James!"

"Meowth now that's a name!"

"Putting the do-gooders in their place..."

"Team Rocket..."

"We're in your face!"

"Woobufet!"

"Mime! Mime!"

"That was something," Jason mumbled lolking at Luna and Eve.

Ash is completely annoyed with them and runs forward at the robot as Team Rocket attempts to attack him, but he Jumps out of the way and into a tree and begins climbing up one of the arms.

"Ah," Team Rocket gasped.

"I'm coming to Pikachu!"

"Pika!"

"He got that look in his eye," Meowth said worried.

"Well look at these," James said as he made the arms attack Ash but they kept missing until one accident hit the center of the robot.

"Ugh," Ash grunted as he attempted to free Pikachu as the robot began to spark.

"Ash hurry I think it going to blow," Brock said.

Ash continued to grunt as he attempted to free Pikachu. Jason narrowed his eyes ducked down and threw a Pokeball as the machine exploded into smoke sending Team Rocket blasting off. The smoke clears leaving the robot in pieces on the ground.

"Pikachu! Hey Ash!" Brock shouted.

"Pikachu?"

"Pip."

"They should be fine," Jason said as a piece of the robot moved and lifted up to reveal Flare carrying Pikachu and Ash out of the rummage.

"You okay Pikachu," Ash said happily hugging Pikachu.

"That Pokemon," Dawn said impressed by the power coming from the large power she had never seen carrying Ash and Pikachu.

"Yeah Flare is something alright," Jason said holding up a Pokeball."Now return my friend thanks for the assistance."He said returning to Flare his number one partner as Aipom and Starly headed over to Ash and Pikachu.

"Pikachu we did it," Dawn said happily.

"You saved my Piakchu thanks so much," Ash said walking over toward Dawn."Thank you so much. My name is Ash Ketchum from Pallet Town and it's really great to meet you."

"Hi, I'm Brock."

"The name Jason and that Pokemon was my Flare my Typlosion and my very first Pokemon," Jason introduced."These two are Luna and Eve," He said pointing at the two Pokemon on his shoulders.

"My name is Dawn and this is my partner Piplup," Dawn said.

"So that's a Piplup," Ash said holding out his red Pokedex.

[Piplup, the Penguin Pokemon. It is very proud and its thick down protects it from the cold.]

"I sure hope your Piplup okay after that," Ash said.

"Thanks but Piplup is fine, you tell them Piplup."

"Piplup."

"Wow, you're a tough Pokemon."

"Pip," Piplup said as it spun around and fell to the ground.

"Huh?"

"Piplup no."

"Hey it okay your Piplup is most likely worn out from battling," Jason said as pulled out a berry and fed it to Piplup as Brock treated him with a potion."Glad Pikachu is safe again. Anyway, I'm going to get going you better take Pikachu and Piplup to get the Pokemon center."

"You leaving already?" Ash asked.

"Yeah it was nice seeing you again and meeting your Dawn, but I'm on a journey of self-discovery we see each other again," Jason said with a nod as he walked off to begin his new journey in the Sinnoh Region.

I changed Luna's ability I ran away and Eve had Swift instead of Quick Attack. Now with Pikachu safe Jason is now going his separate way and will soon get his own travel buddy as well as his next first capture in the Sinnoh Region. I know what it going to be but you have to wait and see. Also, I plan on making a love story for Misty at some point, but if there is another character you like Ine for let me know.
