Chapter 2: My Adorable Son Kills The Minotaur With His Bare Hands

Thunder roared as my dearest little brother called for another council meeting, I got out of my shared bed and kissed my sleeping and tired wife goodbye.

I had worn her out, such is the curse of being Great God Poseidon, none of my lovers, bar Aphrodite and Gaea, ever matched my sexual appetite.

I sighed and with a wave of my hand my once nude body was covered in a white dress suit. I conjured a mirror and looked at my clean shaven appearance. I adjusted my black tie and ran my hand through my long aquamarine blue hair. I typically didn't allow my hair to change back to its original color due to the modern world but occasionally it was nice to go back to my authentic self.

After all my sea green eyes, aquamarine blue hair and deep tan were the gifts I was given from my beloved mother. It was a shame that I allowed the modern world to dictate my appearance so much.

"Looking as handsome as ever Poseidon." My narcissism aside, it was time to see my family. I adjusted my new found power but then realized it wouldn't matter, they wouldn't be able to sense my recent ascension either way, no one would.

I summoned my golden trident and smiled softly. It was time.

I arrived in the throne room unnoticed. The others were already seated on their thrones, 20 meters tall and all. The tension was palpable, even my sweet elder sister Hestia was affected by it, despite being in her 9 year old form tending to the hearth in the middle of the Hall of Gods.

I couldn't help but smile softly as I turned into sea form and appeared behind my sister who inherited much from my dearest mother. I hugged her gently and kissed the crown of her head.

"P-Poseidon?!" Hestia stammered, taken aback from the sudden affection I bestowed upon her, even I was slightly taken aback at my own actions. I felt the eyes of my siblings, nephews and nieces bore into my back in a mixture for surprise, shock and confusion.

Well Zeus' did contain anger, but that's neither here nor there. "Yes my dearest sister?"

"Unhand her Poseidon!" Zeus' voice thundered, I rolled my eyes at my dramatic little brother.

I turned my head and childishly stuck my tongue out. Hestia squirmed within my grasp but she couldn't get away, naturally due to me easily being stronger than her, even prior to my power boost. "What, I can't shower my favorite sister with love and affection?"

That caught everyone off guard and the look of jealousy, anger and envy from Hera and Demeter looked absolutely delicious on my other two sister's faces.

Hera always assumed that she was my favorite dude to our shared bond in father's stomach and Demeter was once my lover, though calling her my lover was a bit too disingenuous.

Hmm. Maybe that mortal girl's soul did something more than just give me an epiphany and powers?

"Poseidon let go." Hestia stammered cutely as she looked up with her warm brown eyes, a slight blush on her face due to the sudden physical affection.

While Hera may have inherited all of my mother's beauty, Hestia had her warmth. I tightened my hug before letting go.

I laughed without restraining my true voice. "Anything for my beloved big sister."

I could feel nearly everyone look entranced briefly before they regained their senses. I patted my elder sister's head before taking my seat on the council.

Hestia briefly looked like she wanted to stop me but shook her head and just a deafening silence followed the aftermath.

"What's up with the new look Uncle P?" Apollo asked, my favorite little nephew looked at me with a mixture of emotions.

I smiled brightly at the Sun God. "Sometimes it's good to return to the classics, no?"

I could feel the heavy looks everyone was giving me, the light blush on Apollo's face as he was faced with the full force of my voice and youthful face. Being the God of Music he was affected to a greater degree by my voice.

"That much is true, Poseidon." Aphrodite said, her voice purring slightly as she gave me an entrancing smile filled with promise of something more.

Apollo, Hermes, Dionysus, Artemis, Athena, Ares and Hephaestus had never seen me in this form after all. Only my siblings, parents and lovers have ever seen me like this.

"You should definitely stay like this Uncle." Hermes added with a playful grin that I was familiar with.

I shook my head with a smile of my own that seemed to take away his breath. "Maybe."

"I am sure you'll use your old form to seduce more innocent mortal woman, right Uncle." Athena said snidely.

I smiled and shook my head at my one time rival. "I wasn't planning anything of the sort. I offered my eternal vow to My Queen to never father any more demigods but unfortunately she rejected my offer."

Both my statement and my lack of aggression seemed to take her by surprise. How predictably cute, little Athena, you are centuries too young to try and get one over me, when I'm level headed at least.

"Why would she do that?" Artemis asked, she was confused as was Hera.

I shrugged innocently. "That my dearest niece is something you'll have to ask my wife herself."

"How foolish." Hera commented darkly. I silently agreed, my beloved wife was foolish for rejecting my offer but it only made me love her more.

Hera would never offer Zeus such a boon, she was far too jealous and possessive but that was what made her so charming to Zeus, even me to some degree, in the first place— after he swallowed and killed his first wife, Metis.

"Maybe so." I smiled lovingly at my elder sister, who snorted and looked away from me. I want to shower my family with all the love and affection possible, even Zeus and Hades after this whole debacle ended.

We'll truly be a happy family, for the first time since the fall of the Titans. It would take some time but I knew the future and am more than willing to put forth the effort to fix our toxic and unhealthy family.

"ENOUGH!" Zeus' voice ruined the peaceful and charged vibes that I created. "Cease this charade at once Poseidon! I want my bolt back!"

I sighed at my brother as everyone tensed up once again. "For the millionth time I didn't steal it, little brother."

Me calling him little brother only got under Zeus' skin as he summoned his battle attire, his body covered with arcs white-blue lightning. "I don't believe it! You've always desired my throne, to be the King! You sent your blasted spawn and stole my symbol of power brother! Don't pretend otherwise!"

I stood up my trident in hand, but unlike Zeus I didn't summon my armor. The rest of the council all seemingly prepared for a fight but to the shock and confusion of everyone I sat back down and stayed silent as Zeus' rage grew. They were even more confused as I seemingly stared at The King of Gods with a small frown.

There were certain things that I would unfortunately have to allow for our family to truly get back together. As much as the baseless accusations angered me I could hold it back.

"Father," Athena spoke, briefly glancing at me as if she was trying to decipher a puzzle.

But before Athena could say something wise or strategic Zeus swiped the air in front of him and a scene of Long Island appeared.

The Minotaur appeared in the transparent screen chasing after my one time love Sally Jackson, my son and the Saytr, Grover Underwood, to the border of Camp Half-Blood.

My hand gripped my symbol of power as I knew what was about to happen. The Minotaur grasped Sally Jackson and began to crush her.

Despite knowing that she would be safe, despite knowing that this was essential for my son's growth I did something that I didn't expect. Just before Hades claimed my Sally, I teleported her into my arms.

I allowed my body to take a more mortal form, standing at 6 '3, in my arms Sally Jackson as I stood in front of my throne.

She looked much older than before, her beautiful brown hair had some gray streaks, there were slight wrinkles on her once beautiful face but I couldn't stop the small embers of love that I once held for this woman to roar back to life.

There were gasps and voices of shock and anger at what I had done. Zeus was yelling something but I turned him out and made sure Sally couldn't hear anything but me.

"My love." On Long Island there was a storm as my son drew his demigod powers, I supplied as much as his current body could handle. Perseus ripped the Minotaur's horn off his head and slew his second monster.

My voice made Sally open her eyes as my powers healed her wounds, her sparkling blue eyes took in my appearance. While she aged much in the past 12 years I hadn't changed.

"Poseidon…" Sally's wonderful voice made me remember the nights we shared. This was the woman whom I loved only second to my wife, the only mortal woman whom I ever crowned with the title of Queen Amongst Mortals.

Her confusion, worry, fear and hopelessness all made my heart squeeze. I smiled reassuringly. "Don't worry my love. Perseus is safe, he's our son after all."

I ran my fingers through her soft brown hair and inhaled her scent. She smelled like sweets, ash and everything wonderful about humanity.

Sally's once tense body relaxed as she snuggled in my chest. I was well aware of the eyes that bore into me, the jealousy, the anger, the hurt and the loathing; most were directed at my Sally unfortunately.

Once again I made my offer. "Come down with me Sally," My voice echoed through the now quiet throne room as my family watched. "Spent eternity with me as My Queen, Amphitrite and you. I will protect you from all that dares to harm you."

This was an offer that I only gave thrice in my lifetime. Once to Amphitrite and twice to Sally Jackson, the wide eyed and slacked jaws of Demeter, Aphrodite, Apollo, Athena, Hermes, Zeus, Artemis and Hera looked at me as if I was something alien, something incomprehensible.

Hestia only looked at me with concern and hope. Being the Goddess of Family she knew my current feelings had dramatically shifted.

The rage I tried to hold back due to my own loyalty to my family was threatening to overwhelm me. Even though I nearly allowed Hades to claim her due to knowing the future, even though I knew she would be safe, that she would be happy, that she would eventually find a new love…it couldn't hold back the possessiveness, the maddening love that I held for Sally Jackson.

I didn't get a reply. I chuckled which turned into a full on laugh as Sally Jackson slept comfortably within my arms. I briefly wondered what my face looked like right now.

Aphrodite, Apollo, Demeter and even Hermes gave a look filled with longing and desire. I must've made quite a beautifully tragic face for 5 Immortals to fall in love so quickly.

"Little brother— no. Olympians, my beloved my family, if any of you so much as touch, harm or curse Sally Jackson and my precious son Perseus Jackson…" I glared at every single one of the immortals who were present. They all shivered in abject horror and hurt, good. "I swear upon my immortality, on my domains, that I will start a war so violent and tragic that this world will cease to exist, I will personally raze Olympus to the ground!"

I slammed my trident on the nigh-invincible marble floor of the Hall of Gods and made my oath before returning to my domain, ignoring the stabbing pain in my own chest at having made such a declaration.

Damn Poseidon ain't playing around about his family. Clearly the mortal soul did more than just give him a power boost due to the Essences, lol.

Poseidon's hopes and aspirations of a happy Olympian family crashed just as fast as he thought of them the moment he saw Sally getting hurt, unpredictable ass mf. Lmfao.

Hope y'all liked this chapter, it was definitely fun to write. Hopefully Ares doesn't actually fight Percy or else it's bye bye Olympus and the rest of the world. It's gonna be fun writing the reactions of the Olympians in the upcoming chapters and then writing a Percy chapter. Not really sure which one I should do first.

Also who should be the mortal girl in question, give me some suggestions about some tragic anime, movie or book female character that deserves better than the hand dealt to her.

Favorite, follow and review.

Thanks for reading and see y'all in the next chapter.
